5800 XpressMusic - Password for screen/key block

I apologise in advance if this has been asked 10000 times already, but I can't find it anywhere in the Bedienungsanleitung or here.
How can I set a code for the screen/key block so that only I can actually use my phone?
If it's somewhere on the net then just a link would be fine

to add to that, default lock code is 12345. Change the code in the Settings of the phone.

Hi, Lisa. Now I see what you're desperate about.
Does it allow you to go ahead and use the iBook after you cancel the Keychain login? If so, it's not a big deal.
Are you able to go to System Preferences > Accounts and create a new account for yourself? That should eliminate Keychain password problems.

Maybe they will help you get it seated better. It's considered a customer-installable part, so it should be easy enough for you to handle without worrying about goofing anything up.
What CDs (if any) came with the iBook?
Which version of the operating system is it running?
How big is the hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If it's the original hard drive, it's getting very old and could fail at any time. The identifier "PowerBook 4,1" tells me that the iBook is ten years old, and is either a 500 or 600 MHz PowerPC G3 (Dual USB) iBook. As such, you can't expect a whole lot from it.
The optical drive on this iBook could be a CD-ROM (reads CDs only), CD-RW (reads and writes CDs; no DVD capability), DVD (reads CDs and DVDs), or Combo (reads and writes CDs; reads DVDs) drive.

5800 Xpressmusic getting capacitive screen?

Engadget are posting a rumour that the 5800 is to get revised with a capacitive screen instead of a resistive one. I'm taking this with a pinch of salt, given that the 5800 has a stylus (maybe it's just a new handset model similar to the 5800), but it's nice to hear that Nokia are considering capacitive displays now. An N97 with that display would be outrageously awesome.
Help I'm trapped in a sig factory.

hi there, try the Nokia Carrying Case CP-361 for 5800 XM or you could at least try to visit any nokia store near your place and try to look for alternatives

Copy / Paste for the key of a Wifi connection on N...

Hello,
It would be great to be able to paste a password for the key of a Wifi network.
When a key is more than 60 char long and has a lot of special characters, it is really hard to type (with a numeric key because it is not possible to use the azerty keyboard on this screen).
Also, to be able to select some text from a Txt file would be great (so I can copy a text file in the memory card of the GSM and then I can paste it
Is there a way to do it?

Press and hold the 'pencil' icon and at the same time, push the cursor towards the text. You'll be able to see the text being highlighted. Once you've completely highlighted the text, you'll be able to see 2 options on screen: Copy / Paste. Select 'Copy' (with your finger still pressing the 'pencil' button.) Now let go of the pencil button, and press and hold it again, then select 'Paste'
You can even exit the application that you were in and start a new one and paste your copied text there. The text will still be stored in memory until u either select another text to copy or restart the phone.

Screen capture on 5800 XpressMusic

I'm currently using the ubiquitous "Best ScreenSnap" on my 5800XM. However, this only works properly as long as your screen is in portrait mode. Switch it to landscape mode and you only get part of the screen in the resulting screen capture, like this:
So, basically, I'm wondering if anyone has come across any other software to perform a screen capture on S60v5.

I tried another freeware app Screenshot for Symbian yesterday, but on the 5800 the camera button which is the default, doesn't take a snapshot but invokes the camera. The other hot-key choices require the keypad to be up which isn't a good option for this touch-screen phone. Maybe when I get some time I'll play around with the source code & figure out how to make it work.

I used to have a duplicate apple id which I thought was gone but is now blocking me from updating apps, How do I get rid of it since I no longer have a password for it?

I used to have duplicate apple ids and I thought they got merged into one. a few weeks ago the old one showed up in my Apps screen on my new iphone5 and is keeping me from updating all my apps and adding new ones. I can't reset the password for it because it doesn't exist anymore. Resetting my current apple ID has no effect on this old Apple ID and it continues to block my APPs application. Anybody out there have a solution? I have reset my phone more times than I can count to no avail.

App updates will always prompt with the Apple ID used to puchase those apps. You also CANNOT merge Apple IDs. What you can do:
1) Delete those apps purchased w/ your previous Apple ID asking to be updated and purchase/download it with your current Apple ID.
2) Contact Apple support to help you reset the password of your previous Apple ID then rename it with another email address of yours (active and shouldn't be another Apple ID) so you'll be able to do future app updates.
3) Leave those apps not updated and just continue w/ your current Apple ID for your purchases.

5800 XpressMusic Screen...

I'm having a problem with my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic screen...
When i turn the screen on, receive a phone call or even make a call (anything that turns the screen on) the screen blurres, when i use the buttons "blindly" for a while the screen returns back.
I really don't know what's wrong with the screen, i don't know if the problem is with the screen or it's a software issue...
Please if anyone can help me out..

Private key password for Default DemoIdentity Keystore?

I am trying to Configure SSL in ALSB. I have created the PKI Credential mapping for the Default DemoIdentity Keystore
But it is asking for the password to access the Keypair.
The document states that i need to provide the password set during the creation of the keystore
but as i am using the default keystore i dont know where to look for the password.
Error :
[Security:090809|The key pair could not be retrieved from the keystore with the supplied alias demoidentity and its password
I tried using the KeyStorePassphrase but it didnt help me much ..
Can any one help me on this?

To be more precise you can use something like

Maybe. What kind of other computer are you talking about? What operating system is it running? What kind of wireless router are you using?
Your best bet may be to just reset the router and set it up again.
Just so you know, WEP is a very old security system for wireless and is considered insecure. If you have it available, use WPA2.

2 options
1. restore it to a backup you took before you put a password on
2. restore it to factory settings if there was a work around then the whole password thing would be rather pointless and security would be absent
