5800XM Headset and ringing tone issue

i am using the nokia 5800XM cellular phone. Nearly everything works fine except for one annoying issue. When the headset is attached and I get a incomming call the ringing tone will be played through the headphones of the headset and through the integrated speaker of the phone.
When the headset is attached the phone automatically switches to a profile I created. The settings are as following:
ringing tone: (mp3.file)
Ringing type: Ringing
Ringing volume (lowest)
Message alert toneff
Key tones: Level 2
Vibrating alertff
Video call toneff
E-mail alert tone: Off
Say caller's name: On
3-D ringing tone effect: Off
Touch screen vibration: Level 2
Touch Screen tones: Level 2
Alert for: All calls
Okay now the funny thing is the "Touch Screen tones" are only hearable through the headphones, when those are attached. But when there is an incomming call the speakers are active too.
I even deactivated the"Say caller's name" option but that didn't solve the problem. When the option " Ringing type" is set to "silent" then there is no ringing tone and even the name of the caller won't be mentioned.
Maybe I oversee an option somewhere or it is not intended to work the way I want it. Just want to know whether it is possible that the integrated speakers are disabled while the headset is attached. And if so how this can be achieved.

If you are having issues with iPhone ringing not stopping when you answer, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I can no longer sync music, books and ring tones

I recently updated my iTunes, and something has changed. I can sync music and audio books - but it erases my ring tones. I noticed this, and attempted to sync my ring tones -- only to lose all of my music and audio books. I have the "manually manage music and videos" box checked (though the check keeps disappearing). This is so frustrating! Anyone know what's going on?

ITunes 7.4.1 (2)...Not showing and Ring Tone Icons for An Songs...

I have recently upgraded to the newest version of iTunes. However, of the 1,000+ songs I have,
the ring tone icon is not showing up at all to create any ring tones for my iPhone. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

So after my last response, I have now managed to get the Ring tone identifier bar showing possible ring tone songs to show up in iTunes. However, none of my 1,000 + songs have an icon to allow me to make a ring tone.
Any ideas...

Lumia 800 headphone and ringing tone loadness

Just upgraded to the latest SW. After that I was listening music with the headphones. Suddenly music started to play very load at the same time with incoming call, almost my head exploded. Not so good feature. Also without headphones, if someone calls me, ringing tone starts always load, then after second or two it goes back to niormal level I have set. Has anybody face similar problems ? P.S. iphone headphones don't work with Lumia 800, nobody can hear me talking, but i can hear them.

Nokia 6630: Headset and ring question.

Is there any setting to make the ring come out of the phone's loudspeaker, instead of the connected headset?

Sadly the only thing you can do is set the vibrate and hope you feel it. People generally wear the headset when they have it connected as trying to put it on may be considered an offence, like smoking, you are not in full control of the vehicle. It is probably one of the many Nokia safety features like the volume getting turned down or sadly on mine no sound coming out of the headset. lol doubt that is a safety feature.

where are the ringtones cant find any on apple store.
also the price shock of 200 how does that get adjusted.
as loyal users who bought during week one, we got shafted.
if steve gave us 100 free songs or something, it would make us feel better for paying 200 more?

I'm not sure about that. It does kind of suck, but that's what happens will all Apple products, and technology in general, it seems. The price went down, and they got rid of the low-end iPhone: that probably means they are planning on bringing out a major upgrade at some point fairly soon (say, a bigger hard drive to mirror the new iPods, for instance). They have most likely stumbled on a better, cheaper way to make the iPhone and to give it an upgrade, so they are lowering the prices and upping the features, just like they have on the MacBook's, iMacs, etc. These things just happen. Now, on the time issue, I definitely agree: two months is completely ridiculous. But it seems like they are trying to get rid of the current stock of iPhones so they can come out with a newer, better version that will please the power users. Ironically, only TIME will tell, I guess.
As for the ringtones, I don't understand it either. LOL. People say there are ringtones on the iTunes Store, and I looked and did FIND tracks with ringtone in the titles or album titles, but this doesn't mean they are real ringtones, or at least Apple-supported ringtones. To me, it just looks like a bunch of songs that just happen to have ringtone in the title. They'll add the real ringtone capabilities next week. People are just getting ahead of Apple, and themselves.

I have an iPhone 4S... For a few weeks my speakers won't play my music, YouTube videos, recorded videos, But it will play my alarms and ring tones. Also when I try to move the volume up or down with the - and signs on the side nothing happens. Plz help

I have been able to change ringer volume by the settings, but it doesn't adjust the media or music volume at all.

I am not having that issue. Try a hard reset on the phone. Hold down the power button and the home button at the ame time until you see the apple logo

Different alerts for email and sms messages for a contact with custom ring tone

Hello,
I have a Curve 8530 with OS 5.0.0.395.
I have my default sound profile set up to play one type of alert sound when I receive and email message and another when I receive an SMS message (so I know the difference without looking at my phone). That works fine except for contacts that I also have a custom ring tone set up for. It seems that under the Custom Ring Tones/Alerts section of the contact there is only one entry for Messages and it applies to both email and SMS. If I have the contact's message alerts set to the alert I have for email, then their SMS messages play the same alert and I might think it's an email. Or if I have the messages alerts set to the SMS alert sound then their emails sound like SMS messages. Is there a way to have a custom ring tone set up for a contact but still allow their emails and SMS messgaes to follow the current sound profile's settings?

CUCM 8.6.1.2000 - Call History not logging, and no ring tone access.

A little background:
Recently, I setup a UCS C-210 M2 with CUCM 8.6.1 and restored our Pub and Sub to it. Also migrated to from physical Unity to Virtual CUC, same with Presence.
I've also setup a 2nd CUCM Sub, as well as new CUC and CUP subs on a second UCS C210. I also upgraded CUP to 8.6.4. before adding the Sub CUP node.
I'm thinking my problems began when I added the 2nd Subscriber CUCM node on our 2nd C210. Here is a description of what's going on.
- I cannot change ring tones on an IP phone. I get "Ring List Unavailable" when I try to change a ring tone. I noticed that my phone had changed over to the CTU ring tone around the time I brought up the VM environment. The CTU ring tone was a custom one I had loaded at one time.
- I cannot access any call history on my IP phone. My Jabber client logs call history just fine.
Seems to be a TFTP issue, but I restarted the Cisco TFTP service yesterday, and it did not help. I also reset the Device Pool, which didn't seem to do anything.
Also, I'm still a bit unclear on which services I should be running on my new Subscriber node.

I had this issue and resolved it. The problem was that we had changed DHCP servers over to a different platform and the new DHCP server didn't have Option 66 defined to point the phones to a TFTP server. Once we re-specified the TFTP server IP's for option 66 in DHCP and reboot the phones the issue was resolved.
