I have attempted everything! I have reseted it manually and even restored it on iTunes. Still Nothing. Someone please help!

Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try the reset (both buttons) and restore as necessary.

My guess, based on your info and the fact that the shuffle is an older model, is that the shuffle's battery is worn out and not holding a charge.  When you plug it in, it functions because it is getting power from the USB connection and appears to charge.  When you disconnect it, it goes dead because battery does not hold the charge.
Since you have already tried doing a Restore, the problem is hardware and not software.  Unless you want to do the work yourself

the cost for replacing the battery probably exceeds the $50 for a new 4th gen shuffle.

  • Equium L40 - Screen went whole black during working

    Hi,
since yesterday I have a problem with my notebook. During working screen went whole black and notebook stop working. I cannot normally run notebook now because every time it stop working after few seconds and I can only it turn off.
I tried to find anything in BIOS but it stop working too so I don't have too much time. Once I saw comunicate 'Media test failure', I tried to reboot with a recovery disk but it stop reading DVD drive after few seconds as well.
I have Windows Vista, I don't think it's a virus. The moment from starting to shutting down computer is about 3-15seconds. And if I try to run it right after shut down it's stopping work faster.
Warranty service is 200km from me so I would be glad to get any help here:)
    [edit]
I tried to take our and put in battery, doesn't change anything. Sometimes without battery I can't turn on notebook at all (it won't happen with battery inside).

    Hi
For me it sounds like a hardware malfunction because the DVD drive stops reading the recovery disk.
Its really hard to say what is the reason for this, maybe its a problem of the mainboard or RAM.
The RAM you can test with Memtest86 ([www.memtest86.com]). There you can download an image for a bootable disk. Download it, burn it on a disk and boot from it. The test will start automatically and if the RAM is faulty the program should find it.
If Memtest86 cant find an error I think you must sent the notebook to an authorized service provider. The technicians can check the notebook and exchange the faulty parts. I think they will help you as fast as possible.

  • When online in Safari the screen is gray/black transparent. Everything else is OK.  Email is fine.

When I try to get online in Safari the screen opens gray/black transparent and I can not get anywhere.  Everything else seams to be OK.  Email is fine.

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • IPad screen went blank / black

I tried to delete a certain apps that's not responding and the iPad screen went blank.

    Hi iDheygy,
Reset your iPad (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if all is well.

    Hello @DesCherryBomb,
I understand that you are having issues with your HP 2310m monitor going blank and/or flickering. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. Ipod Touch 1st generation: blank white screen - I tried holding both buttons and connecting it to the computer, restoring it, and still nothing. What else can I do? I did not drop it in water.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My ipad has completley frozen, I restored it, but still nothing, any idea what the problem could be ?

My ipad has completley frozen, I've restored it, but still nothing, any ideas ?

I think that maybe Gail is thinking about using a computer since there is no mouse to use with an iPad
What you describe is pretty typical of system sounds being muted, with the exception of the fact that you still have sound in FB videos, but take a look at this anyway. System sounds and screen lock use the same pair of settings. When one uses the side switch, the other is controlled with a software switch.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6, the system sound control is in the task bar at the bottom. Double tap the home button and swipe all the way to the right in the task bar to get to the speaker icon on the left side. Tap on that and the sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • My i phone 4 screen went completely black and screen will not work but i can screenshot and other buttons vibrate and make a sound the screen just dosent respond.

my home button was not working and I was in my settings looking for the advert touch or whatever it is called and my phone went completely black. al the buttons worked such as screen shotting (it made the sound) and turning on my ringer, the screen just didn't respond. I left it alone and plugged in over night and it hasn't done anything different. I also plugged it into my computer and it still did nothing. what can I do to resolve this problem?

    Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

  • Screen went gray need to be fixed under international warranty?!

    Hello,
I just bought Macbook Pro 13.3 inch, md 101 i believe is the 2010 model from Dubai last month. I bought it in Computer Plaza which is the place most people in Dubai go for a good deals.
After using 1.5 month the screen went blank, after power up it shows apple logo and then screen turns to gray, i can see and move the mouse cursor, the keyboard lights are on. I tried many tricks like safe mode start up and some sort of resets that i read on macbook threads, nothing has worked. So, I beleive according to some owner the problem is either on logic board or Nvidia. To get it fixed or replaced I have to go Authorised Repair Shop, but there is no one in my city (Dushanbe, Tajikistan). Planning to fly to Dubai in couple days, so please advise where should i take it? Since it was bought without local/Dubai warranty, only International warranty exists. Can it be still fixed under international warranty in Dubai? if yes, where?
Apperantly, when you buy apple products in Dubai, they ask you if you want local warranty or not, if you say you dont need local just international they reduce the price.
Please advise, macbook owners from Dubai or anybody that has solution.
    Any advise is appreciated.
    Max

    Problem solved by simply
-restarting in Safe Mode- power up holding shift key
-when the screen turns to gray and you see the mouse curson tyepe the first letter of your username hit enter
-then type your password, hit enter
-you will see beach ball cirlcling after that installation starts and all back to normal.
Apparantly, i did not go ahead with needed update and close the lid when the update was going after that i could not get my screen to turn on. Thanks to Apple Support Community the problem is solved. I wish I could tag that person's thread but i dont have to do it.
    Thanks All!

  • Screen went to black

I posted last week about a problem with my Safari connection crashing and had success with your suggestion to re-start it. However, today, while working on a document, my screen went blackeven though my machine was plugged in. I have a fairly new battery (April) - and I want to make clear that the screen went black, but the machine was still on - a couple of message screens came up, but I couldn't read them becaue every time I shut the top and reopened the screen would come up for a moment and then go to black - I waited a couple hours, but decided to take out the battery and put back in - obviously the machine started back up (as I am writing this on it now)but what is going on? I have noticed 2 additional things - 1) the bottom of my machine gets quite hot when being used (both plugged in and on battery) and 2) when I attach the plug, the orange light comes on, but immediately goes to green if I open the machine (even if the battery is quite low) then goes back to orange after a minute or two - whatever could be the problem?
    thanks!

Thanks - I just got back from the Geniuses and they checked everything out and ran triage on my system and updated the software - they couldn't find anything, so I hope it's fixed - I should not have undone the battery when this happened - I should have just taken my computer in while the problem was occurring - which is what I'll do if it happens again -thanks for your advice - but I have another question - I am not able to aunch my Safari...can you help me...
I know I am not very savvy

  • Screen Went Completely Black

Turned on my MacBook Pro tonight, and the screen was completely black. Keys seems to work, and the sound seems to work. Tried turning it off and then on again. Nothing worked. Any ideas why this would happen?

If your Mac has the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics chip, you could have this problem:

If so, you will get a free repair.
    Good luck!
