5G iPod to TV Slideshow Music?

I have a 5g ipod video. I sync my entire itunes library and iPhoto library (all photos and albums). Only photos and albums show up on the ipod no slideshows from iphoto are copied to the ipod. I assume this is normal. My problem is when I connect the ipod to my TV using my dock and video cables to play a slideshow of an album the ipod seems to select the playlist for the background music. I want to know if there is a way for me to choose what playlist the ipod uses as background music when playing a slideshow.

Found the photo settings in the ipod photo menu. It gets lost among the albums. it should be in the top ipod setting menu.

You most likely synced your iPod to a different iTunes then you previously synced it with. You won't be able to get all of your music back unfortunately unless you had it backed up.

If the music you are wanting to have on your iphone was purchased through itunes you can then go to your front display to settings>itunes and app store from there you have a toggled switch that allows you to automatically download music and apps by toggling the switch. You will need to toggle the switch below these switchs that allows for cellular data to be enabled if this has not already been enabled. This then will automatically download music and apps directly to your device with no additional charge to you.

You can authorize up to five computers for your iTunes purchases.
If manually managing your device you can add content from any library.
If automactially syncing content is managed from one library.
Purchased content can be transfered from a device into an authorised library, otherwise iTunes only transfers content to the device.

Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

How can I transfer new music from a different iTunes onto my iPod without erasing the music already on it?

I have music on my iPhone and iPod nano from my old computer back home, and am now at college 2 hours away with my new laptop and a different repertoire. Just to be safe I tried syncing my old iPod nano with my new iTunes and rather than adding the music to my iPod it replaced all the music already on it. If you did not yet connect with iTunes, you can place any music from your library back into your iPod from the computer. When set to automatically manage usic and videos, whatever iTunes finds changed in your music app will be reset to what is on your computer iTunes library.

You may need to do a Restore in iTunes.
Clicking sounds from an iPod that has a hard drive is probably not a good thing. It is possible that your iPod's hard drive is becoming unreliable.
