5s audio video to RCA equipped TV adapter/converter

I have a 4S and want to upgrade to the 5s. My 4S allows my to transmit audio and video (e.g., Netflix) to my old RCA plug-equipped TV via a Skiva av adapter. Is there an adapter/converter that will allow 5s to do the same? That would be HDMI converted to an RCA TV-type adapter/converter that would accept the Lightning plug. OK off market. Thanks.

I found out the reason the sound was cutting out was I had the TV set to auto on the audio output. It needs tobe set to pcm.

Audio video adapter problems

Audio/Video input via RCA connection on HP pavillion desktop PC

I have an HP pavillion elite hpe-360z CTO desktop PC running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). There are a number of interface connections in the front, including USB 2.0, I394, S-video, and RCA (A/V In). I want to input video from a camcorder into this PC via the RCA connection, but I can't seem to get it to recognize that there is anything connected there. Is there a driver I need to get to make this work?

Hi,
As from your original message which says your machine has a wirefire port. Canon ZR70 use miniDV tapes therefore a firewire cable is a perfect match for this situation. The camera may use 4-pin connector and computer normally uses 6-pin connector. As mentioned above, one cable similar to one of the following cables will definitely help.

Mini DisplayPort to S-Video or RCA (yellow)

I know this has been addressed in other topics by other people, but I was wondering what the final outcome of all the discussion was. Is it possible to connect my MacBook Pro 13-inch with Mini DisplayPort to female S-Video or RCA (composite--yellow color). I can already connect the audio with no problem. I just need the video connection to be made.

It can be done but you need a converter box like this:

And you'll also need the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter if you don't already have one.

Mini Dvi to S-video/Composite/RCA

I have a 2007 black macbook and recently bought a Mini-DVI to video adapter (brand-dynex) and hooked it up to my older television (TV has no hdmi hookup or dvi, just S-Video and RCA) and I could faintly make out my computer screen but it was all "scratchy" and was moving across the screen. I changed the resolution and it became black and gray lines moving up and down the screen. I was wondering how can I hook my computer up to this older TV to watch movies online (I wont be upset with low quality). Do I need to purchase the Apple brand adapter or is there some "tweeking" I can do to make the Dynex one work? thanks

Audio & video don't match on burned blu-ray

Thanks to everyone on this forum, I was able to solve the blue screen of death issue!
Now a new problem: I successfully burned a blue ray. The menus work well and the picture is great, but the audio is about 20 seconds ahead of the video on all tracks. This problem only occurs on the finished blu-ray disc. In preview, the audio and video match perfectly.
I am using Encore version 6.0.1.13
Does anyone have this issue?

Well, I am at the limit of being able to help, since I only write to DVD
But, if your video is showing as being untranscoded, I would agree that "something" is going wrong while transcoding
If you click on the 622722 link I provided, you "should" be able to figure out how to export out of Premiere Pro to create a file that Encore does not need to transcode
Otherwise, you'll have to wait for someone who uses assets like yours to create a BluRay to come along and, hopefully, point out what you need to change

Apple TV only supports HDMI. It doesn't sound like it is an HDTV, even if you use an adapter there is no guarantee it would work and even then you would not be able to watch HDCP content (i.e. iTunes, Netflix etc).
If the TV is not widescreen and/or doesn't support at least 720P you will also have issues around that.

Audio/video input for quicksilver

Hi, does anyone have recommendations on the best/inexpensive (under $500 if possible) way for me to import audio and video onto a machine that has no audio input jack? I want to be able to capture stuff via rca audio and rca video or rca audio and s-video cables for use with quicktime, imovie and idvd. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Weird audio/video offset/ "ghost copies" - please advise

Hello everyone,
I'm helping a friend - who has no computer - with a video project, which I have assembled and post-produced for him from DV tapes in iMovie 09.
Things seemed to work out fine first, but we now run into increasingly bizarre audio/video offset issues, and I'm out of ideas.
The source material for this film (50 minutes) is circa 400 current video clips, 20 stills and 10 older (1999) material - to which we added circa 50 crossfades, 30 voice-overs and 20 music tracks here and there (which, I guess, makes this a mid-size project). We also slowed down a few clips to adapt timing.
Here is what happens:
Around 40 min. into the project, I have muted the sound from quite a few clips and added a music track and voiceover.
Now when editing and previewing this project within iMovie, everything looks and sounds just fine: The sound from the original clips is muted, and the (music + voiceover) audio tracks play back as they should.
But once I export this movie (be it as a tiny 3GP clip or an iDVD project), these scenes will have a third, unwanted audio track added: the original sound from the clips following circa +one minute later+ in the movie - at full level, which is embarrassing, to put it mildly.
E.g., at 40:00, the original sound from the clip at 41:10 is audible with its full level - although both the clip at 40:00 and the one at 41:10 are muted within the project.
Now I tried everything I could think of.
I muted all the clips manually.
I separated the audio from the dubious clips and muted it again, just to make sure.
I threw out several of the older clips (coming from a VHS tape) used in this project.
The only effect this has is that these weird offsets/ "ghost" copies move around; they won't disappear.
I am out of ideas. So here I have an iMovie project which runs fine in iMovie itself - but once exported to iTunes or a DVD, it spits out additional audio material where it shouldn't. Very frustrating, and I cannot pinpoint the source.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA26567 describes a similar problem, but this is a 2005 article referring to versions of iMovie and OS X long gone - and the fix it suggests (exporting 12 bit audio to an external FireWire camcorder in 16 bit and re-importing it) is not possible anymore with today's iMovie.
I would really appreciate if someone could gave me a hint what is happening here, and how to fix this problem.

I do in fact use such non-standard values for speed.
I will try to reset them and see what it does for the resulting movie.
(And isn't this the kind of bug we wouldn't expect in an Apple product?)

I bought an HP Pavillion Media Center model m8277c and it has front panel input for video, svideo, and audio. Is this connection directly connected to the motherboard? Or is this connection passing through the PCI TV Tuner at the back? I tried to connect a video/audio connection to the front panel, but I don't see/hear audio-video. What program shall I use to enable me to watch an a/v connection to the front panel? Thanks in advance.

Okay Guys,pay attention because here it goes:To get the S-Video and A/V in jacks to engage you have to have the Cyberlink DVD Suite Deluxe to make these work.This is common software on most HP computers that have the A/V jacks and S-Videos jacks on the front and rear of most of the better HPs out there.The Cyberlink DVD Suite has in it the ability to copy CDs,DVDs,make CDs using MP3s WAVs etc.In this DVD Suite is a program called Power Director.This allows you to make you own movies that you can view on your computer saving them to My Movies or that you can burn to a DVD to watch on all types of consumer DVD players,even ones that are installed in Automobiles.How you engage these jacks is by going to the Power Director and open it.Once Power Director is open,go to File,in that select New Untitled Project.On the Lower Right Side Corner you will see a Grey Rectangular Settings Button.Click on that and you will select Analog Video Settings.A new square Pop up window will open up.That allows you to select ViXs Pure TV Capture.Click Capture Source so that you can see Video Composite-01(Front Jack),Video Composite-02(Rear Jack),Video S Video-01(Front Jack),Video S Video-02(Rear Jack) .The Audio Device is underneath that so if you are using the analog jacks from your camcorder or VHS Unit,make sure that you have the RCA jacks Both Left(White) and Right(Red) connected to the A/V jacks.Make SURE that you have all the cables connected BEFORE you open the Power Director so that the program detects them.When the Power Director program is open you will see a Blue Capture Button at the Top Left Side.You will see icons for Capture from DV Device,an icon that looks like a Prosumer Camcorder that says HDV Device,and Capture Video icon that looks like a TV with little Rabbit Ears coming off of it.Capture Video is the one you want.Click on that one then click on the Blue Button at the Top Left.and record your home Camcorder tapes or VHS tapes straight to your computer.I used a Sony Hi8 using the S-Video and a RCA Y cord so that both channels would come through and also used a Sony SLV -N51 using the Stereo Outs and everything worked fine.I hope this helps.Also,if you Don't have the Cyberlink DVD Deluxe Suite already installed in your HP,you can find it online from the popular auction site from $35 to $55.Good Luck.

Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone doesn't just play music?

I just purchased Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone and it plays video, but not music. It only works when I'm using Neflix or the video component of the iPod. How do I get it to just play my music?
If I run the iPod music and open Netflix the music will play, but that is just a roundabout way of getting it to play audio and is silly. How do I get it to just play audio?

don't think so but the component rely on normal analog signals using RCA connectors
you can find tons of 3.5mm minijack connector and 2 rca connectors in the other cables
they are dirt cheap and you can even make them yourself

I am looking for a audio and video call recording solution for CUCM. The requirement is the recording system shall record all audio & video calls including incoming, outgoing, and station-to-station calls. One cirtical requirement is: The users on the CUCM system shall be able to record video calls for video equipped stations with a push of a button on their Cisco IP Desk set or their Cisco soft phone.
Does anyone know the product or third party vendor who supports audio and video recording for CUCM?

Currently Cisco doesn't support video recording with a push of a button on their Cisco IP Desk set or their Cisco soft phone. Also, I have checked with the third party vendors and they only support the video recording using Passive Call recording (port mirroring).

Synching audio/video across AirPlay & other devices

I have a AppleTV-equipped television ("TV") as well as a separate audio system that uses a MacMini as a dedicated processor ("Sound System"). The Sound System has a separate DAC, amplifier, etc. as well as an Airport Express for streaming audio.
My goal: watch Internet content (audio and video) on the TV while also hearing the audio through my Sound System.
My options: (1) use the MacMini to play the audio content directly through the Sound System while at the same time beaming the audio/video from the MacMini to the TV via AirPlay/AppleTV; or (2) use a separate Mac device (e.g. my iPhone, MacBook, etc.) to beam audio/video to the TV via Airplay while at the same time streaming the audio to the Sound System via the Airport Express.
The problem: nothing works, even using a third-party app that allows streaming to multiple devices (e.g. Porthole or Airfoil) because of the audio and visual delays with Airplay/Apple TV. Thus, even using Airfoil to sync the audio between the TV and Sound System (which it was able to achieve), I'm still left with the video being out of sync.
Any good suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Vazandrew, your solution works to send video to my TV and audio to my Sound System (via AirPlay setting on Apple TV), but it does not allow me to play the audio on my Sound System and TV simultaneously, which is what I'd like to do.
