5S Home Button is "Press" Type of "Touch" Type

Is 5S Home Button a mechanical one: you press and it goes in? My iPhone4's home button is not responding 7 out of 10 times after 2yrs, I think this home button will never last long after being pressed so many times. So I wonder if the home button is "touch sensitive" type button like the power button on most Smart TV, thanks.

Thanks Nathan, that's what I thought. I am just afraid that this sill home button on 5S will also become not responding 7 out of 10 times after just 2yrs, and that's frustrating even I know there is the on screen virtual home button I can use but just distracting with a circle dot on the screen all the time, and you have to constantly move it around when you are surfing.

If you are still under warranty, contact Apple to get it serviced. You can also visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider to get it looked at.

I do it the other way around. I press and hold the Power button and then very quickly press and release the Home button.

When I press the home page the screen activates but stays black. I have to press the side button to turn if off then may have to repeat several times to get my phone to come on. Sometimes while using the phone the screen will become pixelly and start to fade away leaving a white screen with vertical line on it. I have to use the close button to make it go away.

If one of the two major buttons of your phone is broken, it is unfair to expect normal operation to be available. The first resolution to any problem involves a usable Home button, as does the second option for resolving any problem. Get your Home button fixed.

I have an annoying problem with my iPod Touch and Nike+. I like the spoken feedback of the Nike+ Application. Thus I press quite often the Home Button while running. Unfortunately, when I do that, a clickable button appears even though the keys are locked. Somehow my leg (or my pants) press the button and as a result pause my workout. Thats really annoying since I have to get the iPod out of the pocket to let the workout resume on the iPod.
So... how can I deactivate that button?
P.S. This button is similar to the ipod controls when you press the Home-Button twice while listing to music during activated key-locks.

Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It might be a good idea to do this while your iPod touch is hooked up to an external power source.

My home button is broken and Accessibility Touch wont respond

So recently I dropped my phone, around 3 feet so not much right? Plus I have an Otter box on. So when it fell My home button broke so i had to turn off the phone and turn it on to get to settings and when I turn Accessibility Touch on i tap on it and it turns from Light gray to dark gray but doesnt open the interface or w/e u call it(The options) it just changes color of the button from light gray to dark gray but all other clicking works on my phone. I cant turn it off by clicking the home button and lock button at the same time considering by home button is messed up :/ Would appreciate any help

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them until the Silver Apple appears (no data will be lost, but it may take up to 20 seconds to reboot and display the Apple, so be patient).
Once the Home screen comes up again, see if things are working a little more like you'd expect them to....

Home button moves on my ipod touch 1st gen

i'm from Romania and i got an iPod touch 1st generation 8gb. i read that if the ipod doesn't compair to factory standard(in which case my home button moves a round) i can take it to get it fixed. i really would like to have it fiex, the warranty status says that its in warranty until 20th october. i did take it to a premium reseller in my town and they told me to try to get a hold of the receipt. i don't have a receipt and was wonderin if therese any chance that apple could email me a copy or something like that, is there any way of doing that, could somebody help me out? thank you

Greetings! I am not certain those who read these are going to know what you really mean by "home button moving around" since the home button is physically set into the iPod...it really cant "move around"... so...could you amplify a little more?

IPhone 5 home button slightly pressed in

My home button works fine, but is slightly pressed in. If you run your fingers over the bottom of the phone you feel the sharp edge of the circle of surrounding glass. I have compared this to other iphone5 phones and the home button is flush with the glass. As far as I remember it has been like this since I got the phone. Is there something I can do to fix this? Should I not be concerned at all?

My home button is working just fine. If you think yours is broken or otherwise not "normal", bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

The Home Button on My iPod Touch Isn't Working

A few weeks ago, my home button on my 4th Generation iPod Touch stopped working. I soon found that I had to press it at a certain part of the button for it to work (by part I mean the left right top and bottom corners). Then for a little while it was fine, but yesterday I had the same problem, and now it's not working at all, and closing all my apps didn't help. What can help my problem?
(if it helps, I do have a habit of pressing the button three times whenever I open it or leave an app, so I may have worn it out somehow)
