5th gen games compatable with classic?

- bought games for my 5th gen ipod
- 5th gen died; exchanged for ipod classic (thanks Best Buy!)
- Old games not compatable anymore!
- Twist: old games are still available on itunes store, and are listed as compatable; not listed as compatable on my itunes
- Is there anyting I can do, or do I need to repurchase the games?

I have one doing that. I suddenly had audio quit. Everything else checked out and works just no audio. Tried everything and by chance I found that if I squeeze lower right hand side of case audio starts. Had a shop check it and found nothing wrong with audio cable but think it may be logic board. Found a forum and it seems that apple is aware of this issue. Here is the link to the forum I am in the process of trying to get mine fixed or replaced. Does anyone know where in itunes to purchase games compatible with Ipod nano 5th gen? I search in the games but they all only seem to be compatible with ipod touch, ipads and such

Unsuccessful 5th gen iTouch update with IOS 8.1.2

Tried to update 5th gen iTouch with OIS 8.1.2 and after downloading and almost completing the iTouch screen froze with white background and Apple logo. iTunes stating cannot access iTouch due to password lock, but cannot access due to frozen screen. Also cannot turn off iTouch to try and reset.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Regular, 5th gen ipod work with mini speakers?

Ok i have a green mini, but i am going to be purchasing a new 5th gen regular ipod. I have the Altec Lansing In Motion speakers for the mini: http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0006ZO2CG.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
but theres the little clasps to attch the mini on them, how can i use these speakers with a 5th gen ipod? is there any converter? anyone have this same problem?

Unfortunately you cannot use your speaker system with your new iPod the same way you used it with your mini. You can, however, use it with a standard 3.5mm audio cable. You won't be able to charge or sync your iPod though.

Brand new ipod touch 5th gen 64gb problems with first power on

I have just received a brand new ipod touch 5th gen 64 gb from amazon. After reading the instructions i tried to power it on but nothing happened.
It was suggested on here to try the recovery start but again, nothing happened.
I then plugged the device in to a wall socket charger to see if the battery is flat,but the apple logo comes on for about 15 seconds then goes off again. If I hold down the home button while the apple logo is off, after a while the ipod goes into recovery start up, but as soon as i unplug it from the wall socket adaptor it turns off.
It will not do anything plugged into the usb soccket of my laptop.
Any ideas or will I have to return this to amazon?

IPad gen 1 compatibility with Airplay?

I purchased Apple TV but don't get mirroring on my iPad gen 1. I asked specifically at the store owhether gen 1 was compatible with airplay and told all would be fine. I since saw a comment here that says iPad 2 and later is required. Is that true? What are my options? I want to stream photos and music.

Yes, you need the iPad 2 or better for AirPlay mirroring, but you can still use the basic AirPlay feature:
Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
