6.22 - How to get conversation under video

How do I get the conversation under the video window when i have a video call in the new Skype version I have been "forced" to download. I don't want the conversation at the right side of the video window, I want it like it was in the old versions of Skype. How? Do I have to uninstall it, and install the older version?

In the new 6.22 version, the conversation panel will always be at the right side of the video window. There is no option availale to change this. If you want the previous stile then you need to revert to the previous 6.21.0.104 version.
Uninstall the currently installed version and install the 6.21.0.104 version:

How do get a 3GB video on youtube with the best quality?

I'd like to upload my 8 min, 3GB, 960x720 movie from FCP 7 to youtube. I tried Quicktime Conversion format (mpeg4, h264, etc) but it always squahes the image to 4:3. If I output directly to Quicktime Movie the ratio is correct but then it's too big to load to Youtube.
I'm not too terribly bright and have been struggling with this for a while. I've seen some great looking video on youtube but can't figure out how to get my videos to look half way decent.

Try this: Export as QT Movie. Open Compressor. File>New Batch from Template; Choose your 8 min movie as source: choose the You Tube preset. Publish.

How o get nusic and video to play on same playlist

I was wondering if there is a way to get music and either music videos or movies to play in the same play list. I can get the audio of the music videos to play with the music, but not the actual video, any suggestion? Thanks.

All you have to do is, make normal playlists (the same way you normally would) including your music and the video you want in the lists with the music. Then when you go to use your ipod, instead of choosing music, instead choose the video and section - and any playlists that have video included with them will show up under video>video playlists. If there is no video included in the play list however, it wont show up under the video section.

There's an interface method (in javax.sql.DataSource)
setLogWriter(PrintWriter log)
which I have to implement, and which supplies me an output channel for log messages.
I want to use java.utils.logging to output to this log.
The nearest thing I got is
java.util.logging.Logger logger = Logger.getAnonymousLogger(); // or any other method

streamHandler.setOutputStream ( os ); // supply an existing java.io.OutputStream
logger.addHandler(streamHandler);My problem:

- if the previous answer is "no, there no easier way, and that's the way to go", any recommendations on how to ?

Well, since you want to write to a PrintWriter and not an OutputStream, it's kind of like breaking the contract for that class (since it says "LogRecords are published to a given java.io.OutputStream").
But that shouldn't be a big problem. You'd end up making a few of the methods no-ops (like the setOutputStream and setEncoding) and add your setPrintWriter (or maybe setWriter) method to get the functionality you want.

if you purchased them from iTunes, the terms of service indicate that you can only download the files once, and urges you to make a backup of your music.. if you don't have a backup, you will either have to re-purchase them, or rip them from CDs, etc

How to get audio and video in one file

hi...I am "premiere beginner user" and I have a simple question , I think..:)...Every time when I am trying to export media out from my premiere (using media encoder) I get video file and some audio files, but what I need is only ONE file, that contains both (audio and video)..for example , I have edited film in hd quality and I want it to export, I choose h.264 format(make some settings,pal,audio quality...) and when it´s "all done", only "result" I get is one video file and two audio files and they are not together :).....so please help mme anyone..ok and as you can see I am not from english speaking country, so sorry for my english...thanks for help....

There is no indication that something is out-of-sync or the ability to move/slip into sync like in FCE/FCP.
To the best of my knowledge, using match frame and overwriting the video with video+audio (or attaching it as a connected clip if you don't want to overwrite the video, which might have effects applied) is the best way to do this.
You can use the blade tool first in the timeline to get just the section you want to get back into sync. Make cuts so that you have a single clip that needs the audio resynced, select it, and use shift-F to select the original synced clip in the Event Browser. Make sure your play head is at the beginning of this video clip in the timeline. Press option-2, then 'q', and now you have the audio back in your timeline, synced with the video. Delete the old, no-longer-synced audio and you should be set.

How to get an embbedded video to stop playing?

Hi Guys
I have an embedded video in my animation , in an earlier state on my timeline I have a back button.
When the back button is pressed teh animaiton returns to this state but the video still plays in the backround.
The video cant be seen as its only appears at a later stage on the time line but the audio can still clearly be heard.
Any ideas on how I might get it to stop?

The following is my problem:
I need to get an image under JDK1.1.
What I want to do is get a graphics-object from
it and draw some stuff onto it. Afterwards I want
to save it to some file (gif, png). The latter part is
no problem. But I couldn't find a concrete subclass
under JDK1.1. I know of BufferedImage in JDK1.2
but that doesn't help too much since I'm restricted
to JDK1.1.

How to get photos and videos of an old icloud backup?

Hello,
I had an ipod full of pictures and videos which was backed up onto icloud. I sold my ipod a few weeks ago and i stupidly i forgot to take off my photos and videos before resetting it. Now i have lost all of them. On my iphone, in settings > icloud, it says i still have the ipod backup stored on icloud.
Is there a way of getting the images off icloud onto my mac or anything at all? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You can do a restore to another ipod, but not to the mac. However, be aware that countless users have discovered that their restores from a backup that supposedly contained the camera roll did not sync the photos back to the device. Unless you have been syncing photos from the ipod to a computer, as is suggested for storing photos (be sure to do that with your iphone), you have no guarrantees that photos will be safely stored on icloud.

For my mobile phone I bought an external card reader. So I can copy the files from mobile phone to computer and backwards.
It costs maybe 10 Euro and therefore no additional driver is necessary! :)

How to get HD iMovie video created on iPhone to iMac?

I'm a Final Cut Pro user. I create over 100 videos a year in Final Cut (the majority Wedding Videos and TV commercials). I've never used iMovie. After seeing the recent Apple holiday add, where some kid appears to be on his iPhone disinterested in Christmas with the family, but at the end of the day, unveils this amazing home video he created on the phone... I wanted to do the same thing (cheers, Apple marketing). Turns out, it worked great. I downloaded iMovie after creating all my clips all day and pretty easily created a simple highlight video with music and some fades here and there.
Problem is, at 12 minutes long (give or take a few seconds), it won't upload to Youtube or Vimeo in HD. Even though I have a 5GB upload limit on Vimeo. It won't even save to my phone. Not enough space apparently. So I figured I'd just plug the phone into my computer and, like all things mac, it would magically just transfer to iMovie on my iMac that has over 1TB of free space. Alas, no dice.
I settled to upload it as a TERRIBLE resolution to Youtube... but I'd like to save my creation in HD. I don't care where. I just want to save it in HD. I hope I'm just having a blonde moment and am simply missing somthing here. Surely, if the phone is plugged into my iMac, shouldn't there be a way to save the video in 1080p to my computer?
At that point, I'd like to erase the raw video files from my phone to conserve space.
Any advice or help here would be appreciated.

Was puzled my self, but figgured something out. Like to share it:
1. iMovie on iPhone (ios 5 and later) isn't compatible with iMovie 09 and 10 on the Mac (I gues not with iMovie08 either but I don't have that running anymore). So even if you share your file thru iTunes you end up with a file you cannot use.
2. What works for me: from iMovie on your iPhone share your projecty as a file. Choose the setting you like (720P, 1080P or another option).
3. After you have done that, (your project is visible in the filmroll in iPhoto on the iPhone ), connect your iPhone to your Mac. Start iMovie on the Mac , choose import and your iPhone shows up as a camera, with the clips you've shot including the project you made. Import the project.
The project will be sown as one clip (so not the individual sourceclip titles etc., so If you want to edit you need to cut and edit and whatever you want to do with it. and of course share it with Vimeo or something else.

I need the exact same file with no compression back into camera roll. It was a video that I recorded with my iPhone 4s and accidentally deleted after backing it up to my iMac. I don't want the file to be compressed. I want the original back into Camera Roll. I am using Mountain Lion with everything updated. Even my iPhone has the most up to date iOS.
P.S. Let me make it clear that I do not want the videos to go into the videos app. I NEED it in Camera Roll. Thank you so much for your help.

The only way to do this is to restore your phone from a backup that contains the deleted video.

How to get a Matroska Video File file into I Movie or Quicktime

I've arrived here via HandBrake. It has two output options - MP4 and Mkv. I chose the Mkv since my destination is an .mov file I can insert into Powerpoint - if that makes sense.

What does "I've arrived here" mean? Where did you begin and where are you now? In other words, what is the original video file (format, such as filename.MOV or filename.MPG)? Did you use Handbrake because the original was not useful? What is the playing software that you want to use with this video file? What is the version of iMovie? What is the version of QuickTime (7 or X)?
Without knowing any of this, I can only say my QuickTime 7, QuickTime X, and iMovie '11 all play MKV files after installing Perian.
