6 beeps and 6 flashes from LED after graphics card is in and no signal to monitor

I am having problem with my computer booting after installing my gpu. It has worked before with this setup and now its beeping all of a sudden. Sometimes it would boot up fine and most the time it wouldn't boot up at all. So I would leave my pc on sleep and never shut it off. But now it won't boot up with the card at all. I updated my BIOS and unseated the card and ut it back in and nothing. I don't know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi: See if following the instructions from the link below gets your video card to work... Normally that happens because legacy mode is disabled and secure boot is enabled in the BIOS. This will only work if your PC has onboard graphics so you can see the display in order to change the settings after you remove the video card. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653200

  • How do I remove an old version of Flash from addons after updating?

I recently updated from Firefox 5.0 after a long period of not-updating to Firefox 22.0, and immediately had to update Flash (which I also hadn't updated in awhile as in FF5.0 updating past 11.2.202.235 borked Youtube). However, now I have two different listings in the Add-ons Manager for Flash, one for 11.8.800.94 and another, flagged as 'Shockwave Flash is known to be vulnerable and should be updated', for 11.2.202.235. I tried manually disabling it, but the next time I opened Firefox they were both disabled. Also, I'm having issues with Youtube videos stuttering and chugging (although, oddly, with no apparent drops in framerate) in Firefox after updating, that don't happen in Chrome, and I'm wondering if somehow thiis might be the cause?
So I was wondering, is there a way to remove the 'old' Flash from Firefox? I already checked add/remove programs and there is only one Flash 11 there, at the date it was updated.

Yes this is caused by a flash install problem, try removing it from the control panel (Both) and try again.

  • Glitches after graphics card upgrade

After an unfortunate but brief fire in my GeForce GTX 570 graphics card, I was forced to upgrade to a GTX 660, which seems to have caused some odd issues with Firefox.
After the computer has been sleeping, the scroll button icon no longer functions (I can use the feature, but the icon doesn't show up), and typically another graphical issue will occur, such as the close buttons and top bar completely disappearing, or the tabs becoming completely transparent.
I've tried reinstalling Firefox twice, as well as resetting. I don't think that anything else was damaged in the fire, as the hard drives are separated from the rest of the components, and it does work. No other programs have these sort of issues.

That seems to have fixed the scroll button problem, and three times after I logged back in everything worked, but this last time, the scroll button worked but the close/minimize/maximize buttons were gone and the top bar was missing, the tabs were still there, but those were gone.
My graphics drivers are up to date, and no other programs seem to suffer from this issues.
If it's worth noting, the time it didn't work was after the computer had automatically gone to sleep, and Firefox was open on the screen. When it's worked, I've put the computer to sleep, and Firefox was minimized.

  • Fan noise after graphic card changed - Qosmio F10-101

Two months ago i have had my graphic card changed from nvidia fx 5700 to nvidia geforce go 6600.
from my laptop toshiba qosmio f10-101. After changing the old graphic card there is a fan noise that starts and stops every 2 minutes , that it drives me crazy every time i'm hear it.
Can somebody tell me if this noise is natural and if he/she knows if the specific card is noisy in every laptop? or If there are any ways to disappear this noise or increase in the maximum speed the noise.??

  • Sound no longer working after graphics card installation

    Okay, so my problem is:
I recently added a graphics card to my windows 8.1 PC. The card itself works fine (a GTX 750Ti), but since installing it my sound no longer works from either port. Things I have already tried:
    Rebooting (obviously)
Taking the card out and then replacing it
Going through all the control panel audio settings (more on this later)
Disabling the HDMI audio on the card
Trying different (provably working) speakers and headphones
Updating/installing drivers (not that you need them for headphones)
The "playback devices" screen declared that nothing whatsoever is plugged in (it is). I'm concerned I might have damaged something during installation, but nothing seems obviously damaged, and I would have expected static to either do no damage
or wipe out the entire motherboard. The back port is working, so it isn't the cable. My monitor output is HDMI (with no speakers on the monitor), if that makes any difference.
    Penny for anyone's thoughts?

The back port is working, so it isn't the cable.
I’m confused as to what this means. If you have audio via the ports on the back of the computer but not in front ports you may have damaged the front audio cable or connection on the motherboard
or at the front ports. Find the HD Audio (or AC’97) port on your motherboard and verify that the cable is connected and intact, then follow this cable forward to your front audio ports. If you stressed this cable by tugging or pushing, it could have damaged
the connection to the front ports. Sometimes these ports are connected by a header like the motherboard and this connection could have come loose.

  • Repeated error from Intel integrated Graphics card in my brand-new B320

    Hi
I am getting repeated errors from the Intel Integrated Graphics card (on the Intel i3 chip as I understand it) in my brand-new B320.
I checked via a tool from Intel that my drivers were up-to-date (version 15.22.1.2361).
I checked via Device Manager Update Drivers that my driver was up-to-date.
I attempted to uninstall and re-install my driver BUT the uninstall reverted me to a VGA Adapter (so my screen was then running in a low res 800x600 mode!) and I could not even then see the Intel Integrated Graphics card in Device Manager to be able to re-install the driver against (even if I ran scan for new hardware): I had to restore to a System Restore Point - so the problem has of course come back.
I have even had one error where the screen then went completely blank and nothing would bring it back: I had to power off the PC (Ouch!)
PLEASE advise how I rectify this incredibly frustrating problem step-by-step.

    hey johnestlea,
i was going through the download list of the B320 here : http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=156819
And could not find any driver with the version 15.22.1.2361 for the Intel Integrated Graphic Card. Where did you get that version ?

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the graphics card.
So a few weeks ago, my NVIDIA video card was damaged. Short-circuited or something, but there's a burn mark over one of the modules and it was preventing my computer from turning on. It had to be taken out or replaced, and because I didn't want to spend the money replacing it, I opted to remove it and just use my integrated graphics card in my laptop.
However, now the fans in my laptop are running at full speed all the time, regardless of CPU/GPU temperature. I've searched over several forums for a solution, and I've looked into several different programs, including MSi Afterburner, NVIDIA GeForce Experience, SpeedFan, Riva Tuner, and RWEverything, but to no avail. Most of them require a video card in order to control the fan speeds, but since I don't have one in my computer, I can't change anything. I've also looked into the BIOS, but it doesn't appear to have any fan controls.
I'm pretty sure the fans are running at full speed because they can't get temperature data from the (missing) card.
    Laptop:
    - MSi GT60 0NE
    - (Had a) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M
    - Integrated Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000
    - Running Windows 8
Any help would be appreciated, and I can provide more info if needed! Thanks!
Have you checked if your bios have a graphics switch or w.e it's called where you can switch from Nvidia to UMA GPU = Intel gpu ? if your laptop dont have that then nvm about it

  • Photoshop CS6 running extremely slow after graphics card switch

My old graphics card died (a evga 8800 Ultra Superclocked 756MB 384 bit), so I replaced it with a (XFX HD-455X-ZAFR Radeon HD 4550 1GB 64-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 ).  I knew this was a less capable card but from reading other forums it seemed that GPU performance was not as big of an issue in Photoshop and the 4550 was a supported card by Photoshop.  However, I was previously able to batch open about 15 (ish) photos at a time to work on in Photoshop.  Now if I open more than 1 everything is VERY slow and even that 1 doesn't open as fast.  Bigger photos appear blurry (but when I zoom in they are not) many filters are slower.  Very annoying.  Nothing else has changed on my computer, just the graphics card.  Here are my specs (I know I need more RAM and have been considering an upgrade there but am not sure if I need to ditch my current video card as well)
    Asustek p5e3 motherboard
Core 2 extreme qx9650 (quad core at 3.0 ghz)
    4 GB of DDR3 1333mhz ram
    (3) 500 GB 7200RPM hard drives
    Radeon HD 4550 1GB 64-bit DDR2
    500 Watt Power Supply

I don't mean to be critical, but why would you upgrade to an outdated card like the 4550?  The 4000-series isn't even listed under the cards Photoshop is tested with any more.
Tested video cards for Photoshop CC and CC 2014
That said, a problem that can happen with a video card switch is that drivers get left in the system from the old one.
Maybe it would be a good start in diagnosing this for you go to into the Help - System Info menu, copy the data in the whole first section, and post it here.

  • Very Buggy Flash 10.2 - different Graphic Cards

    Hi...
Flash Player 10.2 seems to be very "buggy".
    My system:
Win Vista 32Bit Home Premium, all updates
Firefox 3.6.13 with the actuall Flash 10.2...
    I have two GPUs (Hybrid)
    - onboard Intel Media Accelerator, Intel Mobile Family 4 --> Flash 10.2 do not work!!
Some videos are showing only a black area or a not moving picture... mostly you can hear the sound.
and an extra decidedly graphic card (GPU)
-nVidia GeForce 9600M GT --> and there Flash 10.2 works!
Now if have loaded and installed the old Flash 10.1, latest version.....
    ... and all works fine!
So, now I will wait for an bug release.
    update:
The problem is not more less with FF 3.6.15!
... and i have the same problem with IE8 on the same computer
At first with 10.2.152.26 and now branch 10.2.152.32.... it's all the same

Do you have the latest device drivers installed for your video card?
Did you try to disable Hardware Acceleration?

  • Premiere and After effects no longer work after graphics card upgrade

So heres my problem. A week ago my gtx 295 died. So I got a new gtx 780 and new ram. After installing my new card and installing the latest drivers premier and after effects cs6 crash on the splash screen. Whats wierd is these are the only programs that crash. After effects cs4 works fine along with all my maya stuff. I reinstalled premier and it still crashes for some reason.
I'm running vista ultimate 64bit with the cs6 production suite. I do have some plugins on after effects including the trapcode suite amd optical flares.
    Any tips?

The only thing I can think of is that Windows Vista is not one of the supported operating systems for Premiere Pro CS6. Only Windows 7 is listed. Is it possible to upgrade your OS?

  • [Solved] Gnome 3 goes into fallback mode after graphics card upgrade

    Hello,
I have been using Arch with an AMD Radeon HD 4670 and open source drivers for the past couple of months together with Cinnamon, everything was working well. Recently I have upgraded to an AMD Radeon HD7750 which is not supported by the open source drivers, I have removed the open source drivers and installed the catalyst-total package from the AUR. After doing so Cinnamon failed to start and gave me an error, I have decided to try Gnome 3 and it just goes into fall back mode which I assume Cinnamon cannot work with.
XFCE however works. There is one small issue with it though, the left and right borders of windows are missing (borders of context menus are missing too). Other than that it seems fine however.
What is the problem? Is Gnome 3 support for Catalyst just simply very bad? or have I installed something incorrectly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
EDIT: Catalyst 12.9 recently came out and a corresponding catalyst-total package was released, intially it broke my X install but after re-running aticonfig --initial it worked fine. I have uncovered an option in the Catalayst Control Centre which lets me use two screens without Xinerama, doing the following: Display Manager -> Multi-display -> Multi-display desktop with display(s) 1, allows me to use compositing and my two screens, and I am still able to drag windows between the screens. After I have saved these new settings I have reloaded Cinnamon and it worked perfectly.

My Exit button for Firefox is about half normal, can still see the Min/Max and other half of the Exit button, but it seems shaded.
