6 different RPD's as there are 6 different Clients

Hi,
Currently we are combining all the clients into one RPD and managing securities between them. It is getting to be a little tricky, and we are planning to migrate to a new environment. If we have to provide one RPD for each client, does that mean we have to have 6 different servers? What are the easy ways to implement it?

One presentation service can point only One RPD..
so to consolidate 6 RPD in single BI server, create 6 presentation services one for each RPD. But I think this approach is not supported by Oracle & should not be an option in Production system.

De-duplication in MDM but there are transactions in client systems

Hi every one,
I have a question about removal of any duplicate record in the MDM consolidated from any system. Let suppose if there are several transactions are purformed using that duplicate master record. What if that master record has been deleted in de-duplication in the MDM. How do you change that master data used in transactions to a orignal and master copy.
For example there are parent-child relationship. Master data can not be deleted if there are transaction available.
If you know to deal with this scenario then please share with me as well.

Hi Naeem,
Firstly, MDM does not delete any duplicate records identified by the SAP-MDM system being fully aware that there may be open transactions on these master records which will have a direct impact if deleted.
When MDM identifies Duplicate master records across systems it merges them in MDM.Merging does not delete the original records in MDM but saves them as one merged record in the Key mapping.
The original records local key is still maintained on which existing transaction can continue to run.
The point here is these identified duplicates by MDM system can be informed to the transaction system team and futher transactions can be stopped on those duplicate master
Also we can then gradually move to the CMDM phase where once the duplicate masters are identified the new masters creation can be done centrally through MDM.
These are the Major actions that can be taken after duplicate finding using SAP-MDM.

HT1386 when i try to sync, each device i sync to ends up with different amount of information, for instance in iTunes, i have my eric claption collection which has 34 albums. but when i sync to my i phone, there are only 26 albums, same with my touch, on

When I sync my I tune music library to my other devices, none of the other devices end up with the same amount of music. For instance, in my itunes library on my mac, i have 34 complete albums. When I sync to my iphone only 26 albums come over (it is not a memory issue, i have 25 gb of free space on my iphone), on my touch, again syncing with changing anysetting, i only getr 26 albums, but not the same 26 albums that i get with my iphone, again no memory issue. When I sync my ipad mini, my clapton collection tells me I have 48 albums with 340 songs, agin on my mac I only have 34 albums with 421 songs, agan, no setting changed between syncs. on My Ipad tablet, my clapton library shows 340 songs with 57 albums. By the way if I go into my clapton library and count manually how many albums are on my ipad there are only 25.
Tech suppoert has been worthless, they keep haveing me do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Pure insanityl

Are all these songs associated with the same Apple ID or were some purchased on another account?
Are they tagged properly? In the library does it break an album out into several different albums with a few tracks each?
Check your sync settings for each device. Do you accidentally have only certain songs/albums syncing?

Can you use home share where there are 2 itunes on the same computer but under different user profiles?

Yes:
Step 1: Delete the preview cache.
That's it!
So, the trick is to find the preview cache.

To be clear: it's a folder in with your catalog and you want to delete the whole folder but nothing else.
If your catalog file path is "X:\My Catalogs\My Catalog.lrcat", then the preview cache "folder" will be:
X:\My Catalogs\My Catalog Previews.lrdata
So the trick is to find your catalog file, and since Lr won't open your catalog and run, you can't use it to find out.
But you should be able to find it by searching your disks for *.lrcat files - do you know how to do that?

If you know the name of the catalog it will help, but also: it's probably NOT in with your program files.
UPDATE: The above-mentioned document gives default name and location for preview cache, so if you haven't overridden the default, it should be right where that document said it would be - is it? (of course you need to know your user name too, but presumably you do, no?).

I would like to transfer old reel-to-reel tapes to an iMac. There are different recordings on the left and right channel of the tapes. When I connect the tape deck to the Mac, I get one recording on the left, the other on the right speaker. What to do?

I was about to transfer some music from a reel-to-reel machione to my Mac. There are different sound recordings on the left and right channels. When I connect with RCA cables and Y-connector, I hear one recording from the left speaker, another from the right side. How do I record only one side, but hear it from both speakers?

You don't say what end, or connectors are plugged into what. I'm assuming the RCA connectors are on the reel-to-reel end. Since the tape has two different mono recordings, one on each track, you of course only want one at a time during playback. Otherwise, the Mac (or any recording setup) can only treat it as a stereo recording with the standard Left-Right tracks.
1) There are multiple ways to connect different types of cables to get a mono signal down to a stereo output at the Mac. Here's one way.
2) Plug any RCA cable (single cable or stereo) into only the right or left RCA output of the reel-to-reel.
3) On the other end of the RCA cable, plug in an adapter like this. That will feed the single RCA output into a mono 1/8" plug.
4) Then plug that adapter into this. That turns the 1/8" mono signal into a "stereo" output with the same single track audio being fed to the Mac on both the left and right channels.
5) Record either the left or right output of the reel-to-reel. Rewind the tape and switch the RCA connector on the reel-to-reel to the right channel (if you started with the left) and record that mono signal as stereo.
Or, avoid all of this hardware mumbo-jumbo in the first place and do this:
1) Record the audio just the way you have it. Two different recordings, one on each channel.
2) Copy the audio recording to a new name and open it in your editor.
3) Highlight the left track and copy/paste it into the right track. Presto! Mono recording of the left track on both channels. Save the recording.
4) Repeat, only copy/pasting the right track into the left track and save the second recording.

There are 6 to 8 different iPhone 3G Models

I was over at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 and I noticed that there are several different part numbers for the iPhone.
There should be at least 3 different part numbers (8GB Black, 16GB Black and 16GB White). But why are there so many in under the US and Canada? All the other countries have 3, except for the US and Canada?
Any suggestions? Which one is the latest one?

I bought 2 iphones; one for my girlfriend one for myself. Both were MB499LL/A . Mine works flawlessly except for the application lag issues however my girlfriends got the apple logo of death (where it get stuck on the apple logo and there isn't anything u can do).. So I returned hers to the store and got a new iphone which happened to have the same MB499LL/A part number; her new iphone has no problems. I had them update hers to 2.0.2 in the store to be safe (with no problems). So, just because you have a certain part number doesn't guarantee failure.
I work in I.T. so I have some experience diagnosing problems. In my humble opinion I believe there are 2 issues that could be causing all these problems.
1) A hardware issue created during putting together manufactured parts (the parts all work fine). i.e One of the parameters during part placement is incorrect creating a malfunction. So the theory floating around of an immature chip set is bogus (especially since most iphones work). If it was a chip problem all iphones would have problems which is not the case (according to Apple only 2% have issues).
2) A software problem: If I had to point fingers it would be at the Apple Application Store and/or 3rd party apps. In which case we will be fine. Bugs will be found, updates will be made... All will be good.
This is all just my opinion based on my own experiences.

Had a similar problem with two tracks from a cd being segregated in a separate list, but with the same album title and artwork as the other 19 tracks. I found that by double clicking the artist field next to the album icon you can then edit that info. In your case it sounds as if you might want to erase the artist info altogether. Once you have done that, all the tracks magically group together, as they should have done in the first place. Oh there might be a dialog box first, asking if you really want to do this.

There are about 8 songs on a playlist that are listed in the playlist library but when I try to transfer them to the playlist, it states that they can't be transferred because the original file could not be found. Then it asks, do you want to locate the file but when I try that I get a few libraries but am not sure how to locate the particular songs. Some of the songs were purchased and some were transferred from a CD. I have seen the same question asked on the help page but haven't found an answer.

It sounds like your issue here is that iTunes can not find the files for some of the songs you have brought into it. This happens occasionally even if the songs have not been moved from the location that iTunes places them on import or purchase. When you try to use the song, iTunes prompts you to find the file, as you have seen.
To find the file, use the information in this article to navigate through the iTunes media folders -

If you are still unable to locate the files, you may need to download them from the iTunes store again, or rip them from your CDs. See this article for assistance with downloading your past purchases -

How can I get itunes to play one album from start to finish, especially when there are different artists on it?

How can I get itunes just to play albums from beginning to end? Often if an artist has a guest artist, or there are 'various artists' on the album, it stores them all separately, so listening from beginning to end becomes not one click away, but a multitude of clicks away just to make a play list which returns the album to its original state. Why can't Apple do this as a default?

I have firefox on 2 computers and there are different bookmarks on the 2 computers. If I sync them, will I have on set of bookmarks that includes both?

I have 2 Macs, a Mac pro tower and a Macbook pro. Since I use both computers, I have 2 sets of bookmarks with some overlap between the two. I would like to sync them so that I can access bookmarks that I created on one computer on the other one. The question is, if I perform a sync, will the two sets become a single set including all the bookmarks on both machines or will I end up erasing one of the sets? Also, if I have the same bookmark on both machines, will I end up with redundant bookmarks? Thanks for your help.

Ideally the bookmarks will merge, however if there are duplicates on either machines, I do not know where these bookmarks will sync to, I have not tested this yet.

You can double-click in the (empty) name field or press the Down arrow to open the drop down list and select the name or type the first letters of the name if there are multiple names saved.
