6 Plus: Screen rotation for pre-installed apps
Having a bit of an argument on this one with the fiance, so some input would be greatly appreciated:
With the Phone app on the iPhone 6 Plus, is the screen supposed to rotate or not? My fiance called Apple Support and was told that it was supposed to. However, I chatted with Apple Support several hours later and was told that some apps on the 6 Plus, including the phone app, do not rotate.
So which one is it? Personally, I'm satisfied with the answer that I got, but the fiance isn't since she was told otherwise by a different Apple Support person.
Thanks.
I've also experienced this same problem using snapseed. It's really frustrating to use the app.

IPhone 5, Is there a way to stop screen rotation for specific apps?
The automatic screen rotation feature is useful - sometimes, and just plain annoying other times. I prefer to read my e-mail in portrait mode, however the slightest movement or rotation while doing so will cause the screen to rotate (with the phone generally still in portrait position). I then have to shake the phone to get it to rotate back. This is very annoying.
I would like to be able to lock the screen rotation for only a single app (e.g. mail) while still keeping it active for the camera, or videos. Many of the book programs that I use, have this feature built-in, however this question is for apps that do not have this built-in.
The built in rotation lock is all-or-nothing, and is generally a pain to use. It adds another step to just about everything I do (If I read mail, then want to view a video, I have to go back and unlock it).
Is there a way to lock the screen rotation for a specific app?I would have expected this function to be available in settings where the application specific settings are located. (At least for the major applications like e-mail).

How to hide pre-installed apps on iPhone 5s that aren't in use?
I'd like to remove or hide pre-installed apps that I don't use on my iPhone (also iPad). For example, I NEVER use the "Stocks"; "Game Center"; "Newstand" or "Weather" apps. It's pretty annoying that the apps are there taking up screen space (yes, I'm a tad bit OCD'ish). Is it possible to hide or remove the pre-installed apps? Thank you!
No. You can group them into a folder and/or move them to another page of the home screen.

How do I delete pre-installed apps?
I do not have a lot of space on my phone and it takes up space so i have to delete other apps in order for updates and have little room for other apps I want. My school also took off some of the pre-installed apps on ipads given to the school and I don't think they would jail break all 600+ I-pads especially being as I go to a public school.
Thanks dumpystig, but that menu sequence will only allow to delete purchased apps and a limited number of Pre-installed discretionary apps such as Accu Weather. It, for example, does not allow to delete the Calendar app - nor does it make available the 'pocket news' app which is the one I want to get rid off. The phone is running PR1.2 and was purchased, unlocked, from a Nokia shop. Thanks

How to update pre-installed apps in macbook pro?
I bought a macbook pro last middle of Oct-2014. It uses Maverick OS and has pre-installed apps like iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand. Then the new OS Yosemite came. I updated my OS. Then I receive notice of updates for the said pre-installed apps. When I used to log-in my apple ID to installed the updates, App Store message that these apps were purchased using different account. How can I install the update? Do I need to bring my macbook to Apple to install the updates?
Contact Apple store support before going to the Apple Store.

How much space do you get on a ipad air 16gb considering the pre-installed apps? Can any of those be removed to free up space?
With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.
For a 16 GB device that is 2.4 - 3.2 GB free. So 13 minus 3= 10 GB of storage for music, photos, movies and documents. -
Texting - Screen rotation for easier typing
So....i have a bit of a problem texting with my iPhone...always have and im fairly sure, unless my fingers shrink, that i will always will. My question is, will a new update, perhaps 2.0 allow for a screen rotation for texting, as it does with web browsing? I think this would be a great help....
Any clues? And if not, think its possible to provide feedback and force them to do it????
-phIf Apple doesn't provide it -- why they don't boggles the mind -- I'm sure there will be an early app at the app store allowing you to go wide-screen for emails. Seems like a no-brainer to me!

A1347.. MD388LL/A Mac mini pre-installed apps lost..?
Did my A1347.. MD388LL/A Mac mini (srl # C07L83VPDWYM, November 2013) come with the numbers app? I think the when I copied my previous mini's setup onto the new mini, I lost all of the newer pre-installed apps... and it didn't come with a backup system's disk... Is there a way to re-accuire those originally supplied apps, without having to buy them again?
I had been using Mavericks on my old mini, and the new one wasn't running that version of OS X, so I restored from my backup to get back where I had been before the old mini died and I bought the newer mini... I didn't miss anything until I was going to help a friend, and they were asking questions about the pre-installed Apple apps... Numbers specifically... and I realized that I most likely had had this apps on my new machine, and had blown them all away when I restored the new mini to what the old mini had been running.... It's not the end of the world... I just got to thinking that there might be an Apple archive somewhere that would act like resource for repairing messed up apps supplied on new machines... In the old days.... you'd have received a disk along with the new computer to do that soft of thing.... No??

Pre Installed Apps on Droid Maxx
I currently use a Droid 2. One of the issues I face is a number of pre-installed apps which I don't want, yet keep sending me alerts a few times per week looking to update them. Of course, to update them, I must sign up for services that I don't want or need.
I would like to upgrade to the Droid Maxx. However, since this issue is really bugging me, I think it would be fair to ask what apps come pre-installed on the phone. And among those apps, which cannot be deleted if I wish to? Can someone tell me which apps are pre-installed yet cannot be deleted? Especially those that will continually bother me about adding unwanted services?
I figure that if I am going to upgrade, it be to a phone that doesn't nag me all the time.
BryanThe MAXX came with many pre-installed apps, but not the ones you have mentioned. Cloud is on mine, but I never use it, and it's never bothered me to do anything with it. The pre-installed apps on the MAXX are:
1. Amazon.com
2. Amazon Kindle
3. Amazon MP3
4. Amazon Apps
5. Motorola Assist
6. Audible
7. Calculator
8. Calendar
9. Caller Name and ID (useless app which you can opt out of)
10. Camera
11. Chrome
12. Clock
13. Double Twist (media player)
14. Downloads
15. Email
16. Emergency Alerts
17. G+ Photos
18. Gallery
19. Google

24. IMDb
25. Ingress
26. Local
27. Google Maps

31. Movie Studio
32. My Verizon Mobile
33. Navigation
34. NFL Mobile
35. People
36. Phone
37. Play Books
38. Play Magazines
39. Play Movies & TV
40. Play Music (you get All Access free for 6 months for buying a phone from the new Droid lineup)
41. Play Store
42. Setup Wizard
43. Google Translate
44. Verizon Tones
45. Viewdini
46. Voice Search
47. Voicemail
48. VZ Navigator
49. VZ Security
50. YouTube
Out of these 50 pre-installed apps, not one has bugged me yet. You can always "Disable" pre-installed apps by going to Settings / Apps / (choose app) / Disable.
Better than that, if you want to keep the app, but never be updated, Go to Settings / Active Notifications / Manage Notification Types. You can manually select which apps you would like to notify you, and which ones you would rather just sit there and look pretty. You can also hide notification details when using PIN or password lock. You can also select to have the phone sleep at night (silence notifications) so nothing will bother you while you sleep.
If you're worried about your location access, you're kinda out of luck in today's world. All smartphones are GPS-equipped. If you are downloading an app which requires "Full Network Access", decide whether or not this app really DOES need full network access. Say it's Weatherbug, for instance...Weatherbug's developers are trustworthy, and the app uses your location information to give you accurate weather forecasts. Now say you're downloading an app that provides wallpapers. This type of app seriously doesn't need full network access to function, so it would be up to you at that point whether or not you trust the developer.
Hope this helped! -
Can the new pre installed apps in iPad 2. Like garage band, iMovie be sync back to i tune, and then sync these new apps from ipad2 to the old iPad 1?
GB and iMovie pre installed?
http://www.apple.com/ipad/built-in-apps/
Click: Browser All Built In Apps
iMovie and GB must be purchased.
If you have installed GB and iMovie on the iPad 1 and synced using iTunes, just sync the those apps to the newer iPad with iTunes. No re purchase necessary with the same iTunes account. -

EDGE Not Working Properly - iPhone Forced To Find It
This is weird. Normally I've got the "E" registered on the top of my screen and all is well when I'm not in WiFi range. After my first charge of a replacement iPhone (the other one was all kinds of whacko), the "E" no longer shows up unless I use an
