60 Gb, Error 48, failed sync.
When I plug in my iPod it launches iTunes but refuses to sync the music. I get an error 48 pop up 3 or 4 times and it syncs my contacts but leaves music untouched (Doesn't update playcounts or add new music that I've added to iTunes.
I have had this before but the fix was always to quit iTunes, run disk Utility on the iPod and relaunch iPod. This now doesn't work. All the music on iPod remains intact but I get a message saying it's linked to another iTunes library. I have it set to upload selected playlists but this has now become unselected.
Any ideas
i have the error 2 and nothin ive done has helped i hit the restore and that seemed to make it even worse by takin all my songs off

I get an error message that sync failed to start
When I try to sync my Ipod Touch it shows that it is waiting to sync but then I get an error message that sync failed to start. I have tried restore and re starting my computer but I still get the same message, what is going on and how do I fix it? Please help!
Quit iTunes, restart your computer, restart your iPad and try again. If it doesn't work with a restart of the iPad, try a reset of the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Unable to sync calendar data between Z10 and Outlook 2013. Deselected contacts and only trying calendar. I moved the amount of dates 6months to 30 days.
Using all current Office and Bb software. Error of "Failed to commit changes to device."This has been a recurring error with BB Link for quite awhile now. Why doesn't BB do something about it. I get the "Failed to commit changes to device" with my Contacts and haven't found a solution. There are other discussions on this fourm concerning this problem, and they haven't solved the problem for everybody yet.
Some have solved the problem by deleting all of their bblink's, but that is all I use to sync my BB with Windows 7.
Please BB, do something. -
HT1386 I am getting an error message that syncing failed to start. Any ideas why?
I am getting an error message that syncing failed to start. Any ideas why. The ipad is working fine.
Then I tried to download and install them again but it kept saying the old itunes could not be removed.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
"error: command failed to execute correctly" on several packages
Last night, when I updated before shutting down, I got a few errors, as in the subject. As it was very late, I thought I'd pick it up today.
Unfortunately, the pacman log only lists one of the ones that failed as libgpg-error. The other one that I remember erroring was gawk. There were a few others, maybe four or five, but I couln't reliably recall them all, so won't guess.
Here's a new attempt to reinstall gawk with --debug. I did the same with libgpg-error and the error occurred at the same place, with very similar output, so I think the issue is the same for all failures.

pacman thinks the upgrade/reinstall was successful in that the latest version is installed.
I did a search on the forums and the only other issue that I thought was connected might be microcode not up to date, but I had followed the update instructions some time back and as far as I can tell, the microcode is up to date.
I have two main questions:
1) How do I work out what's causing the error, from above?
2) Is there a way I can work out which packages gave the error, so I can make sure they're installed properly?
Thanks. The following packages also had problems
( 2/17) upgrading glibc
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 3/17) upgrading binutils
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 4/17) upgrading coreutils
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 8/17) upgrading gcc
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 9/17) upgrading gcc-fortran
error: command failed to execute correctly
(10/17) upgrading gcc-libs
error: command failed to execute correctly
Does anybody have a clue?

RFC error while running sync job in AC 10
I have done all the configuration to add new SAP system via SPRO in GRC 10. Now I am trying to run the sync job for the first time, I am getting the below mssage. I checked the RFC desitinations, it looks fine.
Error in RFC; 'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_ROLE_GET_RANGES" not'
Error in RFC; 'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_ROLE_GET_RANGES" not'
Role sync failed with errors
Program for Repository User Synchronization
Error in RFC; 'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES" not f'
User sync failed with errors
Repository Object sync job failed with errors
Please check SLG1 for further details
I checked in SLG1 also, its displaying the same errors as listed above. I have some systems added earlier which are correctly configured and working fine. I tried to match the configuration with the new systems, and everything looks fine. Not sure why this error is coming.
Please someone can help.Hello,
It seems to be a problem with the add-on in the back-en system, and a function module couldn't be found. Check the RFC connection (refer here for example GRC AC10 sync job error ) and make sure the add-on is properly installed.A simple check could be go to the back-end system, tx SE37 and check if the function modules exist.
Cheers,
Diego. -

I have a similar error for which I have put up a separate post, your input would be highly valuable.
My RFC connection works via the test in SM59 but when executing GRAC_AUTH_SYNC I get a simiar error to your above.
Please let me know what steps you took.

Using idisk ... failed sync .... BZ2_bzRead
i keep getting a failed sync message on both my macbook pro and mac pro. Doesn't matter if it's manual or auto... it just wont sync. These are both brand new macs that came preinstalled with osx leopard 10.5.2.
I checked the log file and saw this:
[2008/03/04 03:55:12.156] Starting manual sync of "nameofaccount_iDisk".
[2008/03/04 03:55:16.041] EXCEPTION: BZ2_bzRead (Unexpected EOF)

[2008/03/04 03:55:16.043] Aborting sync of "nameofaccount_iDisk".
[2008/03/04 03:55:16.710] Sync of "nameofaccount_iDisk" encountered errors. (BZ2_bzRead (Unexpected EOF))
[2008/03/04 03:55:16.711] Last successful sync completed at (null).
[2008/03/04 03:55:16.711] Finished sync of "nameofaccount_iDisk".
what going on with this?Try going into System Preferences->.Mac->Sync->Advanced and clicking "Reset Sync Data" and see if that helps. You could also try clicking the "Sign Out" button in the Account section of the .Mac pref pane. Restart. Then go back into System Preferences->.Mac and re-enter your .Mac info and see if that works. Other then that, I have no clue.
Good luck... -
Error message "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing" on iPhone
I purchased 3 books in itunes to read on my iphone using ibooks. I have synced and I can see the books in my iBooks bookshelf, but when I try to open them I get an error message "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing". I have tried opening the book again, deleting and resyncing but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
I was having the same probem.
I found success when I shut my iphone down all the way (press and hold power button then "slide to power off")
then started it back up. My phone was linked to my computer at the time, so it went through the sync - not sure if that is important. But, I can now read my books!
Good luck -
Backup Assistant Service Failed - Sync state not supported by this operation
I have a Samsung Stratosphere running Gingerbread 2.3.5. Recently I tried to use the Backup Assistant app and it gave me the error message:
Service Failed
Sync state not supported by this operation
How do I get it to work again? I can't think of anything that could have caused this. It worked when I first got the phone.I clicked on "backup my contacts" and they backed up--I see them. Here is
the strange thing: the first person to get back to me told me to disable
the app since it didn't work well with Android. I did that. Two days
later, it started to back up. Huh????? Seems like it is inconsistent.
So, do I just wait until it doesn't work again (dumb question--what else
can I do???). Does this happen to others?
Thanks so much. I am new to Verizon and so far I am pleased and really
like that you got back to me!!
Sincerely,
Fran

Just in the last month I've been getting a failed syncing message in iSync with my T610. Previously for the past 2 years things have worked flawlessly.
This is the error I'm getting:
The connection was lost while sending some changes to the device.
Device "Johns T610" synchronization failed
Any help in troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Powermac Dual 2.5 Mac OS X (10.4.5)John & lawrence.
Working with the same configuration, and have no
problems encountered so far.
Some ideas:
1. Perhaps wel known, but after your systemupdates
did you run "repair permissions" ?
2. Also are your systems regularly running the
maintenance (Cron) routines. These empty caches and
logs. You can have this done my keeping your system
up and running overnight or by forcing the routines
with terminal commands or some free/shareware apps.
3. What are you syncing adresses and/or iCal ? What
happens if you sync only one.
I am thinking (if 1 & 2 don't work out) that one of
your files is corrupted.
HtH
Ben
I have repaired permissions several times a week from the install disc.
I admittedly have started putting it to sleep many (though not all) nights. I'll leave it on tonight. I am syncing only iCal, not address book
I have also run Disk Warrrior and re-paired the phone.
