601 vs. RGB Titles for 10 bit

I've received title cards from a graphics house that are either 601 or RGB in TIFF or PSD format. I tried placing the PSD file into FCP, but it wouldn't accept it. My sequence is 10 bit NTSC, so I then placed the 601 TIFF file into my sequence. The titles are yellow text on black background. Problem is I've noticed during fade in/out of the title card, the black background around the titles looks gray. I'm wondering whether they only show as gray on my Macbook Pro LCD, which is currently set to default "Color LCD" which I believe is RGB color space. I assume they will show as black in the video realm. I realize there are different color calibrations, so I tried putting the RGB file into the timeline and the black level matched fine. My timeline setting is "Render all video processing as high precision YUV". Not sure if that's relevant or not. I'm doing an expensive Digibeta output on Monday so I need to get this right. Any info much appreciated!

Actually I have TIFF's already so that's fine, cause I don't really want to mess with Photoshop PSD's which I'm not so good at. I have links to the 601 TIFF and RGB TIFF:

Data Federator XI 3.0 using DB2 VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA Column?

We have a column in a DB2 database that is defined as VARCHAR(16) FOR
BIT DATA.
We are using the suggested IBM JDBC driver, db2jcc.jar, against a DB2
OS/390 8.1.5 version database.
The Datasource column displays a data type of NULL, indicating the DF
does not understand or cannot handle this IBM data type.
We have two issues.
First, target tables are not able to return any columns, regardless if
we exclude columns defined as NULL as mentioned above. We see the
'Wait' animation for a very long time when we use the 'Target table
test tool' option. Selecting to display the count only, returns zero.
We are able to fetch and view non-NULL column data when using the
'Query tool' under the Datasource pane.
I also get the same result when using the 'My Query Tool' in Server
Administrator; a selection agains the sources returns data while
selecting from a target table returns no data. Also, a 'select
count(*)' returns zero.
The second issue is in mapping a relationship between two DB2 tables
where the join is between two columns of the above mentioned type
(NULL).
The error we get back when we use "Show Errors" is "The types
'NULL' (in 'S1.PLANNEDGOALID') and 'NULL' (in 'S2.PLANNDEDGOALID') are
not compatible.". When reviewing the relationship, a dashed red line
appears instead of a solid grey line between the two tables in the
"Table relationships and pre-filers" section of our mapping pane.
The following query returns an error via the Server Administrator
Query Tool; "Types 'NULL' and 'NULL' are not compatible for operator
'=' (Error code : 10248)".

So, the following is the two questions we require answers for...
Is this a limitation of Data Federator?
Is there a work around short of changing the datatype in the database.

The VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA is a binary data type and Data Federator does not support binaries. But if in your case, it makes sense to map this column to a VARCHAR data type you can configure the DB2 connector to view this column as a VARCHAR.
Your column can be mapped explicitly to a data type of your choice using a property: castColumnType.
This property can be set updating the resource you selected when you registered you DB2 data source.
If the resource is "jdbc.db2", then:
1. Launch Data Federator Administrator
2. Click on "Administration" tab
3. Click on "Connector Settings"
4. Select the right resource: "jdbc.db2"
5. Click "Add a property"
6. Select "castColumnType"
7. Set its value to: VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA=VARCHAR
8. Click on Ok
You should see this column as a VARCHAR.

Duplicate report title for every date where records are found in date range

I have a developed a report that lists multiple entries by date range with a page break separating each date. What I would like to include now is a report title which only appears once for each date, and separated by page break.

According to your description, it seems that you want to eliminate the duplicate report title for every date. If in this scenario, I suggest that we can try to add a group grouped on date range, and then add a child group grouped on report title. Then add
page breaks between each instance of date range group.
If I have something misunderstood, please provide us more information about the report. Such as provide us some screenshots about the report with sample data. So that we can make further analysis and help you out.

How can I create a Title for the worksheet in Discoverer Plus

Dear members,
I am using discoverer 4i Plus to create workbooks. I am not finding an option to insert a title for the worksheet. In Discoverer Desktop we have a separate option to insert or edit a title. I am not sure how can we create titles in Plus.
Any suggestions.

Hi,
I am not able to login to Discoverer Desktop Using my Applications username. My Desktop Version is 4.1.37. The same username works in Discoverer 4i Plus and i can create workbook there.
I went to Tools--->Options--->Connections and checked the option connect to both standard and application EUL's and while i am logging in i checked the small box which comes in the login screen. I do not know why this happening.
I am also able to login as the database user in Desktop but not as an application user.
I want to login into desktop as an application user and create a template workbook which has title and then assign that workbook to a particular responsibility since creating title cannot be done in Plus.
I am not sure what's going wrong here because the Desktop works for database user but not for an application user. Any comments are highly appreciated.

Now this is only happening in the cases where I have assigned free goods Inclusive 10MT. If the order is less than 10MT (that is if no free goods attached) posting is accepted & billing & account determination is processed successfully.
I am unable to identify the reason though I have worked a lot on MM/Fico on the system.
Please provide your valued inputs why this is happening?

I checked cost center field G004 -->Addl Act assignemtn -->Cost center which is Optional entry. Should I check any other items on the screen as I am unable to understand which field is applicable on a/c field.
Profit center, cost object are in G004 as supressed field.
So should I make optional? So thing will work.
Other Q should I also consider G025 Inventory adjustment account? As per error this a/c is not shown. So pl advise me steps or heading which I should consider.

Creating a title for RSS feeds

I have a podcast and have made a website for it using iWeb. I went to iTunes to submit my podcast, but later found out that my RSS feed for my podcast has no title in the blue section at the top of the screen.
How do I create a title for an RSS feed (it should be the same whether or not it's a blog or a podcast) using iWeb '08? By title, I mean the words in the blue bar at the top of any RSS feed. Hi,
It is possible to set the Document title for PDF output. Open the Reports Property Inspector, under PDF Document Taxonomy, you can set the Document title. But this does not show up in the browser when you open the document.

BP Title for person not updating in database

Hi Experts,
I am finding an strange problem in creation of BP.
We are uisng CRM2007 service pack5. Whne we try to create BP from IC agent role, we select the Title as Mr. after saving the BP on web IC, the title is not getting updated in the database table BUt000.
Can you confirm is this a bug because of new Service Pack 5.

Hi Arun,
The title for HR employees and business partners have different key. Hence title 0001 may have different text for HR and different for BP. Hence, the code needs to do a mapping.
For this, you need to maintain the customizing tables correctly. Please refer to note 984590 which has this information.
Can you check if notes 1004176 and 1239702 are applied in your system u2013 they take care of this title mapping problem.

Wishing to do the same thing, I've explored this with Macromedia. It appears to be a licensing problem for the Flash 5 engine. Macromedia wants a commitment of several thousand dollars (like close to 6 figures) to license the engine for an application. That's for a single applicaiton, and not a generic toolkit like JMF. I assume Sun found the same thing and balked, understandably.

I have to synchronize unidirectionally from the Oracle database to DB2. And I'd like to save the information of the record of DB2 prior to the update operation.
And here is where the problem arises for me, because when I try to read from Java with the connection established on DB2 is unable to interpret the information. While there are no problems from Oracle to consume the information, it happens that DB2 field types are not common with Oracle, such as char () for bit data. From what I could find the equivalent in Oracle would be raw (), but since Java is possible to read this type of information... And this is my doubt, it is necessary to do any type of cast or to do a special view to retrieve this information?

I have some files I am working with. Details and what happened:
Had some music files where I was doing some trimming/splitting. Files worked fine in itunes.
Open the files in Quicktime Pro 7 to trim them. Exported to aif.
Opened the files with itunes. They open and play just fine.
In Itunes I click"create AAC version" to convert them.
I receive the message "An error occurred while trying to import the file. The current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file."
I don't know what to do from here. Suggestions?

Make sure that the AIFFs that you export are set for 16 bit PCM.
Also, assuming that you are using 44.1 kHZ sampling in your AIFFs, make sure that you are not trying to use 48 kHz in the AAC.

TITLE for the Interactive report

Hi,
I like to show a Title for the Interactive Report in several different languages.
But it seems if I just pick Interactive report, there will be no Title shown.
What is proper way of doing this ?
So, what I did was, I created a HTNL region, just to show the Title, but it seems the translation and XLF file doesn't pick it up

It looks like a bug.
The REGION title text is missing in "TRANSLATE APPLICATION" in "SHARED COMPONENTS" under WINDOWS environment.
The REGION title text is in SUN environment, but does not shown as translated in the browser.
