6110 paired with Nuvi 660

Hi All,
I have had the nuvi for some time and have been through many nokia phones with it. My problem is my new 6110 will work as a hands free but will not let me access my phone book or messages. They are connected via bluetooth.
I found a link on the euro web site that provided a contact manager to solve the issue with other phiones but I can't find one for the 6110. Any assistance greatly appreciated. I am constantly in the car and this feature is very important to me and I also like the phone and don't wanna have to return it.
Cheers
Rob

 UPDATED FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS
Incoming Calls to my Treo are displayed on the nuvi as three lines. The first line displayed is the message "Incoming Call", the second line displayed is the complete phone number, the third line displayed are two blue buttons, one says "Ignore" the others says "Answer". When I touch "Answer" the nuvi display changes back to previous display (Map, menu, etc) then there is a click through it's speaker as if it is hanging up, but the phone call is not answered. As the Treo continues to either ring or vibrate and display incoming call, the nuvi will change back to it's Incoming Call display with the options to Ignore or Answer but with the same results. This continues until the Treo displayed Missed Call message.
PS I have also reported this issue with Garmin and will cross post on AT&T forums

  • BT pairing with Garmin Nuvi 2310

    Hi everyone
    BB Curve 8520 v5.0.01036 - BT v1.1
    Garmin Nuvi 2310 - BT v5
This is my first BB, I wish I bought one years ago.  Its great.
I do have a problem pairing with my satnav.  The satnav turns off once the connection is made.  I have read other posts but nothing refers to the Curve 8520.
One post said the the different versions of BT could be the problem?  I have emailed Garmin to see if they can supply an older version of their firmware for BT.  Does anyone know if the BT version can be updated on the BB?  Both the Garmin and BB have been updated using their software/websites.
Any help on this is appreciated, Allan.

I have a new 8520 and a Nuvi 660 which I've had a couple of years. Paired easily with no problem IRO using the Nuvi as a handsfree device in the car.
The Nuvi is running BT sw 3.4. and the BB same as yours.

  • IPhone and Garmin Nuvi 660 pair!

Thought I would mention that the iPhone successfully pair with the Garmin Nuvi 660 via Bluetooth, AND all of the address book entries (including multiple numbers) gets transferred to the Nuvi for use. Great feature to dial while on the road without even taking the iPhone out....

I have not had any problems; I get in-and-out of the car and each time the two devices have successfully paired. I once turned off BT for a while in the iPhone but had no problems when I turned it back on and then later got in the car to go somewhere. I keep my Nuvi plugged in all the time -- maybe that makes a difference? Do you unplug your Nuvi when leaving the car and then replug it when starting out again?

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

Brian - The batteries are fine and there has only every been one keyboard paired with it. We have tried my MacPro keyboard as well, and it will not even recognise that there is a discoverable keyboard nearby.

  • IPhone 5S bluetooth pairing with prius in-car phone Issue

Let me begin by saying that this is my first problem with any apple device!  EVER!!
I have an Verizon iPhone 5S, less than 2 months old, with the new OS 8.0.2 update and it will no longer pair correctly with my 2012 Prius V's in-car bluetooth phone.  You try to call someone, it doesn't connect and you can't hang up!!!! Then auto-calls them when you turn the bluetooth on (in the phone)... but doesn't physically make the call on the phone.  Now if the bluetooth in my phone is on, and I even start the car, the car states it's trying to call home.  I have attempted many of the following in different combinations with no success:
Tried to end the call on the car's interface (it won't turn off), pressed the hang up button on the steering wheel -- nada.
    Restarted Phone
    Turned Car on/off/on
Removed all pairings and re-paired them together
Made sure the LTE option was on (the iPhone 6 option, which seems to be relatively successful, for data and voice/voice only/data only is not an option on iPhone 5S)
Now, my husband has a Droid 4 and it works seamlessly with the bluetooth pairing.  The car does play, through the bluetooth, Audio through the phone.
I guess I should also state I did NOT have any issues with iOS 8.0 or the 8.0.1 upgrades with pairing with the car's bluetooth technology.  I have checked and my Entune "upgrades" are all up to date.

    Hello Sorridera,
The article linked below details a number of steps that can restore your iPhone's ability to correctly connect to your vehicle's Bluetooth system.

  • IMac (Mountain Lion) does not pair with Apple Remote

    Hi,
my iMac (2009, Mountain Lion) does pair with my remote. Otherwise the remote (or remotes, I tried two) are working fine with the iMac, it just wont pair.
I need it to pair as I have an iMac and MPB and each having its own remote (each computer should react only to its remote, not the other computer remote)
I googled this extensively, here is what I did so far:
    - obviously, trying the normail "pair remote" procedure as the support page says
    - checking that infrared remote pairing is enabled and no other remote is currenly paired
    - restarting Mac OS
    - removing and reinsterting battery in remote
    - making sure I am an Admin
    - disabling the remote function in Plex and killing all Plex (and EyeTV and similar) processes via Activity Monitor (thought they might somehow limite the OS control over the remote)
    - tried the same with another remote (does not pair as well)
    This is very annoying.
    Can anyone help out?
    Much appreciated

    Hi den,
Does the remote remember which computer it is paired to? I though only the computer remebers that.
In any case, currently there is not remote paired to any computer (both computers have clean new Mountain Lion installations). And I cannot pair any remote to any of my machines. In between, I tried with the laptop as well, and it is not pairing as well. I also tried an (old, still working) third remote... nothing is happening.
Some apps seem to take control of the remote (e.g. pressing menu start Plex on my systems). Could that be the issue? Is there a Terminal command to give Mac OS back full control over the remote?
Or could it be something else? 'Is there an app for that' a la ForcePair.app?
    Thank you
p.s. this is the page that I was refering to ealier, not working for me

I looked at the same sight for that and it does not say that.  This is the first time I have posted a question, you don't have to be mean about it.  I am trying to get this to work for a good cause.
It may be the best source of assistance is the manufacturer of the device. I suspect you will need a specific app for the iPhone to get it to work, but the site is rather ambiguous about that.

  • I just downloaded the newest IOS software and now my iPhone5 won't pair with the Bluetooth in my car (the car system says it's paired when I try to re-pair it but then when n try to make a call it tells me it doesn't recognize the phone.

I just downloaded the IOS upgrade, 7.0.2, and now my iPhone 5 won't pair with my Bluetooth in my car, despite repeated attempts to re-pair the two and despite the fact it's been paired fine previously.  The car system tells me it's paired but then when I try to make a call I get another message that says there is no paired phone.

You can't override it no matter what you do. The device has to connect to the server to complete the iOS update. You could try rebooting the iPad and see if that lets you connect to the server after it starts up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that will not work, you can try connecting to iTunes on your computer and see if the activation will complete. Sometimes when thes activation issues arise, you end up having to restore the device again, but first things first. Reboot and see what happens.

    Hello,
My iPad 2 has never been "paired" with any PC.  My one and only PC is corrupted and will not, after many many attempts, download iTunes.  When I turn on my iPad it insists that I connect to my iTunes.  How can I avoid this and just get the iPad to work like normal?  Any help is much appreciated

You cannot do anything with the iPad until you do as instructed by the iPad and connect to iTunes on a computer.
You probably need to restore the iPad and the only way to do that is via iTunes on a computer.
Take it to an Apple Store and ask for help at a Genius bar or take it to a friend's house that is running iTunes on their computer and try to restore it.
You will lose all of your data and settings now because you never backed the iPad up in the past.

My neighbour's Mac Book Pro shows up as discoverable in my Bluetooth list on my iPad Air.  How can I block her Bluetooth device? How can I prevent her pairing with my device?  I need Bluetooth to stream music on my Bose system.  Thanks!

If your device is discoverable, the other BT device would try (I am not sure if that would be successful). If it was, it would appear in your system preferences>Bluetooth.
Take a look at this re: security:

This is from another Apple article:
    Use Bluetooth
You can wirelessly transfer files between computers—even Mac to PC—using the Bluetooth File Exchange utility. You can even browse selected devices and retrieve files remotely. For extra security, you can stipulate that only trusted devices be allowed to connect to your Mac, and 128-bit over-the-air encryption is also available

P.S. Since I have not had the issue, I have not researched this before. Thank you for making me look into BT security

  • Magic Mouse won't stay paired with booth Boot Camp and Windows 7

So I have a Broadcom Bluetooth 2.1 dongle on Mac Pro 1,1, Lion, Boot Camp 3.3 and Windows 7 latest service pack and latest drivers/operating system. Everything is up-to-date.
My problem started with Windows 7 not wanting to pair with mini alluminum keybord AND magic mouse. I followed a post somewhere and I was able to get the keyboard to pair and work when I switch between Lion and Bootcamp Windows 7 by removing it from Bluetooth Prefs in Lion, adding it to Windows 7 BC, and then adding it again in Lion.
However, magic mouse will still work with onlly one: If I add it to Windows 7 and then restart to Lion, add it there and then restart in Windows, it shows as paired in Windows but it does not respond. I then remove it from Windows 7 and add it again, and it works. Then I reboot in Lion. It is on the list, but not connected. Even the option to connect is not available. I try restarting the mouse, no luck. The only way I can get it to work in Lion again, is to remove it and add it again. Now, I go back to Windows 7, It is there on the list, but it does not respond. In short, the Magic Mouse only seems to want to stay paired (or work) with either Win 7 or Lion. Getting it to work with one cancels the other.
BTW, every time I pair it with Lion, I set it as a Favorite.
    Any suggestions?

Some more info I have gleaned from my 13" white Core 2 Duo Macbook (not sure what generation - came with Tiger though). If I uninstall the Intel graphics drivers, the Sleep option is gone from Windows 7 but it will hibernate, and when resuming from hibernation the screen comes back on. However, when the Intel drivers are reinstalled the "screen off" problem is present for both hybernate and sleep. Two other data points: the power manager can't turn off the screen (after X minutes, etc) and I can't get any picture on an external monitor either. Just wanted to share.

  • How can I pair with Apple TV without going to set up on Apple TV?

How can I pair with Apple TV without going to set up on Apple TV?

Sign up for what? All you need is airplay enabled on ATV, then when iPad is on the same network you double tap home button, swipe (left to right motion) and you will bring up the volume/brightness controls, along with airplay. Tap on airplay (rectangle with triangle in it) and select ATV, toggle ON mirroring.
The only way to mirror the iPad is wirelessly through ATV or by purchasing the adapter and connecting directly to your TV. Bluetooth via your Blu-Ray player won't help with this.

A lost my remote control for apple tv. I want to use my phone as a remote but the applications can' pair with the Apple TV device , how can I pair them without remote?

    Setup for remote app: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1947
    Specifically:
Set up Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation)
On Apple TV, select Settings from the main menu.
Select General > Remotes > Remote App. If Home Sharing isn't set up on your Apple TV, you should turn it on.
Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) uses Home Sharing to stream content from your iTunes library on your computer to your HDTV.  If  you connect your Apple TV to your iTunes library using  Home  Sharing, you can use Remote to browse and play content from any  iTunes library in the Computers   section of your Apple TV. You can also  use Remote to select  between available speakers to enhance  your  audio and video experience.
