6120c and TomTom Go 920 T: Unable to create data c...

Hello,
I have a Nokia 6120c and a TomTom Go 920T. As the TomTom is a bluetooth device, I've been able to pair both together and I am able to give calls.
However, I've subscribed to some online update data services and it doesn't work. These require the tomtom device to initiate a data connection (GPRS, etc.) through the 6120c. That's where the problems start.
First of all, the list of TomTom's supported phone is not long and doesn't include the 6120c. When trying to auto-detect one, it always propose the Nokia N95. However, trying to either go with that model, another 6xxx model or go through the manual setup (gprs.swisscom.ch, gprs/gprs, dhcp, manual DNS or dynamic - both), nothing works. In the best case, while testing the connection, the TomTom sends 120 octets and receives 50 (or the opposite), but never ever goes beyond that limit! It always stops at 120/50!
Any idea what's going wrong?
My TomTom is up-to-date (soft) as is my Nokia firmware (updated a few weeks back).
Any idea? Any way to actually "debug" the negociation to see what part is going wrong?

I was able to make it work... I don't really know how, which is frightening.
I started by modifying some PPP features in the /ppp/gprs-connect-chat file (mostly increasing the timeout values and adding a space before the '=' of cgdcont). But it didn't work. So I went through the wizard again and it worked. Content of my file is now:

I have done both. When I hold down the "C" key it pauses for a few seconds while the cd spins and then the flashing folder icon appears.
Could be you have the wrong cd/dvd. The mac will only boot a supported cd/dvd for your machine. The flashing question mark indicdates your machine could not find a valid os.
When I hold down the "option" key for the startup manager the cursor comes up and moves but the actually manager doesn't come up no matter how long I leave the laptop on.
Not sure. Could be your machine does not support the startup manager. You would think the machine would ignore the key.
Where did you get the dvd? What is the number on the DVD?
What machine do you have anyway?

Unable to create data-domain in Endeca 3.0v

Hi,
I have installed Endeca 3.0 server in non-SSL mode. The verification URL http://localhost:7001/endeca-server/ws/manage?wsdl is opening up. I could login into the WebLogic Administration Console and could see that the oracle.endecaserver Web application has a State of "Active" in the Administration Console. But when I try to create data-domain using through command prompt I get an error as: 'java' is not recognized as internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
May I know what is preventing from creating data-domain.

It sounds like you are running endeca-cmd[.sh] create-dd as a user who does not have the Java JDK on its PATH.
To set this temporarily for the life of one shell you can follow the instructions in the JRockit Installation and Upgrade Guide, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15289_01/doc.40/e15065/post_install.htm#i1066387 . To make this permanent, for Linux you'll want to add this to your shell startup files (.bash_profile) or on Windows follow the instructions to add an environment variable.

Windows XP and Windows 7 dual boot (unable to create partition)

Hello, 3 months ago I bought in Bangkok a Lenovo S10-2 with 2 GB Memory (it came with 1 GB) and Thai Keyboard (Thai Keyboard is the American Keyboard with the Thai Alphabet) which works just fine.
I'd like to install Windows 7 in a new partition and a dual boot with the existing Windows XP. The problem is that It's not possible to create a partition on the C: disk. I've been trying with EASEUS Partition Master, Partition Manager 10 Express and none of them let me do it, only Resizing/Moving the existing partition is an option.
Hard disk looks as follows:
C: Type: NTFS | Size 103.91 GB | Used: 29.49 GB | Unusued: 79.42 GB | Status: System | Pri/Log: Primary

be sure that you can restore if something goes wrong...
if you dont know what happens ... dont do this...
first you can have 3 active (primary & 1 logical ..
as i have for example 1.XP,2. Win7,3. Ubuntu...and 4. Logical (for common data like music,video,textfiles,picture and...)
or 4 active primary...(..)
...hope that you knows easeus partitionmanager a bit ...
...lets have a look :
so you have ... partition c: (XP) ..... ca. 70 GB .... thats enough room for windows 7...(prefer 30GB workspace)
start in windows ... start easeus PM .. click on drive c: (XP) and resize to ... GB leave 30 GB black space behind..(for W7)..
go on this empty space create new primary NTFS partition ... and after that , right click on new primary drive set active !!!! .... click apply button and cross fingers
... system will restart and easeus will manage all your changes takes time...
after restart... prepared for booting windows 7 install and if windows asking you , take the second partition on your harddrive (30 GB)..... and ....so on...
thats the way to go ...

Unable to create data source for planning via workspace

I have installed the following products in Hyperion 11.1.2
- Foundation
- Essbase, EAS
- Planning
- Reporting & Analysis
However, when I log in to Workspace (http://server:19000/workspace, I only see the following menu options under Navigate -> Administer
-Shared Services Console
-Workspace Server Settings
-Manage preferences
There is another menu item Navigate->Open Items which is grayed out.
I am able to create the Planning application via http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp url but unable to do that via workspace.
Any help regarding why I do not see the other menu options under Navigate->Administer would be highly appreciated.

Try running the configurator again and go through "Foundation > Configure web server", I would then restart the services in the correct order and see if that helps.

Hi,
Usually the most of the R3 system have 2 clients, One is the customizing client in which we do the developemt. And the other is the Application client in which all the configruation is done. Which usually Developers dont have access to. The changes made to the customizing client would be automatically reflected in the other client. Which can also be the client in which you have data.
BW system is usually connected to client which has data and not the customization client.
Check with the basis team which is the customizing client.

that is because the other projects created a package of its own. Thats no problem and not required for execution.
You have to do
1) create in your project's src directory a subdirectory called "examples" (if you want to use the package)
2) in this subdir (./src/examples/) you have to put the MethodTimes.java file which contains the code from above with the "package examples;" statement.
3) run the WTKs build and afterwards the run
This should work. If not, be plz more precisely on whats not working.
And the WTK 2.1 should be no problem at all since I used it too.

This seems to indication my identity assertion is incorrect. My oam authentication provider is pretty simple.
I am using OPEN transport security so the provider config is pretty simple. I provided an AccessGate pwd, primary and secondary access gate servers and Access Gate name provided by my administrator.
I'm not sure about what the Application Domain field refers to. Can someone provide guidance on that?

I imported videos from ipod touch to iphoto. Then i try to export the videos on either desktop or external hard-drive and it gives me the "unable to create *file name*" error in both cases. To export videos i go FIle-Export, choose kind "original". Tried to do it with several different albums, and it doesn't work on any of them. Didn't have an issue for exporting pictures though.

hi we have a new unity connection 10.51 install . trying to create a 2nd mailbax store and get the following error:

creates the store but i can't open it to mount it / enable it.

Sadly, that did not resolve the problem. The app still terminated and generated an error. Any other suggestions?

If you have the SSIS and SSDT (BIDS) installed then
I believe the DTS assemblies got derigistered, a typical outcome of corrupted software, so a full re-install would be the best option. VS +SQL Server + more
Otherwise, as a quick fix try to
reference the SSIS assemblies, like Microsoft.SQLServer.ManagedDTS.dll + more.
They are by default in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\<number>\SDK\Assemblies.

Unable to create the type with the name 'ODATA'

On a test server with VS 2012 and SQL 2012 installed, I have created an SSIS project in project deployment mode. In the packages of the project I use the Odata source for SSIS. The packages run fine in VS 2012. But when I deploy the package to the Integration
Services catalog on the same server as where I am running VS 2012 I get a deployment error:
‘Failed to deploy project. For more information, query the operation_messages view for the operation identifier '25084'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 27203)'
When I read this message from the SSISDB database, I see the problem with ODATA.

As I said: the packages with the Odata run without error when tested from within VS2012 on the SAME server. When I deploy the project from Visual Studio I get the error.
For completeness: I have also tried deployment from VS2012 to another server where the SSIS Odata source has bene deployed. Also to no avail.

The next possiblity for me was to convert the project to Package deployment and see what the result I get. I have converted my project with package connections from project deployment to Package deployment. Then I deployed the package on the server in MSDB
catalog from SSIS. I.e. I connect with SSMS to Integration Services as an administrator and under the MSDB folder I added a new folder for my package. I then imported the dtsx into the mdsb package store. The Import worked. Still from within SSMS and connected
to the Integration Services, i right-clicked on the package in the MSDB store and selected 'Run package'. In the Execute Package dialog window, I clicked on 'Execute' and the package actually ran. The Odata connector was opened, it read the data and imported
into my database.
This experience made me realize what the real culprit was: The OData connector is a 32-bit connector in SQL Server 2012.
To prove this: with SSMS I connected to the SQL database server and in the Integration services catalog, i right-clicked on the package that was deployed in Project deployment mode, then selected 'Execute...'. In the execute dialog windo in the 'Advanced'
tab I checked 32-bit runtime. And the package ran.
To wrap it all up:
The Project deployment will work, but not with the Odata source as project connection. The Odata connection must be defined in each package as a package connection.

Trouble exporting photos: why does it say "unable to create?

I'm trying to export 100 jpegs to a folder on my desktop. After six or 7 have been exported, it stops, and I get the message 'unable to create'. No explanation follows.
What is happening? Does it have anything to do with the fact that some of my photos have been edited in Photoshop Elements? All have been saved as jpegs.

Not if you did it correctly using PSE as the external editor and saving (not save as) so iPhoto is updated properly
All have been saved as jpegs.
Does the photo where it stops have the same name as a previous file?
Try right clicking on the photo and selecting show file (or show original file if that is available)
