Hi,
I have a Nokia 6120 classic and a Jabra BT2010 headset. When using the headset, every time I answer a call I have a 3 second delay until I can hear anything.
During these 3 seconds I hear 3 beeps: one the moment I answer the phone, a second one a couple of seconds after that, and a third one just before I can start to speak.
Does someone have the same problem? Is this a firmware problem and will be fixed with a new firmware? I have firmware 3.83.

that is a bit strange, i have used Nokia BT headset BH-900, BH-201 and BH-600 on the 6120 and there is no delay...
it could be related to your headset... if there is a way to factory re-set that jabra? i had a jabra before, and it can be done if i remeber correctly,when you keep pressing volume up + power on for 10sec and watch the LED change color...

I'll rather buy Samsung tablet and an android phone and then i'll buy android apps, and update android. Apple need to remember customers vote with their feet, and IBM nearly went under because of it's own arrogance - could it be apple are going the same way?

Bluetooth earpiece muffled when answering a call

Has anybody have this problem when answering a call from your bluetooth head set and the caller says he can't hear you for a couple of seconds and then it sounds just fine? Tried different head sets and the same problem. seems like the head set has a pause or it is trying to reconnect

I am having similar issues. IP4, connected to a 2009 Toyota Bluetooth system. Worked flawlessly with my 3G.
I have erased all settings, rebooted phone, tried every way of pairing. Phone is always in a plastic holder 3 inches from stero or in cup holder. Result, static for the other end. No one can hear me and my calls get s garbeled and fade in and out. I hear just fine.
My 1G and 3G all work great, but not the iPhone 4.
I have not yet contacted Apple. I keep hoping I will find a solution on these boards.

Yes... simply select the appropriate audio output when answering the call.

N97 Freezes when answering a call

It's an issue with hundreds of phones. Some claim it's software related, some hardware, some say it's a mixture of both.
Some people have had temporary success with quitting the Phone.app / restoring as a new phone / restoring from an iCloud backup / disabling Siri / toggling speakerphone on & off...
Unfortunately all of the above only been temporary, with the problem recurring again after a few calls, or a few days etc.
So far the only solution that seems permanent has been to replace the phone. But even so, it's the luck of the draw to recieve a functional phone, and not another faulty one.
I'm completely annoyed as there is no Apple Store near me...... and Apple haven't even acknowledged the issue, despite the above thread being 34 pages long, as of writing.

I'm not going to be of much use regarding answers but I sure am going to watching this post like a hawk for any replies. My package is a slightly diluted version of this and I do find the BBtalk and data limits hard to make the most of as well.
If nothing else this totally highlights how complicated BT have managed to make their packages.
A cynic would assume that they are trying to catch us out at every step and for us to either be overspending or not really getting the moneys worth.

Iphone 5 call with bluetooth (problem)

since I update the IOS for the IOS 8.0 I have a problem using the bluetooth in my car (Mazda 6 2008). The iPhone connects to the car bluetooth system and works fine, the only problem is when I make a call, I don't hear the ringing sound, only start to listen when the person answers the call. If the person dont answer the call I dont even know if Im making a call or not because there is no ringing sound.
I think that this Is a problem with the IOS, it appears tha the iPhone only uses the bluetooth when the call is answer and not when I start to call.
In the previous versions of IOS everything works fine. I've tried to restore the last backup, hard reset, reset the network configurations, remove and pair the iPhone with the car again, but nothing works.
Anyone with the same issue?

I am very happy with my M100 Plantronics due to the aural information on battery life, connected etc. I was disapointed that it didn't work for my new iPhone 5, untill I was offered to trade off with another brand but I was unsatisfied with the other bluetooth that did not have any information service. So I tried sereral was untill I got fed up with it and I held the outboard butten on the M100 for 10 seconds or so - then it connected! And it just works perfectly now

Why can't I answer a call with speaker on?

iPhone 6; iOS 8.1.
Generally when I'm at home I want to answer calls with the speaker on, but I don't see any way to do this [see note below]. Instead, I have to slide to answer, wait 1-3 seconds for the audio button to appear (bluetooth is enabled), and then touch "Speaker". In the interval, the caller hears nothing while perhaps saying, "Hello? Hello?". So if I want to converse with speaker on, I have to say, "Hold on" first, touch Audio and then Speaker.
Note: I generally do NOT want to answer with speaker on when I'm away from home. There is a setting that I could theoretically use when departing and when returning home. The setting requires: touch Settings, touch General, touch Accessibility, scroll down, touch Call Audio Routing, and touch either Automatic (when leaving home), or Speaker (when returning). That is not only too onerous, but I'm likely to forget to do it anyway.
Am I overlooking a way to answer with speaker on? If not, wouldn't it be easy enough for Apple to put an appropriate button to do this on the incoming-call screen?

Thank you for the info and links. I never actually read anything from Apple about Hebrew not being supported. Since I was able to use other languages, of seemingly greater complexity, I assumed that Hebrew would work. The patch I was speaking of (that makes Hebrew song titles, etc readable) is actually not a hack. It was developed by a student in an Israeli university and purchased by Apples regional distributor (Yeda Inc., Apple's Israeli distributor). The software is called iPodHE.

I did read somewhere that they are working with Apple to resolve a conflict with the latest version of iTunes and iPodHE v2.0.

Can't End Call with Bluetooth Headset

Having just purchased a Blackberry 8330, I am disappointed with the inability to end a call with a Bluetooth hands free device (Jabra VBT185Z). The hang-up problem occurs when the Blackberry is locked and a call is placed with the Bluetooth device. While this may sound trivial, I find not being able to end a call while driving without first punching in password and unlocking my Blackberry extremely inconvenient, a hazard to driving, a waste of air time, and an engineering oversight.
I'd appreciate any advice on fixing the problem or determining a bluetooth alternative. (May be it's time for an iPhone.)

Please could you back up your phone and do a reset through Settings > About > Reset phone. Note this will wipe all data and settings from the phone.
Also, check your SIM card or swap it with a new SIM (usually without charge from your operator). If you still experience this, please take your phone to a Nokia Care point to ensure there is no hardware problems.

Answering a call via Bluetooth.

I have the 4s and the latest SW. I have the jay bird freedom 3 BT headset. While connected to the phone and in my ear and when a call comes in, it does not matter how I answered the call. I have to look at the phone and physically select the "audio device" and the my listed headset in order to get the call. Why does it not default to the headset when it is plugged in and connected?

Sounds like your headset is not paired properly with your phone. When a call comes in, does it ring through the headset? If not, you might want to try resetting everything. First, delete the bluetooth headset's profile from your phone, then turn bluetooth off. Follow this by resetting your phone: Press the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off). Follow your headset mfg's directions to reset your headset. Once done, pair them both again.

I have Lenovo S820. I update smartphone to last version firmware. Information from phone:

I also connected the bluetooth headset. In the phone attached 2 sim: MTS(3g and 2g), BWK(only 2g)
Problem:
When I call from first slot of sim with bluetooth before whistles Lenovo S820 activate flight mode and disconnect with all providers(MTS and BWK) and after reset call Lenovo S820 turn off flight mode.
In second phone I recive call, but I can't answer a call from Lenovo S820.
I try from different headsets. this problem occur with all headsets.

Lag to activate speaker button when answering a call

When I am answering a call, there is a three second delay before the speaker button is selectable. This is on iOS 7.1 and didn't happen in 7.0 or before. Is this intentional, or is this a flaw?

Contact info does not display when answering a call

instead of formatting my phone numbers as (123)456-7849 the iPhone Contacts app insists upon 1234567849
But when I receive calls, the display shows the caller with the parenthesis. And apparently that makes it different from the entry in Contacts.
But even when I save the call into Contacts, the number is reformatted without parenthesis, and there is no way to add parenthesis to the Contact info.
So basically I do not have caller-ID with my updated iPhone, it just shows the caller's phone number (with parenthesis, of course)
Help??? This is annoying.
