6121 music player...music library update dont work...

After transfering music to the phone using using nokia music manager vsn 2.0 from within PC suite, I went to music player in the phone to update music library. But i keep gettimng "no tracks"
I can see and play the files in Gallery >> tracks.
I have been transfering the files to Sounds >> digital.
Perhaps this is the wrong place?
Any assistance is appreciated.

Ohh, I see, i thought you unplugged the cable.
If the cable is connected it will say 'No tracks' in the music player, after disconnecting it will refresh it.

But as Dan said, a Production database should always be updated to the latest patchset (so here in
10.2.0.4) after checking it on your Test database.
Not only it can correct many bugs but, if you have to open a SR to MOS, you'll have a better support
(sometimes, if they think it's a bug they can ask you to apply the patchset too).

Can not open music player(music library) on n91

My fone has this problem for about a week. Whenever i tried to open music player, it said "opening" with a running bar. I can only play music on gallary by single track. I tried to connect my fone to computer to transfer or edit music, and it worked fine. I havent upgraded any new firmware at all, my fone still using the old version. Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

E63 & E71- Music player's equalizer does not work ...

I would advise to all the owners of the E71 and E63 that Nokia disenable the equalizer of the music player when you put the headphones in appliances. After updating the unit note that the equalizer only works with the sound of the speaker and the equalizer does not work with the headphones anymore.
I ask you to please click the link below and make their complaints about this new firmware that "destroys" the equalizer for the music player that Nokia fix this terrible problem!

Oh my. That is a big problem. Fortunately for me, I don't use the equalizer so it doesn't really affect me all that much. But still, I have no idea how they could just randomly break something like that.

What do you mean by 'does not work' ? If you would like help from these user-to-user forums then more info would be useful.
Do they songs show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes ? If they do, but they don't have the cloud symbol against them for redownloading, then do you still have them listed in the Music part of your library (where you would click on them to play them) ? If you do then try deleting them from there and they should then get the cloud symbol against them in Purchased for redownloading.
If you are in a country where music can't be redownloaded,or if you've changed countries since buying them or they are no longer in your country's store (content providers occasionally remove their content), then you will need to copy them back from your backup of your downloads/library.

Music player problem after updating the latest ver...

After updating the latest version for my phone, everything seems perfect. But today i see there is a serious problem of the music player. I still can play the music but i cannot change to another song or exit the player because whenever i do that, it is frozen (only music player).
Does everyone have the same problem and knows how to make it work smoothly again? Thanks

HI even my phone has stopped responding. I had a backup file in .nbu format created using the PC suite. I restored the phone using the backup file but it didnot help me. I cannot play even 3 songs consecutively, the player is getting hang and I am forced to restart. Please do not update your firmware. All the problems after I updated my firmware to 40.0.005 version. I am planning to take my phone to nokia care and reset the whole software once again so that it comes with the factory settings.

Nokia N96 Music Player DO NOT UPDATE Song's Cover ...

I use Windows Media Player added a cover picture (a.jpg) to a song (abc.mp3), then transfer this song to N96 use PCSuit Mode,
After the transfer completed, open the Music Player in N96 and play that song (abc.mp3), the Music Player can show the cover picture (a.jpg) normally,
Then, exit the Music Player.
And again, use Windows Media Player to modify the cover picture of abc.mp3, this time, just change the cover picture to (b.jpg), then, retransfer the song (abc.mp3) to N96 in the same way.
After the second transfer completed, reopen the Music Player and play the abc.mp3, and found that Music Player still shows the a.jpg as the cover picture,
In the right way, Music Player should shows the b.jpg as the cover picture, I think Music Player may have cache the song's cover picture when it plays the song.
How to solve this problem? Where is the Music Player to cache the song's cover pictures in?

There is a folder called 'private' which contains settings for various phone apps and their databases, but it's best not to play in there because you could damage any number of other elements of your phone.
If it is a bug, then check if you have already the latest software for your phone, as it may already be cured. If not, as a workaround, try deleting the track from the phone, updating the library and then retransferring the track.
There are also other ways to deal with album art which don't have this issue with teh N96 music player (I tested them all myself):

My music player is not responding/not working!

my nokia 5320 is three months old, i'hv loaded few songs into the mobile(music player), and it was working perfectly fine. all of a sudden it stopped playing. when i press the music player icon, "now playing" screen comes on with its contents, artist, albums....etc. further when i select any of those, it does not respond. can any one help. what should i do?

Flash player silent auto update not working

I was glad to read the news about the new feature of silent auto updates of the Adobe Flash player, but unfortunately this is not working on my machine. Has anyone had the same problems and was able to solve them?
Some information on my setup:
I had previously installed Flash player version 11.1.102.63, both ActiveX and Plugin version (installed through the .msi files, deployed via Active Directory/GPO - no further configuration, just plain original .msi files).
To test the auto update feature, I decided to install the new 11.2.202.228 version, but only the ActiveX version. I installed this via the .exe installer (install_flash_player_11_active_x_32bit.exe) manually, choosing "Install updates automatically when available (recommended)" in the last step of the installation, as seen here:

When I open Control Panel -> Flash Player, under the "Advanced" tab I see:
"Install updates automatically" is chosen, but greyed out (no admin rights with this windows user)
ActiveX version: 11.2.202.228
Plug-In version: 11.1.102.63
The file "mms.cfg" under C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ contains:
AutoUpdateDisable=0
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1
The task "Adobe Flash Player Updater" was created and is scheduled to run every 1 hour. I can see that it is started ("last start time"), the result code is 0x0 which means "no error".
So everything as expected. But the auto update is not working, since the plugin version of flash player never gets updated!
I edited the "mms.cfg" and added:
SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging=1
After manually starting the task, there are some lines added to "FlashInstall.log" in the same directory:

Windows XP SP3, all windows updates installed, german
Avira Professional Security anti-virus software
Machine is behind a proxy server, but this is set up in Control Panel -> Internet Options
I suppose this is a problem with our proxy server. Does the auto updater not use the proxy information from the Windows Control Panel settings?

After reading of your sucsess I attempted to replicate it.
I am happy to say that I managed to update from Adobe Flash 11.2.202.228 to 11.2.202.233 on serveral different windows 7 notebooks and desktops sliently.
I went into the windows task scedular and ran the Adobe Flash Player Updater task (I didn't need to change anything in the task or the service for it to work).
The only issue I found was that if I ran the task again without restarting the computer no requests from the client would show up in the logs from my web server but if I restarted my computer and then reran the task it would work again. I'm assuming that it will only sent requests out every 24hours is talked about in page 18 of the Flash Player 11.2 Administration Guide.
My Web Servers logs look like this:

I think the biggest issue I had during testing was that I forgot to my web servers certificate into the windows certificate stores trusts root certs of my notebooks/desktops. EG: http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2012/04/rights-management-how-to-get-windows-7-to-trust-a -self-signed-server-certificate.html
I have since deployed the mms.cfg file and added my web servers certificate into the trusted root certs via group policy to all my clients and it is working very well. I have also writen a batch file to download the needed files from adobe for that backgroup updater and to put them on my web server. I created a daily task on my web server to run the batch file. If anyone wants the batch file or shell script please email me and I'll forward it on.
My batch file pretty much looks like this:

What exactly happened? It is not unusual to get error messages of there was problem downloading the update because the severs are very busy.

Flash player won't update/install/work/etc.

About a week ago my flash player apparently stopped working.
Sites like youtube, google video, none of these will work because
it says I need to update my Flash player. Everytime I try to
update, the installer runs, IE restarts, and the problem persists.
I have done this over 20 times, and it will not work.
I have used the uninstaller to take flash player off and
reinstall the newest version, but this does not work either. I have
done it at least 6 times with no results. I am running Windows
Vista, and when i run it in Safe Mode it works fine, but not on
normal booting... only safe mode. Are there any known programs or
malicious software that could be interfering with it functioning
properly? Or maybe another suggestion on getting it to work
correctly?

omg I have the same problem too, i swear ive tried almost
everything I can even think of, what happens for me is ill go to
install it and it will show that the adobe flash is trying to load
something but eventually it wont load and just repeats itself into
a loop trying to install it. ive tried reinstalling uninstalling,
playing with the registry, going into the activex folders and
messing around there and i cannot find why it wont let me install
it., I have windows XP home and using IE, but it works good on
Firefox.

Cs5 updates dont work

i just rebooted my imac and installed the hole cs5 new. but i cant update my cs5 with the adobe updater. after getting started the programm ends with a failure-message ''couldn't update the following products....''
since this problem i have to open a html file with dreamweaver always by klicking a second or a third time on 'open with'..... what is wrong?

i downloaded the cs5 dreamweaver update but no other result.
a new problem occurred: after opening the dreamweaver the exchange manager starts and failed to open the programm. i still have to click several times on a icon to open dreamweaver. but after a few minutes working and after renewing a change in the code the dreamweaver - programm ends suddenly.
i de-installated again the whole adobe cs5 and installed it again... again no other result: i cannot open dreamweaver without clinking several times on a icon......

Player bytesLoaded not updating, nor working

It's been awhile, so I updated to trunk 15369... but my MediaPlayer still isn't updating his bytesLoaded/bytesTotal, specifically LoadEvent.BYTES_LOADED_CHANGE and LoadEvent.BYTES_TOTAL_CHANGE.
I tried using a Timer, but the player.bytesLoaded/bytesTotal values never change even though it's clearly buffering and playing video. I noticed that a VideoElement exposes these properties, but my elements don't appear to have an API to get it, and I'm using playlists which abstracts things away from my player... and it seems MediaPlayer checks the traits anyway.
...confused... I just want to show a progress bar that shows the file downloading. How would you all suggest I do this?

You'll only get them for progressive HTTP, not HTTP streaming. Although HTTP streamed content technically "downloads", it's more similar to RTMP streaming in terms of experience (you can seek anywhere, anytime). So the bytesLoaded and bytesTotal (which are intended to support the creation of a download progress bar) don't apply in this case.

CS3 Library update not working properly

I am a long time Dreamweaver user and recently upgraded from
8 to CS3.
When I update a library item, (which is navigation for 10+
pages), DM asks me if I want updates the pages the library item is
on, let's call them page1.html, page2.html, page3.html, etc.. I
click "Update". DW goes to update the 1st page and asks if I want
to check it out. I click "Yes to all" and DW checks out the page
and then I get this message:
Dreamweaver is currently interacting with a server.
Since checking out a file requires interaction with a server
as well, Dreamweaver cannot currently perform this task.
Please try again when the server task is complete.
Under DW 8 when I clicked "Yes to all" DW would go and check
out all the pages the library item was on. CS3 updates only the
first page and the gives the previous message. Can anyone suggest
how to get CS3 to check out all the files like 8?
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and Adobe Master
collection.

I'm thinking there is a coding error in the page somewhere
that is causing
DW to throw the error.

Push Notification Problems in new Update dont work

Anyone else have this problem with hotmail?

If some push notification apps do produce sounds and badges, and other apps don't, this is due to the particular app server, not the phone. Not all apps actually have sounds and badges, even though they have settings for them.
If you know that a particular app does use these (i.e. they work on another iPhone), you can try deleting and reinstalling the apps, reseting your phone, reseting all settings, restoring from a backup and restoring as a new iphone.
