6131 Micro SD Card Problem

Hi everyone, really hope i can get help on this
I have a 128MB card in my phone which I have used perfectly fine until now.. In an options menu, i created a password for the memory card. Since then the card doesn't show in 'Gallery' where it should. There is no sign the card is even in the phone..EXCEPT
If I take the card in and out and go to Applications/Options/Memory Status it shows the phone memory, and also the card with (unformatted) beside it.
When I select the memory card the password prompt comes up, I type in the correct password, and it shows a message
"Memory Card Removed"
Please someone help me!

i do face the same problem but little different
i had 6131 earlier now i m using 6300 i had 1gb card in previous one and now my current mobile ie. 6300 is asking for the password which i never fed when i was using 6131. if you get any solution do let me know my PC also doesnt detect the car as it is now password protected.

i am getting "certifictae error.Contact application supplier" error after about 80% installation is complete on most of my .jar files on this nokia supplied micro sd card.i cud install some of these apps. earlier.( the phone is only 7 days old). the same apps. insatll without a hitch on the phone memory or on another Transcend sd card which i hv.i cannot format the card also as it has bundled songs on it.is there any particular file on it which can be deleted to remove the problem.

Nokia c1-02 micro sd card problem

I have a 4GB kingston class-4 micro SD card
In my old samsung corbypro in mass storage(connected via cable) mode the transfer speed is 3.8MB/s
In my new nokia c1-02 in mass storage(connected via cable) mode the transfer speed is just 0.8 MB/s and windows says "this device can perform faster" and suggests me to connect it to Hi-speed usb 2.0 port(all ports in my biostar ta790gxb motherboard are usb 2.0).
Its the same cable, same usb port and same memory card. Only the phone is different. I didn't get the windows suggestion in samsung corbypro.
I think the problem is with the phone. Maybe some firmware update in future will fix it. Or do I have to do something else?

It's nice if you have successed to update software. I have same problem as you but I can't even update firmware. You are lucky man even
I've tried to upgrade firmqare via Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia Software Updater but same problem, always show after ~2 minutes that PC lost connection with device. I've tried it in several computers and different Windows but same problem.
I would add one more interesting thing, at official site there's written that firmware update is possible also directly via phone by using "Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone Updates." but my phone doesn't have that option. Also doesn't have :
"Set auto-check on in 30 seconds
1. Select Menu > Applications > SW Update
2. Select Options > Settings > Auto-check for updates
3. Select On and OK."
By the way, I wanted to update firmware because I loose all sms messages from every folder when I restart device and restoring to factory default doesn't help. Also USB works slow "Device can perform faster" but I thought it's normal.

E90 micro SD card problem

Hi.
I've got Apacer 1 Gb micro SD card. Everything was working fine. But after I renewed the software of my Nokia E90, the micro SD cannot be found by PC with USB adapter. I thought the card crashed or smthng. So I bought a SanDisk 4Gb card. Firstly everything OK. After that I put this card to E90 card slot. Made some copyings. Back to USB adapter and again not working. My PC shows no card present in the adaptor.
Does anybody face the same problem?
Any solution for that?

I was facing the same issue
Got my card replaced several times and tried several times to hard-reset also but could not have this fixed until ... few hours ago
When I hardReset my phone, I setup the "remote lock by SMS feature" on the phone - which allows me to lock rapidly the phone if lost or whatever
Once done I test the feature (send myself an SMS and make sure it's properly setup)
Once locked, I just push the "unlock" button, enter my code and that's it
But did not pay attention to the message "Phone and Card locked"
So I went to "Memory" app on the phone and choosed "Option/remove password"
then entered the lockCode sent over SMS
And ... wouaaaahhhh I got my 8Gb back available via my standard diskReader
issue solved now

Toshiba 16gb micro SDHC card problem, please need help!

I didnt know where to post about this problem, so I just post it here. I bought few months ago Toshiba 16gb micro SD HC card for my android Huawei Acend G300 it worked fine for two months, in computer and in my phone, but yesteday after I listened music my android made restart by itself. I tought it was nothing so I went to sleep. But in the morning I saw that my mobile says that I have no sd card insterted into phone. I made restart to my phone, took battery out and took sd card off and put those back in, but still didnt find my sd card. Then I put my sd card into computer with micro sd card adapter but it cant find my sd card too. it doesnt reconize it. Please does anyone can help me with that? I had important stuff on that card,

I realize it's been quite awhile since your post but, did you ever get a response on how to correct the issue with your 16GB MicroSD HC card that 'died' suddenly? I ask because I had a similar issue. My card suddenly unmounted itself (it was in a Galaxy S3) then it just was 'gone'. Phone doesn't see it, pc doesn't see it...
From what I was able to determine it would appear that this card is history and unrepairable but was curious if you ever had any luck in either recovering data and/or getting the card to be useable again.

C7 Micro SDHC Card Problem

I am having problems with my Nokia C7 which fails to start after installing a Kingston Class 4 16 GB Micro SDHC card. The card works perfectly in other devices (including a Nokia 6120 Classic!)
The C7 works OK with a 2 GB micro SD card.
The card appears to be within specification and whilst a C7 is not listed on the Kingston website the card is approved for the C6 and various other earlier models.
Any suggestions on how to get the card to work would be welcome.

Try formatting the memory card. If formatting via phone not possible or its not working try Connect your phone to a PC via mass storage mode and try and format the memory card.

6131 Nokia Memory card problem

I've had a 6131 Nokia for over a year, in which time, the SanDisk 512mb MMC memory card has worked in it fine. For the last few days, my phone has intermittently not recognised the card, to the point where it's not acknowledging it at in the phone.
There doesn't seem to be a problem with the card - I've used it on my laptop through the card reader without a problem.
Could this be a problem with the phone, which I may have dropped about a fortnight ago?

5800 micro sd card problem, wont turn on!

After I uninstalled google maps (from my 16 gb memory card) my phone froze. I took out the battery and when I tried to
turn it back on I got the white screen and then black screen with all lights on but the phone would not turn on. I changed to my 8gb memory card and now the phone works fine! If I change the card to 16 gb while the phone is on it freezes again.
Is there anything I can do with my 16 gb card, can I format it or reset it within the phone?

there might be a corrupted file in the memory card that prevent the phone from starting correctly.
format the card using a pc, and then insert it to the phone and format it again. that should work.

Problem in 1GB micro memory card

hey, i'm using nokia 3120 classic. i have problem on my memory card. when i placed my 1GB micro memory card into my mobile. it show a message "Memory card not formatted". this problem occur when i was moving data from phone memory to memory card, i quit the transfer when it was in processed.

Certain cards can be buggy on any platform.
Sandisk seems to offer mac drivers to fix these sorts of issues. See if it applies to your model.

Problems inserting micro sd card

Hi, I've just bought a new micro sd card, but i'm having quite a bit of trouble fitting it.
Inside the slot, it looks like there is something already in there, possibly one of those dummy cards they put in there sometimes. However, its really quite far in and isn't accessible with my fingers (I've had a my girlfriend try with her tiny hands too). It also looks like the metal that makes up the shape of the port is bent
I've attached a picture, and i'm posting a video to youtube in the hope its easier to see what i mean on there
Anyone get any idea if thats how it's meant to look? Was there a dummy card in there when you first opened your port?

That does not look right. There should be no parts that is sticking out or similar in the MicroSD-port. I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have your phone examined by a technician. MICRO SD CARD. PROBLEMS

Hello everyone.3 days ago I purchased a Micro SD card from ebay. And it also came with Scandisk adapter. The little card for the Palm Centro that I have with Sprint says. Micro SD HC 4 Gb.The thing is that when I insert the card to the phone a message come saying the startup application for this card cannot be run. My question is, Do I need a something else like a setup or something to install to the Palm Centro that way the Card can run? Or the card is damage? I try to use the Palm Desktop and put some pictures in the media section and Sync the phone and it works. But when I insert the card the same message keep showing. Another thing is Ringtones. How I am suppose to get the ringtones in the phone if there is no option for add new ringtone. Any idea? I’m totally lost.

Have you tried formatting the card in your phone? Card Info icon/ open the menu and select Format.

Page 79 of the unlocked manual states you can email a ringtone to your phone, and it will give you the option to "Save as Ringtone".
There is also a large thread about ringtones in the Audio, Photo, and Video board.

I'm using a micro sd card inside USB adapter but it won't mount on my Macbook Air 2012

Really puzzled at the moment because I just purchased a Kingston 64GB Class 10 Micro SD card and it came with a USB adapter to plug into my mac. The problem is that it won't mount, I just get a pop up saying "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." I open up Disk Utilty and I get the following info:
Mount Point : Not mounted
Partition Type : Windows_FAT_32
Capacity : 67.11 GB (67,107,815,424 Bytes)
Everything else is blank. Does anyone know what Windows_FAT_32 is and how I can get my Micro SD card to work on my Mac? Also note that when I plug it into a Windows PC, it loads up fine and my Macbook Air is also running OSX Yosemite Dev Preview 6. Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated

Yes, you will not be signed in to update iCloud content, until you update your Apple ID on both devices. On the iPhone you will need to go into your settings>iCloud then tap your iCloud ID to sign out then sign in with your new Apple ID, on the Macbook you need to go into your system preferences then tap iClould sign out then sign in with your new Apple ID.

Patriot Micro SD Card

Hi,
I have 4gb Patriot Micro SD card. I am wondering how does it compare to other brands. I hear Sandisk is the best.
Sometimes when I open Maps there is no detail on map. I close application and then open again and the detail is there.
Have formatted card, Reinstalled software etc, but still it happens now and again.
Was wondering could it be the memory card?
Is Patriot a well respected brand??

To be honest I've never heard of "patriot" SDHC cards.
The problem you're describing could indeed be the result of an inferior product. If it was much cheaper than the equivalent from a leading brand, you know why now.
Both SanDisk and Kingston offer good products. I've also had good results with Crucial and Transcend.

Types of micro sd card + non english input language

Hello all,
I consider buying the Blackberry Passport but have a couple of questions. Please consider that I have never owned or tried a Blackberry before. Also it is not possible for me to try it out before buying it as they are not sold where I live.
Which class of micro sd card is supported? I would like to buy the fastest 128 gb available and, as I understand it, that would be a UHS-II class 3. However it seems that this card has some physical changes to it compared the previous versions so I'm not sure it will work on the BB Passport.
The physical keyboard has the disadvantages of not supporting non-english input. Will I be able to input non-english characters anyway? I imagine that they will appear at the top row of virtual keys, but I'm not sure.
