6220c - Cant pair device with car bluetooth?

I have been trying to pair my 6220c with my new car bluetooth (installed by factory in new car purchase, I dont know what brand).
I have tried other Nokia phones and they have worked perfectly, but I cannot for the life of me get mine to pair. I have checked all settings and everything seems fine but it still wont work.
Any ideas please?
Its a new phone and a new car so im desperate to get them to work together!
Cheers in advance

You did not say which car but most factory fitted car bluetooths can be very tricky to connect to.
For a start, I suggest you remove all previous pairings on both car and phone and start from scratch. Check that the bluetooth on the phoine and car are working by testing with other b luetooth devices. Also make sure you have the latest fiirmware on both car and phone. It would also be no harm to contact the car manufacturer for a list of compatible phones.

  • N86 8MP will not pair up with car bluetooth

Hello / Hi.  This is THE most frustrating and annoying time I have spent with a phone, and it makes me doubly detremined to go 'anything but Nokia' in the next few months.
Anyway, my N86 8MP is under warrantee so when it broke last week, the Australian Nokia Care people replaced it - and I picked it up today.  Got to my car and the darned phone will not pair up to the bluetooth in my car.  This is the second time I have had problems pairing up with this phone - the first being when I got the N86 five months ago.
N86 Phone will find all kinds of 'devices' including the Parrot Bluetooth in my VW car - it just will not 'pair'.  Now have about ten 'devices' on my N86 that it found while doing what the downloaded N86 instruction manual told me to do, and cannot delete any of them.  What I am copying and pasting below, taken from page 56 of the Nokia manual, just is NOT possible.  I mean one is not able to Delete any fool thing - there isn't even a 'delete' option on my phone.
To delete a pairing, select the device whose pairing you
want to delete and Options > Delete. To delete all
pairings, select Options > Delete all. If you are currently
connected to a device and cancel the pairing with that
device, pairing is removed immediately, and the
    connection is ended.
I have updated the phone software this evening - when supplied new to me by Nokia Care this morning, the phone was about two or more years behind in terms of software - but after downloading some 35 Mb an hour or two ago, it now has the latest version 30.009.  STILL I cannot pair my bluetooth.  STILL I cannot delete any of the devices my phone found earlier today.
Oh, by the way, I have tried three other brands of phones and all pair up with my car bluetooth.  So it's not the bluetooth device.
I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to have a new phone that dissapoints me as much as the one it replaced.  Oh, Nokia replaced my previous N86 because it wasn't charging the battery properly.
But I ned to get this fool phone to work - at least for now.  And it is SO frustrating when the
Nokia N86 8MP User Guide Issue 3.0 does not help - AND tells you to do things that my phone just cannot do - like go into Options Delete, when it doesn't exist.
So how DO I delete all the devices my phone found?
And how DO I get my phone to recognise and pair with my car bluetooth?
    Please help.
    Thank you SO very much.
    Pete

    Hi ganesh8888
Unfortunately the UDP = User Data Preservation feature of your device is working to your disadvantage here, whereas in days of old a firmware update would have wiped out settings. Provided that you backup essential data first you can then hard reset - hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and green (phone key) depressed and power on whilst keeping these three keys down until after Nokia "shaking hands" appears. This should return device to out of box state showing "select country".
Unfortunately you don't say which Parrot Bluetooth you are using but as example support here:http://www.parrot.com/tur/musterihizmetleri/musterihizmetleri/parrot-sk4000/compatibility/?idproduct...

  • Pairing 6300 with car Bluetooth

    Hi
I have just bought a car with Blue tooth and my 6300 pairs just fine. However, when I switch off the ignition I have to go through pairing all over again. This is driving me crazy - any ideas?

Try to go to the blue tooth menu & look for the option  authorized this(bluetooth device), have it authorize so it will not prompt for pairing all over again.
Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted!
If you find it helpfull, it's not hard to click the STAR..

    Hello there stidhambr15,
I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

  • IPhone 4s will not pair with car bluetooth

My new iphone 4s will not pair with the bluetooth in my 07 Volvo XC70. The blue tooth is after market, looks similar to internet photos of Motorolla T605. Blue tooth says to put in scan mode and then enter code when prompted. Pairing fails and then the screen for the code shows up on the phone.
I had a iPhone 3s paired with this Bluetooth, and once when I did a reset of that phone had this issue, put through many attempts it eventually paired. Despite many attempts, I cannot get the 4S running IOS 5 to pair.
The phone does pair with a motorolla bluetooth ear piece.

I've been having this issue since I got an iPhone 4S last week.  (Upgraded from iPhone 4 on iOS 5.0.1)
I would think that this is a software issue but I went ahead and visited an AT&T store to see about a replacement phone.  I was directed to go to an Apple store which I then did.  I explained this bluetooth issue I was having as well as the other issue with no audio on outbound calls (described in a different thread) and they gave me a new phone.
Well, I've tested it several times now with the nav/handsfree systems in two different cars as well as with my headset.  All is good so far!  No drop of bluetooth connection, can switch at will between audio sources and no lack of audio on outbound calls any more.  (And these problems were happening frequently before, even after a complete restore.)

  • Cant pair divice with macbook air

cant pair my iphone with my macbook air via bluetooth

I understand Apple does not monitor these forums. That is why, as I said, I already registered my complaint directly with Apple.
Why do I "expect it to change"? I don't expect; nor do I not expect. I'm neutral regarding expectations. I hope, however, as do many. And it's not an unreasonable request: given Apple's slogan "It just works", and their highly touted connectivity among all their devices, this seems a ridiculous exception that is a real inconvenience. Especially since, as I indicated above, USB connection doesn't help either.
Thank you for your suggested workarounds. However, they won't help me. To clarify: I need to print a hard copy of this PDF in the next two hours. I cannot print directly from my iphone. I could print from my computer, but obviously I need to get the document to my computer first. Wifi is temporarily unavailable where I am. There is no cable connection either. Therefore my computer is cut off from the internet, so I cannot check email from it. The only way to get the PDF onto my computer is to transfer it from my iphone. Since Apple does not support Bluetooth connection (which is ridiculous, as noted above), the only other way is via USB cable. But Apple does not support this either (which is even more ridiculous). So there is no way for me to get this PDF to my computer to print it out.
Apple should support both bluetooth and USB compatibility for file transfer between their devices. Judging by the number of discussions on this, it's neither an unusual nor unreasonable request.
I did find one workaround; one way I can get the PDF to the computer: from the iphone, open the PDF in ibooks; then sync with the computer via USB. This will import the file to ibooks on the computer. However, there is a problem: if I open the PDF in ibooks, it is automatically saved to icloud. This may not seem like a problem, but it is: some files — such as this one — are confidential; one may not want it in the cloud. In the case of this PDF, I could get in big trouble for allowing a copy to be in the cloud.
In general, I've noticed a trend (not just with Apple): as they add ways to use the cloud (which is good), they remove ways of doing the same tasks via older methods, e.g. via USB cable. In essence, one is forced to use the cloud. I've spoken with several Apple representatives about this, and it's almost as if they cannot comprehend why anyone would NOT want to use the cloud. They say "but now you don't have to use a cable; the cloud is much more convenient. And it saves a backup for you!" Of course the cloud is convenient, but for any number of reasons I might not want to use it. They should not force one to — they should not remove other simple options that were working just fine.

  • Plugging and unplugging earbuds with car bluetooth

I just bought a new iPhone 5C running 7.0.4 and paired it with my Honda's bluetooth for handsfree calling.  The problem is that if I start the car while listening to itunes with my earbuds as soon as the car pairs I can't hear my music anymore.  I have to plug and unplug my ear buds to get audio back through the buds.  The handsfree phone works great.  Are there any settings I'm missing?  Unplugging is a bit of a pain.  Any help would be appreciated.

That's because the car supports A2DP audio streaming. As soon as it makes the connection, it switches to the bluetooth audio streaming. Turn your stereo on and switch to the proper input. You should hear the music on your stereo.

  • Synching iPhone contacts with car Bluetooth.

I have a MB GLK 350 and an iPhone4 with iOS 5.  Each time I try to synch up my phone contact list with the bluetooth device, it disconnects from the bluetooth.  I can use the phone on hands free if I select a contact but it will not download the contacts.  Can anyone help me address this issue?

If the system supports the PBAP (Phone Book Access Protocol), contacts will upload automatically. If it does not, you can not transfer your contacts to the system.
Check the documentation for your in-car system.

  • Issues with Car Bluetooth and the 9630

    Hey guys,
Over at the crackberry forums there are many people reporting issues with the tour and car bluetooth.  Basically, for people that are syncing the tour with the bluetooth in their cars, people can barely hear them.  We can hear everyone just fine, but when talking the person on the other end reports that our voice is very low.  This is happening on VZW, Sprint, Bell and Telus, which leads me to belive this is an issue with the OS itself.  The link to the discussion at crackberry is http://forums.crackberry.com/f141/car-bluetooth-tour-issue-they-can-t-hear-me-well-267206/  I'm hoping someone from RIM cam comment on this or provide some help.  This is a VERY frustrating issue to Tour owners especially with so many places having "hands free" laws.
    Thanks!

    Greetings from Charleston!
I was using a Verizon 8830 World Edition until I upgraded to the Verizon Blackberry Tour on launch day July 12.  I never had any Bluetooth issues before and I'm not having any now.  As a matter of fact, I would say the quality is a tad better.  My volume is controlled by my car when the Blackberry is connected via Bluetooth and I've actually had to turn it down sometimes because it has been so loud.  I drive a 2007 Toyota Landcruiser.  I suspect it has less to do with the Blackberry than it does with the car.  Perhaps there's a Bluetooth software/firmware update necessary for some of your vehicles?
All in all, I love this new Blackberry!!
    Cheers!

  • Problem after iOS5 with pairing iPhone with Car

I have a Lexus is250 which paired beautifully with my iPhone and I was able to play music from phone in my car.  Since the upgrade, I cannot.  I have "repaired" "Blue tooth audio", the radio in car "looks" like it is playing (you can use the controls on the car stereo to forward through playlist and it forwards on phone" but no sound comes out.  This worked perfectly fine before iOS.  Any ideas?  I've deleted and re-paired phone twice....

Same problem here with a 2011 Subaru Outback/Harman Kardon sound system. My iPhone 3GS used to work very well and auto-connect with the Harman Kardon system under iOS 4, but after upgrading to iOS 5 the iPhone looses connectivity each time I power the iPhone off and back on. It will keep connectivity as long as I do not do this. Turning the car off and back on works fine, connectivity re-establishes immediately. I even reset my iPhone and re-installed firmware and everything else - problem persists. SHAME ON APPLE FOR LOOSING CORE FUNCTIONALITY IN FAVOR OF BRINGING IN LOTS OF GIMMICS THAT ARE OF LITTLE OR NO USE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. SHAME ON APPLE ALSO FOR NOT PROPERLY BETA-TESTING THEIR SOFTWARE AND MAINTAINING BACKWARD-COMPATIBILITY IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. We users should be entilted to monetary compensation from Apple whenever a software "upgrade" negatively affects a core functionality. Tim Cook, please correct some of the flawed corporate policies the belated Steve Jobs implemented. Apple still has a lot of room for improving! First of all, focus on optimizing core functionalities and their robustness before wasting time on changing icons or other cosmetic features.

  • Bluethooth  connects with car bluetooth but no sound. This problem started after up dating to IOS 8.0.2. Any suggestion to fix the problem?

    iPhone: 5s,
Problem started after IOS 8 up date.
Problem: Bluetooth connection with car indicated: connected.
Incoming call: no sound (caller's voice) from car speaker.
Out going call: no ring sound through speaker.
At random shows calling but can not hangup & no ring sound.
    Car: Infiniti G 37    2009.

I uploaded ios 8.0.2 on my iPhone 6 128 GB today 9-29-14 due to problems with Bluetooth talking to my ReSound Linx hearing aids to hopefully fix the problem. It sounds like the Bluetooth looses connection to the hearing aids and turns them off for about 1 1/2 minutes, then they come back on and I can hear again. I understand there are problems with Bluetooth and cars using the phone. I believe this Bluetooth problem is causing my hearing aid problem as my hearing aids connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth and the ReSound Smart App. I tried the reset fix, Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings as some have suggested but that did not resolve this issue either. I can't believe Apple is not talking about this ios 8.0.2 Bluetooth problem. This affects my everyday life in that I cannot hear when the Bluetooth drops.Try working with your hearing dropping every few minutes! If Apple wants in the Health field, I suggest they take their QA a little bit more serious than they are at present. Whomever was responsible for testing ios 8, 8.0.1 & 8.0.2 should be fired! This is causing more trouble than anyone can imagine. I understand the car - Bluetooth problem but think about the fact that if every time the Bluetooth drops, you can't hear.My job could be in jeopardy. I posted the problem to Apple Support and they will not even have the decency to respond with even a "we are sorry." How long do I have to go without being able to hear before Apple responds??????

  • Pairing n800 with a bluetooth headset

Anyone tries to pair their N800 with a bluetooth headset? Just wondering which bluetooth headset will work with N800

Tried to pair a bluetooth headset with the N800 and it did pair however I couldn't hear nor speak through the headset. I then found out via Nokia's FAQ that the N800 does NOT support the Bluetooth hands-free profile (HFP). It's too bad since I wanted to use Skype (voice over IP) with a wireless headset instead of the wired headset that came with the N800 (earphones keep falling out of my ears).
