6230 and PC Suite

Im having trouble with pc suite and my nokia 6230.
Even though it detects my phone, i cant browse my phone in "phone browser" or transfer any data, ie transfer music files using the "Transfer music" section or send any images in "create wallpaper", i get the error message "failed to update image/file to phone" but i can send text messages and transfer my contacts to and from the pc!!
I did read this similar problem elsewhere in the discussion section and someone mentioned firmware, sorry to sound stupid but i have no idea what that is.

OMG, that is exelent timing, I got myself a 6230i last week,(upgraded from 6610i) and have also been using the latest version of PC suite, until it all went pear shaped last Tuesday, when I couldnt do anything with it, apart from back-up. I had tried all I could, uninstall, reinstall, search the REG and delete anything begining with nokia,and even restorted the settings on the phone.I finally gave up on friday, Emailed nokia and went looking for another program, which worked fine, which meant it wasnt me, the P.C. or the phone.
I just happed to be brousing this forum, and there shinning in blue and white was the answer

SOA Suite 10g and SOA Suite 11g? what are the major changes in these two?

Few major changes to enlist are that SOA suite 10g was using Oracle Application Server (OC4J) however 11g is on Weblogic and 11g is based on SCA. B2B is now part of SOA suite itself and OSB can share a domain with SOA. You may refer below link to know few more -

Few questions about phone itself and PC Suit coope...

So I have 5610 XM phone with 09.40 firmware and PC Suite v 7.1.18.0...
As I understand it sync works like this 1. New event on the phone (like new sms) new sync. 2. New event on PC Suit (like replying to that sms you just got) sync again. PC and phone are connected using USB cable.
The prob is that when I get a new sms sometimes it takes ages to actualy see that I got it on the PC screen. Sometimes it syncs right away and next time it takes like 1 min. Same thing goes with replying. You just got a new sms and trying to reply... bang error shows up that the message can't be sent but if you try again 2 mins later it works fine again. Refresh messages button never help.
And btw everything is damn slow... not even mentioning that PC Suit can't read contacts from SIM card... only from phone memory..
So do I have a problem here of my own or it just works like that and I can go fck myself?

I too experience long delays in updating the messages pane, whether connected via USB or bluetooth. Sometimes it's quite quick.. But other times it can take 5 min to show up a new message. Generally I don't care because I don't reply to texts very quickly, much to the annoyance of friends, family..

Not necessary. But you may test your upgrade. We upgraded out of the place. By Inplace Upgradeyou may have backup for the fallback.

Failing to assemble Downloaded Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g

Hello,
I checked the download checksum of the files downloaded for Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g ( Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g ) and they all match checksums.
however, when I try to assemble them with 7zip, I get a corrupt error message. I have tried downloading with Chrome and Internet Explorer. I have also tried assembling the 7zip files different ways.
Is there anything else I should try?
Running on Windows 7, 64 bit machine. (with lots of disk space).
Is there any other way to get the files?

Hi everyone, got some questions..
1) Is it possible to download free Oracle 10g and Developer suite? is a 30 day license trial or something like that?
2) On windows systems which are the minimun requirements?, for example in a Pentium 4, 512Mb RAM, Windows XP Home edition is OK?
3) Should I download Standard Edition? Personal?
4) If I am trying to update my Oracle Developer knowledge (I was developer on 1999 with Oracle 7.3 and Developer 2000) what products do I have to install?? Oracle DB 10g, Developer Suite,Application Server too?, what else?

WSMAN CredSSP TLS 1.2 support and cipher suites

The protocol document [MS-CSSP] explains the first base64 encoded token send in the authenticate from the client to the server is a TLS Client Hello. The response is a ServerHello.
The diagram in section 4 'Protocol Examples' of the document indicates the ServerHello has a cipher suite of TLS_RSA_WITH_RC_128_SHA. The TLS version and cipher suites are not mentioned anywhere else in the document.
So lets take a look a network packet capture of a CredSSP authentication between a winrm.exe client and a Windows 2008 R2 server. I have base64 decoded the contents of the CredSSP Authorization headers,

The server responds with TLS 1.0 and selected cipher (0x00 0x2F)
TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA
Based on this I created a WSMan CredSSP client using Python and OpenSSL and configured it to use TLS 1.2. I found the Windows server always responded with TLS 1.0. So, I configured my OpenSSL client for TLS 1.0 and set the cipherlist to AES128-SHA (like winrs.exe).
The CredSSP TLS handshake completes, but the first ASN.1 encoded TSRequest token (containing an NTLM negotiate token) is rejected. However, if my openssl cipherlist is set to RC4, the TSRequest token is accepted and authentication is successful.
This raises several questions:
1. Despite sending a TLS 1.2 ClientHello the WSMan CredSSP Server always responded with TLS 1.0 ServerHello. A number of security experts consider this version effectivly broken. Does CredSSP support TLS 1.2?
2. I can authenticate with CredSSP using openssl 'RC4' cipher suites - but not with AES128-SHA suites. Are suites besides RC4 supported (winrs.exe appears to use AES).

Forum Update:
I can now answer my 2nd question. The reason CredSSP is rejecting my TSRequest token when using AES128-SHA is because this ciphersuite is using CBC.
Some years ago OpenSSL added empty fragments to SSLv3 and TLS 1.0 packets to address a potential security vulnerability. These empty fragments are not compatible with Microsofts SChannel implementation so Windows is unable to decrypt the data. OpenSSL added
a compatibility flag SSL_OP_DONT_INSERT_EMPTY_FRAGMENTS (0x00000800L) that must be set in the openssl client's context options to address this issue with Microsofts implementation. Once I set this option my python openssl client successfully authenticated
with a Windows 2012 R2 server using ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA - much better.
Question 1 is still unanswered. Is TLS 1.2 with CredSSP supported?

OSB and SOA Suite in the Java Cloud

Hi All -- the question is rather to a technical support personnel of the Oracle Cloud,
Is it possible to deploy and run the OSB and SOA Suite applications on the Oracle Java Cloud? To be more precise:
1. Is the WL server in the cloud configured to contain the Oracle Soa Suite?
2. Is the WL server in the cloud configured to contain the Oracle Service Bus?
If not: would it be possible to configure the Cloud WL domains the way that these are supported?
What we need are two servers (or two clusters): a SOA Suite application runs on one, while the OSB application runs on the other.

there will be convergence of the 2 products that basically address 2 different use cases (see Statement of Direction).
In my opinion new tools will be added to Jdeveloper to develop and deploy on Oracle Service Bus (OSB). In present OSB version, OSB tools are not part of Jdeveloper and transformations use XQuery instead of XSLT (as for Oracle ESB).

Lotus Notes 8.02 and PC Suite 7.0.8.2 sync problem

I use Lotus Notes 8.02 and PC Suite 7.0.8.2 both US English.
When synchronizing everything is in sync except for the emailaddress, this field is not synchronized.
Is there some kind of 'fieldmapping', ini or reg file that can be changed to include this field? Or is it a bug?
