6230i HELP unable to connect to PC
Hope this is posted in the right support group?
Running XP Pro SP2,
I can no longer connect my 6230i to pc suite No matter what suite I try and install, keep getting error that, there is no available connection type and therefore the connection to phone cannot be established.
Can anyone help to get this sorted out? I have tried PC suites from 6.84.10.3 then 7.0.7.0 then my last hope 7.1.18.0 not one of them can get me connected to my PC. Have uninstalled them using nokia pc suite cleaner, cleaned registry for any leftovers, but no luck with any new installation.
It seems that I am not the only one to have this problem by the list of entries about this but have not come across any solution so far. Thought I would try and get someone to help solve this, before I sell the phone and get one that will work with this PC.

Hi.. A few people have had this problem.. I have found the following to be the best solution for this
Remove the PC suite and Nokia Software Updater form your PC and run Nokia's PC Suite cleaner

Then reinstall the latest version of the PCS & NSU applications and this should remove the issue

I am unable to connect my imac to the internet. I tried to connect direct to the ETHERNET, and I am having ip address assigned problem on ethernet and also on my airport extreme, it said no internet connection or no DNS server. Please help . My internet provider is brighthouse and I just have a technician guy come to check it out and they can't fix it either. I have other laptop and I connect the ethernet directly and it work for my other laptop so I know it is not the internet provider problem, but my IMAC doesn't work. I hope I don't have to do a full recovery on my imac as I have a lot of info need to backup and I hope someone can help beside doing the full recovery.

hello, my problem is that i have 2 computers at my house, mine and my mom's. my mom's computer is use the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router, and my uses the Linksys RangePlus Wireless Network USB Adapter that wirelessly connects with the Router. Lately its been unable to connect, when i go and try to reconnect i get other connections but not my moms. I got another Wireless Network USB and tryed that, and still wont connected...
so my question is... what can i do to connect my wireless adapter and rounter again?Are you able to see the network name of your router ?
If yes, then what's the error message are you getting when you are trying to connect to the wireless network. -
Need Simple help: Unable to Connect to Internet
Our Airport Express broke, which was the home hub for our 3 other computers. We replaced it with an Airport Extreme, followed the installation. However, now we cannot get it (as the base station) to connect to the Internet. It seems set up but opening Firefox, it cannot find the Internet. However, if we plug the wire from the Comcast modem directly into our Ethernet Port, everything works fine. There are a number of tech posts in this forum but they are way above my head in terms of following them, (ie DNS, etc.) Is there any simple solution we can follow? Thanks.
You've plugged the ethernet cable form the modem to the correct port, (WAN-which is identified by the circle of dots), on the Airport right?
Anyway if I remember rightly once connected to the modem and powered on, press and hold the reset button on the back of the AE Basestation for about 10 seconds. Then release and wait. A new network should be visible, probably called something along the lines of Apple Network 300962.
Connect to it and then open Airport Utility. From there set up your network, (change the name, hide the SSID if you like, add encryption etc etc).
Now when the Basestation restarts I don't think the Mac will connect automatically as you've just altered all the details. So go to System Preferences>Network and choose a new location to set up. Click the advanced tab under the Airport pane and click the + box.
Add your network and check the Remember any network this computer has joined checkbox.
Click OK and then apply..............

I have a macbook laptop. When I go to open firefox it opens but when I try to get into a website such as www.yahoo or any other, a menu pops up and says it is unable to connect to the server check your internet connection or if u have fire wall check to see if it is set for firefox to connect. I have never had this problem before. All of a sudden it does not want to work and I need firefox to work.

Since updating my ipad to iOS 6 a few days ago i can't seem to get onto the internet, the app store or itunes, nor can i update to iOS7!! I sent an email to apple support and they said we don't handle these issues and redirected me back to the help forums which i have already seen and tried everything other people have suggested and nothing has worked (changing date, signing in/out of itunes etc). When i go to app store the screen is blank, in itunes it just keeps saying loading but never gets anywhere and same with the internet! When i go to settings to update to iOS 7.0.4 it says software update unavailable, try again later. Not sure what to do now. Nothing works, can't use my apps, facebook, music etc. Will contact apple again and try get some answers. But thanks for any info

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
My ipod 4G won't connect to my wifi at home with new router. Says "unable to connect" and won't give me any other options. Have tried resetting network connections. I don't want to lose anything. I have tried turning everything off and back on again. Desktop and laptop are working fine. Sometimes it turns on suddenly and I can use it for like 20 mins but then shuts off again. Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My Firefox automatically updated to Firefox 8. Since doing so, when I open the browser the screen displays a box saying 'Unable to connect' and says the same for any website. My internet connection is fine. I uninstalled and installed Firefox again, but problem persists. Please help as this is really frustrating me :(

ThanksUninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.
