6230i - Unable to edit voice mailbox number

I am unable to edit my voice mailbox number, the operation is "Not Allowed" has stated by my phone.
I have resorted to adding the voice mailbox number to my phonebook and assigning it another speed dial number.
Any suggestions for unlocking the correct feature?

I have this problem too. I've just changed my contract to a new operator. They tried to send a service message to update the mailbox number but this failed. I am also unable to manually enter the number as with the user above.
I spoke to Nokia yesterday and they advised me to visit a Nokia Care Provider (carphone warehouse) to update the firmware. I've done a search or two and it seems this is a known issue with v3.70 firmware, which I have had on my phone since I bought it about 3 years ago.
So I went to Carphone Warehouse today and they said they would charge me £44 for the privilege of updating the firmware of the phone. That's got to be wrong. To my way of thinking, either Nokia or the Carphone Warehouse (who sold me the unit initially) should take responsibility for ensuring the goods they sell are in proper working order. So how can I get my firmware updated?

I inadvertantly entered an incorrect voice mailbox number, i.e. I put in 123 instead of 121, and now I do not know how to change it. Consequently whenever I press the shortcut for voicemail (1) I get the speaking clock! can anyone help?

  • Not being able to remove the voice mailbox number ...

    Hello
I would like to ask you guys here at Nokia why you can't remove the voice mail box phone number after setting it the first time. Why is it so?
To reproduce this "bug" go Menu -> Messaging -> Voice call messages -> Voice mailbox no.
    Set the voice mailbox number.
Then, try to restore the settings to what it was originally.
    It won't work.
I have tried this on several newer Nokia phones.
Why is it so? Could "OK" maybe move to the left soft key? No. Of course not.
Did you know everyone doesn't have voicemail?
Therefore some users use the 1 key as any other quick dial key.
I suppose that in any good user interface you should be able to restore a setting to it's original setting. Not being able to do so without any warning of some kind is simply ridiculous.
If there is some other limitation that prevents you from doing this, please let me know.

    Why is nobody answering this?
I would be very happy to discuss this.

  • Unable to edit the tracks number

Having updated iTunes 12.01 with Yosemite 10.10.2 I'm unable to edit the tracks number, as I used to do, select a song then get info and edit whatever I want, everything looks fine except the possibility to edit the track number. Any thought?

You can still edit the track number ... it just involves a scrolling action with the new iTunes.
Go to the song's "Get Info" as you used to do.  Once you open the "Details" tab, scroll down to reveal the track number which you can edit.

  • Unable to Edit Number Locked In Speed Dial Position

All my Speed Dial listings were ported over to a new 8900 from an 8300.  I also changed carriers.  Coincidentally, I had my old carrier's voice mail access number programmed into the "W" position in the Speed Dial list on the 8300.  That number is now in the "W" position on the 8900, which is the default position for the voice mail access number on the 8900.  I am unable to delete the old number so I can enter my new carrier's voice mail access number.  There is no EDIT option for that position, but the EDIT option is available for all other numbers in my Speed dial list EXCEPT the position Q, which has a default feature "Change Profile to Vibrate."  It would be nice to know how to delete that feature, too.  Can anyone help?

    There are three keys preassigned
    A Lock System
    Q Change to vibrate
    W Voicemail
You can change this ones, but if for any reason you reset the device, the preassigned keys come back
To change this go to phone, press menu, view speed dial list, go to the A (for ex), press enter, and choose the contact you want.
Remember to create a new contact called Voicemail or something like that to change the Voicemail Key.
If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.

  • Why am I unable to edit some Smart Mailboxes

I have used Smart Mailboxes for some time but have found recently, when I wish to add a new criterion, that I am unable to edit some of them.
The 'flap' simply fails to appear.
Some newly created boxes can be edited and some can't.
I am unable to find a difference between those I can edit & those I can't edit.
I loaded the recent [Dec 22nd] update to Mail in the hope that that would solve the problem but it didn't.
I would be very glad of help or advice.

    Mark,
I'm not sure that what you are experiencing is necessarily a glitch otherwise one would assume that others would have made the same complaint. Having said that when you updated to 10.5.6 did you do that via Software Update or did you explicitly download either the Combo or Update?
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_6_ComboUpdate (668Mb)
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_6Update (372Mb)
The reason I ask is that there have been some problems reported by users as a result of performing the update via Software Update and when they have subsequently downloaded the Combo and installed that, the problems have been overcome. I downloaded the Combo at the outset given that I had experienced minor software update problems on previous occasions so erred on the side of caution.
If you choose to download one of the above then before installing you should repair disk permissions and then do a backup.
You can provide feedback to apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • IPCC calls went to voice mailbox while dialing the TOLL FREE NUMBER

    Hi All,
We have an Cisco Call Manager & an IPCC server through which the cisco agent desktop users login & receives calls from the client. As you know the calls will route based on the Agents Login Activity/Availability. The clients dials the Toll Free number 866-123-4567 & the calls in-turn will route to 410-123-4567 & lands to one of the Cisco IP Phone IPCC extension.  Unfortunately today between 0700 & 1030hrs EST, all the clients whomsoever dials the toll free number, the calls goes to the voice mailbox & not to any of the Cisco IP Phone extension. The mystery is, when the client dials 410-123-4567, the calls will land to Cisco IP Phone IPCC extension to one of the user which is normal.
Problem while dialing to the toll free number. Any ideas/clues? No changes made on the CCM/IPCC in the recent days.
The issue happened today between 0700 & 1030hrs EST as mentioned earlier.

    Hi Abu,
I use CCM-ver.4.1. I did not set any call forward option. Here is how the actual call takes place.
Client dials -> 866-123-4567 or 410-123-4567 & then dials the extension 3319 for the support team. 3319 will inturn route to 4319 & looks in for any agent logged in & then routes the calls to their cisco ip phone extension.
    Client -> 866-123-4567 -> 3319 -> 4319 -> 5101 or 5102 or 5103
    Client -> 410-123-4567 -> 3319 -> 4319 -> 5101 or 5102 or 5103
866-123-4567 is the toll free number which will be forwarded by the Telephone service provider to 410-123-4567 (866-123-4567 -> 410-123-4567)
From the PSTN, the calls land on to the cisco router codec used on the CCM is G.711

  • Unable to edit personnel number in bp transaction

    Hi experts,
I have a employee which is created by an idoc from another system with number starting from 0H. When i go to this employee in BP transaction, if i go to identification tab and try to edit the personnel number, it is not editable. My requirement is to assign the personnel number of this employee to another employee by removing the personnel number from here. If i try to assign the personnel number of this employee to another employee, it says personnel number already been assigned.
How can i remove the personnel number from this employee and assign the same to another employee?. Usually in bp transaction, the personnel number is editable i see.
    Any helps appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Faisal,
I am facing a very similar issue.  That is, I want to edit the Personnel number on an Employee business partner in CRM, which was created when the employee was downloaded from ECC.
Specifically, just like you, I want to remove the Personnel number from one Employee BP, and maintain that Personnel number on a second Employee BP (both BPs were created by replication of employee data from ECC).
Did you ever find a solution for this?
(The reason I want to do this, is that a duplicate Employee BP was inadvertently created when sending an org model transport to CRM production and then subsequently running PFAL in ECC production.)
    Thanks,
    Jeremiah

  • [SOLVED] Unable to determine major/minor number of root device - USB

I installed Arch on a USB harddrive of mine from within VirtualBox with the intention of running the installation (via the drive) on a laptop in my house. I passed through the drive through by creating a special vmdk (here - it's for "expert users only". ) and installed Arch on it by booting off the Arch 2011.08.19 iso and following the instructions. I do recall the installer complaining because /sbin/mkinitcpio was missing, so I copied over the one from the host (which is also an up-to-date Arch system). After that, everything worked and I was able to boot the drive within virtualbox.
Then I went and plugged it in to another laptop in the house and, surprisingly (for me at least), it got past GRUB. My joy was short-lived, because it failed just a bit later:
    :: Running Hook [udev]
    :: Triggering uevents...done.
ERROR: Unable to determine major/minor number of root device 'Waiting 10 seconds
    for device /dev/disk/by-uuid/[the uuid] ...
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/(the uuid)'.
You are being dropped to a recovery shell
Type 'exit' to try and continue booting
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
    [ramfs /]#
So I googled around for a while and plugged it back in to my computer, booted it up in virtualbox, and added "usb" to the HOOKS array right after udev in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf. Then I rebuilt the initramfs:
    # mkinitcpio -p linux
So I plugged it back into the laptop, booted it, and got the same error.
Later, in an attempt to isolate the problem, I removed "sata" from HOOKS, ran the same mkinitcpio command again, and rebooted the VM. I got what looked like the same error as the one above. yay. So I guess the usb hook isn't being loaded or something like that. (I've since added the "sata" hook back and rebuilt the initramfs so I can mess around in the VM )
I've tried removing autodetect from HOOKS (saw that in some threads) and trying different USB ports on the laptop, but nothing seems to be working. I also checked to see if virtualbox was providing a bogus uuid or something, but the one it's specifying seems to be correct - I looked in my computer's /dev/disk/by-uuid and it matched.
Info on the drive (first partition is /boot, second is swap (derp!), third is /, and fourth is /home):

    # The following modules are loaded before any boot hooks are
    # run. Advanced users may wish to specify all system modules
    # in this array. For instance:
    # MODULES="piix ide_disk reiserfs"
    MODULES=""
    # BINARIES
    # This setting includes any additional binaries a given user may
    # wish into the CPIO image. This is run first, so it may be used to
    # override the actual binaries used in a given hook.
    # (Existing files are NOT overwritten if already added)
    # BINARIES are dependency parsed, so you may safely ignore libraries
    BINARIES=""
    # FILES
    # This setting is similar to BINARIES above, however, files are added
    # as-is and are not parsed in any way. This is useful for config files.
    # Some users may wish to include modprobe.conf for custom module options
    # like so:
    # FILES="/etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf"
    FILES=""
    # HOOKS
    # This is the most important setting in this file. The HOOKS control the
    # modules and scripts added to the image, and what happens at boot time.
    # Order is important, and it is recommended that you do not change the
    # order in which HOOKS are added. Run 'mkinitcpio -H <hook name>' for
    # help on a given hook.
    # 'base' is _required_ unless you know precisely what you are doing.
    # 'udev' is _required_ in order to automatically load modules
    # 'filesystems' is _required_ unless you specify your fs modules in MODULES

    ## This setup specifies all modules in the MODULES setting above.
    ## No raid, lvm2, or encrypted root is needed.

    ## This setup will autodetect all modules for your system and should

    ## This is identical to the above, except the old ide subsystem is
    ## used for IDE devices instead of the new pata subsystem.
    # HOOKS="base udev autodetect ide scsi sata filesystems"
    ## This setup will generate a 'full' image which supports most systems.
    ## No autodetection is done.
    # HOOKS="base udev pata scsi sata usb filesystems"
    ## This setup assembles a pata mdadm array with an encrypted root FS.
    ## Note: See 'mkinitcpio -H mdadm' for more information on raid devices.
    # HOOKS="base udev pata mdadm encrypt filesystems"
    ## This setup loads an lvm2 volume group on a usb device.

    Perfect! Thank you!
Would it be safe to copy over the version from HEAD into my mkinitcpio?
EDIT: nevermind, derp derp the package is updated
    EDIT again: Actually, it's not.
I copied over the init_functions in HEAD into /lib/initcpio/init_functions and rebuilt the initramfs. It worked!
    Thanks guys!

  • Function Module "RSDRD_SEL_DELETION" / Unable to edit selection

    Dear experts,
I am currently working on FM "RSDRD_SEL_DELETION". I am testing it in SE37.
However, when I try to enter selection I_THX_SEL, it tells me:
    Unable to edit the object
    Message no. MO704
    Diagnosis
You tried to edit an object that cannot currently be edited using the editor for complex objects. Possible causes:
The object is an object reference
The object is a hashed table
    The object list a string
The object has the type REF TO DATA
    The object contains object references
    The object contains hashed tables
    The object is a string
    The object contains strings
A subcomponent of the object has a width that exceeds 65,000 characters.
Can anyone tell me how to make it work?

Sorry! The code was meant only as example, as I would convert it. The names of the infoObjects are naturally differently. It concerns to me rather the understanding whether the data records are deleted individually in each case. Or all those the conditions of <b>NUMBER</b> fulfill and all those the conditions of <b>DATE</b> fulfill. I would like to delete however only the data records, which fulfill these conditions together.

  • User unable to edit contacts

I have a user with Outlook 2013 connected to an 2010 Exchange Server. I have a user that is unable to edit any existing contact, getting an error: Your changes cannot be saved because you don't have permission to modify some or all of the items in this folder.
Do you want to save a copy of this item in the default folder for the item?
I have checked the permissions on the mailbox folder as well as the Contacts folder. The user has "Owner" permission to these folders.
No other users report the problem, and loading the users account on another computer demonstrates the same problem.
Any ideas what I am missing?

    Hi,
The error indicates that the issue is related to permission. I recommend you use the Get-MailboxPermission -Identity xxx |fl cmdlet to check if the permission is right. What's more, please check if OWA has the same issue.
If the issue persists, I recommend you remove the owner permission at first. Secondly, use the following cmdlet to add the owner permission and check the result.
    Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "xxx" -Owner "xxx"
    Hope it helps.

I bought the CS6 Design Standard student and teacher edition over amazon. I activated the product on my adobe account and got a serial number. But when I install the package and enter the serial number I a message saying "We are unable to validate this serial number for Creative Suit 6 Design Standard. Please contact Customer Support."
Does anyone know what is up with this? I am sure that the problem isn't anything along the lines of making mistakes when typing in the serial (tried it multiple times, used copy paste to reduce chance of error). It's also not any problem with me lacking an internet connection adobe to validate the serial.

  • Admins are unable to edit all sites?

    Hello and help!
We have designed three websites, all under the same site plan. From the admin panel, the admin is able to edit both site 1 and 2, but not site number three. Right now, we have
A-Master (admin is able to edit)
B-Master (admin is able to edit)
C-Master (admin is able to edit)
D-Master (admin is unable to edit)
A, B and C Master all have links that lead to D-Master, but you are unable to click on them from the admin panel, only edit them. D-Master DOES have it's own domain name. Does this make a difference? A, B and C master are all under the same domain. Keep in mind, D-Master was designed under the same site plan.

  • HT201436 What is my mailbox number for my voicemail??

I have tried to set up my voicemail on my iPhone4s and it continuously asks for a mailbox number. I have tried everything from 0000 to my number to the last 4 digits of my number and none of these seen to work. Does anyone know what the mailbox number is??

If you're in the U.S. and have a personal (not employer issued) iPhone, I recommend trying the 10 digit area code- telephone number combination.
Again, if that doesn't work, contact your cellular carrier.  They have to enable your account for visual voicemail.
Another thing you could try (in the U.S.) is dialing your voice mail box by pressing and holding the number "1" on your telephone's keypad.  See if you can get to your voicemail that way.  I know AT&T in the U.S. can sense that and set up your visual voicemail from that point (if it's been properly set up on your cellular account).

  • Cannot seem to delete voice mailbox - phone is still lit up red

I have CUCM and Unity both are 8.6 and I moved an extension and deleted the vm mailbox and vm on this extension.  The problem is the phone handset is still red even after unplugging it and reregistering the phone.  How can I fix this?  We dont need a voice mailbox on this extension.  Any help would be great.  Thanks

    Hi there,
    I agree with Sreekanth (+5)
In  CUCM look up the MW-Off number (Feature>Voicemail>Message  Waiting>Directory Number>Message Waiting Indicator Off )
This  will be a Directory Number like perhaps 2600. Go to the phone, press  the Line button, dial 2600 and the MWI Lamp/Icon will turn off.
Or if you need to do this via remote then you can temporarily re-create a mailbox for the DN in question. Get it set up, send a test message, listen to and delete the message, then wait a minute before deleting the mailbox and you should be good to go.
    Cheers!
