6230i WEB help

Hi I just purchased a 6230i. Before this phone, I had a N70. The N70's web was perfect. every site i tried worked. Even the applications I downloaded like Opera Browser, Gmail, and Google maps worked fine. However, when i tried to use these applications on my 6230i, it says that i need a connection in order to work. I had all the Connection Settings sent to my phone. The Nokia Web Browser can only handle Nokia.com sites and my applications can't seem to connect to the internet. If anyone out there knows how to fix this, PLEASE HELP! It is quite weird that i can download and install all those applications, but i can't use it. I have T-Mobile USA.

You need the right ISP installed and selected under Settings>Configuration>Preferred Access Point. This is completely separate from the browser connection.

  • RoboHelp 9 Will Not Compile Web Help

    Windows 7 Professional 640-bit
    Microsoft Office 2010
    RH 9.0.2.271
I have several projects for which I compile Web help.
Compiling the projects has been no problem in the past.
I have made no known changes to the computer or user rights.
Now, RH stops responding when the compile starts. The stop is very early in the process.
    I can compile CHM files.
In Output View, I see the following message:
    Initializing complier
    Generating Webhelp 5.50 (9.0.0.228)…
Error: Can not register active script for language javascript
Template Error: can not resolve macro: RegisterResolvers
Fata Error: Cannot run macro: Register Resolvers in compilation.
While searching for an answer, I tried the following without success:
Note: I am an administrator on the computer. I have always been an admin on the computer.
I have not uninstalled/reinstalled RH so there should be no issues with administrator privileges.
I ran the RH executable as an administrator using a variety of methods like right-click RoboHTML.exe and click Run as Administrator.
    Project is on local drive.
    Created a new project.
Compiled the sample projects contained in RH.
    Created a new SSL.
Create a new target folder for the output.
Copy the LNG file from the "!Language\<current-project-language>" folder to the project folder.
From the project settings dialog, change the project language to a different language, and then change it back to the current language.
    Deleted CPD file.
    Deleted !Language! folder.
Word macro security is Enable all macros.
Can anyone help me find something I have not tried.

First I have often found that Deactivate becomes enabled if you wait a while after opening.
Search on these two lines from your first post.
Template Error: can not resolve macro: RegisterResolvers
Fata Error: Cannot run macro: Register Resolvers in compilation.
(Was it really Fata rather then Fatal?)
Maybe you haven't changed rights but have IT done so without your knowledge?

  • Robohelp 9 crashing when generating Web Help

Hi there, I have RH V 9.0.1.232 installed. I have a project with about 1000 files which was converted from RH 8 without issue until now.
There are 3 Conditional Build Tags. I can publish the project to Web Help with layouts including tags #1 and #2, but when I include #3 in any layout, RH crashes at the same point every time, as shown below:
I have tried leaving it for over an hour without change. When I open Task Manager, RH is listed as "Not Responding." I do not get an error message at all. I have not generated this layout in several months, and possibly not since I have had RH 9.
Tag #3 must be applied to hide content from a public audience. This tag is applied to several sections in every topic, and is also applied at the topic level for about 20% of the topics.
Here is what I've tried to do:
    1. Create a test project with multiple tags and publish to WebHelp - no issue found.
    2. Rolled the project folder back to an earlier version from yesterday morning - problem still exists, could try an earlier version but a lot of work was done yesterday.
    3. Followed the instructions here, which have served me well in the past - problem still exists- http://www.techfuels.com/software-jargons/29202-repairing-corrupted-robohelp-project.html
All of this leads me to think there is something wrong with the tag in particular. I could delete the tag, create a new one and reapply it, but that would be a major challenge considering the number of topics I'm dealing with, and I am the lone writer.
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas or has had problems like this in the past, I would appreciate your time.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

Michelle I think that whilst thanks are always welcome, in this case you should thank yourself. All I did you get you to question what had changed. You did all the hard graft. Glad you got it sorted.

    Hi,
    It should be accessing :- http://<planning server>:8300/HyperionPlanning/help/en/hp_information_map/hp_information_map.html
Can you access that address on the machine hosting planning?
The file structure on the web server depending on which app server you use should be something like \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\help\en\hp_information_map\hp_information_map.html

  • Is it possible to open web help as a normal new tab and not as pop-up?

    Hello,
Is there a way that I can open context-sensitive web help in a new normal tab instead of having it as a pop-up so we can get rid of the pop up blocker?
    Thank you,

This is set from the calls. Depending on precisely how your developers are calling the help, a small change in your output may be required.
You can give the following pages to your dev:

  • Images in my FrameMaker 10-sourced Robohelp Web Help project are turning out as blank JPEGS appearing as blank spaces in the final output. How can I fix this?

I'm attempting to create online help sourced from a FrameMaker 10 book using Robohelp 9 and Web Help (primary layout).
The text is interspersed with numeorus small icons which, in the FrameMaker documents, are .bmp images inserted into anchored frames in the lines of text.
Most of these icons were imported by reference into the FrameMaker book's chapters. Some were copied from another FrameMaker book and pasted into the present book.
Many of these images are turning out blank in the finished Help project.
Robohelp seems to convert these images into JPEGS.
In the source FrameMaker book, the images which appear OK in the Help project have Object Properties including: Facets: FrameVector   JPEG ... Referenced File: No File
The images which appear blank have different object properties there: Facets: DIB ... Referenced File: (address of the image's source file)
How can I fix this and make all of the images appear in the Online Help?

Sorry, Jeff. I missed the key word in your instructions. Well, I did the import and still no luck. I'm getting the exact same results with the same images. (In some cases, I'm even getting hidden conditional text from the FM document body showing up in the image's frame instead of the image! See below.) This is bizarre behavior, but it's not new with the import. It is happening both in the linked and imported WebHelp with the same exact images. (Just another piece to complicate the puzzle.) So we have some jpeg images that are blank, and a few that are glitchy. From what I can tell, the commonality, besides the fact that all these new images are in jpeg format instead of gif format, is that all the blank and glitchy images are in a text inset. I'm beginning to think maybe RH just doesn't support text insets at all.
Arnis, I'll have to ask my colleague how she created the images next week when she's back from vacation. I have no clue if there are any differences between the jpegs and why some are showing up correctly. What do you mean by "compression type or level?" Are you asking about the resolution (high, medium, low) she chose when saving the images, or which program she used to do the screen capture and editing? (We have Adobe Photoshop CS5 and FM 11).
My next step is to copy-paste all the content from the text insets into my FM document (in the book I am linking) and re-render to see if that solves the problem. It will make single-sourcing impossible because I'll have to copy-paste the new content and images my colleague creates into my document each time we do an update, but oh well.
Here is an example of a glitchy image in RH:
And here is what it looks like in FM:
    So bizarre!

  • Photoshop web help is illegible

Adobe seem to have no interest in people with poor eyesight. Photoshop 6 has arrived with the same tiny icons are CS5. Worse, the web help is completely illegible, even with a magnifying glass. It is presented as gray on gray, with a font that is somehow blurred and which will not zoom.
This page will, however, zoom; but my browser spell check is suppressed. Elsewhere on this site, the font size is or is not fixed, and varies wildly from what looks like six point gray up to the title bar on this form, which is about 30 point, and so far too big for its intended purpose.
Has anyone found how to over-ride this, as it renders Help utterly useless?

Haven't you heard?  Thin and small are in.  Fashion doesn't need to be practical.  Or so they think.
Not only are the often tiny fonts presented in poor size and color choices, but the faces differ from place to place as well on the same page.  And their own AdobeCleanRegular font is so poorly designed that words in italics sometimes appear to run into the words that follow.  Add to that the fact that AdobeCleanLight doesn't visually work with AdobeCleanRegular at all!  Who "designed" this stuff?
I'm specifically choosing Verdana 12 point for the rest of this message - assuming this brain damaged editor does what I tell it.
Adobe clearly has lost most of the talent from their web development programming staff.
This appears to reflect a failure by management to realize that the visible public face of their company on the web says a lot about them.  Individual problems can be overlooked, but such obvious problems that run across an entire company must be funding-related and/or cultural.
What's astonishing is that Adobe proposes to be the expert supplier of software to people who are creating web content, while simultaneously appearing utterly incompetent in doing so themselves.
People may think I'm being harsh; insulting even.  These problems have been going on for years!  The time is long past for politeness, and the good guys know who they are and know I don't mean to insult them.

  • RH8 web help not displaying in IE9

    Hi all,
We've just encountered a problem where a customer could not open web help created from RH8 in the IE9 browser.
    To quote the reportee...
"IE reports 'the address is not valid'.
But, this only happens when calling the help files using the server name, if you call the files using localhost or using the IP address rather then the computer name, then they work. And if you edit the file in Word you get the error 'DTD is prohibited'."
    Anyone have any thoughts?
BTW I currently have to run IE8 as I am still on xp and RH8
    Regards
    Steve

Thanks, but I don't have that folder, nor the one listed here for 2014: Re: Source Sans Pro not displaying in 'Design' mode

  • RH 7 WEB Help: Hyperlink to external file will not activate file

I have added an external file (Excel spreadsheet document) to my RH 7 WEB Help.
    * The Excel file is located in the Project Manager
    * The hyperlink contains the correct file name
    * The generated WEB Help folder contains the Excel file
However, when I test the external file link, the external (Excel) file does not open.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Jerry Christensen

    Hi there
LIkely Mark Of The Web (MOTW) is nailing you. When you test locally and have MOTW enabled, links to things like Excel, Word and PDF don't work.
The first step is to turn off MOTW. You do that by right-clicking the WebHelp layout and choosing Properties. The option for MOTW is in the first dialog.
Once that is done things should be mostly good. I say "mostly", as you will now probably see the yellow information bar in IE when you test. To prevent seeing that, you need to change the settings in IE.
To change the settings in IE:
Click Start > Run type inetcpl.cpl and press Enter
    Click the Advanced tab
    Scroll to the Security section
Place a check mark in the option "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer"

  • Images missing in Web Help

    Hi Everybody
I've recently experienced a problem with a RoboHELP project
where the graphics are not displaying in web help output despite
having been properly linked into the topics. This occurred
unprompted with no action on my part.
Subsequent investigation showed that the image files missing
from the web help output were no longer showing in the RH project
view under Images. They were still present on the C: drive if
    viewed using windows explorer.
Once one of the missing image files is linked back in using
RH, other missing image files appear back in the project view.
This problems seems to occur after:
    1. Newtwork problems had occured
    2. When the output was web help
Most curious though, is that the RH project and the compiled
output were all stored on my local hard drive i.e NOT over a
    network drive.
I used a folder under my documents to store the RH project
and the compiled output. The compiled output was also run from the
local hard drive not the network. We are running IE7 but I have
    observed similar problems under IE6.
    What do people suggest:
    1. Might prevent this in future?
    2. Has anyone out there experienced similar problems?
So far I have simplified the project structure using no
folders to dvide up the project but not sub folders. I am also
trying out running from C:\directory etc rahter than under "MY
    Documents"
    Please can anyone help?

    Update on the situation..
By happy coincidence my RH crashed this afternoon whilst I
    had help "project x" open!
This meant I could test a few things out. when Project x was
compiled into web help, surprise suprise, missing graphics again.
I then closed RH down and made safe copy of the CPD file for
project x. I removed the CPD file from the project x directory.
Following this I opened project x in RH again. I then compiled and
    all graphics had returned.
In other words the cause of the problem was shown pretty
conclusively to be the CPD file being corrupted by an event whilst
that praticular project was opened. As an additional test, I opened
and compiled some other web help projects that were not open at the
time of the crash and these came out fine with no missing graphics.
Anyway thanks very much again for the advice.
For anyone else reading this I feel that using merged
projects on a large help system might be a good way to limit damage
to a large help system. That way one is only working on one segment
at a time and if an event occurs the damage is limited to what was
    open at that time.

  • Web Help - HTML Pages

    Dear All,
I have created a web help project. The project is working
fine. But I have been trying to do some R&D.
In the project's WebHelp folder (with in SSL folder) we have
all the HTML files. The main HTML page when opened from there opens
up with TOC and other navigation contents. But when we open any
other HTML page (other than main page) the TOC or navigation pane
is not displayed by default at all. It shows only "Show" hyperlink
at a corner. Only after we click it the Navigation pane is
displayed. Is there any way to make the HTML page to open by
default with navigation pane. Again I would like to underline that
this scenario is from SSL folder only.
    With thanks and regards,
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna
Sorry to err on the side of being overly cautious. I deal
with other forums where there are individuals that have egos the
size of the B-15A iceberg, and feel any other viewpoint or
suggestion offered is entirely detrimental to the thread. Instead
of viewing the information for what it is, an attempt to try and be
helpful, they view it as unwanted intrusion and a threat to their
very survival. (Please note that I'm not saying Colum fits that
description, just that I've seen it with great regularity in other
    forums I visit)
Hmmm, I may have found an easy way to accomplish this. Locate
a file in your project folder that is named whtopic.js. Open this
file in Windows Notepad. Tap the F3 key and search for the phrase
    sType=="show".
You should see something similar to this:
    else if(sType=="show")
    if(isTopicOnly()&&(!gbOpera6||gbOpera7))
    var sTitle="Show Navigation Component";
Add a line to the code just above where you see var sTitle=
so the line now looks like this:
    else if(sType=="show")
    if(isTopicOnly()&&(!gbOpera6||gbOpera7))
    setTimeout('show()',1);
    var sTitle="Show Navigation Component";
Close and save the file and test. There should be no need to
re-generate. You should also make a backup copy of your file so you
can easily replace it when you generate.
    Hopefully this helps... Rick

  • Import Web Help Projects

I have multiple Web Help Projects that I want to convert to
one HTML Project so that there is only one project to manage. I
don't want to link from a master project, I want it all embedded in
the one projectso that I end up with one .xpj Help file. It is easy
enough to import one but not the 5 that I have. I want all the map
files for each hpj project to be imported as well. Is there a
simple method for this? Thanks in advance.

Given the small number of topics, it would seem easier to
have one project provided you can get the layouts you need.
The problem is that the CPD for the all in one project has to
know about all the topics and to do that, you have to import them.
There aren't many and you can import all the topics in a folder in
one go so it shouldn't take that long.
Your cross project links will be broken so you'll have an
    exercise on fixing that.
The map files can probably be manually merged in Notepad or
similar. Similarly with the TOC and Index files.
Take a copy of the project and run some tests. It will need
some tweaking. Only you can decide whether it is worth the effort.

  • How to get rid of extra browser support files without hosing the web help

I produce web help for a a web app that is restricted to IE.
When I generate web help, RH spits out dozens of files that support
help within other browsers. We tried deleting these "extra" files,
but it hosed the help. Does anyone know of a way to either 1)
generate without these files or 2) remove the files without
    breaking web help?

    Welcome to our community, Karen
If you took them out and it hosed the help, it would seem
they are actually serving *SOME* function, no?
I'd simply ignore things and just accept the fact that you
get a lot of files with WebHelp.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Problem Generating Web Help - Robohelp 8

I'm using the Robohelp 8 demo, and am experiencing the
    following two problems:
I've created a help file consisting of multiple, although
small Word documents. The images show up fine in Robohelp, but as
soon as I generate the web help file, the images do not display.
    They are standard .jpeg format.
I'm also noticing that the font, while Ariel in Robohelp,
turns to Times New Roman in the outputted file.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
    --------------------------- Update
This must have something to do with my using multiple
documents. I just tried it again, with only one of the documents
    and everything generated fine.
    Jeff

    Hello again Ariane
When you look at the RoboHelp HTML interface you find different pods. One is named Project Manager and the one normally below it is called Single Source Layouts.
Each of the layouts listed inside this pod will create a specific type of output. I consider these to be very similar to "recipes". Each layout simply contains parameters that govern the way that layout is made.

  • CSS renaming for a web help project

    Hi all,
I can easily see how to rename a master page for a robohelp project, but how does one go about renaming .css stylesheets name for a web help project please?
    i.e
    before...  name1.css
    after... name2.css

If you just want to rename your CSS file you can do this by right clicking on it in the Project Manager tab and selecting the Rename menu item. However if you want to create a copy and call the copy something else, you'll have to do this manually in Windows Explorer. Once you've done that, just assign the new CSS file to your topics via the Topic Properties.
