6233 camera sound options

Hi all ,
I just bought my phone 1 week ago , everything is good , but I just don't know how to turn the camera sound (shutter) off !! I just don't have that option under camera settings !!
the phone software version is 4.91 , anyone have the same problem ? will upgrading the software help ?
regards ,

First of all, just make it clear - do we talk about sound recorded to video or about that stupid noise which means that the photo has just been taken?
You can't turn off sound recording in video, but you CAN turn off that stupid noise.
Ok, I've changed language of my phone to English and here are the steps:
Menu -> Media -> Camera -> Options -> Settings ->
Camera Sounds -> Off
So this is it. Bye.
P.S. actually I just reread "psbguy"'s post and he means SHUTTER sound! So, the answer is YES YOU CAN.
P.S.S. I HAVE GOT AN IDEA! Aren't you pbguy from some country where it is illegal to take snapshots with your phone on the public? Maybe therefore this option is unreachable in your phone. The shutter sound is there to let other people know you are taking the snapshots of them. Here in the Czech Republic, there is not such limitation, so in our phones we can turn it off.
I would send you the photo of my phone's LCD to show you the option, but probably it is not able to insert pictures here.Message Edited by jankusy on 31-May-200708:09 PM

  • Not recording when switch off "camera sounds" option

    Hi,
When i switch off the option in french "Désactiver le
bruit de l'appareil photo" (switch off camera sounds ?) so the
"clictch" camera sound each time a new picture is take, .. then
Captivate don't captivate anything.. i just have the first image
    and that's all... !
Using this "clitch" sounds is absolutly not professional for
the purpose we should do !!
with the export problem, we are not really happy of this new
version of Captivate for now !!

    Hi cyborgjeff
Unless you are recording your narration at the same time as
your main movie (which is not best practice, but to each his/her
own) you won't hear the shutter sound in your resulting movie. Did
you double-check to ensure you have the "Enable auto-recording"
    check box selected?
    Cheers... Rick

when in camera mode, you select options, scroll down and the option should be there. if its not there then its the firmware version. where are you located? it may have been removed by your country's standards.
you can also try switching to silent.
Thanks for your reply see the following comments:
    1- No option is available.
2- Only 6233 has this issue, even in other nokia sets camera sound may be silent, so no issue of country policy.
3- Please advise how to update the firmware. I have updated software version from 4.5 to 4.91 (Latest available at site)but it doesn't work.
Kindly advise the solution and/or provide software/firmware update to overcome this deficiency in nokia 6233.

  • Where is the grab (camera) sound effect?

I'm looking for a a camera shutter sound other than the one that comes with iLife. Is there such a sound in the Mac's resources? Where is it?

Control click on Grab (the Utility) and select "Show Package Contents." Then click on resources and you'll find there are two sound files. One titled OpenShutter.snd and the other CloseShutter.snd.
DO NOT TAKE THEM OUT OF THE FILE. You can, however, option + drag them to the desk top which will make duplicates of the original files.
Or you could always go on Google and do a search for "camera sound effects" or something similar.

That is not disputed but on this manufacturer's sponsored forum please be aware for users in Japan and South Korea that this is would be against the law.

  • Camera, sound, and general design issues

I bought an iPod Touch 3G about a year ago. Recently, I sold my 3g and bought a 4g. I am a professional web and interface designer and have been in the industry about 5 years.
With the iPod upgrade, I got camera functionality. Also, the recent iOS update added a new set of sound options. It appears that you can have the sound muted, but still get notification sounds from mail, facetime, and perhaps other applications as well; a good feature. The multitasking bar also now has a volume slider as well.
My Proposal (see below for details)
    - Link the camera shutter sound to the regular iPod volume. Or have a setting to turn shutter on and off. Or add a “Ringer and Alert” option to disable shutter sound.
    - Add a “mute all sounds” button in the multitask bar.
    - Remove the sound slider in the multitask bar and replace it with a brightness bar.
    The Camera
The camera seems to work great. Unfortunately, it isn’t the highest quality, which I heard was not due to cost, but because of size. Really Apple? Because 0.28 inches is just borderline “too thick?” But that is a whole other issue. The issue I am having is that the camera makes a really nasty (and often loud) shutter noise whenever I take photo, even when the sound is muted. Apple did add the “Ringer and Alerts” sound volume, which apparently also is linked to the camera shutter noise. So either I get audio mail alerts with shutter noise or I get no audio mail alerts with no shutter noise. The “Ringer and Alerts” section allows me to disable certain sounds (incoming mail, outgoing mail), but not the shutter sound. Shutter noises are annoying and there are plenty of circumstances where you do not want a shutter noise. And no, I am not talking about perverted circumstances. Say you are in a boring conference reading a magazine and want to send a photo of a page to a friend? Perhaps you are in a retail store doing some comparison-shopping online and are taking photos of bar codes? Maybe I have witnessed a crime and want to capture a photo of the fleeing perp. There is no reason that people within a 3-block radius need to know that you are taking a photo with my iPod Touch (…and yes, the last example was a bit over the top). Since mail alerts are very useful, I tend to leave them on even when the volume is muted. I typically leave my sound muted because often I may be using a sound application (games, youtube, etc) in a waiting room or other situation where there are people around. I like to be courteous to other people, so I leave my phone on vibrate and go to an unoccupied room (when possible) when receiving a phone call. So leaving my sound on is not a good option for me. However, in order to take a silent photo, I have to go into settings, go to sounds, and slide the “Change with Buttons” option to off. Then when I am done taking the photo, I have to slide it back. Very inconvenient and I have to remember to do it if I am taking a silent photo. Why not add a “Camera shutter” option to the list of sounds in the “Ringer and Alerts” section? Or maybe just bundle the camera shutter sound with the regular volume control of the iPod Touch. Or just add a setting to turn shutter sound on or off.
    The Sound
Why is there no easy way to “mute all sounds,” especially with the new sound options of the iOS? This option should be added to the multitask bar. If you are going into a meeting and do not want audio alerts. When the meeting is over, simply go back to the multitask bar and unmute all sounds; simple to use, easy to add. Why did Apple add a volume control to the multitask bar? You can adjust the volume from any application by using the external buttons! Also, perhaps I just don’t understand the new functionality of the volume buttons, but how come you cannot adjust volume from within some applications (camera and others)? The buttons just don’t seem to do anything in those applications. Why in the world would you do that? Those sound buttons have a specific purpose that users are accustom to. No matter what application you are in, you can easily adjust the sound. If you have some feedback on the new functionality of the buttons, please let me know.
    The Brightness
Sound and brightness are the two items I change the most. Sometimes I am using my iPod Touch in a dimly lit room, so I like to turn down the brightness. The auto brightness works, but not well in dimly lit rooms. Watching YouTube videos can sometimes be a bit cumbersome with the brightness. If the video is to bright or dark, you can to exit the YouTube app, go to settings, adjust the brightness, go back to YouTube and resume the video. The same goes for the Video application. Some games are brighter or darker than others, so adjusting the brightness after starting a game is a common circumstance. Why not replace the audio controls in the multitask bar with a brightness option. Audio is accessible (or at least should be) from any application thanks to the hardware buttons.

    Welcome to the discussions,
this is a user to user forum, and Apple does not follow the discussions. But you can address Apple directly using this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html

  • Camera Sound

    Hi
I have a very small question here, how to turn off the camera sound in the BB 8520? I cant find out this option only.
Also, is there any free app to track the location of people on our BB Messenger?
    Regards
    Sumit

You can't. The fact is that in Canada there is a Law regarding a persons security, which states that when someone is beeing photographed, all mobile cameras must make a shutter sound, which indicates that a photo is beeing taken, and the person whose picture is taken is aware of it. Due to the fact that RIM is a canadian company, it must comply with this law. Therefore unless you find a third party app that removes this feature, the sole option of removing the shutter sound is not possible on any blackberry phone.

    Derek

  • Turning off camera sound asha 305

please tell me how to turn off the camera sound of asha 305....
    Solved!

In many countries the option to disable the camera sounds is included, but in some countries it's not. This is indeed due to local legistlation and can't be changed by Nokia (unless the local laws are changed first). India is one of those countries the option has been removed.

I have m4v files that have subtitles and sound options they play fine on my computer in itunes and but  when i watch them on my apple tv there is video but no sound ... why ? all my other videos are fine and they in mp4 format.

Mov is a container format, you'd need to look at the codec used by the movie file inside the container to know whether it will work with the Apple TV or not.

  • How do I turn the camera sound off in iOS 7 on my 4s?

    Hi,
I just downloaded iOS 7 on my 4s.  Everything is fine, but it now makes a "shutter/camera" sound when I take a picture.  In iOS 6, I could turn that sound off.  I can't seem to find where to do that in settings....
    Can it be turned off?
    Thanks!
    Emily

Thanks.  That worked.  Weird that their's nothing in settings....
    Have a good one.

  • Relinking camera sound to corresponding clips

    Hi,
I am currently editing a short film on Final Cut Pro but now find myself in an awkward situation. Just yesterday the director of the film came in and wished to “play around with the edit”. We have pickups planned and he wanted to make sure that what we planned to shoot would cut in well with the edit, and that it would be all that was needed. I left him alone in the edit suite for a time so that he could experiment with cutting and visualising the end product, and in his moment of inspiration, he ended up making several severe cuts to the film: unfortunately he switched off linked selection (that keeps the audio and video tracks bound together) and now the entire project is out of sync; in fact the audio tracks are a complete mess, and I am unable to revert to an old save file as this would undo the director’s multiple changes. My question is, is there some simple way of reconnecting camera sound with its corresponding clip in the timeline? I am using Final Cut Pro 7.

Why not select the clip, and press f, to match the clip in the Viewer.
This will load the clip in the viewer, with ceorresponding in and outpoints, with the audio.
just drage over the wrong clip in the timeline and all will be fine.
Also. If sound and picture belong to each other, the amount of out of sync is indicated with a red block with white numbers in the begining of the clip in the timeline.
Right clicking on that red block gives you the opportunity to slip or slide the audio back in sync.

  • How to mute camera sound??

i have iphone 4 ios7, i can't mute my camera sound but i've been switch the silent button. heelp me

Laws in some countries don't allow silent phone cameras to discourage surreptitious photography.   iPhones sold in those countries will not silence the camera.
You may be able to reduce its volume via
Settings > Sounds > RINGER AND ALERTS

  • How to make camera sound totally silent?

I have Nokia E5 smartphone. I want to make camera sound totally off. I've download a patch file but it shows me certificate error. Is there any way to make camera totally off?

    @ic3_fir3_
You're on the right track.  Phone hacking isn't an acceptable topic in these official forums, but do some more web research or ask on unofficial Symbian site.  I suspect you can still make it work, but sadly the process is harder than it used to be.

Yes, I agree but sometimes in certain situation, i need it to be mute, like when to snap picture in some quite place. I tried off the warning tones but the n82 camera sound still can be heard.
In that case I'm afraid you're out of luck. Your N82 was obviously intended for a region where the camera must make a noise.
