I have nokia 6233 and have this error on Contacts
when i set "Name Display" on Contact Settings To "Last name first" this do coorect but when turn off Phone this setting rollback to first name first whitout changing the setting!
Please guide me

Hello, I have the same problem as you described. I thing that there is a bug in the firmware (my version is 4.52, 06-07-2006). My friend has also 6233 but older firmware (vers. 3.XX) and in his case the behaviour is correct.
So I think that we have to wait for new version of FW and hope that NOKIA will fix this bug.
Please let me known if I am wrong and you will find out other solution. Thanks.

have you logged on to https://www.icloud.com/? Try loggin on and your contacts should be there. I would also try holding the power and home screen button until you get a apple logo and restart it. That may help also

Copying contacts from N95 to 6233 by help of Nokia...

I try co copy 475 contacts from N95 to 6233 by using PC Suite: Nokia Content Copier. My OS is Window Vista 32 bits, PC Suive ver.: 6.85.14.1, cable connection.
I started to backup the contacts from N95, thereafter I tried to restore the contacts to 6233. The restoration process looked normal untill all the contacts should have been copied (100%). Than the process aborted giving the error message: Connection to the phone was lost. Reconnect your phone and restart the import.
The import log gave the following massage: A fatal error occurred during the import operation. The data was not imported to the phone.

I have now downloaded and installed the Norwegian version of Nokia PC Suite, so now both mobiles, OS and PC Suite are in Norwegian language. I have made new backup of the N95, and tried to restore the contacts into 6233. I got the same error messages, unfortunately!

Every email address ever used in my contacts- help!

I've got a new Blackberry Pearl 9105 3g, on the network 3. No idea what operating system, sorry!
I set up my emails to come to my phone- yahoo and hotmail. And now, every email address that I have EVER sent an email to is in my phone contacts list!!!! All I want is my phone number contacts in there and now theres literally hundreds in my contacts list- sooooooooo annoying.
Is there any way of removing them all other than to delete one by one which will take FOREVER?

Your email addres is gmail? or yahoo?
At your BIS account login where setup the email push, click to NOT sync contacts.
Then, to clear the "bad" address book data from your device, See option 4 in this link.

HT4515 Contacts Help (Groups)

How do I take my contacts in my iphone 4s and make groups out of them? I was able to do this with my android but can't on my iphone device. Do I need to do this in itunes? If so how?

Hi, I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but if you hi-lite a contact from list and select options then edit, you can add and remove details and edit existing ones.

Hi, I have a 30 gig ipod video and I want to use the contact feature but I am having a little trouble getting the contacts from Microsoft Outlook to my Ipod.
I have tried everything the manual said and i searched over and over these forums and online
Can anyone help me?
By the way, everytime i click the sync button nothing shows up even though the contacts are saved.(Dont know if that may help)

Managing Contacts - Help!

I am using PC suite 6.8.
I've got an old Nokia 6100 and I'm using the CA-42 (if that's the correct code; it's a serial - usb adapter). I'm on a laptop running WinXP SP2.
I can connect to my phone although I confess it was't as intuitive as I expected!
What I want to know, and cannot find the answers for, is how to get my contact telephone numbers off my phone and into the contacts section of PC Suite?
I have another question to ask about synching with Outlook, but it will have to wait till I clear up how to get my contacts to appear on my pc.

One additional comment, with PC Sync you can syncronise the phone data to Outlook, Windows Address Book (Express) or Lotus Notes (even some Lotus Organiser version) so there is a need to have some counter part application in you PC where you can manage the content that you syncronised from phone.
However, the contacts can be edited in Nokia Phone Browser also, once you have updated the contacts to PC side, you can double click a contact and it opens in edit window.
You can also add new contacts to phone by using the left hand side button in Nokia Phone Browser picture bar (or what ever you call that area between folder tree view and the right hand side content area). Not very smooth, but doable

E71 switch function for contacts - help!

I am trying to put contacts onto an E71 from an 8800 Arte. The built in switch function has transferred numbers only. They are useless without names. Is there any way to get the FULL contact details transferred?

Hi,
Try to sync it with Outlook first with ur 8800 and then connect ur Nokia E71 and resync back to the device
Bluetooth is also a good option i doubt whether u will get full details again since i havent tried this personally

The iphone software update server could not be contacted help

so i have the iphone 4th generation and i've finally decided to update it from IOS 5 to IOS 6. when it was done loading. it stays on a black screen telling me to connect to itunes. but when i plug my phone in my laptop (windows vista). it shows this message "the iphone software update server could not be contacted" i have the lastest versian of itunes and i dont know what to do. please help me! i cant turn my phone on at all! i don't mind restoring my phone if i have to. i just want to turn it on and call, text, play games ect on it. please help me! im desperate for an answer and i've searched the internet for an answer but none of them work! please help me!!

I pressume you are from the US. The player bought should be cover by one () year parts, ninety (90) days labor limited hardware warranty. If you are well within the year parts warranty but excess the 90 days labour warranty you will just need to pay for a small fee for the labour charges. Either way, just contact Customer Support and get ready your proof of purchase(receipt) and they should be able to assist you further. You can contact them either through phone or email.

Cannot get website email address from clicking Contacts Help

A lot of websites I go to and click on Contact us or email us nothing happens and therefore I cannot find the email address ,
I have found a Way around that is plug in my Mouse and right click properties and sometimes I get the email address ,
However this is annoying as happens alot .. Yes pop up window is turned off so if pop up should work
any help fixing would be great ..

The email address should appear in the Status bar at the bottom of the Safari window when you mouse over the address. If there is no Status bar there, press cmd+/ to turn it on.
Normally when you click on an address it should launch your local email application. Open Mail (Applications > Mail) and check in Mail preferences > General to see what application is currently configured to handle emails (don't ask me why this setting is here... only Apple can answer that one!).
If it is set to Mail aready, try changing it to something else (any program, it does not matter which one) and then quit both Mail and Safari. Restart Mail, and once again change the default application to be Mail and quit Mail once more. Lastly, restart Safari and retry a site with an email link.

Nokia 6233 -- Please Help!

My phone keeps going to a blank screen
About an hour ago, a little sign decided to pop up at the top of the screen, like, the symbol that appears when you send a picture message, it keeps trying to connect to the internet, but every time that the little box appears round the G the screen either goes blank, or turns itself off!
Does anyone know what i can do to stop this happening?

I guess you have a problem with your firmware..
I strongly suggest that you update your phone's firmware.
the latest firmware for nokia 6233 is 5.60.

I had the same problem while updating my wife's 3GS and after panicking for a few mins I googled it and it seems that a lot of people ran into the same issue.
Now then, IF you backed up your phone prior to doingthe update then you could try any one of the solutions on this page

Solution #5 worked for me but I have to add somehting that they won;t tell you.
When doing the resotre it will ask you if you want to do a back up
**********DON'T DO IT***********
Just run the restore and make sue that any questions Itunes asks you during the restore process you answer with the sole purpose of getting your contacts back.

Solution #5 – Restore Your iPhone
This fix submitted by Chris (thanks!) in the comments, and seems to work for a few people:
Plug iPhone into Computer
Launch iTunes
After it’s done syncing, right click on iPhone (under devices in the left) and click on “Restore from Backup”
Choose one (it may not be the most recent, some folks have bad backups just before the upgrade)
Let the iPhone restore completely
DO NOT CONNECT TO iCLOUD

BT Yahoo Mail export contacts - help please!

I'm trying to export my contacts from Bt Yahoo mail. I select all, click actions, click export all, click yahoo csv. However when I come to import contacts with outlook 2003 (I have also tried with gmail) only one (the top one) is imported. Also, when I open the CSV with Excel I can only see that one contact (an error message also appears saying "file not loaded completely). I have tried the same exporting contacts to an outlook csv with the same results. I have also tried selecting just some contacts but, equally, only the first one gets exported. I have also tried to sync my outlook with the account with yahoo sync, but no luck.
I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?

Cheers but in the end I just exported all contacts as a "vCard, Zip of .VCF files" and imported each one individually to outlook then exported contacts as a csv file, then imported that to gmail.
Labourious, but possibly a solution unless anyone else out there has anything better?
