6233 No Email icon in Messaging window

Hi
I have just got a 6233 & installed the setup info provided by O2 to send/receive emails. But there is no icon for emails in the messaging window.
However this is a replacement phone. The previous 6233 did have the icon & worked OK .The only reason for replacement was due to items missing from order.
The other thing that happened in this changeover period was My ORANGE mobile number (pac) is now in use instead of the original O2 issued number.
O2 seem to think it is a fault on the phone.
Any Ideas??

Fantastically annoying that clicking the dock icon for messages does not open the buddy list..this should be configurable.

Right!?!? Beyond annoying, it's like Apple has gone out of it's way to just make little annoyances. I wish it would just go back to how iChat was, or like you said, make it configurable.
Also, if you close out of all Messages windows, and then put the computer to sleep (this is something I do quite common), when you return from sleep, Messages has completely quit on its own. Why....??

My HP Compaq Presario Q40 CQ40 beeps everytime I open it, the when the windows are already open and i click an icon a message window appear asking me if I want to delete the said icon even if I dont want to delete it, when i click the no id does not disappear, itjust come keep on coming out as if it want to send the contents all to recycle bin..pls help I really dont know what to do, and by the way my battery needs replacement too and i haven't bought a new one yet.

Clicking email-links doesn't open "new message" window

When I click email links, safari doesn't take me to the "new message" window. It activates safari: the program comes on in the dock and the text next to the apple logo changes to "mail", but I don't get the "new message" window

Are you installing from the official site? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to check that path, is the Mozilla Firefox folder there? That is the normal installation location, but I think it's worth checking.
If the folder isn't there or firefox.exe is not in it, I wonder whether some other software might be interfering. You might want to run some supplemental security scans. These two tools are highly regarded:

How do i get both my IPAD devices to display the PDF icons/attachments? Bearing in mind if i open the same email over the internet the PDF Icons/attachments display OK!

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

Just what i said above. I've gotten several emails from Amazon. It's always the same, the message window is always empty.
Also When I'm emailing a buddy of mine and we are going back and forth using the same original email we always change color of the font with each reply. However after several exchanges I quit getting his newest response. The message comes back to me but doesn't have his last reply. To see it I have to go to Earthlink's Webmail to get the rest of the message.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird queue. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.

Single email sent but activity window reports multiple messages

When I send a single email sent the activity window reports sending of multiple messages e.g. 9. Does this indicate a virus or malware is working in the background and if so what should I do about it?

This is not malware, it's simply a long-standing bug in Mail. The count doesn't reset properly until you quit Mail, so when sending the 9th e-mail since starting Mail, the number of messages being sent will be shown as 9.

The second problem is that the replies do show until we reach about the 6 or 7th reply and then my end stops and I have to switch to Earthlink webmail to see it. My friend at the other end, using Outlook never has the problem, only at my end using Thunderbird.l

How do I resize the email message window to accomodate a message so I can read it without having to scroll across to see it all?

Tried pinching.... the only thing that happened was it brought up the Launch Pad. ??
Also tried double-clicking-- nothing happened.
I tried both these suggestions with new mail and old saved mail. Nothing happened....
What to do?? What to do??? I know it can be done somehow... or maybe it was with Windows ??
Also regarding Klaus' comment: The text is too big, too wide-spread to all appear when I enlarge the window to the max. Somehow the text must be "shrunk" to fit within the window.

With Firefox open an update window came up; I clicked on Restart Later. When I later clicked on Firefox icon, a message brefly appeared "Firefox is damaged and cannot be opened" and the icon changed to a generic one with the "Do Not" slash across it.

FMS trigger for Subject in email 'Send Message' window

My goal is to auto-populate certain fields in the 'Send Message' window based on the user creating the email. For example, the sales and purchasing people routinely email their SOs and POs to the Business Partner contact on the document. The vast majority of the time, that is what they use SAP email function for, so it would be great if I could default the Subject appropriately. Here is my query for FMS:

If I attach this query to a field in another window, e.g. Sales Order Remarks, and trigger Auto Refresh when Field Changes, 'Customer/Vendor' code, the FMS returns the correct message, so I know the query is good. My problem is that I have so few choices for Auto Refresh field on the Send Message window. Anybody have an idea on how I could get the Subject to populate when the window opens?

The Subject field is the only mandatory field you need to change on that form. Therefore, FMS may not work unless you click on Priority for every single email. If you can accept that, refresh based on that field might be viable.

Message/email icon went missing from my screee on my Palm Pro

The message/email icon in my today screen does not show anymore. Even is a click on the message button on my phone nothing opens. When I go Start - Programs and look to the message icon it does not show.
Something happened in my phone and I think this function was deleted.
Anybody had this problem?

I tried everything, checked all the settings and nothing would work. Like said, something went wrong my phone because it deleted everything that is related with messaging.
The only way to fix it was to do a hard reset and install everything that I had in my phone before.
I knew something was wrong because every time I tried to turn off and on my phone it will still say I have a voicemail message even tough I did delete all of my messages the night before.
Thanks god most of my stuff is in my mini expansion card.
But still, very strange what happened today with my phone.

Seriously what gives with my messaging/email icons? please help!

Since the outage I have had serious issues with accessing my messaging/email icons! I have posted about this before. I deleted t service books registered the hrts and sent the service books and I have did more hard reboots with device on more then I care to count! On wednsday the icons worked for 4 hours and back to the same issue and went through everything again. I did a master reset and still nothing! Has anyone else had this issue? I do not have access to another phone to call support and I am about at the end of my rope here. Please! Please! Please! Somebody help? Somebody? Lol

The only things I would suggest first are things you have already done...
Go to OPTIONS> ADVANCED OPTIONS > APPLICATIONS > HOST ROUTING TABLE > then press the Menu (BlackBerry) Button > REGISTER NOW.
and
Try removing your battery - then replacing it - allwing your phone to reboot.
You have the BlackBerry data plan?
The only thing I know is to call your carrier.....

How can I disable the Email icon in the tool bar from Windows regisrty?

Does anyone know what key and value in the registry enables\disables the email icon? Is it even a registry key? I know that it can be done manually via the UI. Can it be done using Adobe Customization Wizard 8? I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 8 and Reader 4 installed on a Citrix server and would like the default value for the email icon to be set to disabled or even hidden when users open a PDF file.

The values in this registry key change what tool bar options are enabled:
\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\8.0\AVGeneral\cToolbars\cFile\cInternalButtons
