i save videos directly to my 1gig card recording at the highest resolution. try updating your firmware, latest version is 5.10 via the NSU, or you can take it in to a nearest nokia care centre, where you can also explain to them the problem, and they will take the necessary steps. whether it be fixing the problem or replacing your handset.
everything happens for a reason

  • Problems Recording Video with Photo Booth

    Macbook Details:
    OS X Yosemite
    Version 10.10.2
    MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011)
Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    Photo Booth: Version 7.0 (724)
Some background: It all started going downhill for my laptop when I got a "Service Battery" warning back in December. Thought it could possibly be a glitch from the new OS. In any case, they told me to wait it out till the Full Charge Capacity reaches the 2000s. It's currently at around 4225 and slowly steadily decreasing. I can't keep many applications open at one given time.
The problem: Built-in camera is working fine with Skype, FaceTime, etc. Photo Booth pictures are fine as well. Simply unable to record any video with PB. It will sometimes record, but during recording, the image freezes. Upon playback, the image is frozen for the entire video, and audio lags or skips around. Today it froze and actually sat frozen all day while I continued to use other applications.
Is there anything I can do??

You can't record video with PhotoBooth, you can record video with iMovie, or you can record with Quicktime if you have the Pro version. I would suggest using iMovie, create an MPEG-4 project, record your footage, drag your recorded clips into the timeline, then choose the Share menu and choose Email.
Baby footage will be on its way to the grandparents in no time!

  • Problem recording video with canopus advc110

I am trying to record video from a Hitachi KP-M2RN-S3 camera connected through a Canopus ADVC110 to a firewire port in a brand new Mac Mini.  I can see and record video from the camera in iMovie; in QuickTime, I can see/select the ADVC110 input, but do not receive any video.  The preview screen remains black, and if I hit the record button then stop the recording I receive a message that no data was received.  I can record in QuickTime from other cameras connected to the same Mini (two different Stingray cameras).  I would really like to record from the Hitachi in QuickTime as well and am willing to upgrade to QuickTime Pro if that would fix the problem.

  • Problem recording videos with Toshiba Camileo X-Sports

    Hi there,
I recently just brought the Toshiba Camileo X-Sports so am fairly new to how the camera works.
As the title suggests I am having some issues recording.
Right I'll try and explain the best i can
The reason I purchased this device was mainly to be used as a car safety cam (crash cam) as I'm a taxi driver, I drive around 200 miles per day and people's ability to drive sensibly is just getting crazy now and having video evidence if the worst should happen would be amazing. Other reasons was for trips out on my motorcycle and also being able to take this cam under water.
I received the X-Sports on Wednesday, placed the memory card in and hit format card to ensure the card was correctly set for use with the X-Sports
I then read through the manual to see what settings would suit my needs best... I came across looping video.
    Here's what the manual says.
    Looping Video
Looping Video features recording a continuously looping video that overwrites itself until you stop it.
    Looping Video feature includes:
    OFF - Default
Max - Depending on the maximum capacity the camera records a certain number of videos based on 15 minutes files, then deletes the first 15 minutes file to continue recording a new video.
5 Min - Camera records 5 x 1 minute file, then deletes the first 1 minute file to continue recording a new video.
20 Min - Camera records 4 x 5 minutes file, then deletes the first 5 minutes file to continue recording a new video.
60 Min - Camera records 4 x 15 minutes file, then deletes the first 15 minutes file to continue recording a new video.
120 Min - Camera records 8 x 15 minutes file, then deletes the first 15 minutes file to continue recording a new video.
So upon reading this I though right as I have a 64gb card (Samsung EVO 64gb Class 10 U1 micro SDXC) I will put the setting on Max and then if ever I needed to recall a video i will have a decent chunk of the day stored on the memory card leading up to the event.
I took the camera out with me on Thursday just for an hour and when i got home i took the memory card out and placed it into my laptop to view the recordings and this is where my problem comes in.
The first 15min video plays back fine but every file after that will not play. when i open the memory card file the first video has the preview style thumb nail where as the rest of the video files do not.
I then searched online and come across this website looking for answers.
some of the info i read was that 1080 60fps was causing some problems with recording and playback and to turn down the fps to 30fps, also that the stability control was also a possibility for these issues.
So last night i went through and made the necessary changes to my settings 1080 @ 30fps and no stability control. I then set the camera up in the living room for 45mins as a test. i then tested the recordings on my laptop and hey presto it worked. 3x 15min videos all playing back as they should Great stuff
This morning at 5am i left for work taking my shiney new cam with me, happy in what i might capture on today's drive and also be satisfied that my camera is functioning as it should.
I get home, stick the memory card into the laptop and I'm back to square one. my first 15mins was fine and all others were unable to playback. I also tried the memory card in my PC and still had the playback issues.
Does anyone have any ideas or shall I return this as faulty?
Sorry for the big post but wanted to put as much info as possible!
    Thanks, Leon.

    Problem Solved
Camera returned and replaced with a Kitvision Edge HD30W

  • Problem Recording Video: Automatic Screen Cropping

My Skype video recording is being automatically cropped, and I don’t know why. I record a number of Skype video interviews and before I begin, I make sure that the person is completely centered. However, after I view the recording, I often find that the top of their head, or the bottom of their chest, has been cropped. Why is Skype not recording the whole screen that I am seeing? What is even more frustrating, is that the icon DOES show the entire screen, but not when I click to play it back. So is the whole screen/file still there somewhere? Can I fix and repair the cropped screen? Or is there a setting that will allow me to record the entire screen as I see it, and not have to guess which parts maybe cropped or not?

    Hi there
Record the videos separately at the smaller size you desire. Then you have two possible approaches. Maybe three.
You can open two instances of Captivate, then copy slides from the recording to the text bit.
You can import from one to the other.
You might even wish to resize the project from the smaller to the larger, then import.
In other words, lots of options abound.
Keep any given project at about 50-65 slides. This may mean that you need to have multiple segments. Then buttons may point to other slides in an existing project or open other projects as needed.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Transfer videos from SanDisk memory card to imovie

I am having problems transfering videos from my memory card (SanDisk) to imovie. I have watched the tutorials and they dont seem to help.

Mount the card to the desktop in a card reader or your camera if it mounts and drag them to a folder - right click on the folder and burn to Disk
Or import to iPhoto and export as kind = original to a desktop folder and burn that

    br,

I have the same problem and I have the latest firmware. So updating won't help. The video-recording "hangs" for about 1 sec for every 2 sec recording. The end-result is NOT very good..

Change the selection and try again."
Ive even tried opening in itunes and copying from thier but they wont open in Itunes, no message or anything they simple just dont open. its strange because it does open in quicktime player.
please if anyone has any ideas that can help me please let me know XD thanks.

First problem: You're fine. The hotter it gets, the more the fans spin up. The computer is designed so that at max load, at max fan speed, it won't overheat (unless it's obstructed by something, e.g. sitting on your bed swallowed by a comforter). It's not the best thing to keep it that toasty for days at a time, but a couple hours at a time shouldn't be a problem.
Second problem: If something in the trash won't delete, just use Secure Empty Trash and it should be fine. Since .torrent files are quite small, it should only take a couple seconds.

i have a kodak camera which i recorded video and i have and macbook labtop and when goes on imovie to import it cannot, what is my problem?

I found this previous post.  Does it help?
"Movie '09 and the Kodak Playsport HD".
His advice worked like a charm:
"This camera is a lot of fun and when i connected it to iMovie 09 I, in the first case, had to go to File, Import Movies and navigate to the SD card and choose all the .mov files which then imported seamlessly. Was able to edit and share the movie no problem."
    Hope this helps

  • Problem with video recording

I am very infuriated based on what happened today. While my cousin and I were recording some video scenes for some funny video we were making, the camera suddenly stops recording videos. Why does it do this? I currently own a Canon PowerShot SX510 HS camera containing an 8 gigabyte SD card. Once this camera stops recording, it does not say anything that the memory is full. It doesn't let me record anything. WHY?

Check that the speed of the SD card is speed class 6 or higher. How long were you recording, and in what resolution? According to the user manual, an 8GB card records for 1/2 hour approximately in full HD mode. By going to a lesser quality video, you will increase the time to about 45 minutes in HD, and about 1 1/2 hours in VGA. Is your display set to show the remaining record time? This should display across the top of the screen and be doing a countdown as you record. If it's not showing, you will need to check your camera settings to make sure it's on. Sounds like you maxed out your card, so would a videocam be better for you? The SX510 HS is made primarily for shooting photos, and as a "bonus", it has a video mode for getting short clips. You may just need to carry a few spare memory cards when you do the videos to avoid missing video moments.
Since I don't own the SX510, maybe someone in the community has some other ideas how to get around the time limits to your satisfaction.

  • Video Files Recorded on SD Card Used in Canon AVCHD Camcorder Not Visible Under Mountain Lion

    Hello:
Mountain Lion seems to treat the storage media (an SD card) used to record video in my Canon AVCHD camcorder differently than Mac OS X 10.7, 10.6 and 10.5.
When the card is inserted into the built in-card reader, it mounts as one would expect; however, a folder named "Private" appears and nothing seeems to be inside of it. If I use a machine running 10.7, 10.6, or 10.5, I'm able to drill down the fodler structure to the MTS files.
Anyone know of a way to tell 10.8 to see the data structure as 10.7 would?
I'm guessing that 10.8 wants me to use iMovie or Final Cut Pro X to access the video; however, the files need to remain as they are (i.e. mts files) and used in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
This one is kind of obscure, I know.
    Thank you for any input.
    -Warren

    Let's see...
Sounds like you're running into an expected issue if you make an alias to removeable media.  The same thing would happen if you made the alias to a folder on a DVD-R disc or CD-R.  If you eject the original, you disable the alias.
If you copy the entire SD card volume to your drive, the PRIVATE package should copy across.  Then, as a folder on your hard drive rather than a volume on removeable media, you could make an alias to the STREAM package for quicker access later.
I'm pretty sure that Handbrake, like Prmeiere Pro, can see the MTS files directly.  That is, it's not dependant on the other folders in the PRIVATE directory sturcture.  As such, you could copy the contents of the STREAM package to another folder on your drive.  Just be mindful of the default MTS file names if you're using more than one SD card (you don't want to accidentally copy 00001.MTS from one card over 00001.MTS from another card).
As long as Handbrake sees MTS directly, you could even rename the MTS files after you've copied them.
On a side note, I almost always archive my SD cards with the data structure intact.  More often than not, that file structure is important to corretly access the video stored within that structure.  If something unexpected happens while working with the MTS files, it is good to have the original file structure to go back to.  Although, SD cards are getting to be so low cost that sometimes I just label the SD card and store it for archiving.

  • Battery problem while recording videos.

I got my ipod touch 5 1 month ago. I got a problem while recording videos. The battery was around 40 percent, but after I recorded a video for about 1-2 minutes. The 20% was popup, then it turned off automatically. While I turn on it, the battery will be about 30 percent. It happened several times. Is this normal?
Does anyone have the same problem?
    Thanks!
