6233 T-Mobile White Screening

Hi,
After many months complaining to T-Mobile about my 6233 white screening and crashing when sending picture messages I finally got my phone changed over. Despite several new firmware flash's that promised to cure this fault my new phone started doing the same thing.
I did a reset to factory settings and to my suprise it worked so one by one started to configure my phone one setting at a time then trying to send a picture message until bingo I found the setting in the phone that corrupts the memory and causes it to white screen.
Setting the option for Delivery reports in Multimedia Messages settings to Yes causes the corruption. Changing it back to No will not cure the problem. The only way to resolve it is another Reset to factory defaults.
I can live without delivery reports but Nokia really should look into the cause as I have had this since 3.70 through 4.52, 4.54 and even on the latest 4.91 versions of the firmware.
This little fix has been tested time after time on both my phone and 4 other T-Mobile phones at work and always cures it.
Hope this helps someone out there with the same problem.
John Paton

yes i have the same problem this is my 3rd phone from virgin, its so annoying. if i put delivery report on the mutimedia settings then go to send a picture it crashes turning my screen white the reload. i have emailed nokia help line i wonder if i get a reply as it seems to be a very common problem. WHY hasn't nokia recalled the 6233 due to the fault?????

  • CS5.5 Mobile White Screen of Death

    HI,
I am a N00B to CS5.5 and I am testing it out with a trial version.  I developed an app in Dreamweaver CS5.5 with phonegap.  I launched the app in CS5.5's Build and Emulate.  After my splash screen I get a white screen that never goes away.  I can't figure out what it is...
I looked at the debug notes and found this:
      * Fail Loading With Error
      * Error - If the webpage failed to load display an error with the
    reson.
    - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)theWebView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError
    *)error
             return [ super webView:theWebView didFailLoadWithError:error ];
I am a little confused as to what this means for me.  Can someone
point me in the right direction?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP!

I have somewhat the same problem. I was jogging (perspiring) with the equipment and suddenly the menu selections began to fade to a white-light gray--it stopped playing. I tried discharging-charging the battery, to no avail. When I tried to recharge I get 2 beeps every 10-15 minutes.
    Help!

  • Design Studio 1.3 applications shows only white screen on Mobile BI App (iPad)

    Hello Design Studio friends,
after upgrading or BI platform (4.1) Design Studio Add-On from version 1.2 to 1.3 we could no errors, everything works fine. But now we have the issue, that all of our Design Studio Applications do not work on iPad.
All mobile Applications are listed correctly in the overview in the Mobile BI App. But after starting one application the loading screen is running and after loading only a white screen is displayed. No data, no components, no variables screen etc.
Do you have any idea about the reason of our problem?
Here some additonal information, what we have done:
After upgrade we restartet the BIP and checked that all services are running.
We saved new Design Studio 1.3 Applications on BIP.
We run the Design Studio Applications local (everything works) over BIP on Desktop clients (everything workds), via Mobile BI App (iPad iOS7, newest iOS Version and newest App version) (only white screens are shown).
We deleted all metadata on iPad and reconnected to our BIP.
Our DataSources, integrated in the Design Studio 1.3 applications, are based on SAP BW Queries of a BW 7.4 system.
Many thanks for help and your support.
    Kind regards
    Patrick

    Hi Tammy,
I deleted the mobile BI App from my iPad and installed it again (newest version).
No changes, after loading the Design Studio Application only a white screen is shown.
I cannot find a relevant Part in the App protocol (Debug Mode).
    Thanks for your support.

    Hey Mari_43,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Since the white screen is still occuring after a reload of the device software, I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Blank White screen appears while returning from server page to website page.

I am trying to run my website as hosted webapp on Intext Cloud FX. The scenario I am facing is this
    1. I submit to payment page calling server servlet https://abc.com/payment.
    2. Server responds with an intermediate page (form with hidden fields), with a form in it submitting parameters to my website url
    (http://a.com/checkout/paySuccess.mobile).
My app is struck in second step when server responds with intermediate page and it shows blank white screen.
Any help in this regard will be helpful.
    Regards

Got the solution. Problem was that I was trying to submit form from encrypted (https) page to unencrypted page(http). On firefox browser we get an alert message regarding this but on hosted app, no such message is appearing and only white screen is coming. When sumbitted to encrypted (https) page all worked fine.

  • Source File shows White Screen in Source + Program Monitor

    Hello,
I'm having an issue with only one of three media files in my Premiere Pro CS6 project.
When I try to preview this one video file in the Source Monitor, it shows only a white screen, and I can only move the playhead to the beginning and end of the file. I then plopped the clip into the sequence to see if rendering it would give me better luck in the Program Monitor, yet to no avail. The file supposedly successfully rendered, yet when I open the subsequently created "Preview" file in VLC, the entire clip is completely white for its entire duration. (I think it's interesting to note that VLC plays the source file correctly, and that this footage has been successfully used in a separate project in Final Cut after converted to ProRes with Compressor.)
I've opened the file with GSpot to make sure I had the Codec installed, yet GSpot doesn't list any Codec information for this file. It only lists Container information.
(Screen shot of GSpot with white-screen issue in the background)
My Video Card drivers are up to date, taken directly from the chipset's manufacturer's website.
Codec: (See post below for Media Info dump)
Premiere Pro version 6.0.3 (001 (MC: 264587)), installed in English.
Sequence Settings: DVCPROHD 1080i50 default settings (framerate changed to 50FPS)
    Windows 7 x64 Service Pack 1, English, 1440x900 32bit Color
    Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU  T4200 @ 2.00 GHz
    2GB RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Driver version 8.15.10.2869
53.2GB of free space on the SSD all of the media files, the operating system, the Adobe Premiere installation, and scratch disk is located.
I'm unsure of the camera used to record this footage.
Thanks for reading my post, and let me know if you need any more information.

  • HT201263 My ipad will not show the recovery mode, it goes into DFU mode just fine, but whenever I put it in recovery mode I get nothing but a blank white screen. After doing a restore or update itunes gives me error 37. This all happened due to a failed u

I updated from ios 5.0.1 to 5.1. Midway through the update itunes crashed. I got it all working again and ever since I have been stuck in a recovery loop. DFU mode works fine, but when I go into recovery mode (yes I am doing it right, yes I have tried pwning, tinyumbrella, etc.) it still just gives me a white screen (I am not getting the plug arrow and itunes icon screen that shows up when you are in recovery mode). I am a huge fan of hacking, mods, and jbs, BUT have never done any on the iPad, (found it pointless).. nevertheless, I am stuck thanks to apple in a white screen and a nonworking iPad. If anyone has any ideas that does not include jbs, updating, restoring, restoring with internet off, restoring in DFU, I would gladly appreciate it. I would take it to the apple store but it was a friends and I didn't purchase it. My friend had the issue formerly and they had no idea what to do at apple (they usually try DFU, restore, and then have nothing else to tell you.

There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

  • Nokia N70 starts with a white Screen.

    Hi all,
My nokia N70 starts with a white Screen and does not go any further. It does not make any sound while starting. When i connect it to the PC it is not detected by the PC while the phone is on showing a white screen. I have tried performing a Hard reset using the *3 and the green key but it is not formatting either. I also tried updating the software but as the PC is not recognising the mobile connection the updater is not working either. I am using the latest PC suite.
    Please help...

Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes and then replace and see if that makes any difference. Also try removing the memory card.
If the above two don't work then try these.Always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
    First try these
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default
    *#7370# - Reformat your phone
    If still not working
Then try the "3 finger deep reset". With the phone powered off, depress and hold these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone using the on/off button whilst keeping the three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
This should ONLY be done if the device doesn't power up normally anymore and it wipes everything in the Phone memory that is not part of the ROM.

  • How to remove/skin white screen when loading StageWebView

    Hello all,
I'm facing a very tricky issue with StageWebView into a mobile View.
    I'm using this example -> http://soenkerohde.com/2010/11/air-mobile-stagewebview-uicomponent/
BUT, my application has a black background and when i'm loading an HTML (wich also has a black background) the StageWebView components it's white when loading, and that i dont like.
On viewActivate handler for StageWebView component i've put the stageWebView.stage = null; and created an event handler.
    The event handler has the command stageWebView.stage = myStage;
In this way i can show a loader (busy indicator) and when the page is fully loaded in background,it will pop on view.
When the StageWebView pops in view i get a flashy white screen. I have tested it on Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android).
How i can get rid of it?
Any sugestions will help a lot.
    Regards,
    Daniel

  • Nokia X3-00 white screen of death !!!

    Hello guys.
    I own a Nokia X3-00.
When i first purchased it, after 2 days, it failed to switch on.
Instead a white screen appeared and after the nokai logo appears, the screen flashes 3-4 times and than it goes off.
I got a new set in place of it since it was just 3 days old.
now the new phone i got also got the same problem of white screen.
I wanted to ask that what is the reason behind this white screen problem?
I didnt update the firmware and didnt disturbed any settings of the pghone.
    Kindly plz assist me.

May be 2 truth's are disclosed:
    Hey guys, Never Give Up.
Actually, I faced the same problem on the 27th day of purchasing the phone. I're really very very afraid. But, later I understood that there isn't any problem with my phone. Actually, during the 1st month of purchasing my phone I used it as a Internet Modem. It harms any mobile very much. Whenever I use my phone as a modem for a long time, for 2-3 days it disturbs me this way. But If I let it to take a long rest, it forgets about that. So don't be worry if you like me using your phone as a modem. If you aren't then remember these speeches, actually you may not beleive me on this point even Nokia will also, but I'm telling you from my real experience.
""IF YOU UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE, YOUR PHONE FOR A SHORT PERIOD WILL DISTURB YOU IN THE WAY YOU MENTIONED ABOVE. DON'T BE WORRY ABOUT IT. LET IT TO TAKE REST. AFTER 5-6 IT'LL WORK AS YOU WISH.""

  • Installed Lion then white screen of death

Hello I just installed Lion based on an email that said I had to switch for the migration from Mobile Me to ICloud. As soon as it downloaded, there was a problem. A screen came up that said, problem loading restart to try again. I did and now I have the white screen of death with a flashing apple, file with a question mark and the no symbol, I.e. circle with a line through it.  I've shut down at least twice but when I restart all I get is the white screen and flashing symbols. Everything is backed up via my time machine but this is crazy. Pls help.  Thank you. T

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

  • Blackberry White screen of death

My friend has the Blackberry Curve 8520 it was working fine for her but recently she has been getting a white screen randomly which she then needs to take the battery out and plug it into charge, to get it to work. The first time it did it she thought maybe it ran out of charge but as soon as it was plugged in it said full battery. Is there anything she can do?

Hello becceh96 and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear your friend is having issues with her BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone.
It would be recommended your friend reinstall her device software.
Using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, have her back up her device data and follow the steps in KB11320 "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows".
Before she restores the backed up data file, have her test the screen to ensure it doesn't go white again.
If she should encounter any further issues, she should contact her mobile network provider point of sale for further investigation.
    Hope this helps!
