Regarding this v05.43 update, I can confirm that even when your ringtone is NOT set to ascending, the tone is still muted the first couple of seconds using an mp3 ringtone. I really really hoped this STUPID issue would be solved in this update, but again I'm disappointed by Nokia!

I also read claims about audio levels being optimized in this update. I was a bit scared installing this update would result in less louder sound when playing mp3's as a fix for some problems with cracking speakers (due to too loud mp3's) I read about. I can confirm that this is not the case.
In fact, and I don't know if it's coincidence or not, I meassured the amount of dB's with a **bleep**py dB meter before the update and after the update, after the update the dB meter peaked higher. The tests were performed under the exact same conditions, that means: same mp3, same location of the phone and meter and same ambient noise.
Before the update the dB meter meassured a peak of 87dB and after the update it meassured a peak of 91dB. But again, maybe the difference can be blaimed due to the fact I used a **bleep**py dB meter. I cán say for sure that the volume of a played mp3 is at least the same. The **bleep**py dB meter was another Nokia phone which has that function btw .

AFDKO 2.0 build 26 is now released

AFDKO 2.0 build 26 is now available at:

This is a bug fix release. Many bugs are fixed, but there is little new function. This release fixes the problems with installation under Mac OSX and Wiindows, and allows the FDK to co-exist with an installed Python used by FontLab. It supports both Python2.3 and 2.4 for FontLab. Several significant makeOTF bugs are fixed: see the file "DKReleaseNotes.txt".
Note that some of the older links to files in the AFDKO web site s have not yet been re-directed. These will be fixed soon.

Hi Magnus,
I've logged a job through the TAC this morning for a bug (cosmetic) with TC7.2.0. Bug reference is CSCuq62469.
On the web interface of an EX90 or MX200 upgraded to TC7.2.0 we're getting a warning message that the OSD is set to a video output that doesn't have a display connected. And it doesn't matter which output the device is configured to, the same error keeps displaying.

Can anyone point me to the "what's new" or "readme" file for the V1.1
release? It looks great so far, even though I have just used it a little
bit, but it would be nice to be able to see what 'official' changes were
incorporated.

Updated app metadata, now release date has changed to Aug. 12 :(

This morning I updated the metadata of the paid version of my app (which was on the front page of the utilities category as an update just appeared a couple of days ago). Now I see that its release date is marked as Aug. 12 (the original release date) and as a result the app is pushed way to the back of the utilities category apps listing. Anyone had this happen to them and can suggest anything to do about it?

BB10 Updates - What's the latest version now released?

It's been 1 month since I used my Q10
With so many bugs & problems, my OS is still 10.1.0.2309
I keep checking for updates almost everynight.
Is there any new updates than the one I currently have?

Device operating system releases are "released" by specific carriers once they have certified and trained their support techs, but still, you are able to load to any carrier's same model by following the instructions in this link below.
The ONLY difference is that you will need to find the autoloader file for the OS release you wish to install, but the base instructions are the same.

Hotfix 3 is now released, but no source for the rpc package?

HotFix 2 included the rpc source, but HotFix 3 omits it even
though apparently the focus of the patch was WebService
improvements. Can we get it back so we can find the new entry
points for application-level functions?
The builds of the 2.0.1 SDK on Adobe Labs also leaves this
package out.

We are not releasing the Flex SDK with the source for the rpc
classes at this time.

Hi All,
I conducted a stress test on a legacy codec and I now understand why support for Proximity isn't offered for them.
We used a C90 codec and I had about 15 people in the room with someone on the far end pushing a presentation. We asked everyone to launch the app at the same time.
What we found was that after about 10 devices connected the codec itself seemed to become unstable. It was slow in responding to button presses from the remote. On closer investigation we noticed it got very hot to the touch (hotter than normal). Also many of the connected devices mobile devices screenshots of the pushed presentation stopped updating after a minute or so (not sure if this was due to the codec or our wifi though).
It seems clear to me that the hardware on legacy codecs cant support a large number of devices connected to it without affecting the codec in a serious way. Perhaps software updates in the future might allow better performance but my guess is the hardware just can't do it. Also as more features get added to Proximity, so will the load on the codec so I doubt this will ever work well on the older models (although one can hope).

BPM 11g has split into two main components for the Business Analyst and the Developer/IT. There is a Process Administrator UI that makes it easy for BA's to model, change and implement business processes.
As far as the developer is concerned, there is much more capability in the way it is coupled with Oracle SOA suite. It's only complex because developers must deal with complexity. With BPM 11g you get a SOA suite rules engine and ADF. If you haven't developed using ADF before, hold judgment until you get a chance to learn how it works. Also give JDeveloper a chance. For eclipse users, it shouldn't be to difficult to find everything you need.
I think the ideal candidate to go to BPM 11g R1 will be someone already entrenched in Oracle Fusion Middleware. It will take some time for ALBPM and old Fuego users time to transition over. I also think people may get frustrated with some quirkiness in R1. You may want to wait for R3. But I think you'll be happy with the capability and power contained in BPM 11g. It's be a bumpy start, but hold on. Things will get better.

You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Release strategy for Scheduling Agreement(SA)

Dear Forum,
This issue is with regards to the release strategy for Scheduling Agreement(SA)
Until now release has only been applicable to contracts at our client site. But we now plan to introduce it for SA as well. Such a feature is available in SAP but the problem is that with the given release strategy GR is not allowed until the release is affected. The system allows you to post the delivery schedule.
Now what I want is that after making the SA the system should not allow to make delivery schedule if release is not affected.
We also have MRP run at client site..Kindly suggest the procedure as, how to configure it.Are der any User Exit for the same,if so please discuss..

What's the SA Type that was created via MRP.
If it's LP (without release document), release will not do anything BUT
If it's LPA (release document), then you will not be able to Post the GR until release is affected.

Scheduling Agreement can be categories as
1) LP (without release document) and
2) LPA (with release document)
If use LP, you can do GR without release but with LPA, you need to release the schedule line via ME38.

My new iphone 4 wont power on does the battery have to charge first? It was shipped thru mail and took 7days to get here.I managed to turn it on once and shut it of because i had to put sim card in.Now it wont power on.

I tried holding down both buttons like everyone said and this doesnt work. My phone was shipped new from Ontario to Sask and took about a week to get here,Could it be because my battery is so low? And shouldnt it power on when it's plugged in or show a phone charging icon or have some lite on? My laptop won't even discover it when I plug it in. When I first took it out of the box i called virgin mobile.The lady told me to put sim card in because it did turn on at first and was asking for sim card so i put it in and all kinds of languages were displayed so i clicked on english and then then somehow shut the phone off because i wasnt familiar with it yet i have no idea how i shut it off.Anyway, I read a bit further and saw where the power button was and tried to turn it back on. No luck the apple logo appears with what looks like a hairline crack on the apple itself and a very thin blue bar no thicker than a pen stroke its about halfway right behind the apple logo like its going to power on but it doesnt, it just goes black.Then when I hold the 2 buttons down, the home button and the power button at the same time, the apple logo flahes on about every 3or4 seconds as tho its going to turn on but it doesnt, occasionally the bar comes up with the logo but not every time.What can I do? Will it work if I let it charge for a couple hours? Does it need a couple hrs and shud there at least be a charging icon showing me its charging??
