6234 Cutting out mid call

Hi,
I have a Nokia 6234 which is a couple of years old and it has begun to cut out during calls. When it cuts out the line goes dead, the screen goes completely white for about 10 seconds, then the usual screen returns but is frozen for about 10 seconds then the phone is OK. This can happen a number of times in one call
It isn't related to battery strength as it will do it irrespective of battery level.
Any ideas on why this happens?

I've had the reception (tinny, robotic voice, intermitent voice quality) since purchasing my iPhone 5 two days ago.
Yesterday I had to go to the Verizon store (sent there by online tech from Verizon). I was talking on my phone to a friend as I drove to the Verizon store and as I pulled into the parking lot of the store (with 5 full bars on 3G) the call got dropped and "Call Failed" showed up on the screen. I looked at the phone to make sure I had service and I did, full bars all the way ??

I have had problems with my 5 cutting out mid-call. It's happened several times with different callers, which makes me think it's my phone. It gives me the 'call failed' screen. There is no apparent reason for it - no signal drop, for instance - and so I wondered if this is a common problem or whether I have a duff phone and need to return it. Thoughts?

IPhone 3GS keeps cutting out mid conversation - anyone else?

I got my first iPhone around four months back. No one could hear me on the first handset, so I returned it. I couldn't hear anyone with the second handset, so returned that. The third one worked like a dream...until...the 4.0 upgrade came along.
Now it cuts out mid conversation and reboots itself, sometimes after two minutes, sometimes after five. If I'm lucky I can hit 10 minutes before it crashes.
I've got my forth handset arriving next Wednesday, but as a business user I find it ridiculous that Apple have created such a rubbish product. Buck your ideas up Apple! We pay a fortune for your products in the UK, and your reputation is getting badly damaged by your shoddy phones.
Anyone else having the same issues with your iPhone?

Dont make calls in low cell signal zones of more than 5 minutes,
Switch off the Spotlight Search options under the General Settings,
Switch off wifi, 3G, bluetooth before making a call,
kill all "multi-tasking" apps before talking to anyone.
Jailbreak using the web-based option if you have not installed iOS4.02.

My brand new iphone 5 cuts out during calls all the time, doesn't send mt text messages and then when it does it sends them twice?! why?? is it just apple or my network provider? bearing in mind my iphone 4 did exactly the same, so its a new handset sim

i have just updated my iphone 4 16gb to an iphone 5 16gb
The iphone 4 had horrific problems, for example: Cutting out on calls, it going silent, me not being able to hear the person i was speaking to and them being able to hear me, and then visa vera.. also the main button at the bottom started to break.. my text messages weren't sending and then when they did they would send several of the same one.. also with mixed messages in them.. some of the texts had been form ages ago and had been deleted anyway and bits of them would re appear in the middle of the text, but only show to the person recieveing the text.
I thought all of this might have been some water damage as i had nearly had it for 2 years... However on Tuesday.. ( 29th Jan) i recieved my new upgrade of the iphone 5.. i was so excited, but then today.. 2 days after recieving it, its starting to do EXACTLY the same things my old phone did... cutting me off, going quiet on the phone, not sending texts, then sending several ones... sending mixed texts. Safe to say i am fuming!!! i am with vodafone and rang them today asking why?! they said it couldnt be my handset as its a new one, couldnt be the sim because thats new too so it must be the area signal.. so she checked for me.. came back to me and said that the signal in my area is perfectly fine....?!?!?! that makes it even worse!!! so i have asked to return it....!! i was going to go with a different provider thinking that it was vodafone??but after looking on here it seems like its apple? i am very disappointed as i love everything else about the phone, but its impossible to have a phone like this! especially when i use it for work too!

My wife is having the same problems as a reciever. She works in a school as a teaching assistant and her teacher sends messages that are mixed with previous texts from ages ago.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem or is it only her and this poster?

The call initially works but then after a minute or so, they stop hearing me, even though I can hear them. Sometimes it goes the other way and I can't hear them.
Please advise how to remedy ASAP.

PS: I have had full reception bars when this has occured on a 3G network in Sydney, Australia (3 Mobile).

New iphone 4s speaker keeps cutting out on calls and have to put it on external speaker, this is happening to others I have called today with the same phone. Is there a fix?

My wife has a new 4s and quite often her phone speaker cuts out during a call and she has to put it on speakerphone. Telus tech support tells me this is a known issue yet there doesn't seem to be an update to the phone available in itunes yet. So far today we have talked to two other people who live in our area with the same phone and same issue. One went so far as to buy a jawbone for $150 to work around it not knowing it was a software issue. Is this a software fix or do we need to do a hardware swap? Is there a fix out or on the way?

My gf was having the same issues and also with a big echo every time I called her either from my 4S or even fron a land line as per other comments here. They told he to take it into the Apple store and they reset the software and now it's working fine.....so far.
Now today my bluetooth earpiece has decided to stop working for some unknown reason and then the last person that called me said my phone keep cutting out. I don't know whether that was because I had to turn off my bluetooth to answer the phone or what.
I suspect Apple will be sending out an update to fix some of these reported issues but in the meantime the local Apple store seems to be the only option. Just hoping I don't have to take that option as that would require a huge inconvenience for me as neither of the two stores in the Vanvouver area are remotely close to me.

Bluetooth cutting out during calls

Am having issues with my bluetooth (plantronics 320) cutting out while on calls. i have a treo 680 and the bluetooth cuts out frequently. have used other bluetooths and have had the same problem. the bluetooth does not disconnect just cuts out, if i hang up and call right back it works fine. anybody else having this problem

It sounds like the Bluetooth headset is not compatible with the device. To be sure check this list: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/680/att/solutions/article/41198_en.html.
Another possibility could be the headset itself is not working correctly. By any chance can you test this headset with another phone or Treo?

N73 - problem - sound cuts out in calls - please a...

Hi, I have an N73 and it's been fine (apart from the top of the joystick falling off and the charger just deciding to stop working) but now I have a major problem.
When I make a call or someone calls me the phone just cuts out all the time as if there is a very bad reception. I've made sure the reception isn't the case and it seems the person on the other end of the line can hear me fine. I've also tried turning the volume down, up, turning the phone on, off. It doesn't do this in every call, but I have to avoid using it because it will do it on at least 90% of calls! The phone is generally in good condition and I do look after it (I'm stuck with it for 18 months) I use this phone for work and it's embarassing and impossible sometimes, T-Mobile won't do anything and I'm very close to throwing it at a wall when it does this!
Anyone else got this problem? Anyone know what I can do?!

However if your phone doesnt have the latest FW, check it *#0000# upgrade it.
Or if it is havin, try reinstallin it.
Or, you can do a hard reset, *#7370#.
Next, if all of thses things fails, take trip to nokia care.

settings - wifi- click network name - enter password - join
if issue persists backup info and restore via itunes

FaceTime volume cutting out mid-conversation

In the middle of using FaceTime I all of a sudden can't hear the person I'm speaking with. They can hear me but I can't hear them. It's almost as if they've pressed mute but this isn't the case. This has happened with multiple people. Any advice? Thanks

Mic cutting out in SKYPE.

This is frustrating me to the point where I am making a forum post. I have had several mics in the past, all with the same problem. Currently using the logitech G930. When I talk in skype, my mic cuts out mid sentence, sometimes to the point where people can't understand me at all.
I know it is skype, because if i fraps a skype call and play it back (being windows sound is recorded, not skype), there is no cutting out; even though you can hear my friends clearly saying "You're cutting out, I can't hear you"

thanks, nope its not the case. But thanks for the suggestion. Phone will just cut out mid conversation - no change to how the phone is being held. Light detector seems to be functioning properly too. It happens during the conversation , not at the begining, so don't think it has been that. I have tried a hard reset and the toggling between airplane mode that I read about - doesn't seem to help

Sounds like something got corrupted during your upgrade.
I would restore from a last known good backup if I were you.
If that doesn't work I would set the phone up as new and re-install all of your apps and re-sync your music again.

Airtunes cuts out between songs

Hello,
Sorry if this has been addressed, I've searched and found a few people who have airtunes cutting out mid-track, but mine tends to cut out at the end of a track. I have to press stop then play and it starts again - only for it to stop again after two or three tracks. It's really annoying - I keep having to get out of the bath!
I'd be very, very grateful if anyone could help. I only set up my Airtunes network last week (I have three amps set up around a pretty small flat, each with an Airport Express attached), so have only ever used it with iTunes 7.

Sorry, I can't off you a solution, but I have this happening too, but during songs. This didn't used to happen. What I can say:
- MacBook Pro 2 GHz & PowerMac G4 466MHz
- iTunes 7.0.1 (both)
- AirPort Express with firmware 6.3
- MacOS X 10.4.8 (both)
- Quicktime 7.1.3 (both)
The MacBook Pro is wirelessly connected to a Belkin hub that then talks to the AirPort Express wirelessly. The PowerMac is connected to the hub by cable. The wireless portion use 40 bit WEP. This issue affects both computers.
I would try with an older version of iTunes to see if that makes a difference, but I don't have access to one, though having tried out AirFoil (by Rogue Amoeba), I suspect that the issue is either with the new AirPort Express firmware update or something that iTunes depends on, since it experiences the same symptoms.
