6288 firmware release notes

Hi all!
I have one problem with firmware v.6.10 (this ver. from official site\ NSU)
Applications list is empty always. And I cant change it.
So, the question is:
This problem was resolved in the next firmware ver. (6.43) ???
Some release notes with bug fixes are available???
Maybe anyone have next ver. installed, could you check this?!
I just want to add applications shortcuts to the GoTo menu.
PS 6.10 - 21/12/2006!!!!
How often new ver. are arrived????
Thanks in advance!

It is extremely rare that OS upgrade release notes are even leaked to the public, and most often only the carriers themselves are given any release notes.
So, no, there is no where to point you to. Your best bet is read other users' experience with the release version you intend to upgrade, check forums like Blackberryforums.com and Crackberry for threads whith more information.
Good luck.

  • Firmware Release Notes

My company has just received a number of new BB 9300's and I've noticed that the firmware isn't up to date on them.  So I've downloaded and installed the latest firmware (977), but can't find any release notes to say what's been fixed/improved.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Regards, AStaley.

  • E4200v2 Smart Wi-Fi Firmware release notes?

Does anyone have a link to the release notes of the latest firmware Ver.2.1.39.144146?
The release notes link at http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E4200  shows the License Agreetment instead
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You need to put a check mark on "I accept the terms & conditions" and click accept. It will then give you the release notes.

  • 6140 Firmware release notes

    Hi,
Are the release notes for the 6140 firmware available publicly anywhere?
Or a list of the changes in v7 vs v6 ( I saw raid6 was added but not sure what else.. )
    Thanks,
    Dan

You need to look at the Release Notes for CAM 6.1 (http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/820-4191-10/820-4191-10.pdf) which is the first version which brought the FW 07.xx.
    The major new features are:
    ■ RAID 6 (6140 arrays only)
    ■ >2TB LUN Support
    ■ Portable Volume Groups
    ■ Batch Volume Operations
    ■ 8K Cache Block size
The latest version of CAM is 6.4.0_10 and for the FW 07.xx it brings the revision 07.50.08.10.

    Hi
I have spa2002 with 3.1.5 firmware. Ive seen that a new firmware is available for download but no changelog attached.....
I need the release notes to decide wether upgrade or not.

Good luck.  They don't make it easy for you to find anything let alone something they want to entirely forget about and claim it never happened.
    For the SPA1001 try here.

  • WRT610N Firmware Release Notes

    Hi All,
Where can I find the release notes for the new firmware version? It is not clearly stated in the linksys website (http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT610N/download).
Even though I selected my hardware version 1.0, I can only see on the release note the v2.0 as the initial release (which is obvious that is not true).
    Regards,
    AK

The release notes are confusing. This firmware is supposed to be working on both hardware v1 and v2, but firmware v2.0 is about the 4th published firmware for the WRT610N v1. Hopefully, they will correct it so that users don't think they have mistakenly downloaded the v2 firmware (even though in this case they are the same).

  • Firmware release notes (re: backup) should be chan...

I have a Nokia E70 variant 2 (US) and have sucessfully upgraded the firmware and now have a mostly working phone. I posted some stuff about this in the smartphone forum, but this is definitely the better place to direct it:
    Step 2 of:
    http://nokiausa.com/support/software/update_via_pc_1
Directs the user to backup their data using Tools->Memory and backing up to your memory card. I did this, upgraded the firmware and then attempted to restore. Many things were missing/not working/half broken (no contacts, emails came over, but email settings cause messaging app to crash, etc etc).
As far as has been explained to me by Nokia phone support (and from lurking on these message boards) these instructions are not only inadequate, but misleading:
Backup data using the memory application (as I understand it) backs up using the structures of the old firmware and will happily restore that over the (sometimes different) structures of the new firmware. So things that didn't change (in my case sms and email messages) restore fine. But other things (application installation information, contacts, all sorts of settings, etc) will not work correct after the restore.
Can someone from Nokia comment on why this is the suggestion for backing up? Shouldn't there be direction to use the PC Suite (if available) or a 3rd party backup solution?
A phone nokia rep told me that the memory app will likely only restore EVERYTHING properly when used on the same firmware. Is this true?
I had two other posts relating to this

I agree with you completely and I don't understand the reason why Mozilla removed the link to the release notes which used to be on the Help menu. Here's the link you're looking for: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0.1/releasenotes/ but I had to use Google to find it.
Even so, you're likely to find a much more detailed info by going to one of the well known security sites like Heiss Security @ http://www.h-online.com/security/news/item/Mozilla-patches-Firefox-and-Thunderbird-1234784.html

  • Where to find release notes for firmware v20 of 58...

Anybody know where i could find the release notes for firmware v20? I wish to know what are fixed. Thanks!

Changelogs are considered confidential information by Nokia. You'll not see an official document reporting the changes made. What you might see is leaked documents on some websites, and you have to take those with a pinch of salt.

  • 2.1 firmware update listed signal strength display fix in its release notes

Summary to those who haven't read Apple's latest letter to iPhone 4 owners:
Apple is saying 'death grip' only affects the graphics of the signal strength not signal itself. Who accepts that? And will therefore fix this in the next firmware update.
But wait! This seems to be fixed in the 2.1 firmware update already!
    See 2.1 firmware update changelogs.
Google it, I don't want to post direct link as Apple may start pulling that information down.
    Message was edited by: Venomrush

Letter from Apple Regarding iPhone 4
    (emphasis mine)
    {quote}the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display *is totally wrong.*{quote}
    {quote}We will issue a free software update within a few weeks that incorporates the corrected formula. *Since this mistake has been present since the original iPhone*, this software update will also be available for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.{quote}
But the 2.1 firmware had in it's release notes as one of the improvements:
    {quote}improved accuracy of the 3G signal strength display{quote}
So in 2.1 they improved the accuracy of a totally wrong formula?
    Something is rotten in Denmark.

Why is MSI selling these cards with a firmware like this?
Why there is no updated firmware for download?

Where can i download a retail fw?

This is a user to user forum and MSI does not read or participate in these forums.
You need to contact MSI directly to get answers about this BIOS...
    I see... thank you.

But... why overclock a 6200 video card??? I really doubt that you get a better performance in games or 3D app's with this video card.

Trying to overclock a 6200 is like trying to Supe up a Yugo. What is the point, there is nothing you could do to it, to make it play today's games.
    Take Care,
    Richard
here are some articles about overclocking the 6200:

  • Firmware Versions 8.0(4)SR1 - Release notes

Hello I'm trying to find the release notes for the 8.04sr1 firmware. I clicked the link in the readme, and the page is not found on Cisco. Is there another place I can look to find the fixes in this release?

It is under the downloads page: http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-7900ser
Here is the direct link (you need a valid CCO): http://ftp-sj.cisco.com/cisco/voice/ip-7900ser/cmterm-7911_7906-sccp.8-0-4SR1-readme.htm

  • IPod Firmware Updates - Release Notes?

Does Apple release official 'Release Notes' with their software updates?
I was never able to find any 'What's New & Fixed' document on iPod Classic firmware updates v1.0.1 or 1.0.2.
Does anyone have any links to know what's new in 1.0.2?
I personally have a habbit of liking to read release notes before updating.
I know that 1.0.2 was a fix update, but would really like to know what exactly was fixed.
Please reply if you have any input.
    Thanks.

Looks like the new firmware fixes the Cover Flow problem that caused compilations with different artists to appear once for each artist.
However, it also looks like the firmware has introduced a new bug. For example, I have nine Emerson, Lake, and Palmer albums. When I look at these albums with the Cover Flow in iTunes, they correctly appear grouped together. However, when I look at these albums with Cover Flow on the iPod, those albums are split into three groups:
    - one group of six albums, at the correct place (among the artists beginning with the letter "E")
    - one group of one album (among the artists beginning with the letter "E", but near the end of the letter "E", out of alphabetical order)
    - one group of two albums (following artists beginning with the letter "G")
There is also another bug for a compilation album in my collection. It's a compilation where the "Album Artist" field is set to "Various Artist", and the "Sort Album Artist" field is set to "Jazz A Saint Germain". Each of the songs has a separate "Artist" and "Sort Artist" field as well.
With iTunes, Cover Flow shows the album at the correct place, among the albums with artists starting with "J". With the iPod, Cover Flow shows the album in the wrong place, towards the end of the collection. In addition, the album artist that is displayed by iTunes (correctly) is "Various Artists" but, on the iPod, it incorrectly shows "Angelique Kidjo", which happens to be the artist for the first song on the album.
Looks like that firmware needs a little bit more work...
Coverflow is the least of my worries with the 1.0.2 update; I'm in the apple store as I type & got a new replacement 160gb iPod Classic Black.
I hope that this new one works a lot better.
