6300 Blue Lights

Hi all
Yes my issue is with the blue lights on the side of the phone.
I have gone through every individual setting/profile and put it to lights off.
I have ensured I have no unread/unopened/unlistened to messages/voice mails. To the extent that I deleted every message sent, received, delivered, both text and voice.
Yet those blue lights stay on and constant. They obviously show up more in the dark which is annoying.
Anyone know how I can switch the side lights off please?
Thanks

Hi, May i suggest the follows:
- Reboot the phone: switch it off, remove the back cover and take the battery, the sim card and MMC out for a while (5-10 mins). Try again later
- Back up your personal data (especially ur contacts), then proceed for factory settings : Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > Security code (12345 by default)
- As last step, check the profile settings : Menu > Settings > Profile > General > Personalise > Light effects > Off
Hope the above helps

    Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if the blue lights on the side of the 6300 that blink when you have a missed call etc, can be speeded up so that they blink quicker?
    Possibly through some software etc?
    Thanks,
    Jon
Sorry, you cannot change the way they work.

  • Nokia 6300 blue lights stay on

my phone got wet. after drying it turned on but the blue lights stay on.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

try a soft reset of the whole phone, remember to backup all your data first. also before doing that, place your phone in a container of rice (sounds crazy, but it works), for the rice to absorb any excess water that may have got inside your phone. let us know how it goes.

  • Nokia 6300 - Blue Lights Always Faintly On ??

    Hi there
I have a nokia 6300 and I'm not sure what the deal is but when I lock the phone and it goes to sleep mode, the blue LED lights on the side are faintly/half on
    Why is this?

    Hi,
Not entirely sure about this but I think it is similar to N81/N96/5610 light function - does the blue led breatheThat's the term). It is normal for the led to breathe since it is mainly used as an indicator and for notifications - perhaps something used to beautify the phone?

  • 6300 - blue lights stuck on!

The two blue lighs have been stuck on for over a week now, they arent even flashing, they are just constantly lit. Has anyone else experienced this?

The Nokia 6300 has a lot of hidden features (AKA bugs) I guess this is one of them. If a software update does not cure the problem then you need to take the phone to a Nokia Service Center and they can help you with it.

  • Nokia 6300 can not swich on, only blue lights on t...

    Hello,
I have left my nokia 6300 in the rain. After that I couldn't turn on my mobile. I left the phone to dry for a couple of weeks. It does nothing when you put it in the charger. When I put in my SIM-card, the lights on the side of the phone turn blue, but the phone doesn't swich on. The blue lights stay blue for approximately 2 minutes, then they slowly fade out. What does this mean?

the only thing you can do in your situation is to take your phone to your local Nokia Care Centre for them to take a look at.

  • Nokia 6300 - Blue flashing side lights

    Hi All,
This might sound like a really daft question, but I have had my phone now for under a week and all works fine with it even though I have read a number of post on this forum regarding this phone.
The question that I would like to ask is as follows:
I am sure that when I first got the phone two blue lights on the side of the phone would flash every 2 or 3 seconds. I don't know what I have changed and I have looked through the owners manual but now these lights have stopped flashing. Have I turned something off or is this a fault in the phone.
Any help or information would be appriciated.
    Cheers,
    Fred:-)

    Hi there,
dhkhan has give a very clear understanding of the Blue flashing side lights. Thanks khan.
I had the Light Effects turned OFF and was wondering why it didn't flash. I had been to the Nokia Care Point and they said it must be something to do with the software/hardware and it would cost a minimum of Rs.350. I had the phone back from them in amazement and only then the Nokia Discussion forum struck my mind.
    Thanks once again Khan.

  • 6300 flashing blue lights when turned off!

I've had a problem recently, I turn my phone off, and the blue lights flash quickly, and the phone is discharged by morning. I'm currently having to leave it on all the time and charge it.
I've removed battery and sim and re-sat them.
    Any ideas?
When I do turn it on again, it seems to freeze on the black screen saver for a while too.
What error message are these flashes indicating?
    Thanks in advance...

The notification lights are a red-herring, they normally flash when the phone is switched on/off.

  • HELP ME Please ! No Blue Lights on both of my WRTU54G-TM Routers behind a WRT54GX2 Router

I've had this configuration installed and working for the past two months as such:
Motorola Cable Modem - COX Cable ISP - 15Mbps down / 5Mbps up ; actual rated is higher on speedtest.net
Linksys Router - WRT54GX2 (I'll refer to this as main Router)
Linksys T-Mobile Router - WRTU54G-TM - with 2 SIM cards (this is VOIP router 2 for two lines)
Linksys T-Mobile Router - WRTU54G-TM - with 1 SIM card (this is VOIP router 1 for one line)
    Network Topology:
Main Router:     192.168.2.1    router mode ;  DHCP ON; Wireless ON - SSID: alpha
VOIP Router 2:  192.168.2.2   bridged mode; DHCP off; Wireless ON - SSID: beta
VOIP Router 1:  192.168.2.3   bridged mode; DHCP off: Wireless off
Both VOIP Routers connected from Internet Port on Router to LAN port on a 10/100 switch
All of this was working fine for the past two months, it even survived some Southern California power outages and came back with flying colors; UNTIL YESTERDAY...... VOIP Router 1 blue light ceased in the morning - Troubleshot it myself and then with tmobile/Linksys and verdict was a defective modem.  VOIP Router 2 was still going strong UNTIL I decided to power cycle it to see if that would help with VOIP Router 1; well the blue lights never came back on;  To make a long story short - after pulling my hair out and talking to tmobile/Linksys again; I was able to get the blue lights to come on both VOIP Router 1 and VOIP Router 2 if I connected one of them directly to the cable modem and the other VOIP Router  2 directly to VOIP Router 1.  I also did a hard reset on both VOIP routers back to factory defaults (did this before as well). Now,  I can't even have a switch between VOIP ROUTER 1 and 2 and get a blue light on the second one.  What in the world could be causing this, does anyone have a clue?
Now you may ask why do I need it setup like I had it originally, Cable Modem is downstairs ; Main Router downstairs was in place to isolate the Network from the VOIP Routers in case I needed to reboot the VOIP routers - which I had to do a few times in those two months. So I still had Internet access in the house when I rebooted the VOIP routers.  I also wanted my phones upstairs, not downstairs and that is where the VOIP routers were situated.
I've searched thru this forum and googled elsewhere, but haven't found any solutions that work.
So can anybody help ?????  TIA

OK, Here's an UPDATE, I believe that I have found a firmware bug in the WRTU54G-TM  v1.00.21 code.
In order to get the blue lights on two WRTU54G-TM Routers, VPN - IPSEC passthru must be enabled on the 1st Router, or else the blue lights will not come on the 2nd Router.
fyi...  I have 3 sim cards in the 2 Routers for 3 phone lines, 1 Sim card slot is empty.
I reset both WRTU54G-TM Routers to factory default and plugged one  directly in to the cable modem and the second WRTU54G-TM into the first.  I rebooted the cable modem and routers in order and in a few minutes, I had 3 blue lights for voice on the routers (YES!).  Ok, so now I tried reconfiguring the Routers the way I want them.  I only need wireless on one of them, not both, so I turn off the wireless on the first router, I also disable all 3 VPN passthrough options on both routers and disable the firewall on the 2nd router.  Now I lose the blue lights on the 2nd Router.   Well after some troubleshooting, I have found that the IPSEC VPN passthru option MUST be enabled on the 1st Router to get the blue lights on the 2nd Router.  I have reproduced this very easily by disabling the IPSEC on the first Router and the blue lights will go off on the 2nd Router -  I have to re-enable the IPSEC on the 1st router and reboot the 2nd Router for the blue lights to come back on the 2nd Router.
    Thanks, Tom

  • My ZEN 8GB always have that blue light glowi

I just installed it and was upadting everything. Now I did the Firmware update last and at the end, it said ''Rebooting player...'', I did saw my player close but never re-opened again. I waited 5 minutes. Screen still black and it has the blue light glowing like if it was charging even thought I fully charged it. Now the problem is my computer can't no longer detected it. But I can't turn on my player. I removed the USB cable and still has the blue light glowing. I can't do absolutely nothing with my player except staring at he blue light and the black screen. Help please.Message Edited by SimonMK on 2--200707:4 PM

I pushed the Reset button. It did close my player but when I turn it on, I see the Creative and ZEN title but it goes back to a black screen and has that blue light glowing again. I thought the battery were over so I reset it again. And plug it in my computer. My player automatically turn on and do the same thing. It doesn't recharge the battery since I see no icon of the battery on the screen.

  • Pearl won't boot up with blue light?

I have a pearl and last night the screen went dead and the blue light turned on.
I have taken the battery out and as soon as I replace the battery, the blue light comes on.  Doesn't even attempt to boot.
    Any ideas?

Blue light means bluetooth connection is established. That's strange.

  • Ipad 2 screen randomly gone blank shows dark blue light up but no apple logo upon restart and remains the same.

    Hey
So I left my Ipad 2 on charge and it was working absolutely fine. Later on when I came in the room to check up on it, it had a blank screen and the Ipad was lit in the background as it was giving off the dark blue light but nothing on the screen would come up. I tried shutting it down using the power button and the home button yet nothing. Even the Apple logo would not appear. I just recently upgraded to IOS 6. I'm not sure what exactly caused this as it was working fine just a few hours ago. I've tried connecting to itunes held down the power and home button nothing seems to be working. Also I no longer have the warrenty.
Not sure what to do now

    Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.

  • WRE54G after reset only 1 blue light, no activity light

I have spent a lot of frustrating hours trying to setup my newly bought expander WRE54G.
    Issues:
    1. I could not find my expander by typing 192.168.1.240
    2. So, I tried one of the reset tips I found here, by holding the reset button for 30 seconds, unplug it while pressing down reset, wait 15 secs, while holding reset and turn on power again, and then wait further 10 seconds.
    3. After having tried this, when I turn it on, there is only one blue light on the link button, no light on the activity, and I could not see my expander at all on the wifi network. (A normal reset would give me a red light on the link & a blue flashing light on the activity, and I was able to see my expander on the network)
Is there any way to undo what I did with the reset tip? I really want to restore it to factory defaults.
My WRE54G does not say whether it is V1 or V2, so I guess it is V1?
    Anyone please help!!!

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am having the same issue.
