If you've lost your security code then your only option is to take the phone and proof that you are its owner along to your nearest Nokia Care Point.
They will reset the security code to the default 12345 for you. Make sure you do a full backup first, though, because the operation may well entail resetting the phone entirely.
Proof of ownership is required in order to demonstrate that you're not trying to have a stolen phone unlocked. You will need the invoice with the phone's IMEI number and your name printed on it, and photo ID.

I think the only way to change it is to take it to your nearest Nokia Service Centre though I would take proof of purchase with you if you can - just in case they ask for it...

The default security/lock code is 12345 on most Nokia models.
If you or someone has changed it, then you could try updating the phone firmware (all data will be lost):

If that doesn't help, ask your nearest Nokia repair center for assistance.
And in the meanwhile, if you can't get your phone working, put your SIM card in another phone so you don't miss your important calls.

I cant download anything it says i need to view my billing information but i lost my security code.

Instead of dealing with a lost card, purchase iTunes gift cards which can be redeemed for iTunes purchases. You can't use the billing information from that card without a Security code.

HT1918 lost card security code

i am trying to update my itunes account credit card info....its requiring me to list the secuirty code on the back of my OLD card, which i lost and is why i am trying to update the account with my new credit card number....
Since i lost it i obviously don't know the security code on the back of it...help!

because i just accessed the itunes account from a new computer its asking that i first verify with the security code to my credit card to regain access to the account...i should have mentioned that in my earlier post. help!

i'm having difficulties to unlock my pad, after forgotten and typing my code several times.

If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock your iPad then you will need to connect it to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via computer that it hasn't been synced, and which therefore doesn't have a backup on it, then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

Nokia 6300 security code

can any one help me in finding default "call barring password"
i read the FAQ of nokila web site for model 6300 it says default security code for nokia 6300 is "12345" where as when i try to activate call barring service it asks for " barring password" and takes only 4 digits please help me in finding the call barring password thanks

On a serious note.
If you have forgotten the code then you need to take it to a Nokia Care Point where they are able to remove it for you.
They will also remove all personal data stored on the phone at the same time as it needs completely erasing.
You will usually need a proof of purchase to prove the phone isnt stolen and you are trying to access it, and they will probably charge you for it as its not a warranty fault.

For a service centre, check the Nokia web site for your country, under "support".
Before you do that, if you personally have not changed the security code, there is something else that you can check:
I have recently heard that some operators change security codes when they apply SIM-locks. If they do this, the code will appear on the label on the box containing all of the info like the IMEI numbers; though not necessarily shown as a security code. That would be too easy!
In the example I say, the label on the box of an operator-variant Nokia phone had an extra code close to the IMEI number which was an operator-changed security code.Message Edited by mccbleue on 25-Sep-200705:22 PM

Trying change my credit card info from previously lost credit card but can't since it says I'm accessing from new device and asks for security code for a card i no longer have. What can I do?

I've recently gotten a new laptop and replaced my damaged iphone. Apparently these 2 scenarios qualify as "new devices". This is fine but I also had lost my credit card previously that was connected to my iTunes account, and got a new one with all different numbers. When I try to change my billing information to this new card it won't let me because it says
"Your account has been accessed from a new device, and you must verify your payment information before you can make purchases."
and it asks for the security code of the card I had lost and replaced! I am not able to change my billing info to my new card thus because I can't get past this.

I purchased a macbook pro but couldnt download apps. Facts:
1. I already have an apple ID with my Ipad, which has my old (prepaid) credit card number and security code as payment information
2. I lost my credit card including all info: card number, expiry, security card. I also didnt store it anywhere else and the CC company doesnt have my security code either because it's a prepaid/loadable card (not a real credit card).
3. I purchased a Macbook Pro and tried putting in new payment info. It didnt push through as it was asking me to key in my lost security code number
4. I opened my ipad and it was asking for the same thing bec my apple ID was accessed elsewhere with the attempt to change my payment info.
5. I couldt download and purchase apps because of this, i havent downloaded pertinent software for my new computer.
Could you please help me resolve this problem?

The Nokia account can't be used to unlock a phone that has a forgotten security code. If the default code (12345) isn't working, or if the code has already been changed, the best option is to have the phone reset at the Nokia Care Point. That refers to the 3 digit security code on the back of your credt card, not a security code for the iPad.

Sarah, you need to provide more information about the problem you're attempting to address and what it is you think you need to accomplish. The sketchy information you've provided doesn't tell us enough to be able to offer any suggestions. We don't know what you mean by "sharing two iTunes accounts" nor how that might apply to a "broken" iPhone. And I for one am completely baffled by the subject line you gave this post about "security code" and "lost box" which seems to have nothing at all to do with anything else you posted.

Lost my ipad/security code

I've lost my ipad. It is locked with the 4 digit security code but i had disabled the erase after 10 failed attempts feature so my question is. Whoever has found my ipad how many attempts will they get at trying the security code before my ipad completely locks down and has to be connected to a computer and restored that way. Also once restored by a computer/itunes i take it all my data will be erased and the finder will basically have a new ipad with settings as if out the box?

I believe it is the same 10 attempts, then locks out and requires a restore, if you have ios 7 and enabled the activation lock, they cannot format as new without the original Apple ID and password that were used., They then have an unusable blank ipad.

Secret code for what? Do you mean forgotten passcode? If so you need to restore with the computer and iTunes you used to back it up, so the restore will remove the passcode.
