6300, no longer connecting..properly. (through usb...

My phone used to connect fine and i transferred music to the supplied memory card just fine.
Then i bought a new 2gig micro sd card and suddenly it isn't anymore. (the phone sees the memory card and i can move stuff from phone to memory card (pics etc), i have also formatted the memory card)
I tried using the old memory card in the phone in case it was something wierd with the new one, but the phone just isn't being recognised.
When installing/uninstalling nokia pc suit it displays a massage saying there is a phone connected through cable and needs to be unplugged to continue(which i do)...so it knows it's there.
I've also uninstalled pc suit + drivers, then run a registry cleaner program - reinstalled everything and it hasn't worked.
This is really annoying, it was working fine..and now for no apparent reason it just isn't.
I'm using latest nokia pc suit (6.85), latest phone firmware, windows xp sp2.
Sorry it's such a long post, just trying to be thorough in giving relavent information.
-Thanks in advanced to anyone who tries to help. Have a cookie.

Hi,
Open windows device manager, what drivers there comes when you connect your phone?
And is there any question mark or unknown device?
Try also connect your phone without memory card.

i updated itunes 11.1 yesterday and now im trying to get my music on itunes to sync onto my iphone 4s but when i connect it through usb...Itunes is saying " waiting for changes to be applied"? so i dont know what to do cause i just want to sync my music from itunes to my iphone 4s

I had the same problem and the fix was so easy that I felt a little silly after spending 2 hours with an Apple Technician.  At the end of it all, what I had to do was make sure ALL music was deleted from my iPhone 5 by going into usage and clearing out the music folder.  All I had to do then was turn my phone off and turn it back on again.  I had not done this after my phone upgraded to the new 7.0 IOS.   What's the first thing you do when experiencing computer problems?  Reboot!   It fixed my problem and now my iPhone 5 synchs perfectly when I had it connected to my computer.  I am also on iTunes version 11.1.

  • Connecting iPhone through USB hub

I have a weird problem. When I connect the iPhone through a USB hub, nothing happens. It doesn't synchronize, it doesn't charge. When I connect the iPhone directly to the computer, with the same cable, it works as supposed.
The weird thing is, I have been connecting the iPhone successfully through this (powered) hub for half a year. But suddenly it doesn't work. Everything else connected through the hub works fine.

You're going to want a USB hub that comes with an AC adapter: the iPhone will draw as much power from the port as it reasonably can, and prefers up to 1 A (USB spec is 500 mA) at 12 V to charge as quick as possible. This tends to lead to undervolt situations on the bus when other devices suddenly draw more (a mouse wakes up, a HD spins up, et cetera).
I use my iPhone 3G with a dock on a USB hub that's powered, and have had minimal issues. This isn't an endorsement, just FYI.

  • Trouble connecting USB6211 through USB Extender

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to connect USB 6211 to my computer using USB 2.0 Extender Over Cat5 (From TRIPP-LITE). However, it is not recognising the device. Everytime I try to connect,it says, the 'USB frmware loader'  failed to install properly. The hub by itself works when I connect usb memory stick to it. I have Daqmx 9.5.5 installed on the computer.
Has anyone faced any similar issue? I would really appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thanks!
Kudos are (always) welcome for the good post. :-)

    Hello odessy27,
Will your computer recognize the device without the extender?  Make sure it is working properly before trying to extend its range.
At this time, I do not believe there is a recommended USB conversion or extension device.  It is possible the device you are trying to use is simply incompatible with the NI USB-6211  I found quite a few threads on the forums expressing difficulties in similar situations.  Here are a few of the more useful ones:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Does-NI-offer-USB-extension-solutions/m-p/381873?requireLo...
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/USB-extension-cable-too-much/td-p/768444
    http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4473/
One thread in particular mentioned this product had worked for them in the past:  http://www.digi.com/products/usb/anywhereusb
What are you trying to accomplish with your USB converter?  Are you simply trying to extend the cord of your USB device, or do you wish to network the device in some manner?

  • My iPhone 4 no longer connects properly to my car stereo.

It charges fine and I can control the iPod through the stereo controls, but the sound comes out of the phone, not the speakers. How can I fix this?

When i connect my ipod touch via usb cable it does not appear in itunes.  The screen is frozen with a picture of itunes an arrow and a ubs cable.  What does this mean?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes.

  • Switch wireless drive to connected directly through USB

Hello, hoping someone has a clue as to how to accomplish this:
I have a USB drive which I connected to my iMac and shared wirelessly to backup my MacBook Pro.
After several weeks of pain I decided to connect the drive directly to the MacBook.
TM will not recognize it. There is a MacBookPro.sparsebundle image in the drive that if I double click will mount the drive that the MacBook used to backup.
Great! I can even see my older backups there, half the battle won.
The problem: I can't get TM to recognize this disc as the one it was backing to before, even though it allows me to go into TM to recover backups!!!
Is there a way to get TM to recognize this disc and use to to continue backing up and not have to create a whole new backup branch?
    Thanks.

No, sorry, Time Machine cannot back up from a network location.
Does anybody have other suggestions (without having to buy any more gear) for storage/back-up that don't require that I plug that external HD to a computer every time I want to access the data?
The 3rd-party apps CarbonCopyCloner and ChronoSync (and probably others) can back up from a network location.

  • Any hopes for isync 3.0 connect 5310 through usb?

    bluetooth is darn slow >!!

Depends how you define "slow" and what other factors you consider...
I find USB syncing much slower overall, when taking into account the time taken in locating the cable (its never where I left it!), plugging the cable into a free USB port (if one is free), plugging the other end of the cable into the phone, switching the phone into USB mode, waiting for the Mac to 'see' it, then clicking 'Sync'. Then, after waiting for it to sync (quickly!) removing the cable, and waiting for the phone to go back to 'normal' mode before I can use it.
With Bluetooth I just turn it on (3 button presses on the phone) and click 'Sync' on the Mac and walk away with my phone in my pocket while its still syncing. You can't do that with USB!

  • HT1363 Got iTunes 11.0.2 and iPod classic. ITunes no longer connects to iPod - wiped all contents and there is no way to re-connect - is this normal?

Got iTunes 11.0.2 - as far as I know the latest version. My iPod classic no longer connects - gone through all on the "help" still won't work. There is nowhere with the word "device" and the iPod has now been wiped clean. Is this normal with the new version?

You might want to try connecting to another computer with an older version of iTunes. If it connects, reformat it straight away just in case before adding your songs back in. Otherwise, you might want to seek for help at the official iTunes stores in your country. Chances are that the iPod might be corrupted, though iTunes being the problem can't be ruled out either.

  • Iphone (5c) no longer connects iTunes to bluetooth since recent Apple iphone update

iphone (5c) no longer connects iTunes through bluetooth since latest update (8.1.2)

    Hi Jill4547,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're not able to sync your iPhone to iTunes wirelessly, or Bluetooth connections are not working as expected.
The iPhone syncs wirelessly to iTunes using a Wi-Fi connection. If you haven't been able to sync wirelessly since updating to iOS 8.1.2, you can use the steps in this article to check your sync settings in iTunes:

  • Problem in connecting my phone USB

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just purchase 3 Lumina 822 Windows phone under Verizon.  2 of the phones have the following problem, the 3rd operates fine.
Connecting to any laptop, have tried several Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptops, the phone is shown in the file manager tree as "Windows Phone", but nothing showing underneath. Spoke with Verizon support, tried soft reset - no change. Then tried hard reset, after reset, the laptop can see all the folders under the phone, i.e. photos, videos, documents, etc...., but all folders are empty underneath, even though there are files in these folders.  Disconnecting and reconnecting the usb cable results in the folders going away. If I try to copy/paste a file into the phone directory, he complains with "Cannot copy item, The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" even though the cable is connected.
Verizon contacted Nokia, no bulletins out on this issues, even though I have 2 of 3 phones with same symptoms. Told to return to Verizon for a  new phone.
I have a strong, compelling reason to stay with Windows phones and I'd REALLY like to have some confidence that the next phone will work, but am hesitant to a) pick up 2 new Nokia Lumina 822s and b) keep the 3rd working phone, in fear of the same symptoms occuring. The main reason for staying Windows is I've gone Windows 8 on a couple new HP Envy X2s and would like a seamless setup and sharing.
Please tell me that I'm not the first one to experience this issue, or you will work directly with me to help resolve. Let's face it, not being able to connect through USB is a showstopper, kinda self-defeating to seamless isn't it? I've invested now into Nokia, I hope you will invest the time with me.
Verizon's only other option currently, is the HTC Windows phone.
    Please help soon.

  • No Longer Connects through

I just recently reinstalled Documents to Go and transfered several files to the card.
After this transfer, my TX will no longer connect to my computer through the usb cable or the usb cable/cradle.
When I place the TX in the cradle and turn it on, it appears to try to connect. Ttwo tones are eturned from the computer, (showing it is trying to connect - I beleive) then immediately returns three tones (showing that connection was not established - I believe).  These sequence of sounds repeats continually every 7 or so seconds.  Connection is never established.
    Any suggestions?

Do you see the hot sync icon (circle with red and blue arrows) on the bottom right of your computer screen? Is there an arrow with the option to "show hidden icons"? If you do not see it there, hot sync will be disabled and you will keep getting that message (the connection between your device and the desktop could not be established...). To enable the hot sync program once again, click on Start > Programs/All Programs > Palm OS Desktop/Palm One > Hot Sync Manager. It will take about 5-10 seconds and the icon will be there once again. Now the sync should go through.

  • USB not connecting properly 8800

I can no longer connect using USB to Blackberry Desktop Manager. Although the Device Connected (PIN) is showing correctly I can no longer synchronise or backup/restore etc. The 8800 is charging through the USB OK too. Tried different PCs and different USB cables. Is there a setting on the Blackberry I have inadvertantly changed perhaps?

Remove the battery and reboot the BB. Leave it powered on for the battery pull.
    For the USB cable...
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

  • I tried for update but when i saw the screen its showing an arrow with a USB cable towards itunes icon, and now i'm not able to do anything, i also tried to connect ipad through my laptop but no use

i tried for update but when i saw the screen its showing an arrow with a USB cable towards itunes icon, and now i'm not able to do anything, i also tried to connect ipad through my laptop but no use

That message means that you have to restore the iPad now. There was a problem with the update. So connect the iPad to your computer and restore your iPad.
You can read bout it here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
If that does not work you will need recovery mode. You can read about it here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
Or you can follow these Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
    Use iTunes to restore iPad.
