6300 not accepting stereo headsets

Hi!
I'm having a problem with my 6300. It won't accept stereo headsets. Stereo headphones or mono headsets are fine, but neither the HS-44/AD-44 or Third Party products with the AD-52 are working, yielding the ever same "Enhancement not supported" after probing shortly with some clicking sounds.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
Axel

It is probably not compatible if they don't have the Treo model number on their website.
I would suggest using a Palm 2in1 pro headset. Here is a link to the Palm website for the headset. This is designed to work with Palm devices.

  • Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 buttons not working in...

I couldn't get Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 buttons working in Music player.
Anyone know how to enable the buttons on the headset. I want to use the play/stop/FW/BW buttons on the headset
    Many thanks again

You'll be thoroughly thrilled to know that the N900 does not support complex headsets..
I have a pair of BH905 nokia headphones, frequently shown in official N900 videos being used with a cable..
Unfortunately when plugged into the phone using the cable, the buttons do not work.. in fact I don't believe you can use it has a headset via the cable..
Via bluetooth however, they work marginally better (the headphones crash)
Apparently headset support was removed in favor of TV out.. so head sets with multiple buttons just don't work..
I believe the only headsets that actually work as expected are the ones that ship with the n900..
I must admit, for all its faults, this was the one thing that irritated me most about this incredible media rich by peripheral crippled phone!
    Bad luck, I'm afraid!

  • Stereo Headset (HS-47) not working on Nokia 6650 (...

The manual claims the 2.5mm connector on the phone is for a combatible stereo headset. The Nokia US website does not indicate any compatible headset. The manual does show a HS-47 headset as an accessory. I ordered a HS-47 with the result that only one (the right) speaker works. I returned the HS and received a replacement. Same problem. Is there a setting in the phone that enables the second channel? What did AT&T do to this Phone??? First they took the FM radio out, now you can't even listen to music (it is a music phone) on a stereo headset?

I haven't given up yet.   Here's what Nokia tech support said:
Although it is not listed on the web address I am sure that the Nokia Hs-49 wired headset will function properly with your Nokia 6650
Armed with that information, I looked up all compatible phones with the HS-49 headset, since my real goal is to find a working adapter for the Nokia 6650 Fold.
The HDA-11 2.5mm to 2.5mm TTY adapter apparently is compatible with the Nokia 6650 Fold.  Nokia Tech Support says when queried specifically about this adapter.
"I am pleased to advise you that our Nokia HDA-11 Adapter is compatible with your Nokia 6650 Fold."
My real goal, however, is to be able to use my Sennheiser headphones (3.5mm jack) with this phone.
Googling the HDA-11 has produced this thread on AT&T:
    http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=nokia&message.id=48856
Note that the HDA-11 doesn't do the 2.5mm to 3.5mm job directly, it just provides a 2.5mm jack that you can ostensibly plug a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter into.  Since I already have one of these (I bought it when I bought the phone naively thinking that it would allow me to use my headphones) , I've ordered the HDA-11 and will see if the thread listed above also applies to the 6650 Fold.
It's amazing to me that Nokia doesn't provide any way to adapt a standard 3.5mm headphone to this jack.
It's also incredible that they list virtually nothing compatible with the headphone jack on this phone on their website.
Equally frustrating is that Nokia seems to have no interest in fixing any of the above.
Stay tuned to this thread.  I'll let y'all know when I get the HDA-11 jack + the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter lets me use my headphones with this poor excuse for a music phone.

  • I have an original 8Gb iPhone, I bought the stereo headset at Bestbuy but it could not adjust the volume of what I heard from the stereo headset, why is that happen?

Try deleting your hotmail account and then adding it back as an Outlook account instead of "other". It worked for me.

  • Stereo Headsets not always compatible?

I recently purchased a Jabra headset that plugs into my palm and has the capability to switch from music to incoming calls.  Its specifically a stereo headset, problem is only one side produces sound.  I dont understand that is something is specifically a cell phone stereo headset, why only one side working?  Is it possible that Jabra isnt compatible?  I returned the first pair thinking it was defective, but I recieved my replacement and its doing the same.  I recieved it new from a 3rd party seller and I tried looking on Jabras website, but my model doesnt even exist to them.  What can I do to fix this????

  • HT3563 How do I change a bluetooth profile on my macbook pro from headset to headphone (a2dp) audio only so it will not conflict in my multipoint stereo headset shared with my iphone.

I have a LG HBS-700 bluetooth stereo headset and "in order to access Multi-Connection mode, at least one of the two devices you are trying to connect to the HBS-700 must be able to select a profile, OR one of the two devices must only support one profile (Either Headset/Hands-Free or A2DP/AVRCP). For example: Two handsets which support both the Headset/Hands-Free and A2DP/AVRCP profiles cannot be connected to the HBS-700 simultaneously. But, one handset supporting Headset/Hands-Free/A2DP/AVRCP and a Bluetooth Stereo Dongle supporting only A2DP/AVRCP is OK".

Backup your computer. You may have to replace the HD.

  • HP Digital Stereo Headset Not Detected

Recently my HP Digital Stereo Headset (Model) VT501AA stopped being detected by my HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC after upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. I have tried plugging the headset into all four USB ports on the notebook with negative results. The headset is still working as I am able to use it on another netbook PC that I have. Hi, Boomer73.
I've been experiencing the same problem with my HP Digital Stereo Headset (Model) VT501AA on my HP ENVY TouchSmart m6 Sleekbook. I never used the headset before upgrading to Windows 8.1, but now I can see just there is where the problem lies.
I'd be great if somebody could help us to troubleshoot this issue.

  • Bluetooth n95 not working with headset

i have recently bought the motorola s9 bluetooth stereo headset. there are a couple of problems. it works fine to connect for the first time using the code on the phone. then if i turn the headset off and on it connects and immediatly disconnects. this is a problem but not a major one.
the biggest problem is the music cuts out all the time for a couple of seconds. i have tried placing the phone right next to the headset and it stil happens. i have read the other n95 forums and see this is very common with the new firmware (i had already installed new firmware so i dont know if this happened on the old firmware).
does anyone else have this problem with another headset or can anyone give me a solution. how often does firmware come out. and is it possible to delete the new firmware.

Same problem here, unfortunately - iPhone 3G & 3.0 do not work with both the SHB6100 and SHB7100 by Philips.
    Philips SHB6100 + iPhone 3G 3.0: A2DP *does not work*
Philips SHB6100 + Nokia and SE phones: A2DP works
    Philips SHB6100 + MacBook Leopard: A2DP works
    Sony DR-BT30Q + iPhone 3G 3.0: A2DP works
Complaining here, however, is not really going to help as these are user to user forums and there is nothing users can do to fix this. Please report this issue at the Apple iPhone Feedback page @ http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Can you use the mic of a bluetooth stereo headset on an iPod touch 2G w/ fi

    Hi guys.
I have a Dell bluetooth stereo headset with mic incorporated.
I want to use this to have conversations with my iPod touch, using voip software.
Can this be done? I'm asking because when I pair the headset with my iPod, the new voice notes app says I don't have any mic.
In case it can't be done, can I use my headset with an added mic, connected to the audio plug in in the touch? I referring to something like this:

  • Surround sound not working on headset

I have the Corsair Vengeance 2000 wireless 7.1 headset for 3 years now.
In Windows I had some driver issues and in Linux I never really bothered and forgot about it.
So this headset supports surround sound, it's even in the product name, but Linux won't output it.
PulseAudio shows the following entries for the headset:
    - Digital Output (S/PDIF) Vengeance 2000
    - Analog Output Vengeance 2000
Both of these only show the "Balance" slider, and a greyed out/disabled "Fade" and "Subwoofer" channel. When testing, it only shows left and right channels to test.
Alsamixer only shows a "PCM" channel of which I can change volume, but nothing else. From what I understand it should show all 8 channels that come with 7.1 surround.
It also says the chip is "USB Mixer".
    pamixer --list-sources
    2 "alsa_input.usb-Corsair_Vengeance_2000-00-V2000.analog-mono" "Vengeance 2000 Analog Mono"
    10 "alsa_output.usb-Corsair_Vengeance_2000-00-V2000.iec958-stereo.monitor" "Monitor of Vengeance 2000 Digital Stereo (IEC958)"
By some Googling I found this, but sadly it didn't help.
So it seems Alsa is not recognizing the headset as 7.1 surround capable. How can I fix this?

Most of those "surround" headsets only have two channels, and the "surround" sound is emulated by the driver, which I guess does not have a linux version.
This is probably the reason why you only see a stereo device - it's what it is on the the hardware level. What the linked "solution" does is, it tells pulseaudio to use 8 channels per default and  enables remixing both regular channels and LFE. This leads to pulseaudio downmixing the 8 channels to 2 to match the numbers of your speakers. Essentially, this is what the windows driver should be doing, so if it sounds different, it's probably a matter of different implementation/enhancements the dolby driver includes.
Bottom line: you can't have 8 channels on a device which only has 2 channels on the hardware level. This is why I went for a Roccat Kave back then - it has 6 physical speakers, 3 on each side.

  • Bluetooth stereo headsets for E61i?

As E61i does not support A2DP there are no Nokia bluetooth stereo headsets available. But are they totally incompatible or just working mono then? Asking because my notebook supports A2DP and I just need ONE headset for both...

    Hi,
I think that the adapters are the same. You just need to check that both support stereo sound and look about the same.
And of course, you can always go to a shop and test them. (Which is probably best in any case, since what might be the best for someone might not be best for everyone else.)

    sir ,
As per you have told that the company will give nokia stereo headset wh 108. i have searched so many times on google but there is BH 108 not stereo wh108 please send me an image of that headset. i'm really waiting for this phone to purchase. my e mail ID is [email protected]

    hi stranger,
The accessory you are referring to hasn't been released yet, and most likely will be released in the sales package contents of the Lumia 620. It may be provided as a standalone accessory in time, but sometimes these accessories are provided FIRST in the sales package contents, then LATER as a standalone accessory. I wouldn't panic just yet

  • Nokia Stereo Headset HS-45, AD-43 Problems need h...

    HI
After purchasing my N95 I noticed that my Nokia Stereo Headset HS-45, AD-43 for some reason don't work. I can hear sound but all buttons wont work . Can someone tell me how to check is this think working or not. Because I just get burnd from http://www.myworldphone.com/
    Thank's

I don´t understand how Nokia put this battery in this place, not is very easy of change.
1)- Remove the center pin of the clip. Its a small pin that stay into the clip (axis). Need a small needle or similar. Need make carefully but very hard pressure to extract from this place. Take care when quit that don´t loose the spring.
2)- After remove the pin, under this place, you can found a small phillips screw. Remove it.
3)- After remove the screw, with a very thin needle, you can put a bit of pressure into to extract the silver buttons front.
4)- Now be TOO CAREFULLY. Align the LOCK button to can extract the circuit board. TAKE TOO MUCH CARE BECAUSE IN THE CORNER HAVE TOO SMALL CABLES.
5)- After remove the board you can easy see the big CR-2032 battery. The battery are glued to the frame. Remove. Put a new battery glued (by example with the double surface 3M tape red) and close the unit.
I already make this procedure and my unit work fine again!!!

  • My tv does not accept the connector that my apple tv has

my tv does not accept the connector that my apple tv , what can I do?

You'd need to look for an HDMI to RCA adapter of some kind - as the RCA connectors are generally for standard definition video and stereo audio, the picture quality may not be great as AppleTV really expects an HD TV of 720p or more.  You would have more issues if the TV is not widescreen as well.
I can't really recommend an adapter for those connections as I've never used one.  The annoyance with HDMI is despite offering good quality, adapters are frowned upon by the media 'industry' who don't want anyone being able to record/copy via analogue connections.
I'd maybe look on Amazon in your country or e-bay for something, but as I say you can't guarantee it would work.
The AppleTV 1 had analogue connections but that was component video (as well as HDMI) not really composite (yellow RCA) though some reported some kind of 'hack' that allowed one of the component RCA connections to output composite signal.  That model is discontinued and really doesn't support many of the newer features.
Current AppleTVs are not an ideal mix with modern TVs I'm afraid.   You may not want a new TV but rather than trying to find an adapter it might be worth considering an entry level HDMI TV as they are far cheaper these days.
