6300 ring tone volume

Does anyone else think that the maxium ring tone volume on the 6300 seems low ?

This is not entirely a 6300 thing. Most of the s40v3 phones are lower than previous Nokia's...s40v1&2 are louder.
I own a 6300, made in Hungary and my phone is ok where volume is concerned. I updated it to 5.50 and it seems louder. When I'm in the office I have to turn it down. The default Nokia ring on my phone seems much louder these days.
As SPEEDO944 said, you can use a video ringtone which will ring at maximum volume. Other than that you can always download loud MP3 rings and use them as your ringtones.

Speaker system for 5300 to improve ring tone volum...

The ring tone volume for my Nokia 5300 is preset and cannot be changed (and made more loud/soft). It's fairly quiet overall. I checked with Nokia directly & confirmed that I cannot adjust it. As a result, if my phone is set down in the house, I cannot hear it ring, as it is too quiet.
Are there any speakers (system) I can plug my phone into so when it rings, it will broadcast through the speakers so I can hear it more easily when set down in the house?

I don't know the exact menu of your phone, but if you work through Settings>Call>Call divert it lets you input the number of seconds before each divert. Bear in mind that this will work only if your operator supports it. Operators get more revenue opportunities if you miss calls.

E 52 ring tone volume

Nokia have done it again E 52 great phone lousy ring tone volume, what is the point of having a great phone when you can hardly here it when someone calls you, despair

1st have you made sure volume is at max capacity check this when using phone and adjust volume
2nd this is a business class phone and not music orientated so the level of volume wont be as great as other handsets

After iOS5 update ring tone volume go to zero when connect to VW Passat 2011 car kit

My iPhone 4 worked greatly before iOS5 update, after that every time it'll connect to RNS315 bluetooth interface ringtone volume go to zero and i've to re-set manually to the right volume. Re-paired but no changes.
Any ideas?

Well, visited my VW dealer and they said no updates for my car based upon the VIN/Reg and whats more there is no way this is a VW issue. Something in the iO5 5 bluetooth area has changes for the worse to force this to happen. THis is an Apple issue not a VW one and they should resolve, hoped that the 5.01 would fix, but no. Come on Apple sort this problem out.

6300 - Low Volume of Ring tone

Hi 6300 users,
The ring tone volume of my phone is hardly audible. I have of course turned up the volume to the max extent.
Any suggestions?

Ok, it sounds like a software fault.
It is set to ring but is ringing ascending, so you will need to get the software updated.
You could try the Nokia Software Updater first.
If that doesnt work then you should take it to a Nokia Care Point.

6300 ringing volume

I have a new 6300 and can't find out how to change the ringing volume. I have set up a profile and selected my ring tone but when I continue through the menu items, against Ringing volume, it says "Next" not "Change". How do I change this please?????

Hi if you go to your ring tone volume move the courser key to the left that that will lower the volume. Hope this helps.

just got my n96 when i get a call cannot hear ring tone volume on max . plus my Friends is the same are thay all like this

SOFT RING TONE ON 2730

When I bought the 2730 I found that the dial tone was too soft, despite putting the ring tone volume at max. But I found that if I changed the Equaliser setting in the Music Player to max on each slider from treble to bass, this boosts the ringing tone significantly (similarly, setting the Equaliser profile to very low makes the ring volume very low). But this worked well for me.
The problem is, my daughter purchased a 2730 about the same time, and also found the volume too low, missing calls, etc. But the trick outlined above didn't work for her. The volume of the ring just stayed the same, despite the Equaliser profile being set to max.
Can anyone suggest why there is a difference, despite the same approach? Or know of some other way of getting a loud ring?

your phone maybe on a different software version some phones have had volume reduction in new updates you could try obtaining a loud mp3 tone which may work have a look at a site called zedge.com for some tones .

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

I would recommend making sure the vibrate switch is not engaged. If the ringer switch is set to audible alert, try the steps in the second article below.

maybe there are dirt, sand and lint in the speaker output grill ?
