The 6300 is an excellent phone. I like it very much. But having used a 6680 before, I would like to see the following improvements (ideally implemented as a Software Upgrade):
Calendar Settings
Default View does not allow TODAY view, even though one exists and can be accessed via the Calendar (viaVIEW button in Calendar).
Active Standby & Calendar
Active Standby is divided into 4 areas (in Personalise View), for which you can individually set content options. When you set Calendar as content option, only 1 or 2 calendar entries max are displayed (as much as fits into that content area). If the areas below the Calendar area is free, the Calendar should flow over into the empty content areas below it, so that more Calendar entries can be displayed.

since you seems to be using the calendar actiively, maybe you could help me. I use my calendar in the 6300 everyday but have this problem, when i synchrinize with my Outlook 2007. All my contacts sync perfectly and so do messages, but when i try to sync my calendars (6300 to/from Outlook) it only works the first time. When I open the sync calendar in the pc suite, the sync button is not active. I've tried to reconnect the phone, but it is still not active. On top of the window it says that the phone is not connected, but if I switch to contacts the phone is connected and so it is with the other facilities. Last time i solved the problem by reinstalling pc-suite, but now i have the same problem again. This is quite annoying and **bleep** me of.
Hope some of you can help me.

BB Link does not recognize Outlook as a source for calendar and contact sync

When setting up BB Link for my BB Classic it does not recognize Outlook 2013 (on Windows 7) as a source for calendar and contacts.

I know there are people who can and many who cannot, never saw a resolution yet, I hope someone who can will reply to your post so that is why I am replying this sends your post back up to the top. Using iCloud (for calendar and contacts) AND MobileMe for Keychain

Does anyone who's migrated to iCloud know if it's possible to sync Address Book and Calendar through iCloud and the Keychain through MobileMe (on a separate account)?
Situation is as follows:
I have two accounts - one MobileMe (which I use today for calendar and contact syncing) and an Apple ID (which I used for iTunes)
I wish to convert the iTunes account to an iCloud account
That leaves me with my un-converted MobileMe which I'd like to continue to use for Keychain syncing until Apple puts that functionality in iCloud or they retire MobileMe.
I guess - the nub of the question is - is it still possible to access the MobileMe preference pane and put in a different account when iCloud is up and syncing?

I've looked at the iDisk and there's no way to do it automatically. However when you're back at your home iMac, you can copy the files that you find in ~/Library/Keychains onto your iDisk. Then when you're at your friend's iMac, you can copy the *.keychain files in your iDisk to the ~/Library/Keychain folder on your friend's machine (in the account that you're using).
That way - you can open your keychain locally - although it won't sync backwards and forwards. An alternative is to use a third-party product such as 1Password - of which there's an iPad app - as well as a web interface (when combined with Dropbox).

$ sudo shutdown -r now or $ sudo systemctl reboot etc. and then the password should be required.

The user "rocketmouse" should have all permissions after typing a password, but not without typing the password.

Hi, I came across the same problem and was not able to open any iCloud folders on Outlook, and iCloud was continusly asking to repair the iCloud Control Panel. I have a really hard time understanding that requirement.... in none of our projects has this come up so far. What's the reasoning behind that?
I mean, if you do that, a can't request for a, and b can't request for b, but a can request for b, and b for a, right?
So, the only reasoning behind that would be some kind of SoD separation between requester and user (which serves no real purpose, does it??).
If you want to limit the people that can request at all to a certain group, set authetication source to UME and give only those users a UME account.
Or, if you want SoD, set "approve/reject own request" to "no" in end user personalization, so the approver can not be the same persoin as the requester.
If none of these suit you, maybe you can explain in a bit more detail what you're trying to achieve.

if you are using OBIEE 11g then, New-> under Published Reporting -> Report.
if you have .rdf file then upload it and saved.
and simply create dashboard, drag and drop report into dashboard.

Enhancement Requests for AWM10g

Hi, before I start in on the enhancement requests I want to say that I am pretty impressed with AWM10g. Definitely a huge step forward in creating AWs. Having said that, I think there are a few enhancements that could be done to the tool to make it even more user friendl.
Note that these are in no particular order, just ones I came up with while using the tool. I'll add any others that I come across.
Please don't take this as nit-picking - just trying to help make it better.

1. On dimension hierarchy types, instead of "value based" call it a "parent / child based" (thats what everyone knows it as)
2. When creating levels, allow more than one level to be created at a time (currently it closes the dialog after each level is created, forcing you to go back and choose "create levels" over and over again). This may be as simple as having a "Save and create another" button or something.
3. When typing names in the "system name" boxes, it would be nice if we could simply type the descriptions using spaces, and have the system name automatically replace with an underscore. Right now its a bit tedious to remember to type all names using underscores.
4. In "mapping" view, move HELP, APPLY, and REVERT buttons off of bottom status bar and up to the top toolbar. There is lots of unused space at the top, creating a second bar at bottom just eats up screen real estate
5. On "create dimension" dialog, no need for an entirely separate tab for "implmentation details" (that only has two values - generate unique keys or use the existing keys). Put this on the front tab so users don't have to keep selecting over to it (unless of course there are additional values that can show up there?)
6. Mapping dimensions with multiple hierarchy - seems odd that we have to remap shared levels. Is it possible to make this where you would map all the values in the first hierarchy, and then only map the "missing" levels in the second hierarchy? Seems like an opportunity for hosing things up
7. Drag and drop ordering when setting up the dimensions in a cube would be nice. Interface is the same as prior version of AWM (pretty clunky)
8. Bug - when typing in any "name" field, if you highlight the entire field and delete all characters, under the "description" fields only a single character gets deleted.
9. When there are multiple hierarchies for a given dimension, some sort of visual indicator of which one is set as default (without having to drill into details of each one)
10. Its difficult (impossible?) to resize panes (for instance, when doing the mapping). Seems like sometimes I click on something by accident (other than the < and > arrows) that resizes the panes, and then I can't figure out how to get them back (other than exiting and restarting)
11. When writing template out to same name as one that exists, AWM2 is not giving a "do you want to overwrite" prompt
12. Some sort of clear visual indicator or message when a dimension is not completely "mapped". I had a dimension where I mistakenly forgot to map the leaf level dimension member. I didn't find out about it until I ran a load and the load blew up.
13. On the XML logging at the end of a load process, the dialog box isn't big enough to show entire error messages if they occur. Since I haven't found a way to actually write the output to a txt file, this makes it hard to debug what is wrong with a solve.

1) Rather than just showing the "working" bar while a load / solve is going on, would it be possible to replace this with some sort of functionality that queries against the OLAPSYS.xml_load_log table? And perhaps allow the user to click "refresh" or have it auto-refresh at a certain number of minutes so that users can actually see the progress being made?
2) Since CATALOG view is no longer available, remove the options to have AWM write the log files

Enhancement request for more fine-grained templates

I like to have the possibility to define templates on the level of table rows. If I am correct, currently the 'lowest' level of a .jtt template is the $FORM_ITEMS$ token. According to the userguide this token "is used to indicate the place where a form must be generated". My question is now: How can I influence this generation process? For example, I want to embed text-items within <c:if's in order to conditionally set a text-item attribute. Am I right to conclude that on this "deeper" level of a jsp (for instance table-row level), it is not possible to define templates?
If so, I want to request an enhancement for a further 'fine-graining' of the templating technique.

Yes, this is not possible in he current release.
Your enhancement request has already been implemented for the JDev10.1.3/Faces release. We will the support two kinds of tokens, one that outputs all items as it is today ($FORM_ITEMS$ or $TABLE_ITEMS$), and one token that refers to an individual item. This reference can be bpoth on index number and name:
FORM_ITEM_1 or
FORM_ITEM_DepartmentName
This will allow you to layout the items exactly as you want.
Note that in the 10.1.3 release, we will also support item-level templates where you can add code to conditonally render items.

Can Exchange activesync be used for calendar and contacts without BES?

I thought it could- just got a Z10 and am having trouble syncing with a cloud service that uses EAS Tech support just told me that I have to be on BES for that? Wasn't what I thought. you dont need BES10. you can do EAS directly from the device to the Exchange Server.

I create a new message ZNEU and I link a new form.
I want the system creates automatically the message ZNEU when I save my request for quotation.
In transaction NACE, I specify the output type ZNEU
My Access sequence is 0001 DocType/PurchOrg/Vendor
I specify a procedure RMBEA1 Purchasing RFQ
Then I put in step 10 the condition type ZNEU and a requirement 101
I just copy the message NEU in ZNEU.
And in condition record ( tcode MN02) I create the output type with combinaison purchasing output determintation document type.
With all these datas I haven't anything when I save the RFQ?
I have the same problem with purchase order.
Anybody have an idea?

Hi,
For RFQ create outut condition using MN01 transaction give your output tpe ZNEU and choose the option doc type as AN and give your purchase group.give transmission medium 1 and time 4.In communication method give printer name and tick print immediately and save.Then while creating RFQ for that purchase group message will come automatically.
For PO create output condition using MN04 transaction and document type is EF.Repeat the same like RFQ.
Hope it will solve your issue.

ActiveSync only works for Contacts, not for Calendars and Email

So it seems that the ActiveSync is only working partially for me... When syncing with our company's OWA, my Contacts sync fine (though some create duplicates). However, the Calendar doesn’t sync at all, and the Email only syncs the folder structure, but none of the emails in them. When I attempt to sync the individual folders it gives me the same error message - “connection to the server failed”. This is a bit puzzling, as it is able to connect to the server just fine to get the contacts and the email folders.
I have already talked to the resident geniuses at the apple store and the exchange admin people - all are clueless... And did I mention, we don't have IT dept. to fix this... Please let me know if anyone is experiencing a similar problem or can suggest a way to fix it...

I am also having this problem. I was on 2.0.1 with the original iphone and had activesync working just fine. Contacts, calendars and email were all working.
On Friday I made the critical mistake of deciding to upgrade to 2.0.2. My phone was a brick for a little more than a day. I finally seemed to figure out the magical incantations required to get it restored and syncing with itunes (it was in a loop of only wanting to restore my phone).
Since getting it back into a relatively normal mode of operating on 2.0.2 I have not been able to get push email via ActiveSync working (it was working fine, no changes on the Exchange side of things). The only thing that changed was my upgrading to 2.0.2.
Since then I am back to the pre-2.0 email capabilities (I can create a seperate account on the phone and make imap work, but I don't get push with that).
I sure hope Apple is reading this and taking steps to correct it. I have no idea how to restore my phone to the way it was before I made the mistake of upgrading to 2.0.2 I should just have waited for 2.1
