6330v5.0 K7T TURBO2 Locking up. More help, please!!!

So I've built this PC:
--> 6330 v5.0 MOBO (flashed with latest bios)
--> AMD xp 2100+
--> 1500megs (3x512mg NCP pc-133)
--> Zalman copper heatsink and fan
--> 400w "enermax" PS
--> G3Ti200 Pro-VT128 (MS-8850)
--> Various hard drives (20-60GB) and CD-ROM drives
If anyone has any suggestions or comments about what bios settings to use, I'm all ears.
My computer persistently hangs in the middle of games and applications (especially games). It just stops responding and keeps the same screen from where it hung up.
It is possible that I have a sound card problem. I'll keep you posted. Writing this thread reminded me that I hadn't tried to remove that yet.

Thanks for all your suggestions, unfortunately none of them solved my problem.
I previously had three hard drives in my system, but I now have only two.(both seagate, 1 20GB and 1 120GB)
I have also tried different ram in my system, and I have reinstalled my OS (Windows XP Pro).
I've updated drivers for damn near every piece of my system (video, sound, chipset, bios, cdrom drive bios), and ensured that my fsb jumper was set correctly.
I also bought a nice new THERMALTAKE xaser 2 case that has a ton of fans and a digital temp. probe, which I pushed up next to the base of my CPU's heatsink. It says that my system is running at 44C and the bios reports 47C. No heat problems, I guess.
I have optimized my bios settings for stability not performance. (no overclocking of anything).
On a whim, I decided to pull my old VOODOO 3 3000 videocard out of retirement and give it a shot at the prize. With an obvious downgrade in graphics quality and speed, it produced the exact same hang as my GeForce3. So, I guess that rules out video card problems.
Is it possible that by setting my FSB to 133 is pushing my AGP bus too far? I don't see a way in the bios to adjust the ratio of FSB freq. to AGP freq.

Thank you for trying to help. I followed your instructions, it took 6 hours to download, and then said it could not solve the problem (something to do with error 9?). It will have to go back to Apple - its only 3 days since it came out of the package and its very disappointing for him. Looks like I have to hang around in the Apple store in Plymouth all tomorrow until they can fix it, or will change it. Thanks for your help.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

K7t Turbo2 lock ups and restarts

I'm new to MSI boards and this is my first , the problem I am having is when I go to install a game (Diablo2,1503 ad and any other I have) it barely starts to install and locks up or goes blank or restarts the system. I have changed everything the only constant is the motherboard. This is the second I have tried of this board with the exact same problem. Has anyone else had these problems if so did you find a fix? Please let me know, Thank You.

The BIOS version is 3.5 , the via drivers I managed to get in that I know went in are 4.43.They came on the CD with the board. When i try 4.49 it locks up, I found newer drivers for the AC97 onboard sound and it locked up. I have 98 first edition and ME. I have a copy of XP but Microsoft will not give me a new activation number so that was money out the door as I had it for 3 days then my old hard drive crashed. The hardware I bought with the copy is still in this computer which means I have not broke the end users agreement like they say I have.When I get this totally taken care of i will reinstall XP but not before as i dont want to go thru all that with them again. The hard drive is new, the memory is new, the processor is new, the cd-rom is new, the CPU fan is new, the only thing old is the cd-rw and sound card. There are 2 reasons I chose this board 1 had alot of PC133 laying around and 2 read it was a great board and is cheap which is good as I am unemployed right now. I got 1 for me and 2 for 2 other people. My first board didn't start right away, it started just after when my hard drive crashed, bought a new drive and set it up and it wouldn't let me install,thought ok it a cheaper Maxtor Fireball3 it kinda real loud to me so I got a Diamondmax to replace the Fireball cos I thought it might be bad. Installed clean and it still did it. So I ordered in a new processor and another board from same place I had gotten the last 3. The new processor is bad it supposed to be a 1.33Athlon board reads it as a 1.0 and locks up before windows loads up. Tried it in 3 computers and it did same thing. All 3 computers had different brands of boards so it has to be the processor. Installed the new board and reformatted and installed everything clean and the problem was exactly the same and then one of the people call me with same problem I am having and they have a PCI modem in theirs and is running onboard sound. Sounds like to me something is wrong with the PCI bus or something cos it acts up when there is a card in the PCI slots. I will probably run it like it is then get me a KT6 Delta board only prob is I will have to eat the cost of at least one more plus the memory to replace the other persons also.

N97 phone insta locking up -- need help please

after weeks of problem free, my phone has decieded to lock up instantly on turning on.
I can not turn it off via any normal method, and must remove battrey. Pluggin in the power charger / usb cable does not light the charge light up, but turns it on
The power button does the same (when off after removing battrey)
upon turning on, the screen goes white and the nokia writing comes up
in the past, this screen would be following up with the nokia animation of touching hands around 10 seconds later
its been sat here 10 minutes now incase I missed something, with no luck.
it is totally unresponsive, no audio or tacticle feedback, and the only way to stop it is take out battrey.
any advice please

Hi, only two solutions I can suggest, though they may not be possible, is first try connectiong to computer with ovi suit, and try re-install firmware. Or try hard reset with key combo

Snow Leopard and Canon MX860 ... More help please!

I've followed various threads concerning Snow Leopard and its incompatibility with the Canon MX860 printer/scanner. I have now downloaded the latest printer driver from Canon and the printer functions seem to work normally now on my wireless network.
I have some connectivity with the scanner, but the only way I can get it to scan is by going through System Preferences - if I try going via the "Canon Solution Menu" I get the error message "Cannot communicate with the scanner". Also, on the MX860's display panel the only option shown is the USB connection - it doesn't offer any PCs so, I guess, it's not finding my wireless network, even though the printer part of the machine is.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks.

I am running Mac OS X Leopard version 10.5.7 on a MacBook3,1 with a wireless network using an AirPort Extreme. I was able to print wirelessly to my new Canon Pixma MX860, but my Macbook was unable to communicate with the MX860 scanner. Interestingly, though, the MX860 scanner could communicate just fine the other way with my Macbook because I was able to manually scan from the MX860 console and have scans wirelessly sent as PDFs to my Macbook.
Here's what I did to scan wirelessly to the MX860.
I used Easy Install from the accompanying Canon Pixma MX860 Setup CD-Rom disk *version U1.4* (purchased the MX860 on March 22, 2010) and followed all of the setup instructions in the Getting Started for Mac manual. In my case, I have a wireless LAN network with one access point, the Airport Extreme, but I would follow the instructions that are appropriate for your setup.
I went to the Canon MX860 driver page http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDet ailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=18121 and selected the MAC OS system files from the drop-down menu.
I downloaded:
_*MX860 series Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.1*_ (Mac OS X 10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6)

(I didn't remember this file from the Easy Install, and I was unable to select this from the Navigator EX Scan menu, so I figured there was something wrong with it)

(The version that came with the CD-Rom was an older version, 2.1.0, I think)
I installed both the Scanner Driver and the updated MP Navigator EX. The computer restarted after installing each program, so there were two restarts.
I opened the Solution Menu from the dock, chose Scan/Import Photos or Documents from the menu, and the Solution Menu opened MP Navigator EX (now version 2.1.2). From the MP Navigator Ex menu, I chose Scan/Import Photos/Documents (Platen), selected the Document Type, and voila, perfect wireless platen scans. When I checked the "Use the Scanner Driver" box, the Scanner Driver brought up more detailed scanning options. I was also able to scan a stack of documents using the ADF.
I know that this is a Snow Leopard thread, but I came across this thread when I did a search on exactly the same problem, so I wanted to post my solution in case it helps others. I think that the solution to your problem should be similar. If the two downloads specifically mentioned above do not help, perhaps try downloading and installing all of the other most up-to-date drivers/software on the Canon 860 page until something works.

"Partially Locked" background layer = HELP please :)

Hi there. I am new to photoshop and still learning daily but am having tons of fun editing & playing I have PSE11
I have been editing the same group of pictures for the last few nights and just recently every picture that I bring over from the Organizer has the background layer being "partially locked".
I have googled it, watched help videos and still can't seem to fix the issue. I doubled clicked and renamed and still nothing. With that first layer being "partially locked" I can't seem to do much with the rest of the layers.
Is there possibly something that I may have hit by mistake? An easy fix? Feeling frusterated and hoping to find help......

All background layers always are partially locked. It shouldn't prevent you from doing anything ohter than creating transparent areas. Other editing shouldn't be impeded at all. Double-clicking the layer in the layers panel should bring up a window asking if you want to convert it to a regular layer.

UiXML templates - more help please!

I'm trying to implement the 'Object List - Search/Results and Select/Act functionality' template as defined by BLAF. The BLAF standard dictates that the first field in a <table > should be a 'name' field, rendered as a link, which should be used to initiate a 'View Object' dialogue. What I've done in my template is define the table and the first column in the template the tableData and navigation values are provided by a method DataProvider and have defined a <namedChild> called 'otherColumns' which the user of the template fills in as necessary. My first attempt at this worked as required because the particular ObjectType I used was very simple and only had a name field and a status (active/inactive). My next attempt has more than 2 columns, but when I define them in the user of the template I get this warning:
Warning(156,30): BrowseBrands.uix: Parsing error, line 156, column 30: Replacing named child: otherColumns; you probably want to wrap these children inside of a flowLayout plus a contents element.
I tried wrapping this up in a <flowLayout> but the columnHeaders of my 'otherColumns' are then lost and don't render correctly - I didn't think this would work! I can see why this might be a problem as I'm splitting up the definition of my <table>. Anyone give me a solution to help me achieve this? Do I have to define the whole table in the user of the template? I'd like to keep the <table> in the template if possible.

If you want more than one element, you have to use <contents>.
So, I believe what you want in your template is something more like:

I have only had my iphone for about 2 months, and i was talking on it and it just shut off. It has been charging all night, because i thought it was dead. But, it still won't turn on and i have tried pressing the lock button. Help please!

You should still be under warranty. First try rebooting the iPhone by pressing and holding both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time until the Apple symbol appears, ignoring the power off slider. You should get indications of life within about 10 seconds while holding the buttons.

Audio Encoding & Ken Burns Problems Persist - More Help Please.

My previous thread (10/27): Encoding Audio in iDVD for 41 hours. Is there any hope?
--72min iMovie, many high res photos, iTunes music, voiceovers, sound effects (20.9G)
Since then:
I reimported Music Store songs from CD and tried iMovie to iDVD again , menu took 50min, video encoding took 4.5hrs, audio encoding went 12 hours till I force quit. (Should I have waited longer?)
I then was able to create a Quicktime Movie (Full Quality) in 36hrs, but the Ken Burns photos were so horrific (shimmering) that I decided to try creating a Disk Image. Is there any chance the results will be better? (Burn w/Toast6)
I also tried exporting iMovie to my JVC GR-DVP3 video camera. Only got colored checkerboard patterns.
If the Disk Image approach doesn't work, I'll be back at square one. Anything else I might try?

Wow, this sounds like a long time. Is this DV? Or
H.264?
The extension is .dv What is H.264
Remember that iDVD will create standard resolution
video, even if you are feeding it HD material. So
use Export> Quicktime> Full Quality DV.
I did.
The shimmering might improve once it is burned to
disk, but it might not. I also find it is different
on different players. PhotoToMovie does a better job
than iMovie/iPhoto of avoiding shimmers.

seems that something must not be hooked up right.

I have a post on the iMovie forum, iMovie recognized the camera and it recorded, but all I got was sporadic patterns. The manual shows DV to DV operations but no computer to DV. Maybe my camera isn't compatable.

Multiple drop down menu items to populate the a separate text box...more help please

Thanks to Gilad D67 for showing me how to have multiple drop down menu items appear in a separate text box. This stuff blows my mind. Is there any script I can use to make a new drop down menu item appear in the same text box, but on a new line below a previous entry. For example. I select 'cat' from my drop down menu and it appears in my text box. Now I choose 'dog' from my menu and it appears in my text box like so 'cat dog.' Is there any way I can make 'dog' go straight to a new line automatically without having to manually go into the text box and change it?

Now, I don't have a clue if this is also possible, but imagine, I don't like my drop down menu selection of 'dog' and I go back into the menu and I change to 'rat' but in the text box, 'dog' still appears and 'rat' is added. Do I have to manually delete 'dog' from the text box or is there script that can do this for me.
Any assistance would be incredible. It amazes me how people know this stuff.

You have to set the option for the text field to be multiline and then change the last line of the script to:
getField("Text30").value += "\r" + aQuotes[item];
To reset the field you can use a separate button with a Clear Form command, and then you just select this one field from the list.

Can you delete songs already loaded on iPod? If so, how?
I am trying to purchase a song and the song is showing in the list and has been purchased, but it has an orange and white spinning arrow beside it that has been spinning for several minutes now, what does this mean? There is also a gray and white arrow spinning in the same window, but to the left beside downloads. What does all of this mean?

you can only delete songs from the iPod if you manually manage the content (if you do so, click the arrow next to your iPod in itunes, select "Music", select the song you want from the list and delete it). If you let iTunes manage your music (= syncronize iTunes with the iPod) you cannot delete songs from the iPod manually, since the iPod will ALWAYS contain the same content as iTunes (that's the whole point of automatic content managment). if iTunes contains a media file, the iPod will.
the arrows mean that the song you purchased is being downloaded to your computer. as every other song you purchase on the internet, the song has to be downloaded to your computer first and will automatically be added to your iTunes libary. after the download finished (the arrows disapeared) you can play the song.
you can click on "downloads" on the right side of the screen to see how long your download will take.
