6380e problem with first bootup

Hi, I have a problem that I hope someone may be able to help with.
My computer works great but for one thing and that is, every morning when I switch on the computer it does not complete a clean boot and freezes, this can happen at any stage of the boot e.g.: dos, windows or even in bios.
This only happens when the system has been shutdown over night, and it take me several reboots usually 4 or 5 before it boots correctly, then I have no problems no matter how many time I reboot.

After receiving your comment about the power supply I tested mine and found that it was unstable, at present I am using the power supply from another system and all seems O.K.
Can you recommend a power supply and supplier?

Problems with first time setup

Hi to all and please be kind to this new applee. I am vary familar with Windows but not Apple.
I am having problems with first time setup. Choice wifi network ZAJ34 has full connectino bars but requires a password to connect with it. Tried to use "Connect to iTunes" and plugged in the USB cable. Windows7 ran ok and "MyComputer\Apple iPod" shows up in Explorer. All I get to is the screen that shows the cable pointing to the music symbol. I am new to Applie iPod so I am totally lost. I have the Apple iPod touch 8GB Black (4th Generation) CURRENT MODEL.
Operating System - iPod touch User Guide (For iOS 5.1 Software) downloaded, not sure.

Connect your device to your computer. [Hooked up the USB cable and nothing happens.]
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices. Select the Summary tab, and click the Restore button. [iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices, is it in Control Panel. I looked in Device Manager and so only drivers etc.

Satellite P775-100 3D: Problem with first initialization of the 3D function

Hi,
I have a problem with my new Toshiba Satellite Notebook P775-100 3D.
Wenn I start the 3D wizard for the first 3D using, then disappears the mouse coursor from screen.
The mouse works but is not visible. Sometimes by trying can to find the button "continue" or a checkbox.
Unfortunately, I can not get the wizard with nonvisible mouse cursor until to the end.
The Keys e.g. TAB, Coursor-keys etc. from Keyboard helps not more.
Please has anyone a Idee for the solution of my problem?

[SOLVED] systemd switch, problems with slim/bootup

My system will boot, giving me "OK" for everything it's doing. Then my system gives me a tty login prompt, but continues booting:
gestalt login: [ OK ] Starting Wicd.
[ OK ] Reached target multi-user.
[ OK ] Reached target graphical interface.
So if i just hit enter, it gives me another login prompt, then I can login, but X/fluxbox isn't started or anything.

Hopefully this isn't too much information (or completely irrelevant) for what might be a far simpler problem, but I'm just not sure what's going on. It might be worth noting that I only bothered to start switching to systemd today when I had to reboot and slim wouldn't start/get me into my WM(!) This is interesting to me, since I read (somewhere) that as of slim's last version, it would only work with systemd and not consolekit... but when I try:
pacman -Qi slim
It tells me that the last time I last updated/installed slim was November 5 of this year. Any ideas?
EDIT:
Latest nVidia drivers weren't working with my 7xxx integrated GPU. Downgrade to 304xx drivers or use nouveau.

I tried starting X manually (typing in "startx" at the prompt, and I get the following errors:
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': No such device
Fatal server error:
no screens found
(EE)
Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error
It looks like I'm just having problems with my video card, but I have the proprietary nVidia drivers installed and X installed. The systemd wiki page mentions no changes that I would need to make to my xorg or nvidia configuration...

Problem with first generation iPhone after 3.1 upgrade - HELP!

I'm wondering if any of you know how to help me out with this issue...
I have a first generation iPhone 16GB and I recently upgraded to 3.1 software, but my sim card is not supported - so I need to downgrade. I've tried restoring, tried QuickPwn but no success with anything. It's stuck on the emergency call screen. By the way, my sim card isn't supported on 3.0 either, so I need to downgrade it to the original. I've been browsing the web all day trying to find a solution and nothing yet. If you can help, I'd appreciated it GREATLY!

My sim card now is not detected of my iphone and only emergency call on screen. So how can I put it back my old firmware version so that i can use again my iphone

10.4.11 problem with first generation macbook

hey guys, my parents just installed the 10.4.11 update on their mac running 10.4.10, and my dad did the update, it installed everything, restarted twice like normal, but on the second restart, its been on the start up screen with the apple logo, and white screen with the spinning cursor for 20 minutes now. we called support but they were closed. We've considered restarting, but we dont want to possibly ruin the partition, we put our ear to the harddrive area, and there is absolutley no activity, all we hear is the fan blowing really really hard. What should we do guys, we need your expertise. thanks in advance.

I had the same symptoms you described, but I have managed to boot my system twice now. First, I ejected a DVD I had in the drive, Second I disconnected my external monitor from my laptop, third I held down the power until it shuts down. But that's not the end.
When I restart my macbook pro, the spinning thing sits there for a while, I push the power button...but only a standard half second push, which seems to break the apple out of the endless spinning icon.
Everything seems normal, and booting continues,...I have to do this the last 2 times, which really isn't acceptable, but better than not having my computer.
I haven't had any adverse effects, but do this at your own risk.

Brand new ipod touch 5th gen 64gb problems with first power on

I have just received a brand new ipod touch 5th gen 64 gb from amazon. After reading the instructions i tried to power it on but nothing happened.
It was suggested on here to try the recovery start but again, nothing happened.
I then plugged the device in to a wall socket charger to see if the battery is flat,but the apple logo comes on for about 15 seconds then goes off again. If I hold down the home button while the apple logo is off, after a while the ipod goes into recovery start up, but as soon as i unplug it from the wall socket adaptor it turns off.
It will not do anything plugged into the usb soccket of my laptop.
Any ideas or will I have to return this to amazon?

I am trying to run my first servlet HelloWorld
I have my servlet in the directory
Tomcat 4.1/webapps/test/web-inf/classes/HelloWorld.class
and my web.xml file in the directory
Tomcat 4.1/webapps/test/web-inf/web.xml
contains the following lines

When I put my HelloWorld.class file in the webapps/examples directory it runs fine.WHy is it so ?
Also for the above I have not started my tomcat server since I tried to run my HelloWorld from examples using http://localhost:8080/examples/servlet/HelloWorld it works perfect so I think I do not need to start server.

Problem with first Podcast Episode (pulling in streaming info) powerpress.

Hi All,
I am new here, sorry for the dumb question. I am using wordpress and a plugin called Powerpress. This has generated a feed for my podcast. The problem is that it's picking up the flash as the actual podcast file, take a look here:

In the description, you see the confusion.
*My question is this. Am I going to have to:*
1. Do nothing as once the feed is corrected, the file will update.
2. Ask iTunes to take the feed down.
3. Re-submit the feed to iTunes.
I am a little slow, I know!

Both episodes are there and the podcast can be subscribed to: everything is working correctly.

Problem with 'first play'

My first play is set to the main menu. For some reason if I don't go back to main menu before ejecting, then when I put it back in it starts where I stopped rather than main menu. This only happens on computer, not in DVD player. Any ideas. I'm using version 4.2.

How a previously viewed DVD behaves can be specified in the Apple DVDPlayer app's preferences.
From the menu bar: DVDPlayer > Preferences. Click on "Previously Viewed" at the top right of the preferences window. The various options are self-explanatory.

Install is good, no error.

Open Java Preferences

When I use Firefox and Hotmail at startup, Firefox freezes for about 1 minute, and then I can continue. First I though it was my computer but 2 other girls in my class have the same problem with Hotmail and Firefox. What can I do to change this?

When I start Firefox, about 15 seconds after I start it, my Firefox freezes for about 1 minute. I found out that it is my Hotmail that makes Firefox freeze.
First I thought it was my computer, but I have 2 other girls in my class that use Hotmail and Firefox and their computer also freezes for 1 full minute.
This is very annoying, what can I do to change this?

probably a trip to the local Apple Store Genius bar is called for before warranty runs out
Assuming the iPad has been released in your Country if not you may have to take it to a
