64 bit IE9 and Flash noworkie solution.

Adobe now has a 64&32 bit code download, as your machine admin. using Adobe code uninstall what you have and load the newest code.
Here is how I fixed my issues. Some or all these two changes solved my issues with the most current Adobe Flash version 11.1.102.55 problem not working with Win 7, 64 bit using IE9 version 9.0.3, through an Intel HD graphics card.
Try just this change first, if not successful add the next change ( I made both changes at the same time)
Try them one at a time, in the order of mention below.  That first change instructions had me download and use Firefox. During a Flash play I right clicked/ settings/ first tab had Hardware Acceleration checked, I unchecked Hardware Acceleration, tabbed over and also set memory to 10Mb. In both IE9 or Chrome you can see these settng but you cannot uncheck these Adobe Download Default.
If not successful add this change.
• Open Menu bar Tools/Internet Options (or located in theControl Panel).
• Click on the Advanced tab.
• Click on the Reset button click Reset. (no need to delete your settings you lose a lot of stored histrory)
• Close IE and reLaunch IE9 and Adobe Flash Player might be properly enabled.
Thanks Adobe, and MS you wasted a whole weekend producing this problem for me!  Worked before, one or both your updates caused this problem.  Worst computer QC I have seen since the new Dell Computers.

  • IE9 and Flash Player NOT Working

Since upgrading to IE 9 I can no longer view any FLASH in webpages.  The Flash Player occasionally flickers on the screen offering to ALLOW or DENY (but disappears before you can click).  IF I am lucky enuf to click on the FULL SCREEN option, I can view the video in full screen mode... unable to view anything in the browser.  I am finding complaints all over your discussion boards and all over the Internet when I GOOGLE for a fix.  Each FIX seems to be totally personalized.  I see thread after thread telling the party to initiate their own thread.
    HELP!!!
This totally sucks... it seems to be UNIVERSAL.  Why isn't it being addressed across the board... vs one at a time-itis?  I have the most recent Flash Player downloaded (tonight).

Using Windows Home Premium and IE9
Some flash videos on websites work and some don't.
For example, on this site many flash videos work but several don't ... http://www.moosepeterson.com/blog/. Doesn't really make sense that some do and some don't! However, all flash videos work on this site using Chrome and on my old XP system using Internet Explorer. So, the problem has to be with IE9.

  • I have IE9, and Flash 10.3,windows 7 64-bit.

When i go to youtube, it says I need to install flash player. I dont have any problem viewing videos in firefox. I am just having issues with IE9. Please help. I have been trying to deal with it for more than 24 hrs now. Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi, I would first remove it from Programs & Features and then Reboot.
Then open just one window and go to this site and be sure to use the one for the 64bit. Just follow the instructions. I'm sure you'll need to reboot when finished.

  • IE9 and Flash Player issues..

I have already tested my player and it is techincally working however instead of being in the correct place on the page - every site I go to with flash - the images end up in the top left corner displaying incorrectly.
Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi, One of the users here and others suggest this:
I don’t know if somebody has suggested this or not but what I did to make Flash 10.3 work on my IE9 (32 bit on a 64bit Windows 7) was to click on the gear icon, then click on “internet options”, then “advanced”, then finally check “use software rendering instead of GPU rendering” finally you must close IE9 for the settings to work.
See if that helps. If not, when you reploy back, furnish your operating system and other browsers/versions you may use.
    Thanks,

  • IE9 and Flash 11.5 and Protected Mode

I'm sorry that I didn't have the patience to wait for an answer in the other thread, but I am concerned that the other thread may be overlooked and I'll wait until the cows come home, and I am worried about security.
I received the Flash 11.5 update yesterday on my Vista Ultimate/IE9 equipped machine and immediately ran into problems with web pages not loading.
Firstly, that's not a pleasant experience when one is working against a deadline.
Eventually, I find out it is because of you Adobe folks, and that isn't very nice to find out, either.  You folks seem to be a necessity on the Net and to mess up one of my machines and cause me to have to use up time to sort out the mess isn't very pleasant, either.  But you know that, don't you?
Okay, so I eventually find out I have to turn off protected mode in my IE9.
So how long is that going to have to continue?
What are the dangers when not being in the protected mode?  (Microsoft warns me with every page loaded, but I'm not turning that off, just yet.)
And I have another, distantly related question, if I may.  Many times I see the advice given around this tech forum to uninstall one version and install a previous one or reinstall the latest one and so on.  That is quite frequent advice.
Well, when the Adobe Flash uninstaller is used, does it clean everything out of the registry?
Thank you for your feedback, whomever you might be.

Try to uninstall Java with the JavaRa program and reinstall (32 bit) Java.

  • Problems with IE9 and Flash Player when Offline

I can't get embeded flash to work in IE9 with Windows 7 when offline (works fine online) but it works fine with Google Chrome. I am saving the webpage with embeded flash as html.

I was having the same problem using Internet Explorer—this is how I solved it. This worked for me—it may not work for you.
First go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and install Adobe Flash Player for your computer.
    Click to open Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button , and then click Manage add-ons.
Under Add-on Types, click Toolbars and Extensions.
Under Show, To display a complete list of the add-ons on your computer, click “All add-ons” on the left bottom under “Show”.
Under “Name” go to “Adobe Systems Incorporation” select “Shockwave Flash Object” right click on “Disabled” and click on “Enabled”
Also make sure “Shockwave ActiveX” is also “Enabled:
    When you're finished, click Close.

  • Firefox 64 bit and flash 32 bit chroot

Since two days im trying to get 32 bit flash plugin to work with firefox 64 bit using chroot enviroment. I followed those instructions on archwiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _in_Arch64 but theres only solution for both firefox and flash 32 bit.
Any ideas how to do this?

    - Go to Flash10 x86_64.
    - Download file at bottom.
    - Decompress it.
    - Copy ".so" file over ~/.mozilla/plugins folder.
    - Restart firefox...
I suggest evryone just avoid mixing 64bits and 32bits... unless impossible (ie. wine64 doesn't run win32 apps, just win64 ones)
EDIT: Oh, about your "real" question: maybe you were looking for "ndispluginwrapper" (or something alike)
EDIT2: I forgot to mention you should read some literacy about "what is a chroot and what is its purpouse"....

  • I have to constantly re-install flash to get it to work. Using IE9 and Windows 7 64bit

    Hello,
Thanks in advance for any help.  The last 2 weeks I have had to constantly re-install flash.  I have gone through so many steps as recommended on the forum from using the uninstaller to going through the tool options for enabling and disabling items and to NO END I have to re-install for the day if I want to see any flash websites or youtube.
Please note that I have IE9 and am on Windows 7 64 bit.  This never use to happen.  Furthermore, I do not want to install google chrome because my outlook did not work well with it.
I could not open up links and I hope that I do not have to have google chrome to use Flash now?
Please help it seems that many are experiencing the same?
    Thanks,
    bluicat

The clean scripts didn't exist at the time, because the installer worked differently. What did exist just the same as today is the caps.db and you need to delete that in C.\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps.

  • Have the installers for Flash x64 bit and Flash x32 Bit been combined?

Up until just recently there were always 2 different installers for Flash. The 32 bit version and the 64 bit version. Has Adobe now combined the two separate installers in to one? Or do I still need to find separate x64 and x32 bit installers? I seem to be able to find the installer for 11.3.300.265 but it no longer says it is for 32 bit or 64 bit.
I have been searching for some sort of a message or update put out by Adobe Flash announcing that they have combined the two installs, something that should be on the download page in big bold letters so that we know about the change and know we can stop keeping 4 separate installers and reduce it to two.
I am an IT support professional and one of my jobs is to keep up to date with the full installers for things like Flash, Adobe Reader, Shockwave etc so that we can supply our customers with the latest updates, no spam involved and no tricks to install additional UNNEEDED and UNWANTED junk ware such as the MacAfee Security Scan Plus or Google Tool Bar that they try to trick you into installing, by pre-checking it, AN EVIL THING TO DO TO UNKNOWLEDGEABLE USERS, and the main reason we have to find and download the FULL INSTALLERS sans the crap ware ourselves and cannot trust Adobe to provide us with Crap Ware Free installs etc. ( For Shockwave we have to manually install it ourselves, a very time consuming thing since it ALWAYS tries to trck the user in to installing EVIL CRAP WARE such as Google Tool Bar and Norton's Security junk. If these were not EVIL programs and crap ware then they would not need to pre-check their installation, but they must obviously be EVIL CRAP WARE since they have to resort to tricking usurers in to installing them via a pre-check.

    HI,
If you have the Download .dmg you could try to reinstall it.
The computer will need a restart afterwards.
At this point the app still may not work properly but you should be able to access the Uninstall option in the Messages menu to get back to iChat.
The Messages Download was removed yesterday.

  • Issues: IE9 and FP WIN 10,2,153,1

I did some research on the net and forums here, but no solution. Slowly but surely I become mad about this:
    My configuration is:
    Flash Player version: WIN 10,2,153,1
    Debug Player: No
    User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/5.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C)
    Browser Version: 5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/5.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C)
    Browser Name: Microsoft Internet Explorer
Or simply: I run Vista Business SP2 (32-Bit) and IE 9.0.8112.16421, Updatever: RTM); i. e. the newly launched one, downloadable from the MS page.
The Shockwave Flash object (Add-on) is activated.
    I am the machines admin.
    Problem is:
FP loads normally (verified on the "FP about"-page of Adobe). However, some FP-Objects on some webpages do not load properly or don't load at all. I can view Youtube vids, for example, but cannot view FP-objects (e. g. graphs and statistics) on some pages. Especially HTTPS-connections seem to be a problem.
However, Firefox 4.0 works fine - all FP-objects are displayed and work OK.
Tried so far without any success:
    (Problems persist in IE9)
    - De-/Reactivation of Hardware-Acceleration in FP
    - De-/Reactivation of Shockwave Plugin
    - Several un- and re-installs of FP (as written throughout the Adobe pages)
    - Removal of the "kill-bit" registry entry, un-/re-install of FP
Any ideas anyone? I even tried to de-install IE9 and roll-back to IE8 (which didn't have these problems with FP) but for some reason, I ended up with my Windows not starting anymore. So I did a system recovery... and ended up with a IE9 again....
I don't know who's to blame, but for me it's a complete nuisance as I cannot switch to Firefox.

    Thanks for your reply!
I use Kaspersky 6.0.4. IE9 and version 10.2.153.1 was installed. BUT: I have deleted the registry entry for the kill-bit although the kill-bit wasn't set (value 0...). I thought deleting the whole reg-entry might have an effect somehow, although the kill-bit wasn't set - it didn't.
Right now, I'm through almost all adivce given here on the forums and all over the Adobe page. I even tried the least obvious things (e. g. kill-bit) but nothing worked.
I should add one point in my problem description above (maybe this helps):
The FP-objects not visible are actually loaded, i. e. I can right-click on the objects and see the FP-menu - but in the menu it says "Film not loaded" and IE keeps trying to download something (the rotating circle indicating download-activity keeps on circling for the webpage on which the FP-object is).
And another thing: I have noticed that this problem happens on a lot of webpages, browser-based GUIs, etc. dealing with graphs, statistics and "some really serious stuff" needed for device controls, statistics programs, etc. - I don't know, if it's an Adobe problem, but they better rush to provide a fix for this problem... It's one thing not to be able to watch a funny video but it's another thing not to be able to see a server's GUI....

  • DW CS3 and Flash Player 8

Myself and colleagues, using the various CS3 tools, have
recently come across a worrying problem in Dreamweaver CS3. We
create Flash movies and save them out in Flash 8 format, so that
they can be played on machines with Flash Player v8 without the
user being prompted to install Player v9, which is not possible for
our student open access machines as student users don't have admin
rights to install to HD. It's no bother exporting a Flash CS3 movie
as Flash 8. When we come to place the Flash 8 movie into a web page
in DW CS3, though, DW puts in Javascript code that forces a check
    for Player v9.
Now, we can klunk our way around this by manually editing the
JS and <object> code in every single page, eg:
    quote:
    <object
    classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0"
    width="700" height="420"
    hspace="0" vspace="0"
    title="Referencing Websites learning
    object">
but this is not a tenable solution in anything but the short
term. Is there a tweak we can make to DW such that, when we embed a
Flash movie in a page, we can either turn off Player version
checking (we do this in the Actionscript so it's redundant to do it
in the HTML/JS) or set it to check for a version earlier than 9?
I've done a Help and Knowledgebase search, and the only
half-relevant doc I can find is the article
    on
placing Flash video which refers to
Commands > Remove Flash Video Detection which isn't
available on my copy of DW, at least when a SWF file is embedded
    into the page.
Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

Just don't click on the checkbox when you insert the Flash.

  • LR3 64 Bit - Not loading Flash Web Galleries

I recently upgraded to Win7 64bit and bought the 64bit version of LR3.
Unfortunately, LR won't load any flash galleries and just gives me a blank screen without any preview.
    Screenshot:
    http://www.andyhuddartphotography.co.uk/Misc/screenshot.jpg
I've got the latest version of Flash running although it must be said not without its problems; anyone else having LR and Flash related Win 7 issues?
I'm not having any speed issues in other modules and my catalogue from LR2 moved across fine so I'm one of the lucky ones so far...

I am having the same problem... running LR3 64 bit, Win 7, 24 gigs memory, but when I try to preview a flash gallery, the screen stays blank.
The only way I can preview the flash gallery is to preview it in the browser.
    Any solutions out there?
    Thanks!
