64 bit Outlook back to 32 bit

I installed the 64 bit Outlook, used for 8 months, need to uninstall and install the 32 bit version because of compatibility issues with some add in products. Will the 32 bit version be able to access and use the pst file from the 64 bit version or
do I need to export and then import?

Hi,
Yes, we need to export the pst file first. If you do not clear how to manage .pst file, please read the following article before remove Office.
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=287070
Then, we could completely remove Office 64bit, restart the Computer and install 32 bit version of Office.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9.4.5 | Outlook 2010  | Windows 64 bit

In other versions of Acrobat you were able to create PDF files of complete file folders within Outlook.  Originally when Office 2010 came out the Adobe Icon was not available and at that time I checked to see if there was a ‘fix / work around’ for it.  Yesterday, I looked once again and it appears this situation has not been rectified for Adobe Acrobat 9.4.5, Outlook 2010, Windows 64 bit.  After an extensively searching, it appears Nuance has a PDF program ‘Converter Professional 7’ which will convert the complete file folders within Outlook.  BUT I am wondering if Adobe ever fixed this & if not when do they plan on providing a patch with will?

    fwiw -
Adobe's Acrobat updates follow a quarterly release schedule.
That puts the next round of updates in the September time frame.
Aside from the product update page John provided, updates are tracked at this Adobe Blog:  http://blogs.adobe.com/psirt/
Keep in mind that Acrobat X is the current commercial release. Acrobat X at 10.1.0 provides some Windows 7 64-bit support via PDFMaker.
PDFMaker compatible applications, for Acrobat 6 through X are identified here:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/333/333504.html
As John posted, Windows 7 32-bit support (&, with 10.1.0 some 64-bit support) is provided by Acrobat X.
Looking at past practices I'd be rather surprised if any update to Acrobat 9.x, during the remainder of its support life, provided 64-bit support.
Acrobat's support life may be viewed here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.html#86
An unfortunate reality is that with migration to a new OS one has to also migrate to new applications sooner or later.
Navigated that tidal ebb & surge from Atari 1040STs & Amigas to DOS (of various flavors) & through the cyclic releases of Windows.
With that said one can always submit a request via Adobe's official request form at:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
    Be well...

  • Cannot go back to 64-bit mode

Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I back to the info panel to take CS5 back to 64-bit mode because some plug ins had been updated but the check box was no longer visible.  So I am in 32 bit mode and do not know how to get out.  Any ideas what I need to do??  I have included a pic of what I am seeing.
    Thanks

That's Get Info for the Photoshop CS5 folder. You need to Get Info on the Photoshop CS5 Aplication (which should be in the folder).

  • How can I tell if my firefox is running in 64 bit? (I went to play something on netflix and it said I needed to restart in 32 bit mode, now I want to go back to 64 bit mode)

I went to play something on netflix and it said I needed to restart in 32 bit mode, so I clicked restart in 32 bit mode and all it did was exit firefox and reload everything. At that point im guessing its in 32 bit mode now because I can now play movies on netflix. I wanna know how i can test to see if its in 32 bit or 64 bit ; and also how to go back to 64 bit.

You're right ''co-rel''. Apologies for the error ''pacific-ninja''. There's an illustration of it on this forum: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1122762

  • Switching back from 64 bit jvm process to 32 bit process

I have my customer, go-live on WLS 9.2 MP2 on Sun Solaris 10 on 64 -bit. We have faced several crashes related to different reasons. I had applied 3X4R patch from Weblogic as well. Now, because they are on production and server crash is unacceptable, I need to rollback to 32 bit version that is more stable. So, can anyone point me to documentation that states the steps to rolling back to 32 bit process from 64 bit. The concern here is to ensure that rolling back along with 64 bit patches from weblogic shouldn't create any new issue.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.

First of all I am kind of surprised you've got a
speed gain of 20% using the 64 bit mode. I thought in
general there was not much speed gain and sometimes
even a loss of performance. My own reason for using
64bit mode is to be able to address more than 4gb of
    memory.
Saying that, it seems you have the choice of either
run in 64bit mode and connect somehow (RMI???) to a
32bit JVM that will run your 32bit native libraries.
This seems to be a bit of a fragile and dingy
solution to me, which probably quickly loses any
speedgains you get from running in 64bit mode.
Or you just go for the 32bit mode all over, and hope
that some day in future your 3rd part libraries
become available in 64 bit mode.
Honestly, unless you're going to address lots of
memory, I think this last solution is the most viable
    option.Good advice!

  • When I use 32 bit version I easily find plugins but for Nighty 64 bit I can not find some plugin for this browser what can i do I don't want to return back to 32 bit please advice

When I use 32 bit version of Mozilla I easily find plugins but for Nighty 64 bit I can not find some plugin for this browser what can i do
I don't want to return back to 32 bit I love Nighty 64 bit and I'm satisfied with performance
what can I do please advice ?

Many plugin vendors haven't updated their plugins to work with x64, or you have to download a special x64 version (Flash and Java for example). Which plugins is it that you are having problems with?

  • 64-bit AnyConnect back to 3005?

Has anyone successfully used the new AnyConnect client to connect back to a 3005 series VPN Concentrator?
We have Vista 64-bit clients who need to connect to our pre-existing VPN networks, both a 3030 and 3005 concentrator. This is for the medical field, of course at a community hospital where just replacing the concentrator is not an option at this point...
Anyone successful at doing this yet?

  • Converting BACK to 64 bit in CS5

I know I went to a folder whose name I cannot remember in finder and selected "get info" and then somehow converted to 32 bit but now I wish to convert back to 64 bit,
Can anyone help me with this?

OK I just found the right info box. I unchecked open in 32 bit. Thank you both very much.

  • CallConnector for 32-Bit Outlook

    Cisco Forum:
I'm supporting a customer trying to implement the Smart CallConnector Toolbar application in a Window's 7 64-Bit environment with 32-Bit Outlook.  The latest I could find on the forum is that this is not a supported environment (Window's 64-Bit with Outlook 32-Bit).  Do you know if that is still valid information?  We loaded the SCC today and the installation worked except that Outlook is not reflecting any SCC Toolbar information.
Thank you for any feedback you can offer.

  • Reverting back the 64-bit operation

I tried out Noise Ninja plug-in with a photo and this converted Aperture 3 to a 32-bit application. Now when trying to edit any photos all the adjustment options are grayed out. How can I revert back to a 64-bit application? Anyones help would be appreciated.

To set the program back to 64-bit mode:
Quit Aperture and then select the Aperture.app file in the Applications folder > press Command + I to Get Info on the file > deselect the 'Open in 32-bit mode' option > restart Aperture.
Note - one other thing that can create the issue you are seeing is having 'Quick Preview' turned on. Pressing the 'P' key toggles this on and off.

  • Cannot go back to 64-bit mode for A3

I had been running A3 in 32-bit mode for the last few days. I saw that Hyrda and AperturetoSmugmug export plugins were updated to 64-bit, so decided to go back to 64-bit mode. I did the "Get Info" dialog, and de-selected 32-bit checkbox. Then when I try to start A3, I get a crash, it will not start in 64-bit mode. I tried removing all my plugins from the ../Application Support/... directory, still cannot open in 64-bit mode. I then tried to re-install the Trial verison (temporarily renamed by Aperture.app file in /Applications). Well, I could not even open the newly install trial version in 64-bit mode! When I set the trial version to open in 32-bit mode, everything was fine. I Have included the crash log here. Just wondering if anyone has an idea? Least I can run in 32-bit mode for now...

thanks for that, but having tried the various options, still not managed to organize a refund, or anything for that matter, been on hold now for 25 minutes, first time was for 17 minutes, spoke to someone who was putting me thorough, to then have automated message saying issue could not be dealt with and it then hung up! been on to live chat and this was posted: -

    24 hours a day, 7 days a week
    Chat is currently closed
Which would be funny if i havent already spent 3 1/2 hours trying to sort this. I am really not enjoying my adobe experience, never known such a difficult company to speak to a 'live' person. Now on hold for 29 minutes and need to go out so nothing to be done now until tomorrow. If there is a real person from Adobe reading this, i would appreciate a call/direct email to get this resolved. now 31 minutes and I have to hang up as need to go!!! aarrgghhh!!!

  • How to roll back to Firefox 3.6 32 bit from Firefox 4 64 bit

I am running firefox 4 64 bit on windows 7. However my remote citrix connection for work needs a 32 bit browser. How can I install a 32 bit version on my PC when my OS is 64 bit?

I can tell by your user agent string that you are using the 32 bit version of Firefox 4.0.1
Your user agent string is '''Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1''', the WOW64 part means you are using a 32 bit version on 64 bit Windows. A 64 bit browser would display win64 instead.
All release versions of Firefox on Windows are 32 bit, though a 64 bit version is being developed.

  • Installing SAP GUI on 64-bit Windows 7 with 32-bit Office

Until about 6 months ago, 64-bit systems in my environment had 64-bit Office 2010 installed.  That caused some problems with other applications, so I made the decision that, going forward, ALL systems would have 32-bit Office 2010 installed.
Apparently, it's taken 6 months, but I finally have a need to Install SAP GUI 7.20 Patch 6 on a 64-bit Windows 7 system with 32-bit Office 2010.  It turns out, that doesn't work.
    I receive this:
Not all package prerequisits [sic] are fulfilled
Outlook Client extension for the synchronization of SAPoffice calendar with Outlook calendar... No compatible version of Microsoft Outlook found.
I am assuming that since this same installation works on my 32-bit systems, that it is upset about my architecturally-mismatched Office.
Am I correct about the source for this problem?  If so, is there anything I can do to make the GUI work in this environment?

    Hi John,
Actually, there is no mismatch in having 32-bit Office installed on 64-bit Windows.  In fact, this is probably the preferred environment.  SAPGUI in general is much happier with 32-bit Office, especially older patches (by the way, 7.20 is no longer in support -- you should upgrade to 7.30).
The errors you're receiving are most probably related to lingering 64-bit components of Office on your workstation.  We had the same situation in my office a while back, when we first started rolling out 64-bit Windows to a few users, and the PC techs mistakenly thought that meant they had to install 64-bit Office.  That caused lots of problems, since 64-bit Office is incompatible with many things, not just SAPGUI, as you found.  Correcting the error by simply reinstalling Office 32-bit resulting in workstations with some 64-bit and some 32-bit components, and that just made things worse.  Systems where 32-bit Office was installed from the beginning (on 64-bit OS) had no problems at all.
So, what you're probably going to need to do is to uninstall all Office components (including Outlook, Visio, anything like that, not just Word and Excel), and also uninstall your SAPGUI, then reinstall 32-bit Office (with Outlook) from scratch, then reinstall your SAPGUI.  This will probably clear up your problem.
    Regards,
    Matt
