64 bit version PS crashing... help

I installed this on my Dell Studio i7 Windows 7 machine. Premier is working great but cannot get 64 bit version of photoshop to run. Help if you have suggestions.

Pen_Tablet.dll
5.2.1.6

C:\Windows\system32\Pen_Tablet.dll

Installed updated WACOM driver and that did not fix. Running the Bamboo Fun on my system. (Seems like the issue is the 32 bit driver looking at the directory path. Any ideas?)

    Hi Adrians,
I would suggest you to re-install the product, if you have a 64-bit operating system it will download both 64-bit software and 32-bit software.
Let us know for further query.

  • When I connect my phone iTunes tells me that I need to uninstall and reinstall a 64-bit version.  I have the 64-bit version installed.  Help

I have been fighting with iTunes for the past few days.  My wife deleted a file by "accident" and I have been working to get iTunes to work ever since.  I have worked through numerous issues and managed to work through them all, but have now hit one that I can't and that I can't find a solution elsewhere.  I have done the complete uninstall (complete meaning, very complete) and reinstall of the 64-bit version of iTunes several times now.  The software works fine until I plug in my old iPhone (4).  When I do, the software popps up with a message that says that I have the wrong version of iTunes and need to uninstall my current program and reinstall the 64-bit version.  Anyone else out there had this happen and if so, what did you do???

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, does your device connect without that message now?

  • Is there a 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows 7 64-bit?

I'm just a bit confused. I have Version 8.x of Firefox, which seems to be a 32-bit version. The help site seemed to say that there is a 64-bit version of Firefox, but when I went to download it, I got something called Nightly, which has now replaced my Firefox. Is nightly a fully-functioning version of Firefox? Is there any advantage to using it as my browser? Is there any reason I shouldn't use it? I would call myself an advanced intermediate user in terms of computer literacy.
Another related question: When I search something on the help site, I often see references to Version 3.x or Version 4.x. Is my 8.x on the same numbering system as these versions? Is it the most up-to-date version?
    Thanks for your help.

Nightly is a pre-release testing version of Firefox: bleeding edge and not necessarily stable. It is Firefox -- a rose by any other name, and all -- but it is buggy, as all testing software is (I'm using it right now). New Firefox versions are born from Nightly, so when a 64-bit version of Firefox is released, it will have come from Nightly development. Use it for general browsing and send feedback (Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General) and you will be helping to beta test a new baby Firefox.

  • It wont sync with 64-bit version

My iphone will not sync. It says remove this version and install the 64-bit version. I did this a number of times. I uninstalled everything and all apple products. I even cleared the registry manually and did the disk cleanup. No matter all the combinations that I have been doing for days it still will not sync and says I need the 64-bit version. Please help I cant take this anymore.

    Hi chaosfourever,
Try taking a few photos with the iPhone and then connecting it to the PC? Is the iPhone recognized as a camera?
Try updating the USB driver as shown in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

I need to know which update(s) I can apply to help stabalize the system.

Typing the body of the thread message in the title, huh? -)

Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out.  --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

Is there a download of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software if I'm not using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3?
Yes, you can download the Boot Camp 5 Support Software here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. • Forms Crashing  Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 On Windows 7

    Dear All,
Recently we have migrated all our Development PC's to Windows 7, and then after whenever we open any forms which is having more size the system is crashing. Does anybody have any solution for this .Currently we are working with XP MODE and this is also not a full proofed solution.
    OS : Windows 7 Professional 32 bit
Forms Developer Version : Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2
    Thanks in advance.

It is likely that you are either not using a Professional release of Windows (i.e. "Home Edition") or have some other issue on your machine. Assuming you are in fact using one of the Professional releases of Win7 and believe that you have carefully followed the installation instructions which I previously mentioned, I would suggest you completely uninstall (including the manual deletion of any registry entries and directories in the file system) then reinstall. It is very important that you are in the "Administrator" group before attempting to install. The same is true when you attempt to use the Builder. Also, helpful would be to disable or relax Windows UAC before starting the installation.
As an alternative, consider installing and using Windows XP Mode (Windows Virtual PC)

I Have downloaded the 64 bit version of iTunes for my Sony running Windows 8.  Install went fine and I can get in to iTunes and see the music residing on this machine.  However, everytime that I try to run iTunes Match Windows crashes.  So frustrating.  BTW, this worked fine until a couple of weeks ago.  Anyone know what's going on?

How big is your library?  I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
    - Backup your library.  Always a good idea before messing with things.
    - Create a new library.   Refer to this article for details:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589.  This won't delete your old library, you're just creating a new empty one.  Also refer to this article to get back to your old library later.
    - Add a few albums into this new library.  Not everything, just a small sampling, as a test.
    - Activate Match on this new library.  You shouldn't have to re-pay, it should just say "Add Computer" or similar.
    - At this point, Match should run again. With just a few albums it should complete in just a few minutes.
If iTunes doesn't crash at this point, then likely there's something about your original library that Match doesn't like - what that is I don't know, but at least you'll know it's not your PC.   If iTunes still crashes, then if could be a number of other things, but probably not your library.   My next suggestion (if you haven't already done this) is to uninstall / reinstall iTunes.   If that doesn't work, then my next ideas you won't like.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you are running 64-bit Windows and the above steps haven't helped try installing the version of iTunes that can be downloaded from this support document. iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
If you still have no luck try reinstalling iTunes 12.0, links in the user tip.

I have a Toshiba pen-based tablet PC where I have the 64-bit version of Windows 7 installed. I get the following information. I can't look at the about:crashes since Firefox won't start.

Ok I think I know the reason for this.
Toshiba provides a password plugin with their finger print manager software. After I updated my laptop with the finger print manager, Firefox stopped working, like described above.
    Solution is pretty easy:
    1) Boot firefox in safe-mode
    2) Go into Tools->Add Ons->Extensions
    3) Hit disable on the 'Automatic password input in FX 1.0' extension
    4) Restart firefox in normal mode
