Check in settings, general, usage and see what is taking up all of your space.

    Read above

Don't turn photo stream off on your other devices.  When you do it deletes your photo stream photos and when you turn it back on you will only receive photos added to your photo stream during the last 30 days, as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
Instead, create a shared photo stream on your iPhone that includes the photo stream photos that are not on your other devices and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).  You can then access these photos within the photo stream section of your photo albums.
To save your photo stream photos on your device permanently, save them to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

  • ISight Working but only with Photo Booth

My built-in iSight is not working with several apps including Skype and iChat. iChat gives message being used by different application. the camera does work with Photo Booth. This is a new problem that has developed since upgrading from 10.5 to 10.5.1. I have tried several steps (PMU reset, deleting Photo Booth preferences, etc) but no joy.
Would appreciate any other thoughts.... There do seem to be a rash of similar issues under discussion at the moment but I can't seem to find a solution that works for me.

    Hello Sanpper F
    (0) Shut down everything and restart your modem, router (if you use one), and Mac. Let each device's self-test complete before starting the next. When all have restarted, check to see if you still have the problem.
    (1) Try all relevant from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93240 and test again.
    (2) Try reapplying the Mac OS X 10.5.1 Update. Repair permissions after the restart at the completion of the installer run. Then check to see if your trouble is fixed.
    (3) If none of the suggestions you get here solves your problem, when you post back please:
    (a) list every app you tried iSight with that does not work.
    (b) tell whether the problem behaved EXACTLY the same in a new user account
    (c) verify that your QuickTime Streaming Speed preference is set to your broadband speed (not "Automatic")
    (d) list anything else that changed (network or Firewall settings, added hardware or software, etc.) since the problem apps worked correctlly
If needed, we will try to offer more specific suggestions based on the details in your reply.

  • After a recent restore on my iphone i left the wireless network whilst it was backing up from icloud, when i got home and back on wireless all my apps etc continued downloading but only 6 photos, can i retrieve these from icloud?

Can i go back to an icloud back up before i lost my photos? I have tried yesterday 10/09/2012 but when restarting my phone from icloud the earliest backup it would let me select was 8/09/2012, it was about a week before this when i lost my photos and videos.

Do you even have an iCloud backup to restore from?

If not, there is nothing to restore from.

  • 8750 Color Problems - posterized edges / blown out only on photo paper

I have an 8750 printer.  It worked great for a while.  Printed quite a number of glossy 11x17's from photoshop no problem for a big office presentation.  Didn't use the printer for a few months,  then when I went to use the printer,  the colors started having real problems, giving a posterized look.  So first I bought new cartriges, no improvement.
I went throught the cleaning and testing cycles.  Now it is not completely posterized any more but the highlights are completely blowing out and turning white and orange.  But only on photo paper, on regular plain paper the prints are perfect.  It seems to me that this is a software or firmware problem.  I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers.
Tried and tried, using small images, selecting different paper, resolution, color controlled by.. options and using many brands and types of photo paper.  One time it came out perfect on a small 2x3 test, thought it was fixed, went and printed same image, same settings from photoshop full size and the blown out highlights came right back.  Printed on plain paper and again print was perfect.  Tried every setting imaginable, including the full DPI but no difference.  Also tried printing straight from Windows default picture viewer, same problem.  Also put a 500mb flash card into the slot (for printer RAM?)
Ran cleaning after cleaning and test after test.  The test page comes out showing good, but randomly sections of the fine color strips at the top are completely missing, using the print test protocol from the printer's control panel.  Any ideas are really appreciated.  Otherwise this is an expensive piece of ewaste.  Help me solve this problem or the printer gets it!!

comparison of images on plain paper versus glossy paper can be seen here, I cannot figure out how to imbed image in post
    http://runryder.net/printpic.htm?i=/helicopter/gallery/1811/Print_Problem.jpg
Also, the image prints fine from my Canon color printer on 8.5 x 11 which is the size I was trying to print from the 8750.  Finally, I also tried printing jpg version of the image from a CFcard plugged into the printer, same result.  Bad.  Weird how it is selecting the areas to blow out.

  • HT4597 Can I just choose which apps or photos to sync via iCloud since I don't want all of them in all my devices?  I have all photos & apps in my iMac but only sync manually some of them to my iPad and to my iPhone. Can I still do this with iCloud?

I have 3 Apple devices - iMac, iPhone, and iPad.  I am planning to move to iCloud from MobileMe.  In iTunes, I just choose to sync whatever files I want my iPhone and iPad to have since they don't have sufficient disk space as my iMac.

Calendars, emails, contacts, are fine since files are small.  What I'm afraid of are the apps and photos.
    Any reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not.

    thank you

If you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone, photos in the Camera Roll should have been transferred to your photo steam automatically when the iPhone was connected to an available wi-fi network.
Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup.

  • HT4847 I'm new to iPhone and iCloud... I have lots of pics on my iPhone but only some appear on my iPad, they're in Camera Roll on the phone but random ones only have come into Photos on the iPad - can anyone help? Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation. (Photostream does not currently share video)
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.

  • When I create an album and then try to watch it in slideshow, I get only a black screen with a white title.  No photos come up.  Also when I click on an individual photo in the album, I get a white exclamation point on a black background but no big photo.

When I create an album of photos and then open the album and try to watch it by selecting "slideshow" I get only a black screen.  The white title comes up briefly but then no photos, only a black screen.  Also when I go back to the album and click on a thumbnail, up comes a big white exclamation point on a black background instead of the enlarged photo.  Any idea what's going on?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • HT201077 I shared a photo stream of 174 pictures but only 20 are showing up in the folder that was sent out. Any solutions?

I shared a photo stream of 174 pictures but only 20 are showing up in the folder that was sent out. Any solutions?
    Help much appreciated!

Upload to the shared Photo Streams can take a long time. Sometimes hours. Did the photos appear by now in the stream?
Is the iCloud status o.k. ( iCloud Support webpage)?
Did you share from your mac or from a mobile device? And where are you checking the stream? On your Mac? If you are uploading from a mobile device - is the battery fully charged? Uploading to the Photo Stream is the first that will be suspended, if the device needs charging.
have ypu exceeded any limits? Daily hourly upload rates? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4858

  • I am trying to upload photos to a library but only some of them uploaded.  I even tried to rename and upload to a different library but I can't get it to work.  I don't get any error message it just doesn't respond.

I have been uploading pictures for a while but ran into a problem last night that I cannot resolve.  I was uploading files starting in Revel and selecting the "add photos to album".  I selected 144 photos but only 88 uploaded.  I checked and confirmed that the missing ones are not in the library.  I tried to re-save and reinitiate the upload on Revel.  I then tried to save the files with a new name and upload to a new library.  Neither option worked.  I do not get any error message.  it just fails to upload.
Is there a system problem?  Any suggestions?

    Hi there,
Are you uploading from the Revel Mac app or a browser from adoberevel.com or from a mobile device?
    Thanks!

  • New PC, reinstalled CS4, photos appear blurry, but only inside of Photoshop???

I recently upgraded to a new PC, on Windows 7.  I've finally finished reinstalling everything and getting things back to "working order".  But I'm noticing something very troubling.  When I open previously edited photos in Photoshop, photos that I considered "final" (meaning they were print-ready), suddenly appear blurry.  The same photos viewed on my website are crisp and look as I remember them looking...so it's not the monitor.  Which leads me to believe that Photoshop is doing something odd to these pix.
Anybody have any ideas as to why the photos would appear blurry, but only in Photoshop?

OpenGL operation uses a smoother resampling, but if you're seeing it as "blurry" it could be that there are features configured on the GPU that suit gaming or something that are causing excessive blurring.  Normally the differences between OpenGL-based display operations and non-OpenGL are almost unnoticeable.
Any way you could capture your screen with/without OpenGL and show what you're seeing here?
Here's the same image screen grabbed at 71% magnification showing the OpenGL / non-OpenGL difference in display on a properly working system.
If you're seeing more blurry images than the one on the left, then you have a specific problem you should work to get to the bottom of.

  • Sync albums but only sync 5 star photos in each

I would like to sync only the 5 star photos from each of the albums in my aperture library so that they appear as albums on my iPhone but with only the 5 star photos inside. At the moment I am syncing a single 5 star smart album but it contains 1300 images and it's hard to find what I'm looking for on my iPhone. My photography style is to take lots of photos and choose the best in Aperture. This means I might have an album in Aperture with 300 images in but only 20 that I rate 5 stars. Basically, I want all my albums on my iPhone but with only my 5 star rated photos in each.
    Can anyone help?

Yes, that's an option I've considered. But as with any database, size is inversely proportional to speed - larger database equals slower performance. LR 5 is much better than earlier versions in this regard but when you reach 100,000 images you can feel it.
This is incorrect. I accept that you think the database is getting slower, but the database (and really all databases) are designed to work pretty much the same regardless of the number of records, except for perhaps searching through the entire catalog. We have seen in this forum people who are now editing larger RAW files than a few years ago, they see it is slower, and decide it is the size of the database, rather than the size of their photos.
What aspects of Lightroom are slow? If it's scrolling and displaying the previews and searching, then it might be the database. If its displaying images in the Develop module, it is NOT the database at all.
Have you taken steps to improve the performance of the database, such as Optimizing it regularly? have you tried these performance tips: FAQ: Experiencing Performance related problems in Lightroom?
