64bit iTunes for Windows 7 constantly crashing while accessing the store

Is anyone else having problem with iTunes recently, 12.1 is constantly crashing whenever I try to visit the iTunes store , even blowing away my iTunes directory and re-installing and starting afresh iTunes crashes almost immediately. iTunes is unusable like this.
What can I do to help diagnosis these problems? minidump? log file?

So I believe the issue I see is related to the much reported JavaScriptCore.dll issues (the below is from my event viewer),,crashes with this signature are heavily reported, what I've also noted that if I am using my laptop at home rather than work iTunes doesn't crash. (I've tried all other items, reinstalling, making new iTunes folder, removing all Internet temp objects)
So clearly this is network related, obviously related to the network configuration.
However this is still the fault of "iTunes" a crash with an exception code of 0xc0000005 is an access violation, which means its most likely a NULL pointer deference or accessing corrupt memory.Surely Apple have seen this enough to warrant a fix.
I am also really surprised that Apple is not making an attempt to fix this, crashes like this which are highly reproducible are often the source for exploits
Here is hoping a future fix, for alas iTunes is currently usable.

  • TS1424 iTunes for Windows: 42032 error displays when accessing the iTunes Store.

Has anyone a solution for the following itunes error when I try to open the I-tunes store: unknown error 42032.

    Doublechecking. Is that a 42023 rather than a 42032?
If so, perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

  • ITunes 12 crashes when accessing the store

I installed Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1. Since then, it crashes when accessing the store (wolor wheel)
I re-installed iTunes. It works with my Library when my iMac is disconnected from the net, but as soon as iTunes tries to access the store and refresh iTunes Match… Bang. It freezes again and I have to re-install it (it freezes again when I restart, even when disconnected).
Ho can I solve this, please ?

I was having the same issue. iTunes Match had little or none to do with it. Basically anything that required logging into the store (I needed to re auth). Frustrating because iTunes now makes you use your apple id for the tiniest little tasks, and worse yet, it shows logged in, but it really isn't. Anytime I tried to authenticate it would time out and then cause iTunes and a library file to not respond, causing me to force quit. I did notice my wireless connection was suffering. I rebooted my router and tried again, voila! connected and authorized! no time outs! iTunes 12.0.1.26 seems to be a little sensitive to weak connections?

  • ITunes 11.0.5 crashes when accessing the store.

I just updated to iTunes 11.0.5 recently and whenever I try to access the store, it crashes. The loading bar gets about 90% loaded and then I recieve an "iTunes has stopped working" message form windows and am forced to close the program. I've tried a few things from the support communities, but nothing seems to help, so I'm hoping someone even more tech savy than me can figure this out.

Every time I try to access the store or turn on genius or do anything besides listen to music, iTunes immediately crashes. There appears to be a lot of discussions going on about this problem with previous versions...none of which have a solution. So I'm trying to start a new thread and hopefully get the right person's attention on this frustrating problem!

If you attempt to search for a solution on various forums there appears to be a link for this problem with issues accessing quicktime, and system 32 files.  I have got no problems accessing quicktime, and i Have re-installed itunes several times, uninstalled anti-virus, turned on and off the firewall, all to no avail.  At this point evertime Itunes is opened it attempts to connect to the store and crashes, so cant even listen to the music in the library.
Anybody got any ideas how to fix?
    Thanks in advance
    Simon

  • 'iTunes has stopped working' when attempting to access the store

This is driving me nuts, had this problem for almost two months now.
On my Windows 7 laptop iTunes is opening fine (able to play music etc) however trying to access the store leaves me with a 'iTunes has stopped working' error message, followed by iTunes closing.
I have NO IDEA what is causing this. I've tried numerous fixes from other threads e.g. copying Qwin files (whatever it is) to it's appropriate folder, redownloading, trying on different user accounts but no luck. I have a feeling this is to do with my account/iTunes match but cannot be certain.
On my mac iTunes works fine - I can access the store, play matched music etc.
Desperate for a fix to this! Anyone got any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • How can I add the lyrics for songs in MP3 format in iTunes for Windows? There is even no the 'Lyrics' tab in the 'Get Info'.

This topic may be old for you, but I searched everywhere on internet and there's still no solution. I even called the Apple Support and the contact support is taking so long to answer... I can't add the lyrics for songs in MP3 format in my iTunes 11.1.3 for my Windows 8.1, I clicked right at the song in my iTunes library, clicked 'Get Info', and there's no 'Lyrics' tab there. I tried several lyrics-adder programs but they just won't work. How can I add lyrics for my MP3 songs then?

You may find that the file is Read-only, which means that it cannot be altered.
However, you can change the Read-only in "Properties" using your file manager.
    1. The location (for the next step) of a song is found by looking n the Get Info/Summary>Where: of each song. Make a note of the location.
    2. Go to the location (on your computer) of the song, right-click it and the last item on the pop-up menu is Properties. Go into Properties/General>Atributes and turn off the tick in the box named Read-only. Now go back to your iTunes Library and try that song again. The Lyrics tab should now be there.

  • Itunes freezes at 50% when attempting to access the store on WIN7 Pro

Using a Dell Latitude with Windows 7 Pro, fully updated, and working internet - selecting the "store" from the iTunes page results in the status bar freezing at 50% and I can not access the iTunes Store.  Anyone have suggestions for setting changes etc.

Did not get any responses - so did some digging and found the answer myself in other discussions.
    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

  • Why does iTunes shut down when i try to access the store?

My iTunes has worked fine for many years but recently it started shutting down as soon as i clicked the Store, Match or Ping link.

Just deleting and reinstalling the software won't delete your music. Your music is stored on your computer. But, you should backup your iTunes purchases on a timely basis regardless.
Read here >  iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
    Reinstall iTunes >  http://www.apple.com/itunes/

  • I have downloaded the latest version of itunes and it opens but i cannot access the store

i cannot access the itunes store even though i have an internet connection and i have downloaded the latest version...i had no issues prior to 10.5...i have also unistalled itunes and reinstalled it per Apple support...twice. no luck ugh.

It's likely your antivirus or firewall is blocking the download. Try disabling them. Also, if you have a Windows computer a recent Microsoft update corrupted winsock settings. To fix this open a command window as Admin and type:
    netsh winsock reset
After a restart of the PC you should have no more iusses.

  • 64bit iTunes for Windows 7

    why can't i install 10.6.1 64 bit?

It sais the installer encountered errors before iTunes could be confiured. Errors occured during installation. your syste, has not been modified. Please run the installer again or click Finish to exit. Also, I already removed the other version from the computer becuse it wouldn't update from within the itunes that was installed either.
The only reason I even attempted to update was because I got a message when I plugged in my iPad that said the device couldn't work with the software, and that I should update using the installer.

I have tried to download it mutiple times, restarted my computer and tried again but it still says corrupt file. any idea what the problem is and how I may be able to fix it?

    Okay.
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
