64gb Sandisk microSDXC in Razr M?

Can this card work in the Razr M?  If so, how?  When I install the card and select Mount SD Card, there is a message that says "Blank SD Card."  The options to unmount or erase are not available.  I've tried two of these SD cards in two different Razr Ms with the same results.
Thanks.

I had problems with my 64Gb card as well. It would not format on my PC with FAT32.  I then put it in my Razr M and went to the storage app.  I scrolled down to the card then swiped down from the top of the screen and got the format card message.  I formatted it and now only have to wait a bit over 2 hours for my 395 albums to load from my PC.  BTW.  I have to upload from my PC through the USB cable.  My PC won't recognize the formatting.  Anyone have any ideas?

  • Rebel T3 microSDXC 64gb in Adapter work?

    I have a Canon Rebel T3.
I have a microSD adapter card, that you can put a microSD card in.
I was going to get the SanDisk microSDXC 64gb card to go into the Rebel T3. However, as you know, the T3 does not accept microSD type cards, only the full size SD card.
Can I take the microSDXC card, and put it in the adapter, then the adapter into the T3, and use it in the Canon Rebel t3?

    Yes you can.

  • UHS-3 U3 transfer speed rate in microSDXC Extreme cards (SDSDQX-064G-U46A) - Are they UHS 3 or 1?

Hi there, This is a question for SanDisk engineers (hope Dr. Lucky , the wise SanDisk master can respond :-) The question is regarding the SanDisk microSDXC Extreme , part number is SDSDQX-064G-U46A and EAN code is 619659096014.
Looking at the front of the blister you can see UHS-1 (U1) labelled at the blister and also at the microSD card , I know that SanDisk has launched another serial of the same card with UHS-3 (U3) enabled , but at this time all the official SanDisk suppliers in the EU only have in stock the UHS-1 version. The prroblem is that the official pictures provided by SanDisk (Aprimo portal) appears the UHS-3 not the UHS-1 as the stock I have.  I´ve got a customer that complains about the UHS-1 transfer rate as he needs the card for 4K recording, I know that 4K recording is valid with UHS-1 cards as well. I´ve seen that Amazon has listed the UHS-3 (U3) version, and I wantedf to know if the card is the same despite the blister shows UHS-3 (U3)  or UHS-1 (U1). As far as I understand i think the card is the same as the read speed of 80MB/s appears in both versions (U3 and U1). Could you please clarify if there are 2 different versions of the mpn SDSDQX-064G-U46A? I guess this is a SanDisk commercial issue and the card is the same but I want a official response from SanDisk in oder I can clarify to my customers. In the past SanDisk launched many different versions of the same card (i.e. the microSD Ultra 64GB, android versions..etc..) This is a picture of the UHS-1 version :  And this is a picture of the UHS-3 (U3) version:  Thanks in advance for your response, Eduardo (MemoryVal)

    Hi memoryval,
The change fro U1 to U3 was a blind roll and the SKU has not changed. The cards are the same in reference to speed the only change was from U1 to U3. Unfortunately from a part number ordering perspective you will not be able to distinguish the newer U3 cards from the older U1 cards.

  • Maverick does not mount flash card USB3 sandisk

a new USB 3 64GB sandisk flash card when connected to my 15 inch Retina that has USB 3 connections.
    Anyone with similar problem ?
Problem for aplle to fix ?
    Download a USB3 driver ? and from where ?
    thank you

Update - I have three Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex external harddrives.  The two that I have connected to my Macbook Pro no longer can be read.  I took the two and connected to another MacBook Pro but it would not read the drivers either.  I took my third drive which I have not connected to my Macbook Pro for several weeks and connected to the other Macbook Pro and it reads it fine.
I downloaded drivers from Seagate but it didn't help.  I started my computer in safe mode, HD didn't work.  I have another drive containing a duplicate of my internal HD (using Superduper) and booted with the backup drive.  It would not open the two drives.   I'm taking the HD to a friend who has a G5 using an early Mac OS, 6.0.  These two drives contain my video files and I need to retrieve the files.
Conclusion:  The Maverick on my computer has corrupted the first two Seagate drives.

I could be wrong, But I think 32GB is the maximum external memory you could put on a BlackBerry OS7.1 smartphone.  But if you just want to format the card, do what's suggested above and see if it works on a 64GB card. Cheers!

  • Yosemite won't mount external encrypted disks!

HELP! Finally upgraded to Yosemite. Because my old SAS card is not working, I installed a Sonnet eSATA card. I have three drives connected to it via eSATA. One of them mounts just fine. that drive is not encrypted.
The other drives were encrypted using Disk Util back in Mountain Lion (or Lion even) and I've never had any issue. Now, when I power them on, I get asked for the password, and then the OS tells me they are unreadable! HELP!
I know this isn't the case. I'm about to revert to Mavericks, but this is ridiculous.
Anyone have any idea what could be going on, I've searched and cannot find any information.

    Hi,
I'm having the same/similar problem. I have several external USB 3.0 drives, all were encrypted under 10.9, and I have to wait minutes before they are fully mounted and accessible using 10.10.
When connecting a (nearly full) 2TB external USB 3.0 drive today to my mid-2010 MBP for the first time post-upgrade, I was prompted for the password after waiting for minutes. Keychain has the password as saved when using 10.9, but I was still being prompted. I entered the password (the "remember in keychain" option was selected), but I was then prompted again and again for the same. I clicked "Cancel" and the drive mounted on the desktop.
Ejected the drive, reconnected, and the drive did not load. I was not prompted again for the password but the drive did not mount. I could see the drive in Disk Utilities, with the primary reference (poor terminology) appearing as normal, and the sub reference (the encrypted drive) appearing grayed out. I detected no activity via the light indicator on the face of the drive. The drive eventually mounted after ~5 more minutes. I was able to see the files, open the files, and copy files to the drive without trouble.
I then repaired permissions and repaired the drive. Disconnected, reconnected, and still waited minutes for it to ultimately mount.
Deleting the password from Keychain and re-saving through 10.10 does not fix the issue.
Clicking the "Unlock" button in Disk Utilities does not expedite the prompt for a password or expedite connecting the drive.
Using different USB ports makes no difference.
For comparison, I then attempted with a blank 64gb Sandisk USB 3.0 drive encrypted under 10.9. Same issues. Wiped it and applied no encryption, disconnected, reconnected and the drive mounted immediately. I then wiped it and encrypted it under 10.10, but minutes passed before prompting for a password and mounting the drive.
My passwords used during the above are 50 characters long. I wiped the 64gb drive again and applied a 4 character password, but the issues persisted.
I hope this helps someone identify a cause and develop a fix as soon as possible.

  • I have won a 11 inch 128GB MacBook Air and want to increase the storage to 256GB, is that possible?

I have won a 11 inch 128GB MacBook Air and want to increase the storage to 256GB - is that possible?

When one is tight on storage space, offloading data onto a $79 external spinning disk drive is cost effective but not portable.  When you are not at your desk you cannot access the data.  On any Mac that has a MicroSD slot, one can add up to 128 GB of inexpensive portable storage using the following options that cost less than $100.  This is cost-effective alternative to upgrading the internal SSD on a MacBook Air for $200 to $315. One can use multiple microSD card to multiply the storage they carry with them.
Time Machine does not backup these microSD cards so using an alternative backup program, such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper!  would be prudent.  One could partition their Time Machine backup drive(s) with 64 or 128 GB partitions (one per microSD card) so another backup hard drive is not needed.

Thank you.  I used the Link to format the Removable SanDisc as NTFS.  Began EasyTransfer again, but with same result.  "Problem with media".  Is this the problem, and is so, the fix?  My Computer recognizes the removeable drive
as "K".  However, on ET, when asked where the files are to be stored, the Line defaults to removable disc "F", with options of G, H, I & J.    It will not let my type in "K".  ??

  • Can't get TimeMachine to complete when my Nifty MiniDrive is mounted., Can't get TimeMachine to complete when my Nifty MiniDrive is mounted.

I have a Nifty Minidrive that I use to store my iTunes library.  It's permanently mounted with a 64GB Sandisk micro SD card.  It works great, but I have noticed since I installed it that my Time Machine backups will not complete to my seagate USB harddrive.  If I unmount the minidrive the backups will complete.  I have told time machine to ignore the minidrive and still nothing.
This is very frustrating because I like to backup every couple days and removing the mini drive is impossible without a specialized little tool that isn't always handy.
    Any help would be great!

Force Quit the app. It's under the File menu.

  • Phone heats up, hangs and restarts due to problems with the media index.

A few times a week my phone heats up, hangs, and goes into a restart loop every few minutes, which drains the battery quickly. After some research in the diagnostics app I have come to the conclusion that it is the Media Storage app that hangs. I see spontaneous restarts in the android.process.media process every few seconds. A work-around is to go into settings, apps, all apps, media storage (Lagring av Media, in swedish, or android.process.media in android) and clear data. This immediately stops the problem, but then I usually need to reboot the phone manually once to get it to rescan all media again, since all that indexed data was lost.
I suspect that my sd card (SanDisk microSDXC Mobile Ultra 128GB (Class 10)), with 90GB of MP3 files has somehow related to do, or at least makes matters worse, although I haven't tried to go for a week without it. The media data is usually around 50MB, when I clear it, this quickly rebuilds, until next time...
The media storage index seems to be prone to corruption, and/or one or more processes reading or writing is corrupt.
This is a nuisance since if I don't catch it rebooting right away I can be without battery quickly.
So, even though the fix is easy now that I've found it, I would rather not have the problem at all. Worst of all, is when this happens when I'm in a call, or when someone tries to call or text me, but I don't notice, since the phone is hung. Also there is nothing wrong with the phone, this must be a software issue, where an error isn't handled correctly.
In the early days of researching this problem, I did a factory reset, which actually cleared up some other issues I'd had with bluetooth connection in the factory installed software (even though it was of the same version). After this I waited to install any apps, and just went with standard vanilla android and sony apps. Still the same problem occurred after a couple of days. So it isn't related to third party software either. I see lots of posts online which detail this workaround, some as old as a few years old, but none with a real solution.
    Help please?

I recieved a reply from Sony Xperia Care support. They suggested removing the SD-card to see if that helped. Fingers crossed I have now gone three days without acting up. The next time it does I'll try removing the sd card and see if I can break the record of seven days without a problem.
They claim that it can be a hardware fault with the SD-card (highly unlikely in my opinion). Or a corrupt file on the card. I have only used the phone operating system and the Sony PC Companion application to transfer files. None of them have warned me about corrupt files. Also, if I can go seven days without a problem, why not eight? It's not like it acts up every time I access a particular file. It's just random, and rarely when I'm doing anything that access files on the sd-card.
My guess is still that the media storage indexing is buggy. It's much more likely that the storage index is corrupt, than a file, for this behaviour to occur. Note that I work as a software test officer, with 25 years of IT experience, so I have a vague idea what I'm talking about.

  • The following files were not imported... could not be read

I continually receive this error message when using Lightroom 5 to import raw files from a Canon 650D.
Sometimes LR will import some of the images, more often none.
I've tried a complete reinstall of the computer (OS X 10.8.4)
I've tried updating to LR5.2 release candidate.
I've tried deleting my 'Preference' file and letting LR recreate it.
I still get this problem over and over and over again and it's really starting to become annoying.
I have permission to write to the target directory.
LR sometimes gets one or two files, then the error.
LR is always slow slow slow when attempting to import, far slower than LR4 ever was.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or is this just a shortcoming of LR5 - no images?
I've passed a raw file to someone else who confirmed there was nothing 'unusual' about it and was able to import it to their LR5 install.
Glancing through google/these forums, it seems like a common problem with lots of suggestions but no solutions that work for me. Please help.
*edit - I should clarify - the full text of the error is 'Some import operations were not performed. The following files could not be read.'
Followed by the number,  and listing of files, I'd really like to PP.

Thanks. Good question. Direct from camera via USB.
I attempted via Image Capture. This timed out partway through the first time (trying 150 images) - "your camera has powered down, x images not imported (or words to this effect." It was still slow.
It did succeed after 2 attempts with Image Capture. I could then import to LR5 from Hard Drive, no problem.
I'm using original Canon USB cable, SDXC card (supported by my Canon 650D) is formatted in camera. It's a 64GB SanDisk. 45MB\s. Class 10 and has never exhibited any unusual behaviour either in camera or in SD reader.
I purged the caches as suggested.
I also reviewed all of the import settings and changed them a little in the hope it makes a difference (Build Smart Previews = ON)
I've just reformatted the SDXC card in camera. Fired off 20 shots. Attempted via LR5 and worked first time.
My experience so far is that this problem will reoccur. Probably when I have >150 shots on the card.
I'll wait until it happens again and try a more controlled comparison, direct from Camera, via Image Capture/HDD and time things too.
I have tried a second SDHC card previously when this error first occured. This exhibited the same behaviour, suggesting either the camera or LR5 or OSX or ?

Latest software installed, CD inserted, tracks listed but alas absolutely no information about them, the box in the options has been selected for (the now hateful!) Gracenote and as recommended elsewhere here I've started my computer under a new login, all to no avail.
What is the point in having a couple of hundred music tracks on a 'phone if you don't know what they are?
As for finding Gracenote on Nokia's help -links, you would have more chance of being diverted to a recognized link if you put the word baboon into their search box, infact a baboon would be more helpful!

  • Action Cam, Recording blank files

I have an action cam with a 64gb Sandisk Card, when i set it to record it will record files of 10-12 mins at a time instead of continuous, which is fine, but after 4 files the 5th an on are totally blank, they had a data size, 1.77gb, a file name as normal, and a type .mp4 as normal. But there is no no video same with any photographs, the are all blank........ When I later added a new file without the watch it was a blank file again, if using the watch instead of just the button on camera, it works fine again. Does this mean I need to always use the watch, I paddleboard and the watch is just a pain to use all the time....

I was having exactly the same problem and fingers crossed I have sussed it.  Well it worked for me, hopefully you too! The problem I had was I got a 64GB card and noticed as soon as the clip got to anythinging bigger than a few hundred MB it would not download to PC or play back for love nor money, either through the PC or the Camera app on iphone/ipad etc.  I have seen EE's advice, download VLC.  Well I tried that and I tried every player I had, Itunes, VLC, etc etc, all coming back with various messages, mainly saying the codec must be corrupted.  EE were unable to help so..... Try formatting the card from the camera itself and not in the PC. It's in the settings, just go through the menu and you will find it. Format it in situ and voila! Now  I did not do this previously beacuse as soon as i got the card and put it in the camera it seemed to work fine as I did a quick short clip to test it.  It seemed that as they get bigger they did not work.  Unfortunately you will lose everything you have recorded and you will not be able to recover them. I can say it has worked perfectly since, any size and EVERY time.  Good luck and if this works, pass it on!  It seems a common problem so hopefully, if this works for everyone, EE will add it onto the quick links.

  • S10-2 Boot failure

    Hi!
I have an old S10-2 that has had troubles starting, and I´ve been reading trough the forum for answers.
    But I cant´t find a working solution.
    From start:
Installed multiboot program for using Linux and win XP, then the problems began. It started refusing to boot any OS.
But after resets with power buttons and such it would finally awaken.
Then I got tired of it so I decided to wipe the hardrive clean, and making a new clean installation of Win7.
Problem is it wont boot the installation disk properly, so I tried Ubuntu on USB, wont work either.
Although it reads the USB and the External DVD, but it just wont go on.
So I installed the Win7 on the HDD using another computer, it works properly on that computer.
But when I connect it to my Lenovo it´s still the same thing.
It comes to the point where it´s supposed to load the starting drivers. but then everything freezes.
I can only see the loading bar of old Win XP?
But without the Win logo and it just sits there, doing nothing, no progress bar or anything.
Same thing with Ubuntu, loading all the commands and drivers and when it´s about to boot up, it freezes.
I´ve tried numerous ways of wiping the HDD totaly clean, setting up partitions and so, but nothing helps.
Even updated BIOS, but that wont help either...
I really hope someone has a terrific solution!!
    Cheers!

Unfortunately, in order to gain enough knowledge in the world on how to fix things... you have to make mistakes. This is one of those mistakes you make in your qwest to learn more.
You couldn't have known that Lenovo was doing such strange things. The reason they did it was, they wanted you to have the ability at all times to re-install the operating system the way it came from the factory even if you destroyed everything.
The hidden D: drive holds this magic capability. It also allows you to boot to a Linux system and run a program by just pushing one button. That was a strange and clever thing to do. It, also, is done under the hidden auspices of that D: partition.
In that hidden 30GB partition are all the image files which can be re-installed. This makes it be a magic little computer that needs no CD or DVD drive. Even if you kill the operating system, you just push one button and it reinstalls from the hidden D: partition.
If you wish to reinstall the computer with a different operating system, for example (LIke I did) you have to wipe out the E: drive and install Windows XP or such there, not on the C: drive.
Of course, very few people are doing such things. Most just use the S10 the way it comes from the factory, which is very limited. It's pitiful how powerful the Lenovo S10 is, and how crippled they have made it.
I, for example, run a full Windows XP Professional system on it, have a video driver software which lets me scroll the screen almost six-times the size of the teeny screen they give you, and have Dexpot installed which lets me switch between many different kinds of desktops. I also have over 200 GB of storage in the form of miniscule 32GB MicroSD cards plugged into these super-tiny USB adapters which plug-in to a four-USB hub that's tiny. I've changed out the screen to be a Pixel Qi screen which can be used outdoors.
I did that because I will be using it while on a cross-country bicycle trip and I will be using it with Photoshop to manipulate photos I take. I will be charging it from a folding solar panel by charging an external battery which is 20 Volts, then running it from that battery (solar panel isn't consistent enough for the charging circuitry to not give up if you try running it directly from the solar panel).
So, it's an amazing little computer. I have an old version of Lightwave 3D, Photoshop, a full XP Professional, BartPE USB so I can create my own boot disks, and I could go on-and-on. In fact, I just did a full backup of C, D and E with 100GB filled using EaseUs Todo Backup and then transferred all of the C and E image files to a 64GB Sandisk drive in case my operating system gets completely whapped on the trip.
The Lenovo is amazing. Coupled-up with the Pixel Qi screen it is just stupendous. With Windows XP Professional, an external DVD writer, a folding keyboard and a wireless mouse it's like having a full computer that can be fit into the very tiniest of cases.

  • Lenovo Tab S8-50F Micro SD Card Disconnects Unexpectedly

About every 4 hours the SD card disconnects.  Its a 64GB SanDisk MicroSD card.  I can take it out and put it back in and it works fine again, but then after a few hours...blink...out again.  Very frustrating.  Seems to be a firmware problem rather than hardware.  Please fix.

Latest firmware for me and a 64 GB card, although I did see another user with a 32 GB card on this forum with the same issue.
