650 CDMA by Sprint - Internet uses in Brazil?

Hello Every one, I'm bring from USA a used smartphone Treo 650 version CDMA by Sprint to Brazil. I live in Brazil and today i uses this apparatus as mobile (pre-pay) only, but I would like know how do I uses the Internet Services without a Provider Service Mobile? I would like know too if this Smartphone can receive Wireless signal for a Wireless Roter for example to conect at Internet ??? Someone can help please?? Give me some orientation !?!? TANKYOU VERY MUCH, excuse me for bad english!

Unfortunaly for the phone to function you will need CDMA wireless service from a carrier, like Vivo. It does not have the ability to pickup WiFi signals for that is completely differnt and device does not have a WiFi radio built-in Good chance your pay as you go provider also has pay as you go data plans to get data on the phone.

If you're on windows try the following:
This worked for me an hour ago and has allowed me to sync ok. Still haven't tried downloading the new version 5 to the phone yet as I'm still backing up photos etc just in case.
1. Quit itunes
2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> right click Command Prompt -> Run as Administrator)
3. Once in the command prompt type the following 3 words starting where your cursor is flashing: netsh winsock reset
4. press ENTER
5. Reboot your machine
6. Restart itunes & connect device to sync
7. Good luck

I have a desktop computer with xp Pro windows. I updated from Firefox 3.6 to 4.0 and found I could not connect to the internet using this updated bowser. I had to remove 4.0 and reinstall 3.6 to restore a working version of Mozilla. Why did this occur?

I tried to update my browser from 3.6 to4.0. On restarting the computer I found I could no longer connect to the internet. I then connected to the internet using Internet Explorer and removed the mozilla browser and reinstall Mozilla firefox 4.0. Again the browser using this updated version didn't work. So reinstalled Mozilla firefox 3.6 and it worked.
It appearsMozilla firefox 4.0 has a problem.
My operating system is Windows XP pro.

Brand new iMac, and the load time for internet use is very poor

Brought my new iMac home today. 2.7 GHz intel core i5
Got it set up with my wireless and i am very unimpressed with the internet and loading speed. My phone, 1 lap top, and 1 ipad use wireless in our house along with the iMac. i have a cisco linksys E2500 is that sufficient enough all of my usage? No gaming more than what a todler would play on. Basic internet use and editing pictures.
My question i guess is, is it my router or are iMac's just not that fast?

If you haven't already, verify that you can connect to the internet through some other means such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet with your laptop to rule out any network setting issues. If you are able to connect successfully to the internet, use that opportunity
to make sure you have
Windows 8.1 Update installed as well as any other applicable updates your laptop may require.
You may also want to check the
Windows Compatibility Center to make sure that your device is compatible with Windows 8.1.
Another possibility is that the driver your laptop is installing for the device isn't the correct one. Check the device manufacturer's site for the most up to date driver they have available for Windows 8.1.

MBP upgraded to Yosemite and now will not connect to Internet using a Cisco router

I Upgraded my MBP mid 2010 to Yosemite and now it will not connect to Internet using a system that involves typing in my user name and password in an auto pop up window provided by Cisco security systems. Before, using Mavericks, it worked perfectly: boot up MBP and the Cisco pop up auto loaded. Typed it my password and hey presto, connected to Internet. Now, zilch. There is nothing wrong with the Cisco cos my iPad connects ok, as do both my iPhone's.
the problem is with Yosemite therefore. Please help. I tried all the usual diags, etc to no avail.

Sounds like there could be some kind of compatibility issue between ICS and this Bluetooth device of yours. Is there any compatibility info from the manufacturer about which Android versions that's being supported?

I am trying to connect my server using an Ethernet to router and want to search the internet using another wifi router. How can I accomplish this?

I have a small storage server and want to connect to it via Ethernet. I also want to connect the internet using a separate Wifi router from my provider. How can I do both?

Set the service order to have wifi first.
System Preferences > Network > Click on the gear > Set Service order

No internet using Snow Leopard

I am unable to connect to internet using Ethernet or since installing Snow Leopard. I have checked with my service provider and they say it should be working fine. I have tried using Airport Express thorugh ASDL and Ethernet as well and this doesn't work. Any help will appreciated.

So what happens if you plug a ethernet cable between your mac and adsl router , check in System Preferences / Network and make sure its set to Ethernet , once you plugged it in you should have a green light.

Unable to connect to Internet using dial-up. Mess...

Discovered the problem when trying to use my work laptop to connect remotely to the work network using the Internet.
Later tried using the home computer and to connect to the Internet using our ISP and got the message "No dial tone. Check the modem is plugged into the phone line"
Have checked that the modem lead is plugged in correctly. Have unplugged and re-plugged in. Also have tried using different modem leads from phone socket to computers. This does not solve the problem.
Therefore tried different computers, modem lines and different ways of connecting to the Internet therefore do not believe problem is caused by out equipment or Internet settings.
Have no telephone extension socket.
Have another phone line coming in to the house but this is not used/is not active.
BT 1571 is not set up on our phone line.
BT have done a normal line check and found no fault. with the phone line. Indeed the phone works fine for voice communications.
Have looked at line socket and tried test socket - again telephone works but dial-up doesn't.
In the past have had problems where the dial-up connection kept dropping.

If the 'phone line works, but you're getting a "no dialing tone" message trying to connect with a modem, then it must be either your equipment or the way it's set up.
Can you hear a dialling tonw when the modem goes "off hook" ? If you can, try setting the modem to blind dial - ie go ahead and dial, regardless of whether or not it thinks it's getting a dialling tone. I can't be more specific than that - it's years since I messed around with AT commands, although I've probably go an old manual or two hiding somewhere.
If there really is no dialling tone, as far as the modem is concerned, I'd suspect the lead. Some modems use non-standard terminations - although the connectors fit, the wires need to be terminated on non-standard pins at the modem end.

Cannot connect to internet using apple applications

I cannot connect to the internet using these apple applications: Safari, Software Update, iTunes.
I can connect to the internet using Firefox and iChat.
I have just reinserted my OSX 10.4 discs and reinstalled the software (making an archive and using my old settings choice). But it still doesn't work.
Why won't apple applications connect to the internet?

If you have an external drive that you've backed up your system install to, you may be able to boot off of it and see if things work normally (as I did when I moved from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 and had the issues)... Ultimately I ended up making a second back-up of my external back-up and running the 10.4.9 update offline. It went well, so I cloned my back-up back to my normal start-up. I can't remember now what the issue was then, but it was pretty problematic for me.
My routine, when I see an important update available is now:
1) Don't update when Software Update finds something;
2) Save my work and close all applications.
3) (Recommended): Bring my back-up clone of my start-up drive up-to-date.
4) Run software update.
5) Restart when it tells me to (required for many updates, and all system version updates)
6) Run software update again on re-boot to see if there's anything else that follows... (usually none)
7) Run disk utility and repair permissions.
