6500A-710n cannot connect to web services

I was on web services and receiving printing apps.  Suddenly, my apps stopped printing.  I have tried all the other solutions, resetting to default, etc and still cannot connect to web services.  It asks for a proxy.  I have put the google proxy 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but these don't work.  What proxy & port can I use?
thanks for your help.

Hi Nancy,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your print apps not printing as scheduled.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
Has there been any changes to your home network (new internet provider, new router, or new network password)?
Are you able to send to print jobs to the printer's ePrint email address?
Thank you.

I bought a HP Color Laserjet PRO MFP M177FW  today and I set up it. It can print and scan over wireless network. However, It cannot connect to web services correctly. I set the DNS numbers with google DNS addresses. I changed its IP address with manually. The IP address is unique. Normally It doesn't enable/remove webservices. But when I restart it, it can do for few minutes. It can take an e-mail address but It doesn't print any information sheet. When I try to print a sheet It says "Connection Problem" at first few minutes and later it says "Connecting"and it waits, there is no error message. What am I suppossed to do? Please help me.

  • Laserjet Color MFP M276nw Cannot connect to Web Services, tried every suggestion on forum

I've tried every suggestion possible on the forum. I opened up all ports suggested by HP support on my Belkin wireless N600 router. Changed DMZ to IP address on printer. We even directly wired ethernet to printer, still cannot connect to Web Services. Now I have to wait till April 4 for a engineer to call me back. Everything else is working fine. I can print wirelessly from my laptop & smartphone. Just cannot access Web Services, oh & firmware is up to date on printer & router. We changed DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.

It sounds like you have done everything to connect the web services.  Web services will not connect if you are on a guest network but if you are connected via ethernet it should be on the right band.  What is the printer's IP address? Sometimes it can be too high. Is this for a company that has a proxy on the network?  How far away is the printer from the router?  Are there any metal shelves, wireless devices or anything else near the printer or between the printer and the router?  Check that the router is on Channel 11.
--Printer Does Not Connect To Web Services--
Have you heard back from the engineer?  I am anxious to know how it went.  I am happy to help if they don't, otherwise keep me posted on what happens.  I possibly have one more step for you.

  • HP 7510 says it cannot connect to web services.

My HP7510, having been able to cannoect to Web Services now says that it cannot, so it cannot update (I don't know if it needs to) and asks me to check that it is connected to the the network and the Internet. It is. I have resorted to a fixed IP address because a automatic one caused problems with different computers. There are other people with this problem in the HP community but the answers they have found do not work in this case and seem barmily random. What is the cause of this problem? How can a machine on a wioreless network on which every other device connect to the Internet have difficulty connecting to the Internet unelss it is broken?

The steps below typically resolve the issue you’re experiencing:
    1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your router (and modem, if separate from the router).
    3. Wait 20 seconds, then plug the router (and modem, if applicable) back in.
    4. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the printer back in and power it on.
    5. Press the ePrint button on the printer's front panel, and it should try to connect to Web Services again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue, but if it still occurs you can try setting static network info for the printer (which sometimes helps to stabilize the printer's ability to get outside of your network, to the internet):
    1.  Press the wireless icon at the top of the printer's screen and note the IP address.
    2.  Enter the IP address into the address bar of a web browser on a computer and press enter or click the browser's go button.
    3.  The printer status page should be opened.  Click on Network at the top.
    4.  Click on Networking on the left.
    5.  Select Proxy Settings.
Note:  If you are prompted for a redirect, select OK.  If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that lets you continue anyway.
If you receive a Internal System Error, refresh the page until it loads the proxy settings.
    6.  Verify that all fields are blank.  If they are not, clear them and make sure the Proxy Server requires authentication is unchecked and click apply.  You should get a success message.
    7.  Click on Network Address (IP) on the left.
Note:  If you only see IP Address Configuration and DNS Address Configuration with a yellow note, refresh the page until it loads completely.
    8.  Leave the IP Address Configuration as Automatic IP.
    9.  Change DNS Address Configuration to Manual DNS server.
    10.  Enter 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Manual Alternate DNS Server.
    11.  Click Apply and you should get a success message.
    12.  Power off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it back on to force the new settings to take effect.

  • Envy 7645 Cannot connect to web services

I have a new Envy 7645 that cannot connect to the web services.
    Things I have tried:
Verified Internet access. The printers "Web Access Test Results" report shows "No problems found"
Verified wireless connectivity by connecting to the printers Embeded Web Server
I statically set the DNS to 8.8.8.8 (primary) and 8.8.4.4 (secondary)
The IPv4 address was assigned via DHCP so I changed it to static (manually) assigned
Re-verified wireless connectivity by connecting to the printers Embeded Web Server with the static IP
Lots of printer reboots to make sure the changes took effect. (Have you tried turning it off and on again? Ha!)
    Logged into the https://www.hpconnected.com website
The printer is registered under my devices tab
The printer status is "offline"  (I assume this would change if the web services were working)
    Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Thanks for putting the time in to a very informative post about the ENVY 7645 not being able to connect to Web Services. When you attempt, what is the exact error or message?
I would like to you try the DNS of: Primary DNS Server = 209.244.0.3 & Secondary DNS Server = 209.244.0.4
Re-boot printer and router, then try again to connect.

  • Cannot connect to web services HP 7525 printer

I tried the solution posted " put IP address in a browser etc...... but when I do that in Exploer all I get is jiberish, no web page with the network buttons.

    Hello @JACKUSHNER,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're receiving a message stating "unable to connect to web services" using the Photosmart 7520. I will do my best to assist you! I would start off by following this entire HP document on A Network Connected Printer Cannot Access Print Apps, Web Services, or ePrint.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great night!

  • I'm connected to the internet but I keep getting the message cannot connect to web services

When I Scan to Email in my Photosmart 7520 all-in-one printer, I get the message, "Unable to connect to web services. Confirm internet access and try again."

    Hello @Skrafty,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are having a problem with the scan to email feature on your Photosmart 7520.
    I would like to help.
Touch the ePrint icon on your printers display.
If you get the same server connection error, Try setting a manual DNS.
The following link is to a post by happytohelp01.
It contains instructions for setting a manual DNS.
Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times
If you do not get a server connection, then I would remove Web Services and enable again.
Warning:  If you remove web services the printer will lose its custom ePrint address.
This address will be lost forever. It will also wipe out any scan to email settings.
To remove Web Services, touch the ePrint icon.
Go into settings and select Remove Web Services.
You will be brought back to the printers main menu.
Touch the ePrint icon again and enable the feature.
Once you get the printers claim code (used to customise the ePrint address) you can setup scan to email again.

  • My printer cannot connect to Web services

    Hi,
When I tried to set up the Web Services, I got an error.
The error is "Server problem. The printer could not connect to Web Services. The server might be busy or temporary unavilable. Try it again later."
I am connected to the internet (WiFi) and the Internet connection is no problem.  I have had this problem for 2days. I would appreciate any your advice.

  • Cannot Connect to Web Servicea

I cannot use Web Services. I connected my printer to my bridged Apple Time Capsule successfully and my HP Photosmart 7520 wireless network test identifies no problems. When I click on a Web Service item on the home screen, the printer then asks to accept the Web Service's terms of use. I selected "accept" and then it asks if I want to turn on automatic updates. I select yes and then it transitions to a screen where it is checking for product updates. Immediately, it returns to the first screen asking if I accept Web Service's the terms of use. That continue to occur every time no matter how many time I repeat the process. There are no error messages. Lastly, this same thing happens when I go to the setting of Web Services and try to enable Web Services or select ePrimt. I can review Product Updates under Web Services and it will successfully identify that my version is the most up to date.
    Additional infrmation.
I use ADSL services from DOCOMO in Tokyo, Japan. The connection at my house already provides DHCP services so my Apple Time Capsule is set to Bridge mode to prevent Double NAT issues. I tried setting the printer to automatic IP configuration and manual and received the same results. When I tried manual settings, I tried many settings. First I set my router to DHCP and tried it with the Double NAT error. I set the IP address outside of the DHCP range, put the gateway as the DOCOMO IP address, and set the DNS the same as the routers. Next I changed the DNS to google's 8.8.8.8 and alternate 8.8.4.4. Next I setup my router to Bridge Mode and tried the above settings again. In addition, I tried using both my DOCOMO IP address and Router IP address and received the same results. I also used both DNS settings as identified above.
All of my electronic devices, iPhones, iPads, Samsung TVs, Panasonic TVs, Samsung DVD players, Samsung DVD players, laptops, and even the HP Photosmart 7520 works fine on my network except the HP Web Services.
Thank you for any assistance and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Hi TheDoc1961,
I would like to help you with your Web Server issue. I suggest the you Reset the Printer. Then I recommend just setting a static IP address on the printer, instead of being set from the router. If you would like to do this, follow these steps:
Enter the IP address for the printer into the address bar of the browser of your choice.
Click on the tab "Network" (at the top)
Look in the left column on the new page that will pop up and select IPv4, wired. That will bring up the page to set the manual IP address & manual DNS.
Then, for the Manual preferred/Primary DNS, set it to 8.8.8.8 and the Manual Alternative/Secondary to 8.8.4.4; then click apply.
Let me know if this helped.
    Thank you,
I worked on behalf of HP.

  • Cannot connect to Web Service to change IP address

Already said, I have a LaserJet Professional P1606dn printer, had it for a while now. Someone sent a print job to it, nothing out of the ordinary, and all of a sudden, it printed that print job over and over. I checked in the print queue, nothing was there (not even on the server where the printer is stored). We save the printer settings and the driver on the print server and install it on machines through the server. We turned it off and waited a few minutes, then plugged it back in. It was okay until someone else sent a different print job. Started spitting out the print job from before (then one printing over and over). I did a factory reset on the printer. Needless to say, it changed the IP address (but did not change it to 192.168.x.x). It kept our domain's IP but the last number in the IP address changed. I figured the IP address would change and I was okay with that. Here's the problem: I printed a Configuration page with no issue and it gave me the IP address. However, when I try to log on to the printer via the Web Service (putting the IP address in a web browser), the page times out and says it can't be displayed. All I need to do is go in and change the IP address to a static IP address (back to the original IP address).  Under "Network Information," the status says "An unknown error has occurr" but the rest of the sentence/error is cut off. I'm not sure if it gives an error code or just stops with "occurred" or what. And unfortunately, the printer does not have a display screen so the only way I can change it is through the Web Services via a web browser. I've tried Google Chrome (my default browser) and Internet Explorer. Both browsers timed out and said that the page couldn't be displayed.

Could be your network.  What I would do is connect the printer directly to a computer using a crossover cable.  I would recheck the ip address on the printer and make sure the computer has an address with the first 3 sets of number the same and the last digit on the computer 1 off from the one on the printer.  Then use the web browser on the computer to see if you can attach to the printer.  If you can you can then change the ip address to what you want.  Keep in mind most times when you have the issue you are having the issue is the driver and the computer sending the print job.  In other words the q may be empty but the printjob file in the windows subdirectory has not cleared.  Sometimes you have to go in and physically delete the printer.  It could be on the server, but sometimes it is on the local machine.

  • WWSAPI - Cannot connect to web service via SSL and HTTP proxy authentication with NTLM, errorCode 0x803d0016, HTTP status 407

    Hi,
I built a web service client using WWSAPI. The connection works via SSL (without HTTP proxy) and it works with SSL and proxy with basic authentication as well. When I try to connect using a proxy with NTLM authentication, then I get the errorCode
0x803d0016, HTTP status "407 (0x197)", "Proxy Authentication Required".
In WireShark I see only one HTTP request to connect to the proxy with NTLM Message Type: NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE. The HTTP Response returns Status 407 and the connection ist closed. Comparing this to Internet Explorer - the Connection is not closed and
a second request with NTLMSSP_AUTH is sent.
Why doesn't it make the complete NTLM handshake? Why wasn't sent the NTLMSSP_AUTH directly?
    I oriented in the HttpCalculatorWithKerberosOverSslClientExample.
    Using WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SECURITY_BINDING,
    WS_SECURITY_BINDING_PROPERTY_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SCHEME was set to WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SCHEME_NTLM, WS_SECURITY_BINDING_PROPERTY_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_TARGET to WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_TARGET_PROXY. I tried WS_DEFAULT_WINDOWS_INTEGRATED_AUTH_CREDENTIAL_TYPE but also WS_STRING_WINDOWS_INTEGRATED_AUTH_CREDENTIAL_TYPE.
    Any idea?

  • Cannot connect to web services

I'm having 2 problems at the moment but I think they are related.
    1. When I try to add users to a SharePoint group, I get the following message:
"Sorry, we're having trouble reaching the server."
    2. When I try to connect to my Site with SharePoint Designer, the status message says that it is "Communicating with Web service...", I get the following message:
"Request Error Request Error The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details. "
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Maurice,
There could be two possible reasons for error - "Sorry,
we're having trouble reaching the server."
    1. Alternate Access Mappings are not properly configured in Central Administration.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sharepoint_strategery/archive/2013/05/27/alternate-access-mappings-explained.aspx
    2. Your SharePoint Farm is running out of resource. The hardware requirements in your SharePoint Farm is not meeting the recommended scale. Ensure that you have put enough RAM, processor power, etc.
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288751(v=office.14).aspx
Now coming to your second issue - "Request Error
The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details"
To dig in more and better understand this issue, the best method is to explore ULS Logs:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS
You may use ULSViewer.exe to explore the ULS logs
    ULS Viewer or Log Viewer
Please try to open the site in Designer, and quickly check the log files in it whether there is related information about this.
You can also do troubleshooting steps like:
Open the site in browser, check whether you can open it.
Open and run the SharePoint Designer as site administrator and check if issue is still occuring.
Enable Anonymous Authentication for your SharePoint web application in IIS Manager.
If none of the above 3 steps resolves your issue simply restart your server and this should fix the problem.
