660 TI not connecting to monitor?

Hello. I'm Norwegian, but I'll try to explain this as good as possible.
I got my 660 ti/OC today, and I installed it careful into the computer. I started the computer, and installed the newest drivers. It all went smooth, until I launched CS:GO. It took about 5 minutes, and then
I got a blue screen.. I thought, "ok, thats no biggie", and it booted again. I tried to play the game once more, and almost the same thing happened. But my screen went totally black, and I thought the card war broken..
I tried connecting it again and again, checking all the cables, but the card would not connect to the monitor. I have a new computer, with a Corsair AX 750W PSU, and the fans at the card is working.
I tried installing the card into my fathers computer, and there it worked fine.. He got a badder PSU than I do, and a three yrs old PC.. His card, and my old card are working fine in my computer, but not the 660 Ti.
Does anyone here have a solution or a tip that might help me? This is pretty frustrating for me, and it makes me sad..
Things I've tried:
- In another computed
- Taken out my soundboard
- Reset every bios settings
- updated everything
I'm not good at this, because I've never had any serious problems with my old computer (had it for 4 yrs). But I have BlueScreen Viewer, so please tell me what info you need, and I'll hand it to you. All help is very appreciated. I really hope you havre som answers to me. Thanks.

  • Elitebook 810 - Displayport to VGA adaptor not connecting dual monitor

I bought a displayport to VGA adaptor (Insignia) for connecting Elitebook 810 to my old HP monitor. When I connect the monitor 'goes to sleep' and won't display. Received msg I can't recreate about not recognizing the hardware and to use HP hardware. Any fixes? Thanks!

    Displayport is a digital signal.
    VGA is an analog signal.
This will never work. Your solution is to either get the ultraslim dock that comes with VGA or get a monitor that has displayport OR HDMI.  Then you can buy the DP to HDMI (because both are digital signals). DP and HDMI carry the audio signal so you can hear audio from the monitor (if it has speakers).

  • MacBook Pro does not sense external monitor (Panasonic HDTV in my case) via thunderbolt-HDMI connection...Is update 10.8.3 helping anyone?

My MacBook Pro (newest model in 2013 so far) does not sense external monitor (Panasonic HDTV in my case) via thunderbolt-HDMI connection...Is update 10.8.3 helping anyone else who has this issue? I returned my multiple HDMI adapters after figuring out it had to be an Apple issue n not the adapters so I can't check it myself now.
    Thanks!

I have late 2012 MBP 13" and connect to my Panasonic Plasma correctly.
But using the same cable, can't connect to an LG 47LM6200, the MBP detects the TV, the screen blinks blue, but the TV shows "no sinal detected" message.

  • Apps crash when MacBook not connected to external monitor

I have been using my macbook connected to a Samsung T240M 24 inch monitor/tv for several months now with no problems at all until 2 days ago. Everything functions perfectly when the computer is connected to the external monitor, however, when I disconnect it and go mobile with my computer, almost every application I try to use crashes with the single exception that I've found so far being Firefox.
Does anybody have any clue what could be causing this bizarre behaviour? I've tried different display settings when not connected to the external monitor to no avail. PLEASE HELP!!!!

dude...that question is barely worthy of a response!!! Of course I have! I also shut it right down before disconnected the monitor.
I'm thinking this will be the thing that finally makes me get off my lazy butt and upgrade to Leopard (hoping that will fix the problem)! It's such a strange thing to just start happening after months of no problems at all.

  • Can you WIRELESSLY connect a macbook pro to a monitor to have extra work space on a separate screen from your macbook? (not mirror, extra monitor/workspace)

Can you WIRELESSLY connect a macbook pro to a monitor to have extra work space on a separate screen from your macbook? (not mirror, extra monitor/workspace)
    It needs to be wireless.
I am not asking about mirroring, but as a second screen.
Apple tv communties said the Apple tv cannot do this, but maybe another type device can?

My thunderbolt port stopped working on my late 2011 MacBook Pro rendering my external monitor useless--or so I thought.
Mac Genius suggested using the Apple TV via AirPlay Display as a $100 solution. Took me all of 6 minutes to figure this out as there are no directions in the Apple TV box supporting this. But, it does work and I am now back in business.
PS. Don't set up with bluetooth--seems logical but you want to use AirPlay Display under Settings > Displays.
Also, I originally thought my external monitor stopped working because I upgraded the OS. This time, it was definitely a hardware issue and not software. It also fixed a known sound issue my monitor had with Macs. First time in my 15 years I've ever had a ViewSonic have issues with an Apple product, too. Thanfully, it is now fixed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problems (not responding) when monitor not connected

    Hi All,
I have been having problems with certain applications when using my macbook without the LED Cinema display connected.  When the monitor is connected there are no problems at all, but if it is disconnected and I try to open Google Chrome it just bounces in the dock for a while and then becomes not "not responsive" in the activity monitor.  When I force quit Chrome, I get the ignore / report dialog and the Chrome window popups very briefly and disappears when I close that dialog.
Similarly if I attempt to open file in Sublime Text it hangs before opening the file dialog and is marked as "not responsive" also.  Same for MS Office (OS X version of office) when trying to open a file.  Other applications like Safari, Firefox and Xcode open ok and the file open dialogs open ok too.
Sometimes if I leave the laptop for a long time (30mins to many hours) the applications will come back and then work.
I have been trying identify the cause for a long time and recently I discovered that the problems only occur when the monitor is disconnected.  If I restart with the monitor connected the problems do not arise.  I tested it repeatedly by connecting and disconnecting the monitor and the issue always corresponded to the monitor being disconnected.
When started in "safe mode" the problems do not occur even with the monitor unplugged.  I also uninstalled a number of applications I thought could causing issues but none of these had any affect.  I also removed all applications from the startup for my account, again no improvement.  I also enabled the guest account to see if it was a problem with my account but the issues occurred as the guest user.
A number of web searches suggested reinstalling Chrome, checking permissions of the application directories and restarting with option + command + p + p held down until the startup sound plays twice.  Not of these suggestions fixed the problem.
My macbook details are as follows:
    Macbook Pro 15"
Processor  2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
    Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
And the monitor is an Apple LED Cinema Display 27"
Hopefully someone can help me resolve this very frustrating problem, my laptop is of little use when not connected to the monitor because of this.
I have pasted the report from Chrome when I force quit it as it may help identify the problem.
    Many Thanks,
    Stef

Problem solved!! A colleague suggested that I disable the "Automatic graphic switching" in the Energy Saver settings.  Since disabling the problems appear to have gone away.

  • IOS8 8.0.2 Bluetooth will not connect to Heart rate Monitor H7

I have just switched over to the iPhone 6 and it is running the 8.0.2 IOS 8 version but it will not pick up or pair with my Heart rate Monitor. We saw the same issue when Updating to 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. It looks like when you update to the new IOS it will break the Bluetooth connecting option to the drive that worked on IOS 7 or before.
I thought this would be an issue with the HR monitor but it works fine on any device until yu update to IOS 8. I would say this is a backwards compatibility issue with IOS 8 not connecting to devices that iPhone used to connect to in Earlier IOS versions.
Are there any plans to fix this bug in IOS 8 to allow for being able to use Devices that worked in previous IOS versions?

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Yosemite will not allow external monitor connection

I have a 2008 MacBook Pro with a DVI port for an external monitor. I use it to connect to a Panasonic LCD projector to watch movies through my computer.  I recently upgraded to Yosemite so I could use some new software, and now my computer won't connect to my projector.  The computer recognizes when I connect the monitor to the DVI port, but does not show it as an available display in the Systems pane.  I've read about all the graphics bugs with Yosemite, is one of those?  Is it possible to use both Yosemite and continue to use my projector?

    Hi SG Counselor,
If you're seeing no signal or getting no video on your external display, then I'd like you to follow the steps outlined below.
No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow," or flickering
    Check connections
When using an external display be sure to check the following:
If you're using an Apple notebook, confirm the AC power cable or adapter is securely connected to the computer and the cable providing power to the display is also secure. It is always good to have your notebook connected to AC power when an external display is in use.
Confirm display adapters are fully seated in their respective connections and that they are supported models and for the computer and display. Refer to these articles to assist you with adapter compatibility and further configuration information:

Remove all display cable extenders, KVM switches, or other like devices and retest to determine if the issue is resolved.
Try unplugging the video adapter or cable and then plug it back in.
If more than one video adapter is in use (or "daisy-chained"), troubleshoot by using only one adapter.
Example: A mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter connected to a DVI to HDMI adapter is an unsupported configuration because there is a series of adapters in use.
If available, try using a different display and or adapter (or use a different connector by using DVI instead of VGA, for instance).
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.
Using Closed lid, Extended Desktop, or Mirroring display modes
When using multiple displays, information can be presented in a number of ways. For more information and what modes are supported by your Apple product refer to:

  • Welogic 9.2 jdbc connection pool monitoring section not displaying server

Welogic 9.2 managed jdbc connection pool monitoring section not displaying server name. Can you please let me know how can i achive this

    Hi,
It happens if the Connectivity is Lost b/w DataBase & WLS Server...In that case in the WLS AdminConsole---DataSource---Monitoring Tab you wont see even the Testing Page with valid datasource to test it.
So please make sure that the N/W connectivity proper....One more thing you can try:
    <h3><font color=red>Test-1</font></h3>
You can use *“weblogic.Admin”* utility to Enable and Disable the Pool (DataSource) Just to Confirm whether the dataSource is actually active or not::
Step1). run *"setWLSEnv.sh"* first in the same Shell prompt....then do the following:
    Step2). To suspend:
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:7001 -username weblogic -password weblogic SUSPEND_POOL YourDataSourceName
    Step3). To re-enable:
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:7001 -username weblogic -password weblogic RESUME_POOL YourDataSourceName
To test whether you are getting any Exception or Error while doing this....If yes u are getting any Error or exception then It means there May be some Database connectivity issue...
    <h3><font color=red>Test-2</font></h3>
Please use the following Utility to Test the Database connectivity from your WLS Server box:
    <font color=maroon>
    java -classpath /opt/app/bea/weblogic92mp2/weblogic92/server/lib/weblogic.jar -Dbea.home=/opt/app/bea/weblogic92mp2   utils.dbping ORACLE_THIN DbUserName DBPassword somethingDbUrl.Something.net:1521:dbInstance
    </font>
    Syntax:
    java   -classpath /opt/app/bea/weblogic92mp2/weblogic92/server/lib/weblogic.jar   -Dbea.home=/opt/app/bea/weblogic92mp2   utils.dbping   ORACLE_THIN   <DBUserName>   <DBPassword>   <DBURL>
The above utilty will test the DB Connectivity ...you need to run it from your WLS server Box...

  • Wireless network monitor says I'm not connected to internet, but I am?

    Hi,
I have a WRT54G v6 and a WUSB54GC. I can connect to the inter just fine and for the most part the linksys  wireless network monitor says I'm connected to the access point and internet. The problem is occasionally it will says that I'm connected to the access point but the internet when I really am and I can browse the web just fine. I get the not connected to internet msg for a few minutes then it just goes back to connected. Any ideas?

    Hi...
I think here the issue may be that the utility and the internet connection are not getting synchronised. The operating system on your computer is it win XP? If it is win xp, u can use the windows wireless software to manage to your wireless network. In order to use the windows wireless zero configuration, right click on the linksys icon at the bottom right hand corner of the task bar, select the option that says "use windows wireless ....".
The linksys icon will be grayed and windows will be managing the wireless network. Connect to your wireless network and you should be able to go online.

  • Can you mirror a Mac Mini to an AppleTV 3 when the mac mini is not connected to a display?

Hello, I have an AppleTV 3 connected to my television and a late 2012 Mac Mini that is not connected to a display/monitor/tv, but I use it as my iTunes server to stream media to the appletv .  However, I was hoping I could mirror the Mac Mini to the AppleTV in order to see Safari and regular Hulu on the television, but when I try, the picture is scrambled and crashes the mac mini.  I turn on airplay mirroring using the Rowmote application on my iphone since I cannot see what the mac mini is displaying.
Additionally, I tried connecting the mac mini to a 2nd hdmi port in the television, while the appletv is connected to the 1st hdmi port, but the image was also scrambled with mirroring turned on.  My television also has a VGA port that can connect to the Mac Mini, but I figure the same problem will occur and have not bought the DVI to VGA cords.
Is there a way to mirror a mac mini to an appletv without the mac mini connected to a separate display and if so, what am I doing wrong?
Thank you for the responses, I appreciate any help.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).
On the basis of the specifications you have given for your set up, mirroring should work.

  • My imac will not detect external monitor after recent update. Is there a way to fix this?

I have a VGA monitor plugged in to my imac using the VGA adapter to the mini-DVI.  All was working well.  Since I updated over the weekend, the computer will not detect the monitor.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I have tried another VGA monitor and that failed as well.  Since you don't think the update was the cause, it may be that the adapter I am using decided to call it quits.  I will see if I can find another and test that out.
I will look into the external drive idea as well.
Thanks for your help on this.
I didn't think about the adaptor, but you should at least visually inspect both the adaptor and the cable at both ends. If one or more pins got bent even slightly the connection might fail. The cables can also fail internally. Replacing the adaptor and cable may be the quickest thing to do initially. If you want to try to save money, first replace the adaptor, and if the problem persists, then go replace the cable (or vice versa).

  • Macbook pro(2008 later) can not recognise external monitor(NEC UXI2090) with mini-DP to DVI adapter with 9600GT

I bought mini-DP to DVI frome Apple several monthes ago and it worked well in that time until yesterday the external monitor show me no signal sign. Other PCs were connected with the same cable and monitor and they are fine. I am wondering there is something wrong in the adaptor or macbook pro. Furthermore I found the external monitor can display nornally when I switched to 9400 graphic card and used mini-DP to VGA adapter. If I switch to 9600GT no signal again. If I switch 9400 using mini-DVI, it is shown on the external screening: Out of range... In a word, In the mode of 9600GT, mac can not recognise external monitor(I can not detect it in the systerm preference even I press detect display buttun) and 9400 works in VGA mode. However when I connect adapter to mac, the screen showed blue flash.
I reseted SMC, no use; I created a new account or enter mac to safe mode, no use; so far I did not reseted PRAM beacuse of something wrong of my system. I am downlaoding Mountain Lion OS and will install it. Then I will reset PRAM and try again.
I do not know whether I shoud change the adapter or the single-link DVI cable to dual-link. Someone said it is useful in their condition. I tried some methods from BBS, such as connected when devices were off and then open, and so on. I failed.
    Any suggestion for this problem?
    Addition: OS: 10.7.4(Lion)

I turns out that the logic board of my MacBook Pro was faulty (despite being brand new).
I took it to the Apple Store, presented the problem, and one of the Tech's came to the same conclusion that I had -- hardware failure.  Phone support was no help in the matter (and even told me that what I was trying to do wasn't a supported option, which is rediculous).  However, the Genius Bar did take care of the problem, and my MacBook Pro was back to me with a replaced logic board within a few days.
    Hope that htis helps.

  • Can I connect 2 monitors to a Mac Mini?

I am thinking of buying a Mac Mini for an art installation project and will need to connect two monitors to it. Please can someone let me know if I can connect more than 1 monitor to a Mac mini. Can they be 19" monitors or must they be smaller resolution? Do they have to be of a particular specification? Any recommendations? Thanks very much.

A simple splitter would theoretically support anything up to the mini's maximum resolution, but in practice it depends on the actual displays being used as the whether the mini correctly identifies the devices and offers the correct range of resolution options. Some juggling (such as disconnecting one display while the system boots or wakes from sleep) can help, but it really does depend on the display(s) as to whether the mini behaves correctly via a splitter of this sort.
The Matrox device is technically far better because it presents itself to the mini as a single display, but of course it limits maximum resolution across both screens, and thus isn't really all that attractive a proposition unless 15" LCDs are to be used rather than anything larger.
The USB-based device seems to offer the best of both worlds - or at least will offer the best of both worlds when released with tried and tested Mac drivers. It's not all that clear why Mac drivers have been slow in coming for these devices when they have been around for Windows for some time now, and a number of manufacturers had pre-announced Mac versions as much as a year ago. At the general price of $99 or so, a USB adaptor would provide a reasonably low cost and (importantly) flexible way to add a second display.... if such a device can be currently had!
The forgoing is the reason the 'yes' answer is not the short one!
