6680 caller id probs

My 6680 only recognises some callers/text msgs id's, despite the fact that they are all in my phonebook. (I don't get there name up). Also if I try to restore original settings, it asks to exit all current actions. It should ask for the security code?. I think it needs a full reset. Does anybody know the full reset code, or can anyone help with this problem. thanks: keith.

Hi petrib. Thank you for your suggestions. I do not have the same number assigned to many contacts. Your second idea sound good, but I want to be sure exactly what it does. If it only re formats the internal drive, then I don't think it will work. I need to reset the original software. eg: my 3650 had problems with bluetooth and sending text messages. I put in the following code *#7370# and it cured all the problems. I lost all files I had put in inc messages and numbers, and lost any files/updates I had installed.
It reverted back to it's original factory settings.
I feel that this is what I need for my 6680. Unless of course what you have suggested is the same thing.
Thanks again

  • Call Transaction prob

    Hi All,
    I am calling XD02 transaction at line selection in a report. But the user wants the report to display directly sales screen when clicked.
    For example : If the user clicks ok 123 Sold to Party : I need to pass 123 to XD02 and select sales Check box and display directly the Sales related data.
    Now my prob is how can i select the Check box 'Sales' at run time..before calling transaction.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    check the F1 details of that 'Sold to Party' in that message.
    In the "Techincal information" box look for the Parameter ID. Write down the field name and parameter ID.
    then define the parameter ID and set it as below and then use it in call transaction.
    I have used below the parameter ID anr for screen field input-field as example
    at line selection
    if (input-field ne space)
    set parameter id 'anr' field input-field.
    call transaction 'T_CODE' and skip first screen.
    endif.
    clear input_buffer.
    revert back if needed further clarification
    thanks

  • URGENT - Help on RMI & Proxy - Call back prob

    Hi
    I have made small RMI, where RMI server is running in Webserver [ which is not even Proxy]. It is working fine for all the clients except clients under firewall/Proxy.
    Please let me know, Can we implement RMI Server able to call back the clients [ which are under proxy ]
    If so , what modifications i have to do ???
    Note
    1. Client Able to access the RMI Server. But From the Server, i can not able to Call back the Client.
    2. I am passing clientRef through remotemethod on the remoteObject . Then the ClientRef will be stored in Server. When trying to call back throgh the ClientRef, I am getting Exception, RemoteException such that i could not able to connect/not found. The same concept is working if the Clients are not in Proxy
    Please help immediately.
    Sampath Ramanujan.

    If I am not wrong RMI multiplexing protocol wsa a temporary solution to this problem. It was introduced in JDK 1.02 pre release of RMI. But this Protocol has been disabled since JDK 1.2.2.
    If however JDK1,4 if the improved RMI protocol is biderectional this will solve the problem.

  • Diverse 7460 not recording when on another call.

    I have a BT Diverse 7460 - great phone. However, the answer machine only seems to record messages when the phone is on the hook. If I'm on a call then the outgoing message plays immediately, the beep is played and the caller can leave their message. However, there is no indication on the phone that either the call or the message were received and there is no message to play back. Is there something I can change to allow this call to behave the same whether I'm on a call or not?
    Thanks in advance.

    Just to confirm what Keith has said.
    If you are already on a call, either incoming or outgoing your answer phone will not be able to answer the calls.
    as Keith says, calls  have prob been answered by 1571. Suggest you dial 1571 to retrieve them.

    Hi,
    My .conf looks like this.....
    name = "mydriver" class="scsi"
    target=0 lun=0
    target=15 lun=0
    /*added my stuff here*/
    blocks_per_bit=16

    why add_drv or drv_config is calling my probe routine 4times for 15 targets? totally, it is calling my probe routine 60 times.
    can any one help me in this ?
    thanks

    I don't have any fibrechannel devices on my laptop. But have you tried fibreconfig(8)?
    fibreconfig -- Tool for configuring settings for Fibre Channel controllers and targets.
    -r Dynamically updates system settings. Note: Cannot be used in
    conjunction with -c option.
    Maybe this willl do what you want?

  • Sap Netweaver 4.0 testdrive on linux - impossible to connect from sapgui

    Hi guys,
    i've just finished to install the NW40 testdrive on a linux box, based on Redhat 9.0 distro (as requested by the equirements). At the end of installation, i have two boxes
    One box with winxp sp1 called Darkstar with i.p. 192.168.100.1 and Subnet mask 255.255.0.0
    The second box (with linux and NW40) called Darkmoon (prob. i was too bored to think a completly different name ) with i.p. 192.168.100.15 and subnet mask 255.255.0.0
    The /etc/hosts file of the linux box contain these entries :
    127.0.0.1     Darkmoon
    192.168.100.15     Darkmoon.locadomain.ext
    195.155.155.1     nw4host
    The last line was taked from other posts found in SDN forum. I followed all the install steps and the db and the instances going-up very well, without any problem.
    If i ping the two boxes, they reply each-others (from winxp to linux and vice-versa).
    The "hostname" command in the linux box, return only "Darkmoon" as request by installation steps.
    Now the problem.
    On the winxp box i have installed sapgui 6.20. In it, I've created an entry with these information:
    Description : Linux box
    Application server : 192.168.100.15
    System number : 00
    When i try to connect with double clink on that entry, i have the following error :
    Partner not reached (host 192.168.100.15, service sapdp00)
    Component NI (Network interface)
    Release 6.20
    Ver 36
    Return code -10
    System call SO_ERROR
    Error text : WSACONNREFUSED
    Seems the boxes don't see between them.
    Could be a hosts file problem on linux box???
    Someone of u could give me some help ??
    Could be very unhappy couln't use NW40 just for a little error.
    Thx a lot for all your hints and suggestions

    The firts answer is yes, i've started the instance with the command "startsap", and the instance comes up.
    I can see the processed with ps -ef .

  • Time Machine disk not mounting after sleep

    Greetings,
    I am having a problem with the external USB disk (500GB Iomega) that I have set up for Time Machine not remounting after my iMac wakes back up. Nothing I have tried, short of rebooting, seems to cause the Mac to notice the drive. I have tried turning the drive off and back on, but that didn't work, and neither did unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable. (I suppose obviously) Time Machine won't do any backups and complains that "The storage location for Time Machine backups can't be found." Time Machine Set Up says "Next Backup: When Disk is Connected." If I reboot, the disk will show up and Time Machine will commence backups, but then, after the machine sleeps, I have the same problem again.
    When I first plugged the drive in last night the computer immediately recognized it, mounted it, and asked me if I wanted to use it for Time Machine. I didn't have to do anything. I then successfully started Time Machine and it did its initial and several hourly backups as expected. Then the machine went to sleep and the disk never came back (short of a reboot).
    The computer is a brand new 24-inch, 2.8Ghz, iMac with Leopard installed from the included DVD immediately after opening the box - I did nothing before installing Leopard.
    This is my first Mac (I am a Unix refugee) so I may very well be doing something entirely stupid, but surely external disks should still be mounted (or automount) after the computer returns from sleep. What am I doing wrong? I also don't see any way to force Leopard to mount the drive, but I probably just don't know where to look.
    To be completely clear... the drive is plugged directly into the iMac on USB, no external hub. There is no networking involved with this disk. I didn't make any kind of settings to the disk (either to the disk itself- there aren't any, or on the iMac when I plugged the disk in). The only thing I did was answer "Yes" when Time Machine popped up a window asking if I wanted to use the new disk for backups. Last time the disk was mountet (before the computer went to sleep again) I ran the Disk Utility and it said the drive was fine.
    Thanks,
    Mark
    P.S. I'm sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find it. Like I say, I'm new to the Mac and to these forums, so please forgive me if this post is redundant.

    Greetings,
    intelligenceresigned wrote:
    Ok, I went into console, and forced my iMac to sleep to see what the console would show was actually happening. I am not a very computer savvy person, but this is what the console said:
    Nov 8 21:50:27 steve-freunds-computer kernel[0]: USBF: 48332.754 AppleUSBEHCI[0x52ab000]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0xfa, timing out! (Addr: 3, EP: 2)
    I believe this may be related to the problem. The AppleUSBEHCI appears to identify the offending driver/controller as the EHCI controller (Enhanced Host Controller Interface), or the controller that handles usb 2.0 High Speed (usually usb 1.1 and 2.0 Full Speed are handled by something that would be called a UHCI or Universal Host Controller Interface) USB High Speed is the fastest of the three usb speeds and although the interface is compatable with the slower speeds, works rather differently than the other two. Beyond that I'll have to look into what this message means (I'm brand new to the Mac - I've only had this one a couple of weeks).
    *Could others that are seeing this problem please post how many usb ports on the computer, not total devices connected to hubs or anything, but actual, physical ports on the computer that they are using?* Experimenting a little, on mine at least, I have not had the problem discussed in this thread when only two (out of the three available) of the physical USB ports on the Mac are used. Again on mine at least, it also doesn't seem to matter what, with the exception of external hubs, is plugged into the ports. Replacing the external drive with a flash drive or iPod Touch produces the same results, so it doesn't appear to have anything to do with the Iomega drive that I started seeing the problem with - it may be that that was just the third thing I plugged in (or not - I realize that I am a sample of one).
    It also seems to be that things connected to an external hub continue to work after the other two ports have failed. This is probably why most keyboards (mercifully) keep working - they are usually hubs (Apple's external ones are). I can't guarantee this however because I haven't really tested it - just observed it so far to be the case for me so far. Hubs do work differently than ordinary usb "functions" as the usb spec calls them.
    Lastly...
    If you have Xcode installed (assuming you have it installed in the default /Developer location) there is a tool in /Developer/Applications/Utilities called "USB Prober" that can provide some useful USB information.
    In my case, once a device stops working I see the status of the non-functioning devices reported as:
    High Speed device @ 2 (0xFA200000): ............................................. External HD (did not respond to inquiry - 0xe00002ed, might be Suspended)
    High Speed device @ 3 (0xFA400000): ............................................. HP Color LaserJet 2605dn (did not respond to inquiry - 0xe0004051, might be Suspended)
    And indeed the usb ports in question do appear to be behaving as if the host (the Mac) has them suspended - but I can't be entirely sure. I will try to look into this some more later if I can.
    Thanks,
    Mark
    P.S. To save questions: I've tried all the easy stuff: Switched cables, swapped out the hub I have on one of the ports, tried different devices in the ports (so far an HP printer, Iomega external disk, iPod Touch, and Sony usb flash drive). Nothing resolved the issue. My keyboard and mouse are connected to a 2.0 High Speed hub. I've tried using another hub, but it didn't make any difference.

  • Finite pulse-train generation with variable time lapses with NiDAQmx

    Being a newby in Labview and NiDAQmx, I find it tedious to program the application I need to drive my experiment : I want to generate a finite pulse train, with variable delays between two consecutive pulses. These delays are known before the experiment starts, summurized in a table (element 0 decribes the time lapse between pulse 0 and 1, element 1 between pulse 1 and 2 ...). I would like to use NiDAQmx to program this. I had in mind the following scheme : two counters, first one counting time between pulses, the second one generating the pulse once "counter one" has finished his job. What I don't figure out is how to reprogram "counter one"'s register, without introducing unwanted delays in the time
    sequence of my finite pulse train. I am using a 6052E DAQ, and I want to generate delays in a same pulse train ranging from 1 microsecond up to 20 seconds.
    Thank you for ANY help :-)

    Hello !
    Well, I will try to be more precise while answering your questions. But first let me thank you very much for your help : your comments, questions and remarks are very helpful to help me shape my project, as you shed light on particular problems I strictly had no idea before !
    1) I can certainly get on well with digital output as my flash device is triggered by TTL signals.
    2) The lighting device is home-made, and I think it will be better for my needs to produce light throughout the duration of the input at the “on” level. In any case it will be driven by TTL-like signals. The intensity is manually set, so no analog control is required.
    3) I will use Labview to collect the experimental data. The signal will be sampled during the light pulse : the rising edge of the TTL-like output signal will trigger both the lighting device and the data acquisition, the latter being stopped on the falling edge. The light emitted by the lighting device is called a “probe” for the following reasons : the photons are absorbed by the photosynthetic sample and “immediately” re-emitted at a longer wavelength. A photodiode acts as a signal transducer, and I monitor the intensity of this fluorescence. Knowing precisely when light pulses occurred after the initial start excitation (which is also a brief pulse of light but of a much greater intensity than the “probe” light) and the intensity of light emitted during theses pulses, I can reconstruct the kinetic of fluorescence decay. This kinetic reflects the behaviour of my biological sample. Thus no continuous acquisition is required as between two light pulses there is nothing to monitor. And all the half-time reaction are timed relative to the same “start” excitation as they reflect a jump sequence of an electron extracted by the “start” excitation : first jumps are quick ones (half-time in the 10 s range) and last jumps are slow ones (half-time in the 1 s range). With respect to these kinetics, I would like a 1 s precision. If not achievable, I could skip the quickest jump (but it would be a pity) and focus on the second one which has a 10 ms half-time reaction and a 100 s precision would then be enough. But as we say in French : “Qui peut le plus, peut le moins !” (roughly meaning that when you can achieve the best, you easily can do the least). This precision relates to the position of one flash with respect to the others. I don’t need to be very precise on the duration of each individual light pulse : a typical value is 100 s duration, but I can get on well with 90 s or 110 s, my data being an average of the light intensity emitted during the light pulse). All I want to know precisely is when it is fired.
    4) Concerning the hardware, I already have a NI 6052E DAQ board, and unfortunately my laboratory cannot allow me to spend more money on this. I also have a fast acquisition board (IMTEC T3012) I intended to use to acquire my photodiode signal in place of the 6052E A/D converter. It has an old Labview driver, and I managed to upgrade it to suit my needs. It has an onboard segmented memory and can keep track precisely (it has a 60 MHz sample clock) of a trigger event. I am wondering if I can overcome the timing precision issue with this board, knowing that I strictly don’t care that flash n1 is triggered at (t0 + 10 s) or (t0 + 11 s), provided that I know it, allowing me to place precisely my data point on the time scale. I can program the number of memory segments (i.e. the number of light pulses) and each one is filled with data coming from the photodiode upon receiving the rising edge triggering the light pulse. The precise date at which each triggered is received is stored in the board memory, allowing time reconstruction.
    I do hope this is much clearer than my previous attempts ! Believe me, it is quite hard to leave biology for a while and enter the cryptic world of data acquisition !

  • Trying to use USB nintendo controllers

    This is all a lot to read, so I appreciate your time.
    I recently bought a pair of NES controllers (they are like joysticks) that were modified to connect to computers through USB. Connecting the controllers to my Windows XP computer and looking at the properties reveals that the controllers are HID compliant. They worked on Windows XP with the old nintendo emulator I have, but they do not work with my Macbook. When I connect the controllers to the USB ports, my Macbook shows no recognition, except for a brief (about a minute long) loss of smoothness on my mouse (actually my trackpad). Regardless of what I do, I cannot get the controllers to work with anything I use.
    During the hours spent trying to solve the problem, I tried all the recommended programs for my case (USB Overdrive, GamePadCompanion, etc.). I have even found a post in another forum with my exact problem (though there was no solution their either):
    http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=8265
    I then found a program called USB Prober, which revealed three log messages associated with the controllers:
    1.637 [1] [0x3877300] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 1 of hub @ location: 0x1d000000)
    5.190 [1] [0x3877300] The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device.
    3.517 [1] AppleUSBUHCI[0x369c000]::UIMCheckForTimeouts Too many loops around
    The first two always happen in succession after I connect a controller, and appear to be a failure of the computer to recognize the controllers. The third message happens after the controller is connected for a while, and keeps repeating itself even after the controller is disconnected.
    I plan to use the controllers with Nestopia and Emulator Enhancer (a nintendo emulator, and a Nestopia add-on that is supposed to add joystick compatibility).
    If anyone has advice, please let me know.
    Relevant questions to answer would be:
    Am I doing anything wrong?
    Is my case impossible to solve?
    Do macs (specifically my Macbook) have support for all HID compliant devices?
    Is it possible that all the programs I have installed (USB Overdrive, Emulator Enhancer, GamePagCompanion, etc.) are somehow clashing to make my controllers undetectable?
    Do you know of a driver that can solve my problem?
    Thanks for the help!

    Anyone?

  • Brand New Macbook Pro one of the USB wont recognize device

    Hi, I recently acquired a brand new macbook pro i5 core model for school. It was running perfect and I was so happy with my machine the last few days then suddenly last night my mouse didnt work no more. I thought it was strange so I tried the port that was closer to the power adapter and it worked in that slot. I tried plugging it into it several times again and no luck. I tried restarting my computer, no luck. I tried plugging in my Ipod nano, no luck but works in the other one. I went on here and looked for options. So then I tried resetting the Pram, and the smc, several several times, to no avail. I then even got this thing call usb prober and that didnt make it recognize it either. I am at a lost of what to do. The strange thing is though it WILL run my laptop cooler, it just will not recognize any devices?? Any help without having to go to a Genius would be great, thanks

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    Your USB port may not be delivering the power it should. The best thing to do would make an appointment at the genius bar and have it evaluated. You are under warranty, and this sounds like it may be a hardware problem that Apple needs to fix for you.
    Good luck!

    Hello Al,
    I have a feeling it's going to be too difficult, perhaps even for Sound Soap. I think Sound Soap learns a frequency level of the noise you want cut, and it suppresses that.
    I've been able to manually do this using FCE's parametric equaliser (with a bit of frequency calculation) for general background hum (like 50Hz electricity hum), but I fear the mobile phone interference contains too many frequencies.
    Anyway, worth a shot at posting this query in this forum.
    cheers,

  • Noobe question

    What I want to do is to clip on to a chip on a known good working
    board and record the data coming from the chip. Hopefully finding a
    steady clock line as a basis. Then using this data for a certain
    period of time I will compare this to a non-working board looking for
    any chips that don't match up. I would have to put the board in some
    kind of loop mode. What kind of hardware would I need to do something
    like this? Using labview of course. I would also like to be able to
    compare one pin to another looking for linked pins, or pins shorted to
    ground or VCC links and high impedance or low impedance pins also. 96
    plus pins. Is there a particular PCI board that can do something like
    this? I am just not sure what to buy before jumping in. Any ideas.
    Thanks
    Uriah

    My very first exposure to automatic test equipment, 30+ years ago, used the exact same approach. You can accomplish this with some basic digital I/O. You need enough for the stimulus and the number of points you need to sense. The problem is that you can only use this for really basic digital designs. Once you start adding processors and other programmable devices, you run into problems. For one, you might have to run the i/o at system speed. This will drive up the cost of the external hardware. Another is the complexity of generating the correct stimulus patterns. It's not enough to simply throw a bunch of random 1's and 0's to the input pins of the UUT. Having the ability to simulate the circuit and output the results can be extremely helpful. You might also have physical problems with using a 'clip'. While that was reasonably effective years ago when everything was 14 and 16 pin DIPs on 100 mil centers, those are pretty rare today.
    You might want to investigate a more modern approach. If you are manufacturing a reasonable number of boards, doing an ICT (In-Circuit Test) on the board will test all components, locate all shorts and opens in a fraction of the time, and with greater accuracy than your technique. Fixturing and programming is pretty expensive, though. A lower cost alternative is something called flying probe. A large percentage of contract manufacturers that build and stuff boards will offer both. For a bench test, you should also look at JTAG. A brief overview can by found on Wikepedia.

  • Anybody with Road Runner problems

    Hey all,
    This MBPro connectivity thing is really numbing and getting old and I see a lot of people with problems and just wondering if anyone has traced it to Road Runner issues.
    Have had RR for years.
    I have never had internet connection problems until this last month and the new things in the equation are a Belkin N router and the MBPro purchased 11/08. I can't upload internet site either.
    just trying to narrow it down...
    Thanks,

    Well RR never called back prob because I said I wanted a new modem...
    positives: my computer has not gone off line since they visited and did some tests, replaced splitter and then I had to press reset on everything: modem, router etc..,
    But I still can't upload to my site - upon getting to a QT file it tries for awhile then I get my FTP timeout.
    Go Daddy had me do a traceroute and send it to them (you can do this without going into terminal on the mac) and they said it was normal and go talk to RR.
    Next step is to install the router software (never did- just plugged it all in) and change some of the router settings and then maybe investigate the MBPro Airport card.
    I wonder if turning off Apple Talk in network prefs makes a diff.
    Never give up,
    Al

    Hi Max,
    The probe routine never gets called. Only info, init and _fini.
    The only way I can get the OS to call the probe and attach
    functions is to modify the conf file to
    name="uvm" parent="pseudo" instance=0
    reg=0,0x80000000,0x10000000;
    But the attach fails when I call the ...prop_op function when
    getting my register adresses.
    The driver is not a real hardware driver, it is used to map free PCI memory to a user application.
    Something must have changed in Solaris 9 since the
    driver works fine with versions priot to this.
    I get the feeling that because Solaris doesn't "see"
    the hardware it only calls info and init.
    I don't know if it makes any difference but this is for x86
    hardware.
    Best regards
    Charles.
    ps
    The probe routine just returns with DDI_PROBE_SUCCESS.

  • Parameter prob when in called form.

    Hi,
    I am facing a peculiar prob in Forms 10g/ back end oracle 10g on Windows. I have two forms abc.fmb and def.fmb. from one menu option I can execute def.fmb directly OR from another menu option I can execute abc.fmb which in turn calls def.fmb. When the form def.fmb is called directly it is working fine but when it is called thru' abc.fmb problem creeps in.
    def.fmb has some statement:
    Display_Block(NAME_IN('work.MAIN_BLOCK'));
    whenever def.fmb is executed directly it is taking the return value of NAME_IN(work.MAIN_BLOCK) properly and runs fine but whenever it is called from abc.fmb it is showing the value of NAME_IN('work.MAIN_BLOCK') as NULL and giving error.
    Any suggestion to rectify the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pragati.

    what ever parameters are the in the parameter list should be present in the called form.
    you don't have to do any thing you can directly use them.
    eg :
    If :parameter.value = <some thing> then
    end if;
