6680 transfering texts

When transfering texts I am finding that the date/time of text is not transfering. I am not geting any errors etc, just a sent value of "00:00:00 00:00:00".
Any ideas?

Everything is stored on iTunes. Create a backup of the device by simply syncing the device. If you want to double check it was backed up, go to "Edit > Preferences > Devices", and you should see "XXX's iPhone 3G" and the current date. If you want to verify each service is backed up:
Contacts will sync based on your settings. When you sync, go to "Info" in iTunes and the "Contacts" will be the first option.
Photos can be synced manually. When you plug it up, you'll have to go in as if it were a camera device and pull them off the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Calendar is a difficult thing to verify, as it depends on service, but usually, if no service is detected, the backup will save it.
Unfortunately, the iPhone cannot store text messages.

  • Transferring Text Attributes

I thought that I could select the block of text on the Left and use the
Copy Character Style command and then select the block of text on the Right and then use a Paste Character Style command to make the Right side look the same as the Left as far as the appearance of the text goes. Why is the Copy Character Style greyed out when I try to do this and how do I go about transferring Character Style from one text block to another text block?
    Thanks
    John

My guess is that you are not selecting the characters but the block containing them.
If I am right, you may see a box with height handles surrounding the block of text.
Enter the block (click) then selected the block's contents (you will get a rectangle with a solid background's color).
Doing that you will be able to Copy the Style.

  • Transfering text messages from old iphone to new iphone.

    Hi there,
Is there any way I can transfer my old messages on my old iphone onto my new Iphone 5?
I've tried backing up and then when I connect my new iphone to itunes starting from the other phones backup instead of starting new, but it hasn't transfered
    my text messages.

go to preferences > devices and delet your back up.
then go to file > device > backup, and restore from that backup.

  • Transferring text messages?

The volume on my old iPhone 5 broke so I just recieved a replacement iPhone 5 in the mail today. I already put my sim card in the new one and have also transferred everything I backed up on iCloud. However, my text messages did not transfer. I thought iCloud had backed them up but it turns out it didn't. I haven't erased everything on my old iPhone yet so they're still on that one. They are also still on my MacBook Pro on the "Messages" app.
Is there anyway I can get them back onto my new iPhone 5?

You can if you back up your old phone, then restore the backup to your new one.  Assuming your old phone no longer has service, you'll have to back it up to your computer using iTunes.  Connect it to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Back Up.  Then connect your new phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Restore from Backup, choosing the backup of your old phone to restore from.

  • Transfering text from one class to another

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble with getting the text from a textArea in a frame to transfer from one class to another.
I could really use any help given.

    Hello Saqib,
The requirement to transfer asset with value date in the past year contradict the objective of audit trail established in the system although it is technically possible to do. Perhaps you should convince your client to adopt the standard approach, i.e. value date as at the date of asset transfer.
    Kind regards,

  • Transferring Texts From 6230i to E65

Using Nokia PC Suite I have moved my contacts from my 6230i to my E65. However, when I tried to import the texts I get a message that says "The connected phone (E65) does not have multimedia message support installed. Multimedia messages cannot be imported"
I thought the E65 would have this capability but, in addition to this, the texts Im looking to transfer are text only, not pictures or video.
Any ideas as to how I can move my text messages over?
    Thanks

Click on "Get Connected" in PCSuite and it will install a file called MMSync (or something like that) then you should be able to do this.

  • Transferring text from Word

I have a Word file with 65 pages of text that is formatted with Word styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, and son on) in outline form. I need to transfer this information to Keynote. Any ideas?

If you have PowerPoint, you might try using it to import the Word file, and then open the saved result in Keynote. PowerPoint will do its best to respect the styles, and Keynote will do its best to preserve the PowerPoint formatting.

  • Transfering texts to new phone

My X is having hardware issues and must be replaced. My question is can I transfer my text messages to my replacement.
    Thanks,

There are a number of ways, but one of the easiest is to go to the Market and grab a free program. This one works perfectly and will dump a backup file to your SD Card. When you get the new phone, simply download the program again, hit restore and it will find your backup copy.

  • Transfering text from 5s to 6plus

I am trying to transfer my text messages from my 5s to my 6plus. I only get part of my texts and not all. I have backed up to the computer and to iCloud and tried to recover both ways and neither way gets all my texts messages. Any suggestions?

Chris, It is beyond me too. We have backuped the old device 5 times and then restored the new device from that backup. We tried doing it over the computer and over iCloud and got the same results. I am beginning to believe Einstein was right. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. I am there!! Thanks for the effort of trying to help. I may be visiting the Apple Store soon, but there isn't one close by which is a problem.
